Hey Ladies. i am back from a fantastic vacation on the islands. Sucks to be back in this cold weather. The long flight was tiring but both me and my little girl made it. She is kicking and moving around a lot now. What a feeling it is.

Glad that everyone is doing so great. I go in for my big anatomy scan on thursday. Unfortunately my DH will not be in town. Hope everything goes well. Once i know that things are good - i will begin with the nursery and all. Can't wait for all of this. I have gained about 10lbs so far. Ah well. As long as my baby is healthy. My breast size has gone up from 34b to 36c but can;t complain.

Hugs to everyone.

Jules, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm praying for peace and comfort to you. How sweet you are to bethinking of us at such a difficult time for you.

Angie, you asking what a Quad screen is. It's a blood test that checks for down's, trisomy 18, heart defects, and spina bifida. We had the testing done just so we would know weather or not to expect anything since we didn't do the nuchal testing.
That's funny about your little boy- when we did our anatomy scan the girl said "If we were just checking to see the sex we'd know! Now show us something else PLEASE" haha. They are NOT shy!

Dogz, congrats on your girl!!!!! How exciting. My little girl was begging for a girl. I wasn't partial one way of the other. I had expected one of each, but as time goes on and we shop, etc. I get more excited that they are both boys. But those little baby girl clothes are just TOO CUTE~

Cressicaw: so glad you are feeling the baby move! It's the coolest thing isn't it?!?! Also, I watched something with Pam Anderson awhile back and she was talking about breastfeeding. She breastfed both of her boys with no problems at all! If she can with those giant things that she has had put in, taken out, put in, taken out, put in, etc. you can surely do it :D

I have had major boob issues. With my first I went from a 34B-34DD and never lost an ounce of these things after she quite nursing. Well, I'm spilling out all over the place, but can't find a bra that fits!!! I havn't found anywhere locally that sells 35DDD (or 34 E ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!?!) which is what the girl that fitted me feels like I need. I moved up to a 36DD just because they cover me, but the stretch out so fast I can only wear them for a week or two before they are way too big around.

Things are going well. I will continue with weekly checks for 2 more weeks and then move to every 2 weeks since even if the cervix dilates they can't stitch at this point. I go on at home monitoring this week which is good since I've been having a lot of contractions.
I think we finalized the names and the nursery has been through the demolistion and is back on it's way to being baby ready :)

Hi Ladies!

So sorry I've been MIA. Work, holidays, school functions for my daughter. The busy days never end!

Cressicaw: I'm sorry you have been feeling down. I've had a few days where I've gone off on my husband. I'm sure he deserves it, but probably not to the extent that I dish it out! I hope you are feeling better by now.

lw918: Congratulations on your great anatomy scan.

Angie: Congratulations on your great anatomy scan. I will surely vote in your baby name poll. How fun!

Dogzrule: Congratulations on your little girl!

Jules: My heart goes out to you. I am so sincerely sorry for your loss.

As for me, things are going great. I am 18w4d and have been feeling fetal movement for about 4 weeks. It has become stronger and more frequent over the past week or so. We have our anatomy scan this Friday, and I am on pins and needles dying to know if this baby is a boy or girl! All of our genetic testing came back great, so I am hoping the scan will further confirm that we have a healthy baby in there. Once we find out, I will start sifting through my daughter's sea of toys and deciding what we will keep or not. Her playroom will become the nursery, so we've got to clean house!

Who here is on Facebook. I'd like to add you guys as friends if you don't mind.

Hi gals! I'm 20 weeks today...woohoo! I can't believe I'm halfway there. Our anatomical scan showed our little girl to be on target. I haven't felt a thing yet and am discouraged. It seems like everyone has felt their baby way before 20 weeks. The doc says it's normal to feel the baby move between 18-22 weeks but still nothing! What does it feel like the first time?

Tortillachip: Don't be discouraged. From what I understand, many things can determine when you will feel the baby first move. Different body types, the position of the uterus, etc. I felt both of my pregnancies pretty early on, but I am a very petite, thin person. It first feels like a little flutter most likely at the very bottom of your abdomen if the baby is positioned feet down. It may also feel like a light jab. You will feel it soon, and as the baby grows, you'll feel it often and hard lol! Great news on the anatomical scan. Hang in there!

