dodo928 - holy cow! a roller coaster is right! hope you are able to keep up your PMA, girl. :)

hazel - hope you are feeling a bit better now.

claud662 - i am crossing everything that you've got a strong embie there and that last beta was a hiccup.

LorrieS - i was a bit concerned when you went missing off the boards, but i'm glad to hear the reason was morning sickness! congrats!!! those look like great beta numbers. am crossing everything that your next beta comes out just as strong. :)

sarah_ruth79 - hang in there girl! friday's not too far away and you've done all you can for this cycle. lots of ladies on these boards convince themselves they're not pg, but end up with nice fat BFPs.

Skylar - crossing all my fingers & toes for a BFP for you & your DH!!!

justwannabamom - hope you are enjoying your PUPO status. :) :)

katie99 - thanks as always for keeping on top of that status chart (and taking charge on the Jan/Feb board too!). :)

BRMommy2b - good luck with your FET today!

turtle - hope you are having a great Chanukkah!! your acupuncture experience sounds divine...i may have to give that a go.

AFM, I totally misunderstood my insurance coverage. The only thing I knew was that we got coverage for 3 live births (but didn't know there was a limit on the number of tries). So apparently we get 3 tries for a live birth and then that's it if it doesn't work. If it does work within 3, then the counter resets for the other 2. So...what this means is that we will probably do another fresh cycle next month rather than a FET. I am still grateful we get these chances paid by insurance; it was just nice when I thought I didn't have a limit. :D

claud662 - oh honey, I'm so sorry. Try and keep strong, I will be crossing everything for a strong beta on Thursday.

sarah_ruth - that's great that you've managed to get an early beta, saves another weekend being stuck in the 2ww waiting zone! Well done for not surrendering to the evil HPT's!

dodo - yes, what a roller coaster for you, I'm so happy it had a good outcome and that the donor of your choice is on hold for the right person! GL with your RE.

Skylar - GL for your beta tomorrow, I do hope you get a call back on the same day, it would just be too cruel to make you wait until the next day! What a lovely name, btw (I always wonder where people get their usernames for the site from!).

AFM, I'm feeling physically fine now, a good night's sleep (albeit a night interrupted by one of the dogs getting scared by a noise and needing to come into the bedroom with us at 5.30am!) has made the world of difference. I just called the clinic for our fertilisation report - apparently 6 of the 8 eggs are showing early signs of fertilisation. They are still going to aim for a day 5 transfer, but are going to take it day by day and see how the embryos go, so I have to call again tomorrow for another update.

Hi everyone -

Sorry that I was MIA yesterday (when my DH is home, its like the house is in chaos for some reason :D ) I didnt even get to finish decorating the tree yet. Thats the plan for today. I love it when its all done & pretty, but the dogs wrestling around me in a small living room makes it a project!

BRMommy2b - Hope that your FET went today! Get some rest!

Julia - Hooray for a greenlight on the 21st!

Hazel -Yay for 8 eggs! oh, special to have your ET on your birthday! What a bond that will be! I'm pulling for a 5dt! I'm sorry that your ER was so painful, I cant believe they choose to do it with just a local
Rest up and feel better so those 8 "Zorbas" can feel right at home! - xoxo

Sarah -Sending you loads of PMA! Good job at getting your beta moved up - I've tried that before with my clinic and they are stubborn!

Claudia -Slow rising is still rising - I have you in my prayers for tomorrow!

Dodo -Whew! that was really something! I love it! She was on hold - for you! I hope your RE approves her soon! I think it was meant to be!

Franny -Where are you? We miss you!

hugs & prasyers to all of us! - xoxo

hi everyone!

hazel i'm so glad you are feeling better! when i finally make it to ER (and i WILL make it to it this time damnit) i am going to be totally out. none of this local stuff....noway! wooooohooo for 8 zorbas!! haha! this is going to be such a special birthday/ christmas for you. a story you will be able to share with your baby one day!! GROW EMBIES GROW!!! :D :D

dodo ahhhhhhh stress! it never ends! i woulda been calling every phone number i had to figure out what was going on. doesnt it seem that the more freaked out you are the less likely it is for someone to answer the phone?? what exactly is the RE looking for with the donor before they approve her? it seems so confusing. hang in there!! i'm so happy she is on hold for you!! :D

supergenius hanukkah is going great. we've been lighting our menorah and playing dreidel and making latkes...mmmmm yummy!! i'm actually not "offically" jewish...my husband is and we had a jewish wedding, and i go to temple way more then church so i'm learning. we decided a long time ago that we would raise our children jewish. (with some extra christmas fun at my parents house!!) my pretend children are very spoiled! haha
how are you? any plans to come up to NH? its hard to make travel plans with all this IVF stuff getting in the way right?

