2010, me2009: I forgot to say that I also have constipation. It's from the progesterone supplement. I only have the symptoms when I take it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

hi everyone
katie i spent the last 2 days cooking. and i'm not even hungry either. i just forced myself to eat, and now i feel more bloated then i did on stims haha yikes. luckily we are not football fans here so DH actually does most of the cooking...i like to bake and hang out on my message boards haha

ashley i'm thinking about you today. i hope they get a ton of follies. hope you are home resting and having dinner in bed! grow embies grow!!

olim thanks for your sweet words. thats crazy about the no beta..i would drive myself crazy second guessing everything. i say wait until tomorrow and then POAS. good luck....i have everything crossed for you!!! pma pma pma!! :)

me2009 woooohooo for a slight line!! its going to get darker i KNOW!! i'm gonna call it right now....your PREGNANT!! that second line must look amazing no matter how light it is!! sooo happy for you my dear! :D

ok so i took my trigger, and ive never taken one before so i'm not sure how to feel, but i feel wicked bloated (even before the turkey) and i'm constipated and my overies feel really big....i hope i didnt mess myself up by triggering without the ER. oh also i took an ovulation test yesterday thinking i would see the LH surge from the trigger show up, but i didnt see anything....of course they are really old strips...like from may, and they say they are only good for 30 days after opening. i just thought it was odd that it didnt show a surge after the trigger....oh well....

i'm heading out to go see the fantastic mr. fox tonight so it wont be mobbed with kiddies.
have a good night :D

Hi everyone - I'm sitting at my parent's house after a big Thanksgiving dinner. As I have heard many of you say, I just couldn't avoid eating a big meal after having eaten hardly anything for the last 24 hours.

Just a quick update and hopefully I will have more time this weekend for personals - there's so much going on here!!!!

I had my ER this morning and - are you ready for this? They got 24 eggs!!! If I hadn't been so groggy from waking up after the procedure I think I would have fallen off the recovery bed. Before the procedure the doctor cautioned me that some will not be fully mature, but starting with a higher number has to be a good thing, right? The crazy part is that on Tuesday at my ultrasound they were still only counting 10-12 "big ones" so I guess a bunch more caught up. They were guessing they would get a maximum of 15.

So now we wait for the fert report tomorrow. I'm assuming there is a good chance that many of the 24 will not have matured enough to be fertilized. Is that right? Also, because we are doing PGD, they are doing ICSI with all of the eggs so I know that may decrease the number that actually get fertilized.

But all in all I was very happy for the results. They prescribed me some kind of medication to take for a few days to minimize the possibility of OHSS since I had so many eggs. And I have to take a daily shot of Ganirelex for 6 days - does anyone know what that is for? The nurse told me but I can't remember.

Anyways, I better get back to the fam. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and congrats to all the BFPs!!!!!!!

Ashley congrats on those eggs that is awesome! The way I see it the more eggs the better chance of BFP even if u have to do frozen later it is so much cheaper than doing another whole fresh cycle but who cares about that cause you are gonna get a BFP on the fisrt time with those eggs!

syanna- DH better make it up to you after that comment. Its hard enough without that pressure. Make sure he knows it and knows how much you are going through for the two of you and your future!

teachmom- holy moly! twins for sure!! how are you adjusting?

justwanna- i went in at 4 days, but they didn't really tell me much. i go in tomorrow for the 7 day...but I don't think its unusual to wait until 6.

franny- venting is half of what we are all here for, so don't feel bad. its really nice that through all of this DH had been able to support you and make you feel better. sometimes these things are tough on relationships and not just tough on those in them.

ashley- that's so amazing! plus, i think ICSI is supposed to help fertilization, so I can't wait to here the report!

afm- had gone in on weds (day 4) for u/s and b/w and they saw 9 developing, which to me didn't seem like a lot but when the nurse called she said it is perfect. they only count the follies of a certain size so she said don't worry, more will come along. my e2 was 200, which she said was good for this stage. how much is it supposed to go up? they left my on 5 of lupron and 150 gonal f, so it seems like i am coming along right as they expected. i definitely feel strange sensations the ovary area, just hard to know what you are supposed to feel. i go in again tomorrow for another u/s so I guess I will know more then. still looking like a 12/2 or 12/3 ER. happy shopping to all of you!

me2009: light pink line is better than none. Congrats! can you tell me which hpt did you use?

Frannie: hope you don't let your guilt to get into your way for too long! There're thousands of reasons of getting BFN or delayed or cancelled! It's not your fault nor your responsibility! It's just something that is not under our control! Hugs!

they come in a pack of 4 from costco and you can usually get them in 3 packs at the average store.

