TC - CONGRATULATIONS!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
I'm so happy for you!!!

Sarah -At my clinic over 5 is positive. I feel for you having to wait more now til monday. But if the PGD throws off a standard lab value then I know you are in for a long weekend - Hugs for that! If you do plan to POAS - make sure to use the early detection type so thet pick up hcg levels as low as 10-20. I'm praying for your numbers to rise! - xoxo

Dodo -I agree! And we dont gamble either - this whole ivf thing is like a casino in Vegas - throw your hard earned money down & hope for the best! the odds have to be with us sooner or later, right?

Franny -Yeah, this ivm was a surprise. After thinking of nothing else since I got that call, we have decided that if this is what the RE feels will help us get the most eggs - We have to give it a shot. I mean each ER we get SO few! The first we got 5 with 3 fert - poor quality though. The second time we got only 3- 2 fert but grade A perfect 8 celled with 0 fragmentation and BFN  So he thinks that instead of the usual 2 -3 eggs and lose the rest since they're too darn small - he wants to try this
All I can do is pray that it works and maybe this time have more? PLEASE!
And oh, yes - I have a collection of sharps too - I swear that if this doesnt work soon - I'll take all things from the giant box -o-meds and make an "Homage to Infertility" OH, yes, I'm losing my mind!

Kelly -Oh, no! Are you planning to buy up all the HPTs in Ohio?
Wishing you mucho darkening dust!

Hazel -I'm hoping for the most perfect "Zorba" for you! I hate the idea that you must fight with the system to transfer back however many you want to! I chickened out of the shops today  Have to go to run everyday errands instead since they'r forecasting another 6-12 inches os snow for tomorrow! Blech!!! I have a driveway that sounds about as much fun as yours is! So how smart am I for trading in my Jeep for a small "good on gas" car this summer? Who thinks ahead? Not me

Brooklyngirl -Glad to see you're not MIA! Wow, 14 follies is fantastic news!!! So much luck to you on Sunday!

AFM -Well, my DH says we should try the RE's idea of IVM - I mean at this point anything that could help us get a better amount of eggs, right? I'm still nervous, but trying to keep PMA on this idea. I guess we cant end up with lower numbers than we already have - so why not?

hugs & prayers to us all! - xoxo

Hi everyone,

I'm so sorry I have been completely MIA. I just have been so sick and absolutely exhausted all the time. I read the board often, but can't make it long enough to post.

My heart goes out to the sad news I have read over the past couple of weeks. I am praying for you.

Congratulations to the BFP's!

You are all in my thoughts and prayers. I keep up with all of your posts, I'm just so sorry I can't make it long enough on the computer to post personals.

AFM, we had a big scare this week. I was at school when I started bleeding VERY heavily. It was soaking down my pants legs- I know TMI. I left immediately, and my ob sent me directly to the perinatal specialist I am seeing. As it turns out all the babies are doing well. Heartbeats of 146, 146, and 150. All growing well too. But, I have some more issues than we thought. I have placenta previa- 2 of the babies are on my cervix. And I have Thrombophilia which is a clotting issue. So, I have a large clot on my cervix where the babies are which is causing the bleeding. I have to be on Lovenex injections starting once a day and increasing to twice a day soon for the remainder of the pregnancy. I've been on bedrest till the bleeding stops which it is stopping now. Hopefully I'll be ok for a while now- till at least the holidays are over.

Lots of LOVE, LUCK AND BABY DUST to you all.

Nanine

Nanine so glad to hear they are all doing well but wow what a scare. I hope you don't have any more of those! Sounds like with that placenta previa you may have a few issues along the way. I hope that the meds keep everything good for you and the babies! Glad to hear from you though. I was just wondering about you today actually. I hope the sickness gets better soon. Keep us posted when you can.

Teachermom - You take care of yourself! I'm very glad to hear that what appeared to be a VERY scary incident turned out to be OK, and I hope that the doctor's recommendations will have you feeling better in no time at all! You are such a wonderful person, and you deserve all the happiness your three bundles of joy will bring!!!

OMG Nanine, that must of been horrible! I'm so glad all is ok now and you're resting and all babies are good. I'm on Lovenox too. I guess that is a true miracle drug.

Katie - I agree with DH, what do you have to lose? GL!

Sorry girls I'm at work, but I wanted to share this crazy day of my FINAL beta phone call!

First off my beta came back 2290.

But you girls have got to read how it was told......OMG!!!

The nurse calls and she says "You're back down to baseline. You're not pregnant." OMG I started balling my eyes out and saying "How can that be??? How can that happen so fast??? OMG!" Crying hysterically! :omg:

All of a sudden she says, "OMG OMG Lorraine, Lorraine! I'm so so sorry! OMG Lorraine please stop crying, hold on!.......I had the wrong file!"

  I THOUGHT TO MYSELF - ARE YOU F'N SERIOUS???????