claud damn girl...i stop crossing everything for half a second and you make me regret it. i'm back to crossing again, and those betas are going to skyrocket tomorrow!!! katie is right...a rise is a rise! please try to stay calm! ((((((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))))))))

skylar i cant wait to hear your BFP!! there is noway they can make you wait till tomorrow. i'd be calling for answers right about now if i was you!! PMA PMA PMA!!!

lorrie woooohooooo for morning sickness!! haha i know its probably sucky, but its just a reminder that your PREGNANT!! and ive also heard that very early M/S could mean twins!! when do you get to have an ultrasound??? i hope you feel better soon!

julia woooohooooo on ET date!!! soooo exciting! the 21st will be here very soon!! :D

kelly how ya doin? i hope you are staying calm. are you still on for sunday?

brmommy i'm thinking of you today. how are you feeling? youre PUPO!!! WOOOHOOOO!! :D :D

EOL i'm so sorry. being canceled sucks!! i really hope you all the best in the future whatever you decide to do! your dreams will come true!!

katie my DH is horrible at home repairs. i'm better then he is and thats only because i google everything haha. when we bought our house our realtor kept telling DH that he had to become "handy". haha she said it everytime we looked at a house so now when anything needs to be fixed i joke that he needs to be handy! with having the roofers here a few weeks ago, and all the guys renovating our basement last week i kept bugging them with other projects that needed to be done around the house haha "i'm just a dumb girl...cant you fix this too while you are here...on the side....for free??" (batting my eyelashes) hahaha worked like a charm!! i kept joking to them that i was dumb and married a teacher and not a plumber! i think they felt bad for me for having such a useless husband hahaha
oh yeah and everything ALWAYS happens on the weekend...of course!

nanine if youre out there i'm thinking of you. how are you feeling? check in with us ok? :)

afm i'm going to acupuncture again tonight. i'm excited for my 2 hour nap time haha
soooo here's a funny story for you guys....when i got my new baby in a box last week i decided i needed to throw out some of the old gonal-f that i had been keeping. i had about 6 pens with 75 units left in each...i kept them incase i needed an extra dose as backup i could give myself a million shots to reach my dosage if i had to. well i finally decided to throw them away because they would be way over expired by jan. and i needed more room in the fridge. so i tossed them out with the trash. last night i took the trash out to the curb for my early morning trash pickup today. well....it got wicked wicked windy here last night, and at about 3 in the morning i heard this HUGE bang from outside my house. i got up and looked out the window and saw my garbage can on its side blowing down the street throwing everything inside of it everywhere!!! so here i was at 3am running down my street in my PJ's trying to catch all of my gonal-f pens around my neighborhood. hahaha like thats what i want....all of my neighbors finding my IVF drugs all over their yards. i was so paranoid for the rest of the night that it was going to happen again that i kept waking up and looking out the window to make sure my garbage can didnt try to run away again. i'm nuts...i know! haha

turtle - I've got such a funny mental image of you tearing down the street in your nightdress collecting all the rubbish (OK, I know that they were PJ's really, but somehow my mental image includes an old fashioned nightgown and bedhat, hahaha!!). Hope none of the neighbours spotted you - they'd have thought they were living next to a madwoman!! Actually, we only have 6 possible 'Zorba's' now as 2 eggs aren't showing any signs of fertilising, but that gives us enough for the clinic to make the decision to try for blastocyst culture (their cut off number is at least 5 eggs showing signs of fertilisation on day 1) so we're happy. Oooh love the helpless woman routine with the builders, bet it worked a treat! Enjoy acupuncture...

claud662 - so happy that you're feeling a bit more positive now. Just hang in there, you'll be fine I'm sure. This process is never easy and straightforward, huh?

katie99 - hello! I missed my katie fix yesterday, lol! Hope you've managed to get the tree done. Thankfully my two 4-legged monsters have stopped finding the Christmas decorations so exciting, so we got the job done in relative peace on Sunday.

Take care ladies,

Well ladies just checking in. First new is great news! The thaw went very well, and "Hope" was a beautiful little blastie this morning, just starting to hatch!

The transfer did not go as smoothly as my last one. Even though I drank 32 oz of water, it appears that I didn't do it early enough, and they had to infuse water into my bladder. NOT PLEASANT! So I was having a hard time relaxing because I feel like if I do I'll pee on the RE's head! I have a big curve in my uterus so they had to fill my bladder up to straighten it out. Took quite a while, and then we all stood there after it was over for like 20 minutes draining my bladder with everyone just staring. The RE even said, "Anybody have a good joke?"

