SarahRuth - I felt the same way this last time I did my trigger because I didn't feel anything. My nurse friend couldn't give it to me because she was at work so DH had to for the very first time and I was a nervous wreck!! I was thinking just like you because the trigger shot was stressful to do by ourselves. Everything worked out for me and I'm positive you will too! I didn't feel any kind of slight pain in my ovaries till the morning of my ER and even then it was minimal. GL !!!! :D

sarah-ruth-you are probably already in ER but if you happen to read this beforehand, what you are experiencing is totally normal!! After the HCG trigger shot the follies movie from the ovaries to fluid so they can be retrieved which is why you aren't feeling as bloated/crampy. Relax and fingers crossed for many follies retrieved!!!

thanks guys! here's what i mean when i say it was a disaster. basically, my clinic doesn't do the long needle for the injection. there was supposed to be a long needle and a short needle in my kit, but there were only thre short needles. so we asked and the dr. on call just said that we could mix with the short needle. so we did. but then i was trying to get every last drop out of the vial, so i kept putting the needle into the vial to try to get it out. that must have made the needle really dull because when i tried to inject it literally wouldn't go in. i was pushing really hard. so finally i had to just take the needle off the syringe and put a new one on. that one went in fine, but i was freaking out in the meantime. i mean i was pushing tha first needle sooo sooo hard into me and DH kept saying, it will go in you must not be pushing hard enough. it was just really stressful. i am sore at the injection site so i know it went in.
the reason i am so so worried is that i had 30 follicles the other day, and i could feel it. like i couldn't really sit down very well etc. but now, nothing. nothing at all. that just worries me...i mean aren't they supposed to be really super big now. and i am upset, where could they have gone. thank you for all of your help, maybe you are right. i am just worried since my symptoms changed!

thank you so much guys! now i feel kinda silly for freaking out like this. ER is tomorrow morning, i guess there is nothing i can do anyway, just see how many they get.
your posts really helped me! maybe when i get through this i will be able to reassure others, like you guys havedone for me. this is just so stressful. you are all so much stronger than me.

Hi girls -

Wow I feel so much better today! A certain "angel" on this thread really got me thinking last night about is this the right RE to have the last try with. I mean I trust my RE (its his under staffing that I dont like) but he is kind of set in his ways regarding protocols. So I had a long talk with my DH about it and he said that if its bfn this time he would always wonder if we had gone to one of those "top clinics" would we have succeeded? The sad fact is some RE's are just better with older patients, poor responders & DOR (diminished ovarian reserve) My DH said he couldnt live with that always in the back of his mind and reminded me that technically the tax return should go to pay down this IVF loan with their obsene interest rate! but if need be he would use it to swing 1 try with one of the clinics known to have success with difficult cases!!!!! I love this man so much! It kills me sometimes to see how much he wants to be a dad
And its so far been the one thing I cant do for him. I SOOOOO want this time to work!!! But I have to say it took so much pressure off to hear my DH say - that I dont have to panic about the outcome. It was worth waiting so long for DH to come into my life! Ok off to do the 1st stim shot!

Katie-that must be such a relief that your DH is so understanding and willing to move forward if this does not work....but let's not think that way!! You ARE going to have a bfp this cycle!! YAH for stimming!!!! Your officially on your way :P

sarah_ruth-I freak out over EVERYTHING!! Don't think you are the only one...but I do know from my experience with NOT taking the HCG trigger the first cycle (long story) you are totally fine and your eggs are getting ready to be retrieved! I hope that the 30 you saw will grow and you will have a high number. Also because you have a lot, don't worry if you are bloated for the next couple of days after ER lke I am!! I seriously look 4 months preggers!!!

albany-Happy Anniversary!! Heating pads have made the biggest difference with the POI shots!! Thank G-d! Are you allowed to take Tums for your acid reflex?

Lorri-cool pics!! We got ours yesterday at the ET of the 2 embies! It was so exciting...I still can't believe they are in me!!!! I have officially stalked the day by day that Katie always posts so I know what is happening

me2009-did you get your second beta today? BIG NUMBERS BIG NUMBERS!!!
Thanks for the jeans info!! I may be needing those soon (hopefully)

eol-AF yet?!?!

tc4474-GL on your ER!!! Can't wait to hear how it went

AFM....I feel a lot less bloated than the past 2 days and now I'm just dreading the 2ww!! I have an acupuncture apt Monday the day the egg is supposed to implant!!!! Trying not to think about the fact that my beta test is the first weekend of Chanukah and how I would love to give DH the best present ever!!!

sarah_ruth - I can't really help I'm afraid as I only got 6 eggs in my first cycle and didn't feel much cramping at all anyway, but it sounds from what the guys have said as if it's totally normal for things to feel a little calmer once you've stopped stimming and triggered, so I hope you are also feeling calmer now! So sorry to hear about the difficult time you had with the needle with your trigger shot. GL for ER tomorrow!

tc4474 - GL to you too! I'll be thinking of you.

Oh Katie99, your post about your lovely DH made me cry! This is such a horrible process we go through and it's so touching to read how strong you and DH are together. I just know however that you won't need to go to another clinic because you and I are going to get our Christmas BFP's! PMA, PMA, PMA... And in the meantime, for the rest of this cycle, just make sure you don't put up with any crap from "rubbish nurse"! Yay for stimming (finally!). When is your first scan?

Hi Ladies,

Katie99 - what a DH you have. A partnership like that is something to be thankful for- no matter how hard our times are- or unsure.

Claud662: the accupuncture timing is perfect- try meditation too! so exciting.

Sarah Ruth and TC: good luck ladies with the ER-- thinking of you!

AFM: No freaking AF yet. If I get it tomorrow, that puts CD3 on Sunday- and the RE can't be bothered. So, wondering what they'll say... b.c. I know I'll get it tomorrow. Deep breaths, not in charge!!!!

Katie99 I am so happy you have a supportive dh, with all the hard things we have to go through, it's really nice to know someone is there for you. Give him hugs for me, because he wonderful to you.
teachermom I am sorry if I sounded sad when I mention this is my last try, I really mean to say it's my last try with me trying to have a baby, we already looked into adoption and if this doesn't work (which we really hope it will). We will try another avenue to have a baby.
Supergenius When do you have your next beta. Good job with your first beta.
Claud662 I am glad you are feeling better, I still have the cramping. My RE had trouble with my last embie, he was pushing and pushing then he finally got the needle in. So I am sore.
me2009 Nice beta!!!! Thanks for giving me hope.
lorries Nice pictures, isn't it amazing that's your and your dh together.
Albany07 I was smiling really hard when I read your post, I mean how awesome was that gift.
Sarah Ruth I am nervous with every step in this whole IVF process, not to sound nasty, but me and dh made love the day after hcg trigger (we were not suppose to). The next day I didn't feel as bloated as before. I thought oh my gosh, I killed my embies, but I ended up okay.
Tjw How are you doing? Grow follies, grow.

AFM: My dh nurse called out of 7, 6 grew. So my ET is Saturday. My nurse will call tomorrow on the updates on the 6. Come on big money, now whammies.
