brmommy2b - congrats!!! 425 sounds like a very happy sticky embryo!!! did you have any symptoms at all until your beta? i am going crazy over-analzying every little feeling in my body as a potential symptom. i thought i was feeling twinges then realized it was gas (got to love progesterone). i felt a bit nauseous yesterday but i suspect it was induced by my eggnog OD. my boobs aren't sore at all. i feel just plain normal, really. 4 more days til beta!! on my way to go shopping to take my mind off of it..
happy holidays everyone!

BRMOMMY2B - congratulations on your BFP! I am so happy for you and your DH! What a wonderful holiday gift! That is a great beta ... I am not sure of any downsides but maybe that would be a good ghost question.
It's about time this board got some more good news! When is your next beta?
JULIA78 - hang on there during your last few days. Keeping my fingers crossed that you'll be the next BFP!!!
Julia_78: Soooo ready for you to join me on the September mommies board I just created. Guess I'm the first one, and according to my calculations, I'll be due September 3, 2010.
As far as symptoms, starting Monday, I felt full in my lower abdomen. I've had some regular, non-painful, very light cramping, which I assume is my uterus expanding. I had one night where I got dizzy/nauseus in the middle of the night, but not since then. My BBs have been on and off sore, but they get this almost numb, heavy feeling sometimes that last for brief periods. The last two days since I got the + on the HPT, I've been a little tired, but I'm known for creating my own symptoms so who knows.
tc4474: I did post that question to Ghost, so hopefully I'll hear. According to my "internet research," my number is extremely high for a singleton, but we only transferred one frozen blast, so I'm not really sure. What's funny is that they told us not to count on this one during the fresh cycle, and were pleasantly surprised that it made it to blast. Then we knew it was our little fighter, and fight it has! I'm starting to wonder if it didn't split on it's own into identical twins! The beta range for singletons for our time frame is 1-426, and we're 425. My second beta is this Monday morning at 8:15. Hopefully it will have doubled!
Thank you all for your support, and I hope you'll be joining me soon!

Hello ladies, I hope everyone had a lovely day yesterday. We spent it with my parents and DH's dad here, which was really nice. DH did all the cooking because I'm still taking it fairly easy, so it felt like a less stressful Christmas Day than usual! DH's dad went home this morning and we are driving my parents back home tomorrow. Have to say, it's been very strange not having an alcohol drink on Christmas Day of any kind - it's the first time that's happened for about 20 years!!!
Brooklyngirl - I've been keeping you in my thoughts and hoping you had your transfer today.
LorrieS - I love your dream, I hope you are still feeling as positive today. We are all rooting for you! When is your next scan?
tc4474 - it must be killing you and DH to keep such happy news to yourself, particularly at this time of year! Roll on your u/s so you can shout the news...
BRMommy2B - OMG, what a strong strong beta, you must be so happy! Hope is truly one little fighter (or maybe now fighter"s"?). Can't wait for your u/s!!! I love the Grandma and Grandpa ornaments, were DH's parents crazy happy when you told them? How did you tell your parents? Oh, I do so hope I can join you over on the September 2010 mommies board...
julia_78 - I'm pleased that you're over-analysing symptoms too, it's driving me crazy here! I've had really strong cramps and abdominal aches, plus sore boobs and lightheadedness on and off, starting from the day of ET (last Sunday). But as of yesterday (which would have been 5ddp5dt) I've almost felt completely normal again - no cramping, no aches, no sore boobs. It's totally freaking me out, and I'm really scared that it means that it was working but now isn't. I'm trying to take my own advice and not read too much into what I'm feeling/not feeling, but it's sooooo hard. And I still have another week to go until I can test. This is going to be the longest 7 days of my life!!!
katie99 - AF really has great timing, doesn't she, showing up on Christmas Day morning! Oh well, at least she's here and you don't need to worry about it any more. Can't wait for you to have your IVM class on Tuesday so we can all get on with your new cycle! Cos this one's going to be the one... Hope you had a great day with DH and your gorgeous pups.

Thanks again for the good wishes, especially to Julia, Katie, Hazel, Skylar, Lou, BRMommy (if I missed anyone, forgive me) and thanks also for the birthday wishes.
I got the call this morning. Neither embryo developed properly. They were disorganized masses of cells, or something like that. So I am officially canceled.
Any ideas about what causes that and the low fertilization rate (even with ICSI)? I know my age is a problem, but could there be a male issue with the fertilization rate? I will post this question to Ghost too. I only have one more shot at this (insurance issues), so needless to say I am very very disappointed.
Also, Lorrie, I hope everything works out. Congratulations to BRMommy and good luck to Hazel and Julia!

