thanks olim, but from what i've read, if your beta doesn't at least double every 48 hours it's game over. so even if it went up a little, it's still not a good result. :(

beta #2 was at 11dp6dt (beta #1 was at 9dp6dt); i've had slight cramping, mild nausea, more frequent urination, and general fatigue. i've also been googling a bit to figure out what could be going on & it looks like there might be an ectopic pregnancy. i just hope i don't need surgery if that is the outcome.

thanks for your hopes and prayers & i am hoping you have better luck than i!

Hi girls. Sorry but last night I typed out a whole post to everyone and when I went to submit it my computer messed up and I lost everything!! OMG I was so mad. Hormones were not helping I'm sure. So I went off and went to bed.

Supergenius - :( I'm so sorry about your beta. God, why can't this be easier. I said a prayer for you. Hoping for a better outcome somehow on Monday.

Teachermom - I pm'd you.

Hi everyone else. I have to go to work, I'll try and catch up again later on.

*sigh* I still hope to join you soon! Hope the twins are doing great & not making their Momma too tired or queasy! much love - xoxo

hey girls -

I think I'm off to a good start. Its just day 3 of stims & I was feeling some twinges on both sides last night and this morning! Usually I dont feel anything til like day 5 or 6 so I'm thrilled. Maybe this no suppression cycle is going better already! Tomorrow starts the every other day monitoring, but tom is b/w only - which drives me nuts to think of spending 4 hrs r/t in the car for a 2 minute blood draw -ugh - at least all the rest of the appts are u/s too ( they make me feel like I'm getting somewhere!)
Sarcastic yay for attempting to finish x-mas shopping today (at the mall- on a saturday- and its snowing already) If i survive, I'll do the list when I get back. I gotta be honest though, its only fun when I get to put smileys

kelly -Crossed for your u/s today - hope they're are growing nice & even!

Me2009 -Yay for pg! No yay for PIO butt! - you make me laugh, a half naked girl with a meat thermometer!

Supergenius -I'm with your DH - i'll keep you in my prayers! I'm hoping that was only the blip of a vanishing twin - xoxo

Lorrie -AARRRGGHHH!!! I hate when the computer eats your posts!
Have you noticed how that only happens when you write a long one?
Now you're down to a 1ww! How are you holding up?

EOL- Darn that witch! where is she? So guys start doing the hurry up AF STOMP! Get out your big boots!

Skylar -Thats great news, hon! Every RE has different rules for after ET. What did yours say?

Cheeky, Franny, Nanine, Hazel -in my thoughts as always! - xoxo

jenice, 2010 and kerribell - I'm so sorry. My best wishes to all of you and your DH's for Christmas and New Year. I hope you are each able to get some 'me time' to regroup and work out what you want to do next.

Supergenius - oh honey, sorry. Your RE must have some hope though if he has asked you to continue your meds until Monday? I'll be thinking of you, I truly hope Monday brings some better news.

dodo - sounds like your body is giving you a really hard time, hope the shivering and drowsiness etc has stopped now. Has AF arrived yet?

lou71 - what did the clinic say when they called? Hoping you aren't cancelled.

syanna - still looking good, yay for triggering today! GL with ER on Monday, enjoy your drug free day tomorrow.

Albany07 - Wow, that's an incredible second beta, congratulations! Are you thinking multiples now? Roll on the 18th December for your first u/s!

sarah_ruth - that's a great ER result, well done! Can't wait to hear the fertilisation report.

justwannabamom - hope your u/w was good, so what's the verdict on how those follies are getting on and your likely ER?

me2009 - the weather is generally TERRIBLE in the UK during winter, but we've had sunshine yesterday and today and both days have been those beautiful crisp, sunny winter days that really blow the cobwebs away. I've been out to play golf today and it was gorgeous.

olim78 - so...we're both from the UK (snap!), both have DH's who did acupuncture and improved their sperm quality at ER time (snap!), we're both lawyers (snap!) (or at least I was until 18 months ago when I lost my job due to the credit crunch, so currently I'm a housewife who looks after the dogs and does IVF for fun in her spare time!). Now all I want to be able to say is 'both pregnant (snap!)'. But it's just a matter of time and I'll be joining you - PMA, PMA, PMA!! Did you ever think about getting a beta done or are you going to try and be patient for your u/s? Not long to go until the 17th though...

