BRMommy2B - such bad luck with the office being sick, just make sure you don't get too near people and keep washing your hands to kill the germs! Oooh, yummy mocktail, I'm definitely going to have to give that a try tonight!

dodo - hope it went smoothly with the ED agency and that you and DH are now full steam ahead!

LorrieS - I'm so pleased that the u/s went as well as it could, and you can start to move forward without the trauma of a D&C. (((((hugs))))) I'm going to be praying for your cycle in Feb/March to bring you the outcome you deserve. Enjoy your beer or two tonight.

lou71 - you're right, I am really tempted to test early, but DH said he won't let me in case we tempt fate! Did you get your 'go ahead' call? I haven't heard of a trigger shot for FET either but as the other girls have said there are so many different protocols out there, and it will help your lining anyway. Yay for starting the 'big' shots today on NYE - at least you can have a few drinks first to help you ease into them!!

AFM, 2 more sleeps until the official home test day, although I'm going to see if I can't twist DH's arm to let us test tomorrow, New Years Day. I had a little bit of cramping yesterday but otherwise still feel completely normal, and raring to get out and do some proper exercise!

I hope everyone has a great New Years Eve tonight and that 2010 brings us all happiness, love, good health and of course beautiful happy and healthy babies.

Hazel I can't believe you have not POAS yet. Wow! That is dedication. Can't wait to hear your results of BFP. I really hope you can end this board with great news.
Well I am still having a really hard time dealing with my BFN guys! Christmas was horrible had to run off and hide for a couple meltdowns. Then yesterday I went over to see my best friend and her 4 kids who I love to death. I went to do christmas with them. The kids were so cute with their presents. The second oldest is Jordan she is 7 and she is mildly autistic so she gets stuck on ideas and can't let them go. Well a couple weeks ago when I was in the middle of my IVF cycle they were at my house visiting and Jordan looked all around my newly built house (which I built big enough to have children and fill it up) and she said Kelly are you gonna have kids or is this whole big house just for you and Jason. I just responded maybe someday. Well yesterday Jordan cam walking up to me and just said Kelly I wish you had kids so that we had somebody to play with. It just broke my heart! And there stood my best friend ready to just sink into a deep hole she felt so bad and that made me feel even worse. I just want to forget it all! But no matter where you go or who you are around even the children have the ability to rip my heart to pieces! At work patients ask just trying to be friendly so do you have kids? Family during the holidays ask then push about what are you waiting on? No one realizes that simple questions can be so hurtful. Sorry guys I just needed to vent.

Hi everyone -

Jeez- I go MIA for a day and it took me a while to catch up! I dont have too much time since I have to go shovel out the driveway yet again - enough with the snow already! Wow the last day of the year - i cant say that I'm sad to see it go - it was rough for a lot of us. Heres to the New Year bringing us all BFPs!

Skylar -How are you feeling mom?

Hazel -thanks! yes, it does mean only 4 appts total! Yippee for that! Just baseline, 1 monitoring, then ER / ET - I'll take that over every other day! It seems like they mature them in an incubator for 48 hrs (they'll be checked 3 times and the meds are in the cuture medium) then 1 day to fert then a 2dt. This whole process has me a bit confused since I feel like an expert on protocols this past year, so having to get used to a different way isnt quick for me. Also my med schedule is altered such as usually I start PIO & crinone the day of ER and now ita a day after. The steroids start 3 days earlier, and BCPs turned out to total only 2 weeks
So needless to say, my schedule had to get color coded and hung up.
Now you are the most patient woman EVER! I'm so proud to see you not only survive the 2ww, but to resist all HPTs? You deserve an award for that! :D Now the question is will you do it tom or sat? I'm so excited for you!!!! I cant wait to hear your great news! Big hugs!!! - xoxo

BR - EEKK!!! everyone at work sick? Oh, joy! bet Purell & Lysol are your new best friends!

Dodo -How exciting! I hope that your donor is all signed and waiting for you!

Kelly -I feel heartbroken for you. I SO wish that you could convince your DH that it isnt God's will. After all God made the REs smart enough to figure this out for us. And he made the scientists smart enough to invent the meds for us. And the people who make the monitoring equipment - I believe that these things wouldnt be without HIS input and blessing. Please try to help DH see things from your point of view. I'll keep you both in my prayers.

Soooo ladies, I FINALLY talked to the pharmacist that shared my information with my neighbor without my permission. I've been twice before but she wasn't working. So I went again today because my Endometrin is now covered by my insurance now that I'm pregnant (and I got $300 back!!!) and to get my prescription pre-natals. When I walked in, she recognized me and had my scripts ready for me by the time I got to the counter.

She said congratulations (she knew I was pregnant because she had to get the prior authorization so that my meds were covered now), and said something like, are Mr. and Mrs. XXX (our neighbors who she told) going to be the godparents? I acted like I didn't know what she was talking about and said "Shhhhh! They don't know yet!" She said, "What do you mean, I thought the two of you were going through this process together." To which I said no, we're just neighbors who say hello when we see each other every few months or so. She said she felt terrible and had to admit that she had told her and now I know my neighbor is going through it too. She asked if I was mad and apologized like 50 times. I know she felt bad and for some reason thought we knew the other was going through the same thing, but it doesn't change the fact that she should never talk to one patient about the other no matter what!

