Well ladies....I HOPE THIS IS THE START OF A BEAUTIFUL BABY IN THE MAKING!!!!!!

I went to bed at 930 last night I was falling asleep with the pc mouse in my hand. lol. So at 1am I woke up so bloated and having to pee so badly that I couldn't just go back to sleep as sometimes we do. So I said well it's 1am I'm going to pee on a stick cause it's been since 930 since I last pee'd. Maybe something will come up. So I took a Dollar Tree and again didn't think I could see nothing, which I couldn't. I had kept the cup before dumping it and thought....wth I'm gonna break out the good tests (FRER) and this is what came up in a minutes time!!!!!!!!!!!

Image

Sorry the pic is big on here. My camera is not the best unless I take the stick outside in daylight. I was going to wait til tomorrow to try and get a better pic but I got this pic for you all to wake up to.

I am scared, crying and happy all in one because of my last cycle and being very cautiously optimistic. It's 3:00am now and I can't sleep. lol.

I'm not messing around this time though. I'm calling my OB on Monday and telling them I want b/w for beta done. This way I'll know I am pg. Last cycle when I got my BFP (chemical) by the time I did my beta with my RE it was negative and they kept saying it was trigger when I had tested my trigger out and at 6DPO is was gone! Friday (12/11) RE's beta is waaaaay too long to wait and I'm not doing it this time!

Please pray for my sticky bean or maybe beans???? lol

xoxo

dodo928 wrote:Hello ladies, I just want to give a late update. I saw my RE today for follow up appointment. He was very kind and told us that he would try their best to help me get pregnant. The account manager told us that we don't have to pay anymore until I get pregnant. We still have to pay lab fee, anesthetia fee. Then I ask how much do we pay if I get pregnant. She gave me a discount of 25% off the first cycle fee we paid. She then asked me how much I would feel comfortable. I asked her 70% off the cycle fee and expected her to counter me back 60%off. But she didn't. She said Yes if this would make us stress free this holiday. I told her definitely. So, that's the end of the story. We have one less thing to worry. And we can start focus on the donor searching part.
that is good news! glad to hear about them being some what flexiable about the $$ aspect!

claudia - I'm so happy to hear about your FIL recovering news. Great blessing! Also wonderful news about you not having servere OHSS. :) That stuff scares me.

julia - GL with your FET. UK sounds great! Hope you have a good time even though it's business. What do you do?

katie - Thanks so much for updating the 'front page'. :D

turtle - Sorry about AF showing her evil face! I've had that happen to me before as well. How come you're not doing BCP's before your IVF? Just asking, cause I like to hear why other RE's do things differently.

dodo - 70% off fee is amazing! WOW great discount. One less thing to worry about indeed.

lorrie - i can totally see the second faint line, that's so exciting! you definitely should try to get a beta before friday or you'll drive yourself mad (and probably broke too from 30 POAS between now & then!) i work in marketing for an education company in their international division. i travel almost every month to the UK or the Netherlands, and it's been really interesting and fun. i really like my job and was all about work/work/work a couple of months ago, but like some of the girls said, this journey really makes you put your career into perspective. now i really just want a BFP and spend way more time than i should on this board ;)

dodo - it's amazing that your RE would work with you on the financial side. that's really great news, so much less stress for you so you can focus on finding the right donor! congrats!

claudia - so glad FIL is doing better, and that OHSS was not severe. keep drinking those fluids!

happy sunday everyone!

Lauries so happy for you! Congrats!
AFM I got some bad news this morning. Had my first big sobbing episode this cycle! The nurse called this morning and said that I will not be doing retreival Tuesday. Apparently my estrogen level came back low (551) yesterday and that most likely means my eggs will not be mature. So I have to continue ganirelix and stims but the thing that worries me is that my ultrasound yesterday showed my lead follies to be 21 already. I think that to go till Thursday will get them overmature and this is my last try so I worry like crazy about everything! I called my RE and he basically said it all depends on Tuesday ultrasound and labs! I want him to cancel me because I don't have a good feeling about this but he says not yet! I know it sounds odd to want to cancel and restart but if this is gonna be my last shot at being a mom i want it to be the very best it can be! My first ivf I had immature eggs. This time I am worried about the opposite. Please help has anybody had this type of situation?

Hi everyone, I posted yesterday but, on the wrong forum (Dag!!). I decide to post today, I was push to Monday for ER, because of my eggs doing really well. It's funny because my dh and I are not talking right now. My biggest pet peeve is inviting people over with the house being messy. Well he invited over at least 6 people. So I told him, I am going to leave the house while he can entertain people while the house being messy. So long story short we are not talking to each other.
So at the ET tomorrow, people will see a couple not looking at each other. Oh and it's our anniversary today. Great fun.
I know we will make up but, I will not go to him first, I know that sounds silly but, dang it I am hormonal.
LorrieS: I saw the faint positive line, I am so happy for you, the line will get darker and darker.
Katie: Thank you so much for updating the list. I cannot wait until we see more happy faces.
Julia 78: I always wanted to goto Las Vegas but d/t lack of money (IVF), we have to wait. I know one day we will go. As soon as this IVF stuff comes to an end.

