Skipper: I just added you as a friend on Facebook ;-) Congrats on a boy! I bet you and your hubby are thrilled!

Angie: I'm glad you had a wonderful birthday! I can't wait until I feel my baby. Hopefully soon!

Cressy: How's the bladder infection? Gone I hope.

Dogzrule: How nice of your parents-in-law to give you such a gift! How fun. It will be so cool to set everything up with your hubby!

AFM: I still haven't felt a thing and am getting a little nervous about it. My next appointment with my Perinatologist is the 18th. Do you think everything's ok? I'm just feeling apprehensive :-(

tortilla - I am sure you are fine. Some women don't feel the baby til24 - 26 weeks depending on where the placenta is. Not long til the 18th. Take care.

Hi Gals! So I went into my Perinatologist to get the baby's measurements, check function of heart valves, brain, etc. Everything looks great and he said I have a little kickboxer on my hands...which is so ironic because I'm not feeling anything yet. He said that's fairly normal with an anterior placenta and that I should be thankful...he said I'm probably going to wish I can't feel every move when I am able to finally feel her because of her kickboxing ability. LOL!

tortillachip: I am glad to hear that you got some reassurance regarding the baby's movement. You will be feeling her full force before long! I can't believe we are all half way (or more) to delivery!

Thanks Skipper and Dogz!!

I was just wondering if any of you are experiencing pain/aches in your pelvis area. It's worse at the end of the day and also if I wear any type of a heel, even a small one! It's the weirdest feeling! And my feet ache all the time...think my posture is changing or something??

Tortilla - u must be so relieved. So glad! Like skipper said u will soon feel her all over the place. LOL. I did get some pain in my pelvic area earlier on but the doctor said it was normal. Now i get pain in my hip area. asuming that is because of stretching.

Anyone still getting dizzy spells? i walk around 3 blocks everyday from the metro and sometimes i have to stop in the middle for 5 minutes as i start to feel very dizzy. My dr. said it is because i am borderline aneamic and my body is still adjusting to the extra iron that i am taking. Anyone else?

Babies - I dont get dizzy but I am often out of breath. I take my doggie for a walk and have to stop often and I walk very slow. Are you taking any additional iron supplements that are safe? I want to do that since I have placenta previa.

Tia - Okay dont laugh but why dont you try to lie down on your back and meditate with your hand right below your belly button. Imagine what a kick would feel like then attach the emotion that you would have once you felt it. Really visualize all of this in your mind, especially the elated feeling you will have nce it happens. Try this for like 30-45 minutes. It works for me everytime.

I did this and the put my husbands hand on my belly and Kendelle grace kicked and we felt it together... it was awesome and they say the husband cant feel till 24 weeks.

BTW, bladder is all back to normal, thank you.

Everyone - When are you all having your showers? Mine is Feb 6th, I am so excited. Any names picked out? What did you all think about the swine flu vaccine recal? Has everyone signed up for CPR classes? Also, there is an excellent article in January issue of "Parents" about sids, you should read it if you get the chance.

Best of luck mommies!!!!

My baby shower is January 30 (seems there was some sort of conflict for one of the two ladies throwing it every weekend in February, and we didn't want to wait until March, just in case). I am SO excited. Her name is Samantha (the girl version of Samuel from Hannah's story in the bible). The swine flu vaccine recall was for the kids' version, so I am not at all concerned. I got mine back in October, and I got the seasonal one in September.

Babies - no dizzy spells here. Just having left hip/outer thigh pain at night after a few hours or so of sleeping. Trying all sorts of things with the body pillow/extra pillows, and it seems to help, but OUCH!

Cressy: So I finally felt her kicking on Friday and I thought they were pretty hard so I asked my hubby to put his hand on my belly and he felt her too. I feel very relieved ;-) I love the meditation idea too! I typically only feel her after I've eaten and when I'm on my back. What an awesome feeling it is! Woohoo!

My friend is throwing a girls only baby shower on December 27th because she lives in Hawaii and it's the only time she will be back in California. Then my other girlfriends are throwing us a coed shower on February 20th I think it is...which willl be more of a party atmosphere.

As for names, we don't want to name her until we see her, but we have a few names in the running. We'rer starting our birth class at the hospital in January as well as infant cpr. I'd like to take the dog cpr at the same time...I LOVE my Lab!

Babies: My hips/pelvis feel much better when I wear tennis shoes or after my hubby rubs my lower back. I haven't had any dizzy spells. Have you tried those wristbands for motion sickness? I hear they can help.

Dogzrule, Skipper, Angie:
Thanks for your reassurance guys! I feel soooo much better!

Cressicaw: i am taking the ferrosequels iron supplement. My doctor told me to because i am aneamic. Hence i think the dizziness.

Having my shower (co-ed) mid Feb. Still trying to figure out a date that is convenient as my sister from Uk wants to come. So exited. We are getting there. I went to buy buy baby (before the snow storm) and ordered our crib and dresser. They were so cute. I also ordered our stroller. Now planning to go back over the weekend and register for other smaller stuff. As for names, we have a list of 5 going right now. Hopefully we can narrow it down to one.

Signed up for the childbirth class for Feb 6th. Anyone planning to take basci child care? I'm thinking of doing for DH since he hates reading books.

Happy holidays to all of u and a fantastic new year! Next year we will all be celebrating our christmas and new year with our little ones!!!!!!

Hi All

Hope you all had a great christmas and boxing day.

So happy everyone seems to be doing well.

Tia: Yeah for the kicking. It is the best ever isn't it?

We don't really have baby showers in the UK they sound like fun, talking about babies all day for once knowing we all have one on the way!

We had a 4d scan today and he is so cute, I can't wait for the next 13.5 weeks to be over (sounds so soon doesn't it?)

I have posted part on youtube, you can find it at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=omJoURo-LsQ

Have a great New Year all, I hope it is the best ever for all of us.

Tortillachip I am SO glad you felt her kick. I know you are so relieved. What a great feeling, huh?

We had a great Christmas and have been very busy getting ready for our baby boy. His first name will be Ethan, but we aren't set on a middle name yet. We're rearranging two rooms in our house in preparation for his arrival. Our little girl had to give up her playroom, but she has been a trooper! We're working on organizing all of her things into her room.

My shower is going to be on March 21st. I believe we are going to have a co-ed shower like we did with our daughter. More of a party with our family and friends. My daughter will turn 6 on April 14th. This little guy is due to arrive on April 29th, so I'm anxious to see how close their birthdays will be!

What an exciting time for all of us!