I got home and told my husband about it, and he thinks she told her I was pregnant! When I was talking to her I thought she was referencing fertility treatments, but once my husband said that I realized she could have meant that she told her I was pregnant too! What a mess.

Oh well, at least I am, and I hope I stay that way. I'm so bad, I keep telling like 1 person a day. My husband says if I'm so eager to tell, why don't we just go ahead and tell everyone, but I know I need to make it though at least the first ultrasound.

Happy New Years Eve! Off to make my "mocktails"!

BRMommy2B - WOW  You are right! No matter what, you DO NOT tell other people's private business. Its upto YOU, the patient, to tell whomever you want!! That is a mess. But you are pg and that's a BLESSING!! :P

hello ladies! Happy New Year to all the ladies here! I just want to give an update. Last time I mentioned that we'd seal the deal for a donor at an agency. it turned out the night before, I surprisingly received a PM from this forum. it's a gal answered my donor post here. I'd never expected anyone will answer my post because I know how hard it's to find a pure chinese donor. I tried posting at CL b4 in May but never had any reply. I went to the egg donor side here and found people looking or giving out eggs, sperms or embryos. I gave it a try. I found the reply the night before sealing the deal. Without seeing any photo, I found a lot of things matched me. But she is first time donor and doesn't belong to any agency. I couldn't sleep that night and wonder what sign it meant. I asked her a list of standard questions that the agency would ask. In the morning, I knew that I didn't expect her to reply that fast. I knew it's a sign but timing was wrong. I gave up. I was tired and went back to bed until noon. I woke up and found a reply from my email. She answered everything I asked for and gave me a lot of her photos. Almost all the info matched me, our mind went wild. We decided to cancel the deal with the agency and went with the donor found in this forum. We're now crossing fingers that RE would approve her. It's a roller coaster. It's my birthday today. I hope everyone have a wonderful new year's eve and new year. God bless!

xoxo.

Happy New Year, ladies, here's hoping that 2010 fulfills all our dreams.

BRMommy2B - great mocktail! I'm pleased you had the talk with your pharmacist - by the sounds of it, she just made a mistake but certainly won't do anything like that again. Not that it makes it any easier for you, knowing that your neighbour might know your situation. I guess the only thing is that if your neighbour is undergoing her own IVF journey she'll understand if you maintain your distance and don't talk about it.

dodo - your new donor sounds amazing, it is definitely meant to be! GL with getting RE to approve her, and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

justwannabamom - I'm so sorry, honey, it sounds as if you've had a difficult time over Christmas surrounded by children and people asking you awkward questions. We all know how that feels, so you vent all you like! I hope it all gets easier soon.

katie99 - serves you right for going MIA, if you have a lot to catch up on, lol!! Hope you had a great NYE - you start your IVM this month, yippee!

turtle - hello, nice to see you! Hope you're having a fantastic time in New York! Were you somewhere with a great firework display last night?

AFM, I persuaded DH to test a day early and it's a BFP for me!!!!! 2010 has certainly started out way better than any other year since we started TTC! I don't think it has sunk in yet, we are excited but also being cautious - we don't get any betas so don't know whether the HCG is at the right level and if it will progess as it should. The clinic told us to test on day 18 (tomorrow) and again at day 25, and then assuming both are positive to call up to book in for an u/s. So now we start another 2ww (or more like a 2-3ww) until our 7 week u/s. We're very happy but know it's still early days.

Thank you ladies for all the fantastic support I've had on this site, I couldn't have got through this without you all.

Tons of love,
Hazel

Oh hazel I am soooo happy to hear you are BFP!!! I think this nov/ dec board had a run of bad luck with so few BFP's and so many chemicals and early m/c's. Yeah for one last positive outcome for someone!

AFM I have actually just been waiting to hear the last of this groups results and now I just need to get out of the IVF world. It has been said by many that IVF totally consumes your life and it definately has mine for the past 2 years. Now I am done and I feel very empty inside and I look back at all the missed moments with family and friends because I was wasting my life away tring to get something that I can not have. I feel that I have been a poor wife, friend, family member, and co worker as I have changed so much in the last 2 years while being totally obsessed with having children. I feel like I forgot what it is like to just enjoy the precious moments in life. I have decided not to go to the IVF failure appointment with the RE because nothing he says will make me feel better. I need to figure out how to find myself again and forget about the last 2 years and just move on. So I need to get away from this website, tell my family and friends what I have been through, and rely on them for support now. I do really appreciate all you have done for me and I will never forget you all! I wish the absolute best to you all as you continue your journeys in life. If ever I find the old Kelly in this emtional mess I have become I will come back and look for you all. Didn't want to just become MIA so I am saying goodbye. I just have to get away from here so that I can start my healing process. IVF needs to be the last thought I have in my mind. Thank you all again for all your kinds words. I can't tell you how truly amazing it has been to experince this with you all as this was my first online group of friends and it is so odd to me how connected you can feel to people you have never even met. Tears poor down my face as I write this as it is sad to end on a bad note and sad to leave you all but this is something I just have to do to get to a peaceful place in life. God bless you all and happy new year!
I do have a whole lot of lovenox, progesterone, and a couple ganerelix and gonal F and I think some fostimon from england leftover if anyone is interested pm me otherwise I will put it on freegaragesales.com.