Hi girls -

Franny -ha ha - DH calling RE's clinic - oh, how I'd love to hear that phone call. Speaking of tired of the clinic, "new nurse" who is very sweet, just not experienced with IVF, was there alone this morning. A patient ahead of me was asking all kinds of med questions, then she wanted to know when she would get called today & who would call her, New nurse looked at me & asked me! I guess theres a sign that I've been there too long? ha ha whats better is that I could tell her on a Sunday, RE will call you himself with med change, if not continue as before - Jeez it better work this time, if I have to cycle again they may ask me to answer phones! Teee heeee

Julia -thanks! I cant wait for you to get started - the waiting times are the worst! Oooh, I'm jealous I'd love to see the UK! enjoy your trip hopefully you'll have some free time, and when you get back - its go time!

Dodo -YIIPPPEEEE! Oh, honey thats fantastic! Trying to not be stressed is half the battle with this! I'm so happy for you :D Did he give you an idea on how long the wait for a proven donor will be? I hope that you can get on board soon!

Claudia -I'm so glad to hear your FIL is on the mend! Now how are you feeling? I've heard that its better to eat more protein than anything else when trying to stave off OHSS - get lots of rest - xoxo

Lorrie -WhooooHoooo!!! I hope that you can get your beta pushed up a bit! that was an early test, but i see a faint line too! Wishing you some darkening dust! I told you so! :D

Kelly -I know what you're going through, you want to have the best chance that you can. I've heard that using E2 levels to estimate follies flys out the window on an antagonist protocol, something about ganirelix shows a false lower reading, i'm not sure as to why that is. Is RE thinking to sacrifice the 3 @21 to mature the other 6? You never know what can happen in a couple of days. The last time that i was cancelled I only had 4 -there was 2@16 and 2 @ 11 in between sat to mon the 16mm went to 26mm, thats why he cancelled me, you still have 9 follies, dont discount that! Its worth waiting til tues appt to see whats what. I'll keep you in my prayers! - xoxo

Cheeky -my pregnant friend! how are you feeling, honey? You didnt tell us how high DH jumped when he found out! I'm over the top for you! -xoxo

Hazel -How goes my stimming buddy? get in a few ronuds of golf while you still can! I didnt feel any twinges last night. I was concerned til I went to b/w appt today. What about you? Good luck at your scan tomorrow!

AFM -For the first time EVER, my RE called to say that my ovaries are responding too quickly and LOWERED my meds! What? me? really?
I swear every time this man calls me, as soon as I hear his voice, my heart sinks -its always the nurses that call, when he, himself calls its to cancel me and remind me that at 40 its "indicative" of my age - GGRRRR!!!
So imagine my surprise when he said all is well & I'm responding nicely!
This must have made me sound like a fool on the phone, because I had him repeat everything twice  I hope it keeps up this way!

hugs & prayers to us all! - xoxo

Skylar - We must have been posting at the same time. I think its just all the stress of ivf, emotional, hormonal, financial - it all adds up.
wait, why does he have a houseful of people over on YOUR anniversary?
AAARRRGGGHHH! football season! I do hope that he's planning to make it up to you tonight. I mean, you are brimming over with hormones from this cycle - definitely not a good time to pi** you off! - hugs, honey xoxo
Good luck with your ET tomorrow! You'll be PUPO!

Katie-YAH for ovaries doing so well and getting that phone call from your RE!!! That is so exciting! I can't wait until your u/s where you can see your progress  I totally hear you on being at the clinics too long and having other people asking you questions!! At my clinic all the nurses, RE's, and receptionists know my name without looking at the charts which tells me that I have been there wayyy too long and ask a lot of questions!!! Thanks for the protein suggestion-I have been reading a lot about OHSS and it seems like Gatorade, salty foods (believe it or not to soak up the fluids) and protein are recommended!

Skylar-ugghhh-MEN do NOT understand what these hormones do to us and are sometimes very insensitive. I hate that you are fighting on your anniversary so try and make up so your body has NO stress tomorrow at your ET and you can be stress free!!

Lorrie-what did your RE say about getting the beta done early??? your are brave woman to test this early but it must be sooo exciting to see that faint line! I am so nervous to POAS...I haven't yet decided if I am going to or no and my beta is one week from today

Kelly-fingers are crossed that you don't get canceled and that your other follies catch up and he does the ER soon. GL Tuesday!

Hazel-my thoughts are with you tomorrow for your b/w u/s. The RE is allowing you to golf still?!?! They told me NO activities but my ovaries are also the size of grapefruits!!! Don't want them twisting (that would be just my luck if I played golf!!!)