Lorrie - hey there! How are things?

Eol - AF is just behaving herself (for a change!) and staying away so that you don't have to worry about cycle day 3 being a Sunday, I'm sure she'll arrive soon, particularly with all the AF jigging I've been doing!

katie99 - hope your b/w goes smoothly tomorrow. I've just seen your post about feeling something on either side from the stimming - I've wondered too whether last night and this morning I felt slight twinges, but maybe that's wishful thinking (I've only done four injections so far and I didn't feel much at all last time for the whole of stims, just some bloating towards the end). Very funny about your behaviour under general anesthesia - I'm similar! All four of my wisdom teeth were getting impacted and curling around the nerves in my jaw and I had them taken out under a general years back - my boss had been crappy about me taking time off for the operation and apparently when I came round in the recovery room I was mouthing off about my boss using fairly unprintable swear words at the top of my voice, and again when they took me back to the ward. I didn't remember any of it afterwards and oh, how embarrassed I felt when I became more alert!!

Take care everyone,
Hazel

Katie and hjw thanks for the good wishes just got back from my u/s RE says everything looks great! Still only 9 follies right side has 3 all 21 and left side has 6 that measure 17 to 18 so stims 1 more day then trigger tomorrow night at 10pm retrieval will be tuesday morning. We do not know if we will do a 3 or 5 day transfer depends on how the embryos look as they grow. Beta will be 12/22! Wish me luck ladies! Thanks for keeping up with me! Good luck to you all. Can't wait for more BFP to be on the board!!!
I hope to be one of them!

Supergenius wrote:albany07 - congrats!!!! that's an awesome beta jump! i read your post about 15 minutes before i got my second beta result. it filled me with such hope.

unfortunately, for me it was not good news. my beta basically didn't move.
first beta was 50.2, second beta 50.6.

to say i am crushed does not begin to explain things. thanks to everyone for all their kind words - i got to be pregnant for a few days at least, which was more than i had been before IVF.

my doctor has me continuing the meds until Monday, when i'll get the 3rd beta...i personally don't see the point. but dh has hope yet, so i'll do it. gods, i love that man.

im so sorry for your yucky beta #'s . just keep an eye on your self and make sure you dont have an tubal or anthing like that..

keep your meds going!! listen to your RE! as hard as it might be!

many hugs to you and your DH

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I have been MIA but I have had a really SH**TY last two days. On Friday I was really uncomfortable with the bloating and was having shortness of breath so I went to the RE who gave me an u/s which showed a lot of fluid in my stomach and said I had OHSS (which I was afraid would happen) I am waiting on the bloodword today to see if it is extreme enough to get in IV for more fluids :x

So I took the rest of the day off and was laying down when my DH and I got a bad phone call at 5:30 that my Farther-in-Law had a heart attack and was rushed to the ER which is 5 minutes from our house. I was in the ER till almost Midnight last night and again all morning. I just came home to walk the dog and freshen up. He is doing much better and they just took out the ventilator so he is breathing on his own but this has been exhausting. I am heading back in a little bit but I just wanted to check in with all of you.

Kerribell, 2010, & Supergenius-I'm so sorry for the BFN and that the beta didn't go up.

albany-those numbers are amazing!

kelly-those numbers sound great! GL on your trigger and hopefully they will get many follies at your ER

syanna-good luck with your ER

sarah-ruth-that is amazing numbers! what was your fert report?

eol-AF Dance!

katie-4 hours for b/w?!?! crazy!! GL with your stimming

to everyone else-grow follies, gl in 2ww, and keep up PMA!

I will fill you in when I get the call from the RE about my b/w!
