Syanna congrats that is great news! I had the exact same situation my first IVF cycle we did ICSI due to very low sperm counts. They ICSI'd 10 and only 4 fertilized but one was abnormal so we only had 3. They couldn't say why so low but if the 4 you have look great then that's all you need! Good luck! As far as the day 2 transfer I am not sure about that neither RE I have had does them so I am not sure. I did read somewhere that embryos will grow better in you than the lab! So maybe that is better! How many will you put in?

Hey ladies it's been a long time since I posted on here been busy with my kids and moving and of course all the ivf stuff but update is I had my ER on Saturday they got 24 eggs!!!! Of which 17 were mature and 14 fertilized normally so and I got my 3 day report today and I'm happy to say all 14 are still growing some a little slower but I still got a good amount in the running I'm scheduled for ET on Thursday at 1:15 so I pray that at least 2 stay strong for my 5 day transfer.

Katie99 I am sorry about the follies, I hope everything works out for you. Miracles come in weird ways.
Mommieof2 congrats, I'm happy you have a lot of follies, isn't it amazing one of those follies will be your baby?
Lorries I am excited for you, I hope you have a really good beta number.
hjw How are you doing?
Claud662 I am glad we are 2ww buddies, I am so happy the journey is at the finish line. How are you doing? Any cramping, I have cramping time to time.
AFM: Not a lot happening here, I can see why the 2ww is difficult, every thing cramp or twinge in your body your wondering, does this mean I am pregnant or I am losing it. I know I just started my 2ww but, I already thought about it 10 times.

syanna-4 seems like a great number for your ET tomorrow! I haven't heard of 2 day transfers but I am sure they will do beautifully once back inside of you!! How many are you and DH going to transfer?

skylar-Believe it or not, I actually haven't had cramping which is weird because for the last 15 months every cycle I have convinced myself I was pregnant because I DID have cramping and of course each month got a negative!! So maybe this is a good sign? Plus, with all my OHSS symptoms in the beginning I was dealing with all that bloating/discomfort and since that has gone away the only thing is sore bb (but I think that's from the PIO shots)! Are you going to POAS? I haven't decided yet if I am going to!!

Katie-fingers and toes crossed that tomorrow's u/s looks good and that you have a couple of follies that catch up for your early retrieval!! You knew something was going on down there with all those twinges the other night! GL GL GL!!

Mommieof2-Welcome! those are great numbers!! Wishes for your 5 day transfer and hopefully you will have all 14 to choose from

Nothing new here...although I am paranoid every time I wipe because I have a history of spotting around this time in my cycle which has ALWAYS led to a negative so I'm hoping no spotting this time around!!!

Starting tomorrow, I hope

Post by Brooklyngirl »

Hi all,

Wish me luck. I go to the RE tomorrow to see if I can start my cycle. I have had a problem with recurring cysts. I hope there won't be any cysts tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone else!

katie - OMG, ER possibly as early as this w/e! I don't think we're going to be twins for too much longer...you'll just have to be my very slightly older sister and lead the way to our BFP's instead! Oh sweetie, I'm sorry that you might get 2-3 follies when you were obviously hoping for more, but just look at justwannabamom for what little miracles can happen in only a few days. Hoping for a similar success story from you too! Good luck at your u/s and b/w this morning, just make sure you ask him all your questions, including your worry about whether the eggs will be mature if you go to ER after 7-8 days of stims etc.

syanna - 4 great looking embies is fantastic! On the subject of doing a day 2 transfer, when I went in to see my clinic on Monday they told me that they no longer do day 3 transfers, it's either day 2 or day 5. Apparently they looked at their stats and saw no benefit to waiting until day 3, and if you aren't going to go to blast stage, they prefer to get the embryos back in Mum where they belong. So don't worry, I'm sure your clinic does day 2 transfers because on their results they work better. Just have faith! GL for your ET!!!

Mommieof2 - wow, 24 eggs, I can only dream!!! GL for your ET tomorrow, do you get another progress report on your 14 embryos today?

Lorrie - so, did you get the call yet about your early beta? Can't wait to hear!

Skylar - I'm fine, thank you! Oh, the dreaded 2ww. I honestly thought I would be OK in mine, because I'm usually pretty level-headed, and it drove me CRAZY, constantly analysing every little twinge (or lack of twinge)! I just tried to keep as distracted as possible, with books/crosswords/TV in the early resting days and then meeting friends/walking dogs etc in the later stages. Not worrying about it too much is easier said than done though, I know!

claud662 - well, yay for no cramping and spotting then, although as you know both are fairly common in IVF and can be caused by the progesterone, so try not to worry if you do get them. I'm so happy your OHSS symptoms went away, what a relief!

