Franny
So glad u r feeling better!
Teachermom
Congrats on your HUGE beta!!yeah!!!!
Katie
Thanks for the info. That makes me feel so much better to know my numbers look good! I think my RE knows that I am the type to worry about things till it makes me sick so he is trying to give me as little information as possible and also trying not to upset me with bad news and hopes to suprise me with better news than expected! What he doesn't realize is that what I don't know makes me more anxious. I am a nurse and I hate that I don't know all this stuff so I can be in control and be sure they don't screw anything up like the last time but I cant control what I don't know! I think this control issue has been mentioned by others in the past so I guess at least I am not alone! LOL! Yes I am on synthroid for hypothyroidism. Now that I think about it though I wanted them to check my TSH too just before I started stims and they didn't do it! Well its not likely I will get it done today. I guess I won't worry about it. It was good a couple months ago. Not that I am at all signing up for this last chance club by my choice but I will be praying for us all! It really sucks to be in that club for sure! DH says he thinks we just weren't meant to have kids that is why we can't and he doesn't really care if we ever do, so I hope I can prove him wrong on that one!!! Is there any website u can go to that tells each day of stims what they want your estrogen and follicle sizes to be so I don't have to keep asking?
Well good luck to everyone and happy thanksgiving!

Good Morning Ladies and Happy Turkey Day!! I just got back from the DR where for the FIRST time I had NO wait and was in and out in 10 minutes ( I am usually there 1 hour-1 1/2 hours!!) So my day started great and then I found out that my lining was a 7.5!!!! That is the highest I have ever gotten and I still have at least one more day for it to get over 8mm!!! I am growing about 8 on my right and about 6 on my left and my DR thinks I will trigger tomorrow night or possibly Saturday night!!!! I am trying not to get my hopes up too much, but of course that's not possible

Franny-I was so sad when I read your "debbie downer" post but then the old Franny that I love came back and you are such an amazing woman and your time will come and I can't wait till we can celebrate together!

Teachermom-HOLY HOLY HOLY COW!!! Those are some crazy numbers and I can't wait to hear your second beta.

justwannabamom-I am also the same way where I want every piece of information possible!! I have started emailing my DR who is really good about giving me details and I find that they are more specific in writing then telling me over the phone or in person. But your numbers totally seem in range and I hope your first b/w u/s your follies are growing nicely!!

Jenice-CONGRATS!! Although you knew it beforehand from your HPT, it must be nice to have that confirmation!! You are giving hope to a lot of women on this board :P

amysbabies-I am keeping everything crossed for you that your second beta jumps up 60%!!! But as of now your preggers and enjoy the moment!

albany-4 pee breaks a night?!?!! that is crazy!!! Are you going to POAS!?!?

ashley-good luck on your ER today and hopefully you are able to enjoy your big Turkey dinner later tonight!!! keep us updated...

Katie-Thanks for updating the list!! I can't wait until you begin this process again (soon!!)

afm...I'm going to wear my cutest pair or leggings tonight to dinner since my bloating is officially out of control and I hope that everything grows nicely for tomorrow's b/w u/s and that I will actually get to take my trigger shot this time and go through with the retrieval!!! When my DH asked me before what I was doing on the computer and I told him he asked what my screen name was and when I told him Claud662, he told me I was BORING and that I should have thought of a funny name like "Mother Hen" since I have all these eggs!!! haha....xoxo

Good afternoon, and Happy Thanksgiving to all of you over the pond!
So it's only 24 hours since I joined and already three pages of posts to catch up on. I see I've joined a big and busy group, please bear with me while I try and get to know you all a little!

amysbabies - Congratulations on your BFP and good luck with your second beta. I've seen lots of stories on this site about women with low first betas who turn out to have had slightly late implanters, so sending you lots of doubling/tripling dust for tomorrow!

Jenice - Congratulations, another BFP! When is your second beta?

Teachermom - What an amazing beta number! Are you thinking definitely multiples? When is your first scan?

Franny - I've been lurking on this thread for a couple of weeks just waiting to come back from holiday to join, so I know what upbeat messages you usually post. I'm so sorry about your cycle being cancelled and was sad to read the post saying you feel guilty. This process is such a tough one to go through, it's inevitable that it gets us down now and again. But you mustn't think that you have anything to feel guilty about - the whys and wherefores of how we all ended up doing IVF are totally outside of our control and IVF is totally a team effort for us and our DH's. And if what your family inadvertently say about you having children makes you feel bad, have you wondered about telling them a bit about your situation? We ended up telling our close families that we have been TTC for a while but having some difficulties (but without telling them the ins and outs of where we are with treatment etc) and that has helped make sure they don't say anything which is insensitive or upsetting without them even knowing it. P.S. That baby play date you and Katie99 are going to have, can we all come??