Has anyone noticed a ball moving around their tummy, like a small mass the size of a bell pepper. At first I noticed it right above my pubic bone after I woke up from sleeping on my back but if I lightly press on it it will go away.... later it appeared below my belly off to one side... I had my husband feel it and it went away again... it does move like the fetal movement thought (like a twitch, flutter or bubble) it moves away but in one large mass. Weird huh???

Is it the placenta I am feeling or the baby?

Turns out I have a bladder infection and am on antibiotics, I read that it is common during pregnancy and as long as caught early it is safe.

Turns out I have a placenta previa - which means the placenta is at the bottom of my uterus - it would come out before the baby - However, it can move throughout pregnancy but for now no sex and no heavy lifting.

Please say a prayer it moves, I really want to be able to deliver vaginally! Besides if it ruptures, there is a lot of bleeding.

Aside from that baby is great. Always waves to momma in the sonogram pictures.... she is still a girl at 19 weeks :-)

I have been so nervous after reading that post about the miscarriage, I went over to the miscarriage site and did see a lot of women that lost babies through week 18-23... I always thought if you made it to the 2nd trimester you were smooth sailing. I just can't imagine going through that... I did notice other illnesses like Lupos, history of miscarriages and multiple babies 2+ but not I am counting the days to reach 3rd trimester.

What is the time you can deliver and the baby will survive out of the womb?

Sorry for this, it's just since that post I have been obsessing.

Cressicaw: I am so sorry to hear about the new development. I will send u lots of positive vibes and prayers that it moves soon enough. Hang in there and take it easy. Alot of women have gone ahead to deliver healthy babies with this. According to an article i read it said "Now we expect to lose very few babies born after 30 weeks and weighing only two pounds at birth, and the outlook for babies born at 28 and even 25 weeks is quite good," Some hospitals are able to save babies weighing less than a pound and born as early as 22 weeks. So hang in there hon and keep thinking good thoughts.

Lots of hugs and prayers!

cressicaw - I had the exact same reaction when I saw her post and went into a mini-panic, so you are not alone in your response!

tortilla - I didn't feel movement until the 18th week, and my doctor said to not really expect to feel much until after 20 weeks, so don't worry! You WILL feel it, and I know that everything is perfectly fine with your little one. :D

Dogzrule: Thanks so much for the kind words of encouragement. Still haven't felt anything!!

Cressy: That's too bad about the placenta previa and the bladder infection. ICK! I thought you had a special cervix that the doc said you would need to have a caesarean...did I read that wrong? As for the worrying, just breathe and take it in stride...I hear now that we're going to be parents we'll be worrying all the time. lol

Skipper: Thanks! I was about 20 pounds overweight to begin with, so maybe my padding is padding my daughter as well. I'll let you know when I feel her. OH-did you find out the sex today? I'm on facebook and so is Cressy. Look under Tia ;-) What's your real name?

Tia - No you are right, the cervix was long like a banana but then they said I would be fine... now they say the placenta is in a location where it would come out before the baby... but I read that it can move... so there is still hope. I gained about 20lbs going through IVF and clomid before, so I have extra padding too :-)

As for baby movement, what I feel more than anyting is like a mass that moves around my belly and sometimes (maybe once a day) I will feel like a little flipper... it is soooo subtle.

Babies - thanks so much for the positive vibes... How are you?

Dogz - Any new news?

cressicaw - Nothing much new, except that it is definitely a girl (which I think you already know). My in-laws bought the entire bedroom set for us last weekend - the crib, chest of drawers, and the dresser/changer combo. It is a BEAUTIFUL set, and it should get delivered this week. We cannot wait to get her room together! Oh, yeah, and I have a yeast infection. I think I have had one for at least a month and was just trying to ignore it, but yesterday it became much more bothersome. So, Monistat 7 it is for now. *sigh*
