Hi everyone,

I don't really know anyone on this board, but I wanted to say hello and say, yes, indeed, I started on Thursday!

I am taking 450 gonal-f, 150 menopur, and two clomids per day. I am doing acupuncture as well.

I really hope this works (insurance covers only three cycles). Last time, I was on a lower dose without clomid. I only had seven eggs and two viable embryos. The doctor really wants more eggs, given my age.

Justwannabeamom - Congrats on 5 fert! It really is a great number although I know we always want more. I hear stories of all ferts making it to day 5 so you could still end up with some great blasts!! Remember, it only takes ONE!

HJW/Hazel - Glad to read that your follies are coming along and the trigger is soon. I am so excited for you!!

AFM - Well, one week from today I will know if I am BFP or BFN. I havent decided if I am going to POAS or not. I dont want to but I think most of us get pretty tempted to do it anyway.

We got the results back from our lab and out of the 9 fert, we had 2 put in and 4 frozen. We are so happy and grateful for the 4 frosties which is more than what we expected.

We decided to only tell 3 friends about this IVF process and 2/3 are out of town. There are consequences to not telling people - I feel in so many ways that I have become isolated to many of my friends and family. We've just decided that this process was something that we wanted to manage privately but it comes at a cost.

This board has been a great support network. I just get bummed when I see so many BFN's on this cycle. I know that the rates for BFP's go up with mutiple cycles so I am so happy to see many of the BFN's hopping back in next cycle. The next board is so happy to get the support of you guys. Your time is coming ladies!! If I get a BFN I'll be there too .

We need some more BFP's on this board so I hope the rest of the month brings lots of them for us!!

Hi Franny, thanks for reminding me of Chanukah! My first and nicest boss after my graduation do celebrate it! He sent chinese new year greeting cards to his chinese staff every year. in return, i sent Chanukah greeting card to him back. Happy Hannukah to you and anyone who celebrates!

I mentioned to 2 of my friends before but didn't tell them the transfer day nor the result. BTW, I only told my acupuncturist who is a trustable person and she knows how to treat me.

AFM – AF showed on Monday and I have been bleeding since then… hope it will stop soon… on Monday I have my “complimentary after BFN” appointment with RE and will know when we can do FET… for now I will try to focus on xmas tree, xmas dinner and our vacation for new years… I am not sure if I will join Jan Feb board - probably… sometimes I think it brings additional pressure but then there is so much support out here… I hope I was able to support you a little too… LOVELY LADIES I WISH YOU ALL HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND THAT YOU WILL GET WHAT YOU WANT THE MOST IN 2010! Hi ladies, I had my day 12 stims u/s and b/w today. The final tally is 10 follicles, ranging from two at 25mm, one at 16mm, and the majority somewhere in the middle around 18-19mm. I got 6 eggs when I did my first fresh cycle in April so I'm hoping and praying for 8 or so mature eggs, and any more will be a bonus. The cyst is still there, it looked about the same size as Thursday (30x40mm) but it's squashing into the follies on that side and out of shape as a result so it's difficult to tell and they didn't bother trying to measure it.

The clinic have just called with final instructions now that my b/w came back (they don't ever tell me the results, btw, so I don't know any of my levels). I guess I'm already where they want me to be, or slightly over, as they want me to reduce my last dose of Gonal-F tonight from 225iu to 150iu. I will then trigger tomorrow night (or, more precisely, 1.00am Monday morning, it's going to be a late night), with ER on Tuesday 15th @ 12.30pm UK time. It's all starting to feel very very real now - eeek!