Hi Ladies,

I hope that you all enjoyed your Thanksgiving feasts!! I was sooo uncomfortable last night because of my insane bloating and cramping that it was not as enjoyable as I had hoped, but I know it's worth it in the end!!

ashley-24?!?!!? wow!! I can't wait to hear your fertilization report!! ICSI definitely helps out so that's a good thing :P The put you on Ganorelix because your ovaries are enlarged from growing so many eggs and they want to prevent you from getting overstimulated! I was put on it last cycle when I didn't give my HCG shot and they wanted to reduce the size of my ovaries....just one more shot in the pincushion!!

me2009-YAHHH for faint lines-that is amazing!!! When is your beta?

sarah_ruth-9 follies at that day is great!! I started off with 8 then went to 12 and today I was over 20!!! I will hopefully even have some more the day of my ER which is Sunday!! The cramping is normal and it will get worse as you get close to your retrieval and I seriously look 4 months pregnant!! Hiding is much easier in the winter though which is nice!!

teachermom-did you go in yet for your second beta? I saw that Ghost agrees that it will probably be twins which is soooo exciting! maybe triplets?!?!

dodo-how is the prometrium inserts going? Have they thought about giving you the POI instead? Or what about taking the pills orally?

olim-Have you decided whether to POAS tomorrow? I would want to know asap so that would kill me!! I am also very inpatient

AFM....I went in this morning and my lining is still 7.5 and I had over 20 follies growing!! I knew something was happening last night with all my cramping and discomfort! The nurse is going to call in the next hour to let me know my time of trigger and my ER time!! I don't want to get too excited but of course I am!!! I am hoping to get one more acupuncture visit in before Sunday but of course it's difficult because it's Thanksgiving weekend!!! The nurse also informed me that they ONLY call the day after the ER to let you know the fertilization report and I told her that I wanted daily reports (ha ha) and I am hoping my RE will get those for me such I'm such a nervous Nelly and with my last cycle being canceled they may have more compassion!!

So I am taking it easy tonight and unfortunately I have a big work event tomorrow night where I take 75 teens and we donate food/clothing to the homeless. It's my favorite event but I'm on my feet for 4 hours and it's hectic!! Hopefully I won't be too uncomfortable and the adrenaline will keep me going knowing that in a few hours I get to the next step in this crazy roller coaster!!

xoxo

Justwannabeamom- I know how difficult and stressful all of this can be, BUT you have to try to relax as much as you can. It’s such an important part of the IVF process. I know it’s easier said than done, but you must try.

Katie, skylar and justwannabeamom- I hate the sound of “the last try club” Let’s call it the “it’s gonna work this time club” I’m praying for you all.

Franny- I’m so happy that you have a DH that can shake you out of your funk. I was so worried about you. Please don’t be embarrassed about your post. That’s exactly what we’re here for. To listen and offer hope when you feel it is all gone. We love you!! Also, as for trigger, it takes about 36 hours to show up so don’t worry if you didn’t see the LH surge yet. Relax and enjoy your weekend with hubby.

Claud aka mother hen (I LOVE it!!)- I am so excited to hear your lining and follie numbers!! I can’t wait to hear your ER numbers too! And yes, could be triplets, but can’t even wrap my head around twins just yet! I’m so excited – I can’t wait to find out! That’s so nice that you do that for the homeless. Also, my RE only gives a report the day after as well. They say it’s best not to disturb the little growing embies too much. So, as much as we’d like to know, sometimes it’s best to just let them do their thing.

Hjw- welcome welcome welcome. This is such a great supportive group to be with. They are the BEST!

Dodo- I too had no embies to freeze, but I held on to the hope for the 3 that I had in me and it worked. Focus on those babies growing inside you now.

Me2009- WOO HOO!! Positive HPT!! Darkening dust to you my friend!

Olim- I’m so sorry to hear that they don’t do betas there. And then to wait 3 weeks for a scan?? That would drive me crazy. I would wait to do the HPT, but if you do and it’s negative don’t give up. Try again when the Dr told you to. And please please please keep up the PMA! It’s so important.

Ashley- OMG!! 24 eggs?? WOW!! Can’t wait to hear the fertilization report.

Sarahruth- I don’t think it’s really hit me yet that it can (and probably will be) twins!

I'm sorry I didn't get to everyone, but please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. Thank you all for your well wishes.

AFM... are you ready?? Beta #2 was 1870!!!   I go in on Tuesday for my u/s to find out exactly how many little babies are in there. I don't think I'm gonna sleep till then!! :D :D

oh my goodness!! so that beta is pretty high? do you think its twins or triplets?? holly cow how exciting!

yeah the line is getting darker today. im only 9dpt3dt and i got a pos on day 7 so im wondering if i got more than one too.. we did put 3 back !! so who knows!!

can't wait to hear about how many you have...im saying 3 (hahah i know you're gonna kill me for saying that...lol )