Katie99 - thank you so much for adding me to the group list, it makes it feel even more real now! And OF COURSE I remember you from the June/July thread - I seem to recall that we were due to be cycling at exactly the same time then as well, until you got cancelled (and then of course I got cancelled too when both my frosties failed to thaw on the day of transfer). So maybe it was written in the stars that we would meet up again on this thread and cycle together!! Here's to big Christmas/New Year BFP's for us, haha! So when exactly do you expect to start your stims, and what dosage are you going to be on? I'm going to be on 225ml of Gonal-F daily, I'm waiting to hear my start date but it's likely to be a week today (so Thurs 3rd).

Syanna - Ever since I started lurking and reading this thread a few weeks ago, I've loved reading your posts, you always make me smile. Way to respond to your DH, he'd better just watch out when you start stimming! He really won't want to mess then!

justwannabamom - Good luck with your stimming! I didn't have a high AFC either for my fresh cycle in April/May but the way I tried to look at it, I'd rather have great quality over high quantity. Glass is always half full, huh? Well I try to be that way anyway - it doesn't always work! And my clinic doesn't do the first scan until either day 6 or day 7 (it's usually day 7) so don't worry that yours is totally unusual.

albany07 - sounds like you're having a busy but fun day. Enjoy, and sleep well tonight. All those toilet trips overnight sound exhausting!

Claud662/Mother Hen! - good luck for your u/s tomorrow. 14 follies! I felt bloated just with 6 so I'm not surprised at how you're feeling, I bet you're ready to get those eggs hatched now!!

Take care everyone,
Hazel

claude662: my RE told me before that 8mm lining was not the most important. At that time when my lining was only 7.6mm, he told me it's fine because what 8mm meant is any numbers that round up and become 8mm is also fine. if you've 7.5mm and round up, it becomes 8mm. I hope your RE let you move on.

Jenice: Congrats to your BFP!

honeybunny: Sorry for the BFN! Finger crossing for the next cycle to be BFP!

afm, RE told me that there's no embies made to freeze. My DH and I are a little disappointed. We can just hope for the best.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO EVERYONE!

Hi everyone -

Ok, so far I have burned my hand (not bad just an ugly mark) turkey in the oven ALL day has made the kitchen like a furnace, and the dogs keep trying to trip me! I'd like to be done with this holiday already!

Franny -I'm so glad that you're feeling like yourself again! please never feel funny about needing to vent, or cry, whine, or laugh here! Thats why we're here. Infertility is very isolating, depressing and downright wrong! I'm so grateful that we have this place & each other!
I'm all about that play date & anyone else who would like to come too!
I'm happy you feel better, but I'm still mad at your RE! Like, hello - its YOUR job to come up with a better protocol. And as much as i want that BFP I would never leave you in the dust! i promise. It WILL happen for us!
Now go have fun with DH this weekrnd of trying - heh heh- xoxo

Amy - I'm pulling for your beta tomorrow! Sorry that I had you confused with a FET, sometimes I have head up behind syndrome

cheeky -Yes things sure do feel like there are moving slowly! I'm just waiting for tues to go to baseline - since that your beta day- i hope its a lucky day! - xoxo

justwannabeamom -Me too! But an LPN. the plan was to do the bridge program to RN while I was pregnant but here we are a year later & still waiting... I'm the same way with a lack of info. I have finally got my clinic to give up my labs (for a while there is was like asking them for a national secret or something!) now they pass it on - I need to have the whole picture to feel in control a little. The not knowing was way more stressful to me! Now I'm upset with your DH - thats not fair to you. For me the idea of a quiet house with no children to make mess & noise is unbearable! maybe he's just afraid of the heartbreak of another bad cycle? I hope thats what that was about. Your E2 next b/w should be over 100. The rule of thumb is 100- 200 points of E2 for each mature follie -BUT that only stands for a lupron protocol - for antagonist that measure is useless because ganirelix falsely lowers it! I try to relax once I know its going up. I know that they like it over 1000 at trigger. you just started you have plenty of time. Relax you'll do fine!

Claud -Hooray for good lining! :D You're getting close now!
Mother Hen - he he

Hazel -I'm so glad you're here! I think you're right, i think we were supposed to be close on schedule in june also. Well this time we are exactly on the same schedule! I go for baseline 12/1 start stims 12/3
I'm on a hIgh dose as usual (I'm DOR & a poor responder) so this time its
600iu bravelle for 5 days then 450iu bravelle 150iu menopur & 225mcg ganiirelix - fun, yes? I hope this will work this time! For all of us!

OK now back to the kitchen ( who invented this holiday?) its a mans day they watch football & stuff their face while we spent 2 days in the kitchen?

