cheeky and albany congrats on your BFP. That is awesome!

Lulu and Dodo, sorry for your BFN. Try to keep up the PMA.

Katies, sorry you're having so much trouble at your clinic

nanine, wow triplets, maybe you can share with some of us

AFM, I POAS this morning and it was a BFN. My beta is not until Fri, but I feel this is the actual result. I haven't cried, when I feel like it, I just look at my sweet DS's face and know that it will be okay. I'm not sure if we'll try again. My DH and I had decided before we started this cycle that we would try just one time and that would be it. I don't know, maybe if RE has some way to change protocol we might, but he was almost leaning toward donor eggs before we started this cycle because of my low follicle count. Plus the embryologist stated that I didn't have very good eggs to work with this time. Anybody know if there is anything that can be done to improve quality of eggs? Anyway....

I wish you all the best of luck!

kerribel-It's still early!!! Dont' lose the PMA and hold out hope. There are so many stories of women getting a negative HPT the morning of their beta and then getting a positive beta!!! I have heard that acupuncture helps the quality of the eggs.

cheeky-CONGRATS!!! Very exciting for you and your DH and what a high number...maybe another multiple?!?!

dodo-sorry you got the call from your clinic about the negative beta, but hopefully they will look at your cycle and change your protocol for next cycle. Go eat some lobster and have a glass of wine

Katie-I HATE your clinic....what morons!!! Have you had any update?!?! I would be calling them every hour until I had answers. I just hope the best for you and want you to get the possible treatment.

AFM...GOOD NEWS! I went into the RE this morning and although I'm slightly overstimulated and bloated, I was given the go-ahead with my ET this afternoon and they said I was normal since I was such a high responder to the meds!!! I have no idea how many eggs there still are or what the grades are, but my DH told me this AM that we wants to put as many back in as they will allow....oh geez!!! I told him then he gets to pay for my tummy tuck/boob job if I have more than twins!!! he agreed :P :P :P

I will write later after the ET and let you know what happened!

Thanks Dodo and Kerribell!

Dodo - Sorry to hear about your result. You have a pretty good attitude, keep it up and good things will come to you!

Kerribell, not sure if you read my earlier post on Dr. Zhang and Dodo's post on Dr. Acacio. I know you are not over 40, but if these guys know how to get a 49 year old pregnant to live birth with her own eggs... Just a thought. BTW (re egg quality), I believe in the healing powers of Rooibus tea, low carb diet, DHA supplements, Maca and Royal Jelly and being in YOUR sweet weight spot.! As everyone probably knows, weight and hormones have a very close relationship. But on another note, with more researched findings:DHEA. Most of the research and success has been with women in >35 and 40's.

Hope this helps.

AFM - I feel much better on my beta, after I checked the beta boards. There are even multiples that come from beta's that low. The facts say that beginning betas are not a factor of pregnancy of singletons or multiples for that matter. There are women with singleton pregnancy with beginning beta's in the upper hundreds and women with multiples, beta's in the double digits. I love google.

Congrats Cheeky! I wish they would wait until 16dp3dt with our beta's in the United States! I swear, they just want to make more money off of us here! I would definitely feel more reassured at 16dp3dt versus my day 11dp3dt beta test.

Well I had my u/s labs won't b done till later but I only have 9 follicles one is 17 the rest are between 10 and 14 so I have to start another injection called gangrelex sp?? To keep me from ovulating too soon I guess. Next ultrasound is saturday. I must have something wrong with me too to b young and get a low number of follicles. It is worse this time than last time and I think me new RE is much better at this so I don't know what to think! He said my lining is 10 so that is good I guess! Well good luck to everyone!