Julia-have fun traveling! That will definitely take your mind away from the 2ww and make it more bearable! How many are you going to transfer?

dodo-that is amazing that your clinic is being so accommodating!! so much relief

franny-so good to hear from you girl!!! We miss you and our thoughts are with you and DH. Sorry to hear you had a nasty AF after taking the trigger but who knows if an egg was actually released or just the follicle? When do you get to start up again?!?!

AFM....Today I literally didn't get up from the couch except to pee (which was 50 times from the amount of fluids I am drinking!!) According to Katie's embryo day by day, my eggs should be snuggling in today so I wanted to stay off my feet as much as possible! My bloating is finally going down and I am much more comfortable. I went in this morning for my 4dp3dt b/w and my numbers were e2800 and progesterone was 23. I am not sure if these are good or not but nurse said they were so I am trying not to over analyze!!

FIL is doing so much better today and my DH has been at the hospital all day with him. Thanks again for all your kind words and prayers. I'm glad this weekend is coming to an end and hopefully this week flies by for my beta test next Sunday!!

katie that is SOOOO awesome about your stims!!! yay yay yay!! this is SO your time damnit! that must feel so good. i hate it when the RE's call because for me its never been a good phone call so i totally know how your heart mustve felt when you heard his voice on the other line and not a nurse. i'm so glad it was good news this time though....now you'll never know what kinda news it is if he ever calls you again. (scary!! haha i'm an emotional wuss) i hope you are all shoveled out...when do you go back for another stick and stir?

dodo that is awesome news about the $$$!!! woohooo that is really a great deal, and they seem very nice to be helping you out so much. one less thing to worry about is always a good thing! :D

julia - This journey really does put other things in a whole new perspective. I spend all my time on these boards too!! LOL. But I say if it wasn't for these forums for the last 2 yrs I wouldn't know what I know now. KWIM? Alot of women helped me with my own diagnostic and brought alot of knowledge to my cycles. My RE agrees these forums are good for us TTCer's. You have a awesome job though, traveling to Neverlands and UK. I don't fly so I guess I'm limited. lol

justwannabeamom - I'm so so sorry about your news today. How many eggs total do you have though. If you only have that one 21mm that's dominent but have many more smaller ones then it will all work out. I really hope it does for you in the end. But I understand you having this one last try and you want it to be a good turn out no doubt.

Skylar - LOL oh no! Sorry for you and DH fighting. I hope you make up for ET tomorrow. Or wait, is it ER for Monday (tomorrow)??

Katie - Don't you just HATE THAT when the RE tells you how old you are???? UGH  My exRE did that at every appt. He'd say "well I can't make you younger." or "well, you know you're 42 years old." BOy I don't miss him. I'm so happy you're responding well though!! Woo Hoo! Great cycle so far then right? :D Thanks for the 'darkening' dust

Claudia - My RE won't test me early. So I'll be calling my GP or an OB and just say I tested positive at home and want to get in for a beta. They don't know I'm going to the fertility clinic. I just really want to ease my mind this time. Well I figure I'll be testing again in the morning anyway, but I want blood to confirm what I'm seeing. It's hard to test but I started at 1dp5dt this cycle because I wanted to make sure the trigger was out and I saved them all. Stuck them on a sheet of white paper and wrote what day each were and all. It's nice to see the progress for once. I never know what the progestrone means when some women get testing done during the tww. Bloating is a great sign!!! Take it from me that got a line now...I was so bloated all week long!!

cheeky - I think that 860 beta is awesome!! SOrry about the bleeding. I know that it's easier said than done, but try and stay calm. I think with your beta more than doubling is always a good sign. Bleeding scares the daylights out of all of us. I will be praying for good news for you tomorrow **HUGS**

Katie congrats on good progress with those stims. I hope this time is your time! I think it is cool that you felt those twinges and you were right! I never feel anything. Even the last time I never felt twinges bloated cramps or sore (.)(.) Not even overly emotional. Obviously I was emotional but just because it was so important to me but no more than before I was on stims. I guess maybe it is better to not feel anything because you can worry yourself sick I bet with wondering what you are feeling huh? As for if RE is thinking to sacrifice the 3 larger I don't know I will have to ask him tuesday at the ultrasound. Last wednesday I asked if that was what would happen to the one lead follie that was 17 and he said no he didn't plan to loose any of them so I don't know what he thinks this time. I will let you know when I find out! Thanks for the info! The nurse did say that ganirelix will decrease estrogen but she was still concerned about how low it was.so we will know more tuesday I guess!
Cheekyone I am saying a prayer for you now!! Hang in there this must be so scary and I am so sorry you have to go through this! PMA!PMA! It really can make a difference.
Thinking of you all!

Cheeky - Aw my dear friend, my heart hurts for you! I can only imagine how surreal this must be for you. Please dont give up!