Hjw - Hazel, welcome! Im in the uk too. Seems strange they don’t do baseline check, for example I had a cyst on baseline and we had to wait an extra week to get started.

Teachermom – Nanine, wohoo! Multiples for sure. So happy for you! You give me hope for this cycle!

claud662 – im so sorry that you have to wait each time you go in for your appointments. Commuting to my scans was killing me too… 1 hr from home and if I was going back to the office then 1.5hr back… but never had to wait at the clinic, all the appointments were always on time…

jenice – congrats on confirmation that the HPT’s were telling the truth!

amysbabies – congrats on confirmation that the HPT’s were NOT telling the truth! :-)

Albany – I wake up a lot too to go but that started since stims… so I cant attribute any of this to preg symptoms… I think all the things I would like to say are from pregnancy were there before because of the drugs: bloating, sore (.)(.)

Ashley – please report back on your ER

Claudia aka mother hen – I was telling my DH while stimming that im a chicken laying eggs, and he is like “silly you, you are a hen not a chicken” (fyi im not a native speaker)

Turtle – Franny. I hope you are having lots of fun with your DH this weekend! :-) Stop feeling guilty, stop! Look at us, I was the one worried about my body clock and my DH wanted to wait just another year or another summer… and… now… the issue is with him! I don’t think he is at fault or anything like that.. I think as long as we/you are working together on all this ivf stuff it doesn’t really matter why we/ you started … really!

Me2009 – did you POAS yet? I love coffee but cut it completely for now… I think occasional cup of real coffee is probably okay later on but now just don’t want to mess with anything… I did have some choco today though …

Happier – so so sorry

AFM – im trying not to think about whats going on inside me… but cant help it... headache today… pain in ovaries etc etc. what are you all feeling in your 2ww? we will have our real thanksgiving dinner at friends on Saturday because we don’t get a day off here… tonight was a mini turkey dinner :-)

Everyone happy thanksgiving!

2010: I had the same ET day with you. I'm not feeling much but only a little cramping once in a while. Someone told me to drink lots of water. Every time I drink a lot of water, the cramping goes away. Hope you feel better soon!

HI 2010 & Dodo928

im 8 days into the 2ww. ive had mild craping pretty much the whole time since the ET! I also had tons of cramping after the egg ret as well. My bladder has hurt too..

but yeah, im 8dpt3dt (i think i did that right) i've been taking HPT's since about day 5. Today is the first day i got a faint pink line. I used the early responce ones. Getting such an early HPT, im starting to wonder if i have more than one that took??!!??!!

So ive had cramps pretty much this whole 2ww ! Its not bad, but enought that im aware that they are there. Ive called my RE a few times this week. They kept telling me its normal!

Ive also had some constipitaion, so that i think is r/t the PIO! Yeiks!

My RE also said to increase my water intake when i get crampy!!

Ok off to my friends house for dinner!!

Hello ladies - long time no post. Happy thanksgiving to all you US girls - as you know, we don't celebrate thanksgiving here, but I wish we did - could do with a day off and chance to relax.

Am back at work this week which is why I haven't really had much of a chance to do personals sorry. However, to everyone with BFPs a huge huge congrats - that's fantastic - you give us all hope. To all BFN's, I'm so sorry, it just sucks and I am thinking of you all - have been reading everyone's posts every night after work and Franny, I completely agree with everyone's posts, you are so amazing at keeping up with us all and lifting us - it's only natural that are bound to be down after your set back - I haven't been cancelled before and don't have a BFN yet, but I've been in those very dark horrible places and I have found it hard to lift myself out - I think it's amazing you're picking yourself up again - there's always hope!

Have convinced myself this week that I'm not pregnant. I'm now 10dp5dt and my clininc has told me not to do a HPT until saturday 28th when I'll be 12dp5dt - which I think is a lot later than you all seem to be testing? I think it's because they don't do a beta, I just have to do the test myself and if it's positive, I have to call them and then they book me in for a scan in 3 weeks time! I just think this is rubbish. I would rather have a beta and know for sure.

I was fine during the 1st week of the 2WW but this week, I have had every kind of pain and twinge possible and now I'm in glass half empty frame of mind. My BB hurt the week of ER which I think must have been the HCG trigger, now they don't hurt at all - so I have convinced myself that there must be no HCG to detect. I am really bloated all the time, which I am putting down to the progesterone but also getting pains and cramps all over the place, stomach, ovaries, low back ache, period type pains - the lot - it's doing my nut in!!!

Anyway, we are going to a wedding and ball on Saturday so now we have decided not to take the HPT on Sat incase it ruins the day! Think I will do it Sunday. I just have no desire to POAS at all - have seen that negative result so many times I am just dreading seeing it again

Does anyone think I should POAS now that I am 10dp5dt?!!!

Thinking of you all x