Thank God! :D RE just called me and got me squared away. He said that new nurse isnt familar with how sonographer does her charting (guess i'm the only pt who asks such detailed questions) ALL IS FINE! There are follies on both sides!! Yippeee! and that FSH loses its value if not taken on
CD 3-5 (mine was taken on CD15) he's trying me this time with no suppession beforehand so I freaked yesterday (plus I'm a nurse also, so I should have known better than to ask detailed questions to a nurse brand new to IVF) He also told me that of all the pts he saw yesterday I wasnt one of them thats on his "oh, no - I'm disappointed list"
Thank you all you guys for letting me freak yesterday. I dont know what I'd do without
you guys! :D xoxo

Sorry to be backed up with personals - was just full of drama yesterday

Olim -has is sunk in yet MUM? :D Hope you're hanging in there for your u/s wait!

Cheeky -I am over the top for you! HAPPY DANCE!!!!! :D

BRMommy2b -I should have been able to figure that out, it was an easy one! I miss the south, my ex DH was military so I lived down south (GA then AL) for almost 11 years, now stuck up north because of Dh's job.
Oooohhhh so you're from Trace Adkins home state! Lucky girl!

Amy -Glad to hear that your follow up appt is quick. After my 1st bfn it was a 7 week wait for the WTF appt

Hazel -How goes the needles? I'll be joining you tomorrow!

Albany -CONGRATULATIONS MOM!!! :D Thanks for that info too!
I wrote it down just in case

Claudia -thanks, hon! Wishing you so muck luck & very sticky thoughts for your ET today! rest up & let them snuggle in tight!

SarahRuth -You just relax & enjoy a no injection day!

Franny -Miss you! enjoy a lovely visit with your family!

Skylar -Crossed for your ER today! hope you got lots of healthy follies!

EOL -thanks! i'll start doing the AF dance for you! hope your cycle goes smooth!

Kelly -thanks! 9 is a great number! Its quality over quantity! Ganirelix is the Antagonist version of lupron, its actually been used longer than lupron has. An antagonist protocol can produce a few less follies, but is known to produce better quality. I've got everything crossed for you!

Kerribell -Dont give up yet! those evil sticks arent a definitive answer. Hang on til your beta!

hugs & loads of PMA to all of us! - xoxo

claud- congrats on your ET, can't wait to hear the update!

katie- i am so sorry your new nurse was confused. do they realize what fits of anxiety they send us into? congrats on getting the go ahead.

cheekyone- CONGRATS!!! such amazing news! i am thrilled for you.

kerri- don't lose hope yet, try to hang in for the beta results.

afm- triggering tonight...i wonder how i will feel tomorrow? today i am much less uncomfortable than yesterday (hope the follies are still in there growing) but i am slightly sick to my stomach. maybe i am just nervous for er on friday.
thinking of you all!

Hi All,

Been MIA for a while, no news to report. But I've been reading every couple of days to stay caught up. I'm at work currently so I have to keep it kinda short.

Olim, Cheeky, Albany -- Congrats on your BFP's! I'm so happy for you guys. Every BFP that comes gives me a little more hope.

Jenice-- I'm so so sorry to read your update. (hugs) Will you do another FET?

Dodo and lulu -- I'm so sorry for your BFN's. I know that hurt. It's sucks bigtime.

AFM-- That said. I'm doing my best to stay optimistic being that I'm going to attempt a single FET. I'm on Lupron currently, a double dose since I'm tough to suppress. Going on Friday for my baseline and if all is well, will start Estrace to build my lining. RE gave me a prescription for a vial of HCG but it's backordered at the pharmacy... WON-DER-FUL. On a positive note, I'm headed to Vegas on Sunday for a week. Can't wait.

Wow. What a difference a few days makes.

I had my u/s this morning by the doctor and was ready to have her tell me that they want to cxl. Instead, she found more follies and wants to trigger me tonight and ER on Friday morning. The previous u/s only showed 7 folllies and today she said there are at least 11. I think the doc knows how to find them much better than the normal techs do. I will have ET on Wednesday. My e2 has also come up from 661 on Monday to 1396 today.

Guess I shouldnt have been such a negative nelly. Keep your fingers crossed!!!