I'm not kidding ladies. If there was anytime for this sort of thing to happen it was NOT today!! Tom (DH) ran over to me with tears in his eyes when I said "I lost the baby???" OMG it was awful.

SO to say the least I have reached my peek of stress today and with that I will say I am relieved and NOW GOING TO SAY F IT TO ALL OF IT AND ENJOY THIS PREGNANCY FROM THIS MOMENT ON. Even if I'm waiting for my sono on Christmas Eve morning! God has blessed me and brought me here and my baby and I will be together in 8 months!!!!

GLORY BE TO GOD!!!!!

LorrieS I cannot believe the nurse got the wrong chart, wouldn't it be sad if she called the other patient with your chart. Then she will have to call the patient back and tell her the horrible news. I would of cried if I was you too. I am so glad everything turned out well. Great betas.
TC Those numbers are awesome, congrats :D :D
SarahRuth I know those numbers very low but, I truly hope the next numbers will blow us away. The best POAS test is EPT .

HFM: My beta came back 321, my dh is very happy. Me? still not feeling pregnant, no symptoms just a little twinges every now and then. My next beta is scheduled is Monday, but due to our money situation I may have to do it on Wednesday. Dh insurance doesn't start until January 1st, so everything is out of pocket.

Lorrie first of all congrats on that lovely beta, but OMG what a horrible mistake for the nurse to make! I can't belive it. As if we don't go through enough bad news without getting wrong bad news. You poor thing! Well I guess at least it was wrong but wow what a terrible thing. I bet the nurse wanted to just die after that!

LorrieS: Wow, of all things to screw up on! I bet that nurse will have nightmares tonight! So sorry that happened, but so glad that what really matters - that you're pregnant and doing great - is the real news! Enjoy it!

Skylar: That is a great beta number. I understand our need to not get excited too soon, but so far everything looks perfect! I can't wait until I get to pass that kind of news on to my husband. He will be so excited too! He wants this just as much as I do!

Everyone have a peaceful weekend! We went to the TransSiberian Orchestra last night, and my dh says he hopes loud music and lights aren't bad for little embies! I'm going to see The Sound of Music with my family in Houston this weekend, so I'll just be a busy little bee! I probably won't be online until Monday, so hopefully I'll hear all sorts of wonderful news when I get back!

Hi Nanine, congrats to your triplets! I was a low birth weight preembie plus was in the placenter previa too. My mom always reminds me how dangerous the condition she and I were in 43 years ago. The mom was a teacher too. The technology in our area and in that period was not as good as it's now. My mom had a lot of bleeding too at the end but I was not ready to leave her womb. Good that she's staying and get ready in the hospital. Her OB was her student's parent and came to take a look at her and spotted her bleeding at her back and took her for surgery right away. She always told me if it's not that OB, either her or me would not live! I hope your OB take good care of you and hope that your bleeding stop. You're in my prayer now!

Julia78 I hope everything will work out for your ET on Monday, may the best follie win.
BRMOMMY I know it's sad, I finally get what I want and still I doubt, I hope you have fun this weekend, it's nice to get away from time to time.
BG Grow follies grow. I hope you get, what you dream of.
Kelly Are you from Ohio? I am.
Katie99 Sometimes you have to step outside of the box to make things work. I hope everything turns out for you, if you ever feel something is not right, most of the time it's not. So if you feel in your heart this is not the right choice don't do it but, if you feel like this is the right choice then go for it.

Thanks for the good wishes everyone. Justwanna, I don't know about the day of the transfer. I guess it depends on the number of embryos. Last time, I had seven follicles and seven eggs, with only three fertilizations and two viable, though average, embryos. Given my age (42 in four days--YIKES!!!), I wouldn't be surprised if I had a day 3 transfer.

Who knows? But I am confident in my doctor, so I am sure he'll make the right decision.

Happy holidays everyone!

hello ladies, the agency came back with a final estimated cost sheet. We didn't expect they include the costs of donor's psychological report, donor's genetic report, donor's medical screening report. We didn't expect the donor who donated one time last month and had all these tests already, we still had to pay these, and total up on the agency side would be $16K. My DH didn't want to talk to the agent today. But after seeing the cost, he said that he would talk to the agent tomorrow.

katie: i think it'd be great if you try IVM. Even though there's no guarantee, but it gives you a chance to fix the problem you have. I will give it a try too even it might be a little skeptical!

Lorraine: Sorry! I almost feel like a heart attack! The clinic might need to find another nurse who's more careful to talk on the phone.

Skylar : Glad to hear the beta is keeping up! Yay!!! I'd like to have the beta up instead of money if I had a choice. I think you'd hope the same. Right?

BRMommy2B: I also like TransSiberian Orchestra. They came in town in the beginning of December when I found out I was BFN. I like their songs but never gone to their concert. Glad you have fun!