Brooklyngirl - welcome! GL for your appt today with your RE, let us know how you get on. I saw from your signature that you mention a 2ww - have you just had a cycle?

AFM, I'm just stimming away, waiting for my next u/s tomorrow. I'm starting to get a heavier feeling in my abdomen, so I'm guessing that there are a few things growing in there, I'm just praying that it's the follicles and not the cyst! We'll find out tomorrow...

Take care everyone,

arrrggghhhh....I started spotting this morning. I know that everyone says that you can spot and still get pregnant but because this has been how it has been the past year and half with no pregnancies, it makes me feel like the IVF didn't work. I don't know why I spot? My progesterone was 23 just a couple of days ago....

But on a happy note my work got canceled today because it is sleeting/icing!!! That was a nice surprise so I don't have to teach tonight until 9:30PM!!! Yah for that and stalking this board all day!!

GL to everyone who is having an u/s and finding out reports today

Hi AFM!!

Claud662 - sorry to hear of your spotting - but I hope its normal. Will you call RE office? Try to enjoy your day off work!

Hazel - Good luck at your ultra sound today. I hope you have lots of ripe and juicy follies!

Katie99 - Good luck at your appointment today. I hope that dominant follie calms down and that your RE gives you the information you need to keep moving forward.

Justwannabeamom - Good luck at your ER on Thursday! Sounds like you'll have lots of great follies for them.

Syanna- Good luck at your ET today. I have heard of a 2 day ET - If you havent already googled it I think you can probably find something about it online. How exciting! We'll be PUPO starting on the same day!!

AFM - I go in today for my ET at 11:15 CST. The 3 day report was that 7 out of 9 had grown over 7 cells and two were lagging at only 4 cells. We'll get the full results today before our ET.

I hear that there is a lot of bad weather in the US today - hope you are all safe and warm!

good morning everyone!
so i am snowed in today! DH and the dog are upstairs locked in the bedroom so the painters can finish their work without a crazy dog stepping in the paint! (while they are here re-doing the basement i asked them to paint the bathroom off the kitchen...why not right?? haha) thank god DH's school got canceled today because without him helping out with the dog i woulda lost my mind today, and my backup plan of leaving poor piper outside while they worked wasnt gonna happen with the already 5 inches of snow we have with no end in sight!

katie ive been thinking about you since yesterday! i hope you have good news today, and you dont have to drive back and forth in this snow we are getting up here. i am waiting on pins and needles to hear the good news from you!!

syanna first let me say i HATE when i have to call the "nurses line" and its just VM and then you wait and wait and wait for them to call you back...never knowing if anyone got the message at all! grrrrrr. it drives me crazy. i usually call and leave like 3 VM's and then i call my office in bedford directly...i know i'm wicked annoying but i dont care....they always say "dont feel bad about calling with any questions" so i dont damnit!!
i'm so glad they did finally call you back and you get your ET today!!! woooohooo. i dont know anything about a 2 or 3 day transfer since ive never made it to that point, but i'm sure theres not much of a difference. i am sooooo excited for you!! youre PUPO!!!!! i hope you didnt get DR. hill to do your ET again today haha. i hope you are far enough south to not be getting all the snow we have up here today! :D :D :D

tc4474 woooohoooo for your ET today!!! good luck and get some rest! youre PUPO!!! :D

claud i also spot almost every month about 5 days after i ovulate. when we first started TTC i thought it was implantation bleeding because i never noticed it before we started TTC (although i'm sure i spotted then too i just didnt pay attention to every little thing down there like i do now)
well when every month would pass without getting pregnant i was confused. i told my gyno and she said it was no big deal...then when i moved to RE i told her about it and she said the same thing. so i dunno why it happens, but its annoying!! i really really really hope your spotting this time means it really IS implantation spotting!!! PMA PMA!! i would also call your RE and let them know!

oy....the dog got out of the bedroom and i have to go save the painters..i will post more later....wish me luck!! haha

omg everyone...where are yall? i'm going crazy waiting to hear good news today.
katie you are worrying me! i hope all is well and you are just resting from all the darn back and forth youve been doing this week!

syanna how did the ET go? how many did you put back? are you PUPO yet????!!!!

claud that sucks about having to go to work. is the spotting still there? i'm hoping everything is ok!

tc4474 are you PUPO??? howd it go?