Brooklyngirl -I'm so sorry, I understand the stress of being cancelled - its happened to me 3 times. You should ask a lot of questions at your follow up appt. Hopefully your RE can give you a better idea of what happened this time and change up your protocol to give you a more positive outcome. I'm happy to hear that you can give it another go soon.
Cheers to 2010 being the year for us all!
Hazel -Hooray for a DH that can cook! That must be nice - I wouldnt know about that - tee hee. Please dont drive yourself mad trying to analize every tiny twinge, or no twinges at all. You know that signs and symptoms dont mean anything either way at all. Just enjoy being PUPO for as long as you can - xoxo

I miscarried today. I knew something was wrong when I was passing huge clots and I think I even saw something in one I looked at...there was some kind of tissue in there. The ER dr said the baby died 2 days ago. My HCG was 2048 tonight, so my RE I guess was right afterall. Lucky guy!! YAY he wins the big PRIZE for Mr. Fuckin Know it ALL!!
So here I am....again nothing to look forward to. Tom and I aren't speaking because we fought very badly. It's just my life. Always having to 'get over something'. Those are my cards.
Sorry ladies I'll be back when I'll be back.....

Lorrie I am so so sorry to hear that! I have been thinking about you. I am sure you are feeling terrible and my heart just breaks for you! Many many (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
I am sorry you and DH are fighting. This whole thing is so stressfull that it will cause many fights and tears. Try to work through it and remember that we never seem to react the same to things when we are upset so try to forgive DH and rely on each other for support through this hard time! Some people think it is best to take a break from everything and take time to grieve. I will be thinking of you!

Lorrie: I am so sorry to hear that. With all that we have gone through, I feel like we shouldn't have to suffer through miscarriages as well. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this very difficult time. Are you going to have tests done to see if there may be a recurring cause of the miscarriages?
HJW: We told my parents over the phone . They live 5 hours away and we just saw them last weekend, so I knew I'd have to wait a while if I was to do it in person. We told them we had one more present for them, and asked them what the best present they could imagine was. They pretty quickly guessed, as they know we've been trying for a long time and I wasn't drinking wine last weekend . Then I told them to go get my brothers and sister (who were all at home), and I told them, "Merry Christmas aunts and uncles!" Ours will be the first grandchild on either side of the family, so they were all very excited. Just found out that my parents and brothers are on their way here today! My little brother used to live here and moved, and they decided to go ahead and come get his stuff out of storage today and tomorrow so they could see us. So excited!

Next: Work on improving DH and my fertility while saving up for next round. Why does something that we want so badly have to also be so expensive?
julia_78 - how's it going with you? Are you still feeling some cramping? Not long to go until your beta on Tuesday, I bet it can't come soon enough for you!
Brooklyngirl - I'm so sorry, I was really hoping that your embies would prove to be little fighters. I saw your exchange of posts with Ghost, I hope you are able to find some answers so that you get your deserved BFP next cycle!
LorrieS - I'm just heartbroken for you, I was praying for a different outcome to this journey for you. I can't even imagine how devastated you and DH must feel, I hope you have made up now and are able to give each other comfort. I know we always seem to take it out on the ones we love, but you need each other right now. You are both in my thoughts. ((((((((((hugs))))))))))
katie99 - as always, thanks for all your efforts doing the list and keeping all of us updated. I can't believe there are only a few of us left now. I seem to have a habit of being the last person cycling on these cycle threads, it happened on the March/April thread, again in June/July and now on this one. Each time, by the time I get to the end of the process most people have disappeared off! Yes, I know, I'm very lucky with DH, he's a little star around the house. Although he doesn't actually cook very often - it kind of seems mean to ask him to cook at the end of a long day at work since I lost my job last year and am now around the house. So he cooked on Christmas Day and that'll probably be it until next Christmas Day!
AFM, I'm still trying to be patient until we do our home test on Saturday. Since yesterday, I'm still feeling pretty back to normal physically, although I've had a tiny bit of cramping today - I'm trying not to read too much into any of that either way. One week of the 2ww down, one week to go!

lorrie - i am sincerely sorry about your m/c. i don't really know what to say, there is nothing that can make the pain go away. i had been thinking of you & DH all week, hoping for a xmas miracle for you two. hope you & DH have made up, IVF does put strain on relationships - between the emotions & the hormones it's like a pressure cooker isn't it. i saw your post about giving it one more try - i hope you can find meds on this board (i did not use follism but have some bravelle left if that can help). big hugs to you & dh.
brooklyngirl - i was so sad for you when i read that your embryos were not developping like they should. i hope your RE can help give you answers so you know what needs to be done differently next time around. i hope you & DH are doing ok. i am thinking of you both.
hazel - the wait is KILLING me. i now distinctly feel cramps which i don't remember feeling in my last BFN cycle. i have been sleeping A LOT these last 2 days (though DH swears it's my body making a self-preservation attempt to make time go by quicker until Tue so I don't go too crazy). 2 more days. almost there.
brooklyngirl - can't wait to join you on that sept mommy board.
thanks katie for updating the board. you are so dedicated, even now that our board is slowing down.
have a good rest of the weekend everyone!
