teachermom wrote:2010-WOW! 16 eggs?? That’s so awesome. Can’t wait to hear the fertilization report.

Ashley- So sorry to hear your news. Rant away my friend- you deserve it! That’s what we’re here for.

Mizzy- welcome! I was on pretty much the same doses of meds and had the same response. I have low ovarian reserve so I respond poorly to meds. The last 2 cycles my RE had me skip the BCP and go straight to stims. The 1st cycle I had a dominant follicle, but the 2nd cycle worked and I got 7 eggs, 5 of which fertilized and 3 great embies transferred. Were you on BCP before you started the stims?

Me2009- I take estrace orally 2x a day and do endometrin 3 times a day up the “v-jj” you’re funny! I so badly want to take a HPT, but I’m so afraid to do it!!

Amysbabies, Jenice and Happier- this 2ww surely seems like a 2MONTH wait!! 5 more days! I try to put it out of my mind, but it is IMPOSSIBLE! Do any of you feel anything yet? I have been feeling some light pinching and a little nauseous, but I am so afraid to let myself think they are pregnancy symptoms.

Turtle Franny- Hopefully there were other small ones there that will catch up since 10mm is not that big yet. If there are smaller ones they will have plenty of time to catch up. Go for your massage soon so you can try to relax and take some of the stress away. I know it’s easier said than done. So glad your roof is done and you have some peace and quiet now.

JENICE_ just read your new post! WOO HOOO!!!! Congratulations!! That is so exciting! I got goose bumps when I read you’re pregnant. I think it’s gonna be a great day for BFP’s on Wednesday!!! You are starting us off right!!!!!

Kerribell- keep up the PMA—there is no better reason to kiss a horse’s ass!! Right JENICE??

AFM- I want to POAS soooo badly. I’m terrified. I have 1 stick left after my IUI last cycle so I want to make sure I use it when I have the best chance of it being accurate.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Love, luck and baby dust to us all.

Teachermom--Thanks so much for the welcome! So went to RE for u/s today now only 2 follicles and RE decided to cancel and rest for a couple of months then try again another cycle with different meds. She stated I'm not getting good blood flow to my ovaries since all my prior surgeries etc.. ectopic, fibroids... So better luck next time. Now it's time for acupuncture and prayer.

Thanks again for your support.

:)

hi ladies, thank you for doing the personal! I will do it tomorrow. I am excited and nervous about tomorrow ET. I only went to bed at 3 in the morning last night.

One short question! For ET, do I need to take Valium? Does anyone take Valium before ET? My previous RE prescribed it but not the current RE. Thanks in advance!

Have a happy Sunday and wish everyone has BFP ASAP!

Dodo - nope, no valium. I was only prescribed a prometrium to insert 1/2 hour before procedure. I think ET is a breeze! Just like an IUI. At my clinic, DH is allowed in the room and sits right next to me - we get to watch everything happening on the screen right next to us, while we hold hands :D . Don't worry, be happy and try to relax - this is the goooood part!

katie99 - thanks for moving me on the status list, but i'm not PUPO yet. my embies were mostly at pre-blast this morning, so ET is tomorrow (monday)! :) First beta will be 12/2.

kerribell - congrats, you are PUPO! :D

claud662 - grow follies grow! slow is good.

jenice - so excited for your +s - here's hoping the beta confirms it! yay!

turtle0619 - your day six u/s sounds similar to mine. two days later i went from 4 follies to 15.

ttc4474 - hurrah for stimming!

teachermom - hang in there - beta day is almost here!

me2009 - woohoo for being PUPO! we have the same beta date (though my ET is tomorrow). no way am i POAS!

2010 - 7 fertilized is still a great number. that probably doesn't help with all the swelling and bloating that comes with removing 16 eggs, however. did your doctor comment on whether that was an expected rate or not?

lou71 - i don't know which would be more effective for you, but my doc has me on estrace.

dodo928 - so excited for you - i'll be doing the ET tomorrow too. rest up! you've done a mock embryo transfer, right? should be similar except for the full bladder.

Brooklyngirl - welcome!

AFM, my embryonic army is mostly intact. I'm down to 11 (7 pre-blast, 4 morula stage) as of 7 am this morning. I'm a little anxious to get those embies in me to start growing! DH has been wonderful and understanding throughout this process. Last night he took me out for fancy sushi, so yummy; I really don't know how I'll make it 9 months w/o such deliciousness. See, I've still got my PMA though I am still sore and bloated (and damn tired) all the time...not good, as work is going to get very busy as we transition to shift work day after T-day. Seven days on, two days off, seven days on, two days off, etc. At least it will keep my mind off the 2WW that awaits me tomorrow.

supergenius: I'm so happy to have a buddy. Can you repeat again whether I need a full bladder for tomorrow ET or not? Nobody told us about that! Just want to double confirm.

dodo - you definitely need a full blatter. our ET was at 9 30 am and what they had told me was to empty my blatter first thing in the morning, then drink 20 oz between 7 am and 9:30. if you drink too much you may have a hard time with the u/s pushing on your blatter during the ET but they can always make you empty some of it before if they see it's too full. (b/c i grew up with the metrics system i always get so confused with oz and drank 60 oz instead of 20 before our ET, i was so worried i would not drink enough ... needless to say i was not comfortable... they had me empty quite a bit before the ET, and even then i could tell the RE was a bit worried i would pee on him during the procedure :)

supergenius - congrats on the superarmy and good luck for ET this week...

brooklyngirl - welcome & good luck for this upcoming cycle! ER on your birthday would be kind of neat, wouldn't it?? we are doing FET with embryos from our september cycle and had ER was on my birthday too, i feel like those snow babies are so special because they were conceived on my birthday... i know it's silly but i feel like they have a special bond with us and will bring us the BFP as a belated b-day gift :)

jenice - wow, congrats on your + HPTs!!

fingers & toes crossed for all the beta girls this week

afm - dropped off our dog at a "pet resort & day spa" before we head out of town for thanskgiving. we signed him up for day camp morning & afternoon AND turkey dinner on thankgiving. i swear that is going to cost me more than our trip out of town and my IVF meds combined :)

happy thanksgiving everyone!

Julia - Hahahahaha! I am always scared I will not drink enough either. This time I had to empty 4 and 3/4 cups before ET. They told me to drink between 24 and 36oz. Obviously, my kidneys were working really well that morning!

thank you! if I had my ET between noon and 1230pm, I will empty bladder at 930am and drink 20oz between 1000 to 1200. i don't used to 20oz too but i have a measuring cup. i will use it. thanks a lot! have a wonderful thanksgiving family reunion!

dodo928: Yes to the full bladder, and my DR did prescribe valium. I forgot to bring it, and they said it was no big deal. I had been through several IUIs, and so I wasn't concerned. The only thing that was uncomfortable for me was that they cathetered me after the procedure (since I had a full bladder) so that I wouldn't have to get up for 30 minutes and would be comfortable.

They also let my husband in the room. He had to put on scrubs and he looked so handsome! He kept commenting on how comfortable they were, so he may be getting some scrubs in his stocking  . Good luck tomorrow, and try to relax! It's really a simple procedure tomorrow; the wait afterwards is what is so hard!