hazel good luck with your u/s tomorrow! i think your name is awesome by the way!!! grow follies grow!!! :D

justwannab did you trigger? how did it go?? enjoy a shot free day!

afm the painters are gone, and it looks awesome!! i'm sooo happy to have a whole new finished basement, and a new pretty pale purple bathroom off my kitchen. the piper dog didnt step in paint so that was a plus! tomorrow they come in to do the carpets!! wooohooo!
we ended up with 10 inches of snow today! i guess winters here for real now. it was the really heavy wet snow too so it took FOREVER to shovel, and i got some nice blisters on my hands because of it.
so in between keeping the dingo out of paint and shoveling i got a call from my nurse saying that she called in my meds to the pharmacy...i called her yesterday asking her to do it and made sure i mentioned the *right* pharmacy, because of those who remember my whole nightmare of messed up pharmacys from this last time....(i'm sure my rant is back there on page 17 or something haha)
so when she called today she said "all of your meds are ordered and you are all set and (get this) the *wrong* pharmacy will be calling you to set up delivery" ummmm i said "no no no no no!! thats the wrong one again!!" and she said that starting dec. 1st the *wrong* pharmacy bought out the *right* pharmacy so i would now be getting my meds from them!! ahhhhhh its all so confusing. its actually pretty cool though because i hated the pharmacy my insurance made me go through, and the new one is about 45 minutes from my house and they will do overnight delivery for me if i ever need anything right away, and they said if that wasnt soon enough they actually drive meds themselves right to patients doors or i can drive down and pick it up!! that sounds soooo nice! maybe i will actually be stress free this next cycle!! i'm not gonna jinx it!
so i actually am getting my new "baby in a box" tomorrow!! its got some new meds ive never used before so i am excited to get to look around....here comes picture part 3! i wanted to order it now because we will be away from the 22nd-the 3rd and i didnt want to get caught up in holiday shipping drama. if i knew it was going to be so easy this time i woulda waited a little longer, but as long as they dont expire i am happy.
i cant wait to get my meds and see the look on the carpet guys faces as i open up all of those NEEDLES!! haha
also this is the 3rd time ive had to order my PIO, but never got to use it once! thank god its the lowest co-payment or else i'd be pissed!!
ok well i'm gonna go back to my online shopping fest i started today! i already paid for all of my meds today....might as well keep spending right??

Hello Ladies,

So sorry I went MIA. I was busy feeling sorry for myself and self diagnosing, etc, etc.

Katie, am thinking of you big time- hoping all works out.

Hazel, wishing you good luck with U/S tomorrow.

Claud662, just keep thinking positives- wishing you luck with hormone level check.

Turtle, good luck with the new meds, I love a change!

Syanna - good luck. will be thinking of you tomorrow- go implantation.

AFM: AF finally showed up monday --- right after I called RE to complain about no AF (I did try the dainty white panties, and it worked!) Anyway, went in today for bloods and U/S. Good news that the U/S she could actually see my ovaries- which are normally blocked by annoying enormous fibroids! I guess my accupuncture and visualization of shrinking fibroids is worth something. She called this afternoon, said bloods looked good. Est: 20 and FSH 8. So, here is hoping it goes well. I didn't supress this time, so we'll see if I get a dominant follical as well. I am going to barely make it before the clinic closes for Xmas! First shot tonight!
Am I the latest on the list- or is anyone else just starting stims/ or awaiting? Maybe brooklyngirl will join me?

Hey franny I was wondering the same thing! Where is everybody. Glad your baby in a box is coming! New carpet and paint? Awesome! What new meds r u on this time?
AFM I did trigger last night. Went fine. I have been having terrible pain in my back going down my leg and into my calf. RE says it isn't related to IVF so I went to my regular dr and he had me get an ultrasound to make sure I don't have a blood clot but I am pretty sure I don't prob just a back problem but better to b safe than sorry I guess. We left straight from the u/s and are now headed to michigan where I am having retrieval at 10am. Wish me luck! I will be out for this one which I don't really like. My old RE let me b fully awake. I watched it all and knew right away how many eggs they got. New RE will not allow me to be awake. Oh well I guess I won't feel it this time cause it didn't feel good last time! I am a little concerned about being out because of the embryo mix up that happened in michigan very near me. They aren't releasing the name of the IVF clinic that did it yet but it could b mine. I don't know! It is a little scary! If you guys didn't hear about it google sylvania ohio embryo mixup they made the woman give the baby to the people it belonged to after she carried it for 9 months! Can you imagine how horrible for both couples! Anyways I will let you know how it goes tomorrow!
