I'm also coming over from the Nov/Dec boards. Doc cleared me to start BCPs tomorrow, for starting a FET cycle in early January. We have 4 snow babies waiting for us.

dodo928 - we usually visit family for the holidays. This year I have to work most of the time, so we're just staying put & relaxing.

Hello everyone!

I decided to post on this forum as well since my process started in december and with many prayers ER in january. This is my first IVF cycle and since my DH was just deployed a week ago to Afganistan, I thought I would be doing this alone, but thanks to this forum I don't feel alone at all(thanks katie99 !!) Just a little information about me: DH and I have been married 5 years and TTC 3 years after tubal reversal. Unfortunatley we were'nt successful and after an HSG in 2008 confirmed that IVF was the best option (tubal reblockage )

Me:36 (blocked tubes)
DH:43 and perfect (froze sperm in november)

I start BCP sometime this week as soon as AF arrives

To all the Ladies


I was over in the Nov/Dec thread. This will be my third cycle unfortunately and last. Insurance will run out. First fresh cycle was back in Sept with a BFN. I did FET in Nov with BFP with beta = 88 which was good. Second beta = 49, third beta = 6 I do have a DD via clomid. Hoping to give her a sibling. I'm mentally drained already I'm not sure when I'll actually cycle, sat with RE already and doin blood clotting studies on me and wanting to see if RE will transfer 3 embies this time instead of 2.

Moorebaby - That is a bunch of crap what your RE said goin straight to sperm donor !!!! My DH fertilized all my embies all 15 of them and I miscarried and I have a DD already. My RE says 50 % of pregnancies will miscarry alot of them are chemical so they never knew they were prego. Miscarriages can happen for a # of reasons, that they will never know what truely are the causes of them. By the way "Hello" sometimes I just speak my mind

Hi Ladies. Can I crash? I was in the Sugust/Sept cycle budies group and had a BFN. DH and I took a break b/c our house sold and we were moving. We are all moved into our new home and will be cycling soon. I am finishing BCP this week and once AF joins us, we will be starting IVF #2. I anticipate ER and transfer in late Jan, early Feb. My last IVF cycle was a disappointment. The RE thought I reposnded very well and expected at least 10-13 eggs at retrival. They only got 2 and only was fertilized. Unfortunately it was not good quility and ended with BFN. The only thing they can think of was that they triggered to soon and an the HCG trigger was not strong enough. So we will add repronex to the mix and a higher dose of HCG at trigger. Plus they will push me a little further with stims. I am excited and scared all at once. We have one more shot at this as then the $$ runs out....but I am keeping PMA with hopes for a new baby next year:)

Hi Ladies!
I have been hanging out around here but not posting since nothing was happening.
Well I just went to my appt at the new Dr today and I think we are going to switch to here. I really liked it and felt very comfortable. Not only that, it is 5 minutes from my house compared to 30! That is a bonus!
The earliest I can start is February but that is fine...what is another month in the land of IVF right??? Their pregnancy rate is higher then my previous place which is exciting! They have a shared risk program that the other Dr did not offer. I think we are giong to shoot for that if we pass all the qualifications.
So we are excited....I cant wait to start!!

Hi All,

I'm back after a week in Vegas for work and a little play too. Had a great time. It was also good to get IVF off my mind for a bit. I had my baseline appt on 12/4 and it showed a cyst and an elevated estrogen. Had it rechecked right before I flew out for Vegas on 12/6 and the estrogen came down from 92 to 68. So they didn't cancel me yet. I go back on 12/21. I'm worried I'm going to be cancelled and this whole process will be delayed again.
Keep your fingers crossed for me!

I'm at work and will do personals next time. Best wishes everyone!

I just wanted to check in and see how you all are. I know that everyone is feeling the down time of waiting to get started already, good thing that we have the holidays to focus on in the meantime. I was planning on spending Christmas during the 2ww (in other words put up a little table top tree and call it a day) so, now thats THATS not gonna happen, I guess its decorating time. Boy I love it when its done, but the getting there isnt easy. I wonder if its too late to convince DH to climb up on the roof to hang icicle lights? Its freezing here and theres snow all over - Tee Hee guess I missed my window of opportunity

Not much going on with me. I'm on bcp's and had spotting this am, which has never happened to me before. Odd, but I know not uncommon. Of course my mind starts thinking all kinds of bad things.

Thanks Katie! I sure hope you're right. Does your clinic charge you extra for cancellations? Mine charges an extra $500 cancellation fee to cover their scheduling, which makes no sense to me. I've already had to pay it once. It sucks bigtime.