Anyway, it's over, and I'm home resting. I'm positive right now because I was really nervous about the thaw, and it went well, so I feel like the first hurdle was jumped. I'll stay in touch about how the next few days go!

Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA for a few days. I had to travel for work on Monday and Tuesday and am very happy to be home. I'm exhausted.

HAZEL - Yay for 8 eggs! That is wonderful!! Its good news for your 6 fert so far but dont give up on the other two. Sometimes the others need an extra day to catch up. We were told that we would only have 1 to freeze, MAYBE 2 more, but we ended up with 4. Dont give up on those embies!! Sounds like your RE has a good handle on whether to give you a 3 or 5 day transfer. I am very excited for you.

CLAUD662 - Keep us posted on your 3rd beta number. I am keeping you guys in my thoughts!!

SKYLAR - Good luck on your beta today!

SARAHRUTH - Isnt this the longest 9 days ever? I am glad you got your beta moved up to Friday. I think we generally play mind games to keep us in check - but dont give up on this cycle yet.

FRANNY - OMG!!! I know that was probably stressful seeing your Gonal F fly away but that really is a funny story. I had one bag of our empty menopur vials and other trash fly down the street but luckily the trash back stayed intact. Now I weigh down my IVF trash with magazines or something heavy. I too am holding on to 4 gonal f pens in case I need them so I will be sure to learn from your story and not let them fly down the street. The cost of gonal f is so high you hate to throw out even a drop!!

BRMOMMY2B - Are you PUPO yet? I hope the ET went great today!!

AFM - I am now 7DP5DT and while out of town on Monday I broke down and POAS. More like "PO 9 S's" between Monday and today. All of them are giving me a BPF. But I cant tell if the lines are getting any darker so I am scared it is still my trigger shot. I had it two weeks ago tonight and it was a dose of 10,000 Novarel. So I am thinking that it is taking a long time to get out of my system. I havent told DH yet because I dont want to break his heart if it turns into a BFN. So here I am 48 hours later and over $50 spent on a bunch of tests that I cant tell anyone about except for you all! I commend you ladies who can resist the temptation.

I know it could be a false positive so I am really not getting my hopes up. I think the POAS is just something to help me pass the time. Our beta is Friday so I think I'm going to tell him about the POAS tomorrow night. You probably all think I'm nuts.

Hope you are all having a great week!!

I promise I will do personal later, my beta is 137. I have my next beta on Friday. It hasn't hit me yet. I think it will if the number doubles. I love all you ladies, you are a great support team.

skylar-that's crazy we both got 137 for our first beta numbers!!!!!! I really hope your rise better than mine though!!! YAHHH for being preggers

brmommy2b-YAH for being pupo...that sucks about your bladder but at least your thaw went perfect!! Enjoy the next couple of days and get some rest!

tc4474-I'm pretty sure the HCG trigger leaves your body after a week so if you are getting lines than you are preggers!!! When is your beta scheduled? I also wasn't sure if I should tell DH but I did and it was the most amazing thing!! Even though I'm still on the roller coaster ride it was worth it to share that good news

hazel-keeping my fingers crossed that you make it to day 5 blast!

AFM...still keeping hope alive....having twinges and sore bb so I'm just hoping for the best!

Supergenus: My RE offers 100% money back package on 1 life birth and on fresh egg cycles only. If we have snow babies and want to use it, we would have to pay. In my case, it's better because the clinic has higher successful rate on fresh embies instead of frozen. The fresh embies is over 80% successful rate and frozen embies is 50% only.

Hazel: Last time I had 7 mature eggs and 6 were fertilized initially but the 7th one finally caught up and fertilized as well. crossing fingers for your 8 eggs!

Katie: I also like to decorate the christmas tree and make the house looks pretty. I only finished not too long ago either.

Franny: RE needs to check if the donor's medical info is good enough to be a donor or good enough to make me pregnant and increase their DE IVF live birth successful rate! Sorry for the overnight drama! I think I will be as paranoid as you!

BRMommy2B: Sorry for the hectic day! Glad to hear you can rest now! sending you tons of sticky vibes!

Congrats to the BFP ladies! Yay!

afm, I don't have any news! I hope that we can have the answer from RE tomorrow whether to move on with the donor.

Syanna,

I dont know what we're supposed to be feeling now but HANG IN THERE!!! Your beta is just around the corner! I know the suspense is maddening. Hopefully there's something you can do the next few days to keep yourself from stressing out too much. Read a good book, clean the house, go for walks, watch movies, mail holiday cards, etc... Keep the positive attitude and I am really keeping my fingers crossed that this cycle works for you!
