Thanks to everyone for the AF dance!!! I am baffled that AF arrived this morning (Happy New Year to me!!) 2 weeks ahead of schedule along with a nasty headache, not that AF is really ever on schedule for me, but it's also never this early. I'm giving you all the credit!!! Thank you!!! :D

So my current dilemma is that RE is closed today, of course (he only closes on New Year's and Christmas). However, you can't really leave a message at the office on the weekend's either. So, I'm going to try to call tomorrow morning, and if I can't get a response or leave a message, then I'm just going to drive myself over there by 9 a.m. I'm so thankful that we're close to RE's office. (I know some of you drive hours!!) They are always in the office in the mornings. Even if they tell me to come back on Monday, at least I'll know that I'm on their "radar" again. I really thought I'd have another couple of weeks, but I'm super excited that AF arrived now.

moorebaby - I am ROTFL at what you'd REALLY like to post on your FB page to your DH stepsister. Before we had our DD with IVF #1, I use to imagine myself at work standing on my office chair announcing that everyone needs to shut up and realize that not everyone can get pregnant when they want to and that everyone needs to be more sensitive to the stupid things they say to people about pregnancy and babies. I use to think about it ALL the time. You vent anytime you need to. And hooray for your baby-in-a-box.

riley baby maybe - I like that "holding hands, jumping in together". What a great way to look at it!

bethanyneedsluck - Before RE, my OBGYN put me on Femara and was hoping that it would help me ovulate, which it never did. I'm pretty sure I never ovulate. But I'm not sure how the RE's use it. I didn't have any side effects.

misocial - I'm also in Kansas City!!! Double and triple checking your calendar sounds exactly what I've been known to do also. You're in the right place!!! Send me a private message if you want to discuss RE's in the KC area. I definitely have an opinion about a certain one, but I LOVE my current RE's office, which is my second RE.

It's gonna be a GREAT year!!!

Hi everyone -

OK - who's hungover today? I'm hoping that thats all out of ours systems now - so we can move onto all BFPs around here! Hope you all had a nice holiday! And I hope that the new year brings us all what we are praying for!! :D

Jenice -a shot of Lovenox every day throughout pregnancy is a small price to pay. As long as you get that BFP you can put up with anything! Now, having to kiss a horse's ass on the other hand....

Rlk1 -I've heard that FETs can be known as late implanters - that may be the reason for your clinics long beta wait. Mine does a long wait also, even with a fresh cycle. I think sometimes its better to wait it out and know that your numbers will be higher by then - I didnt say that it was any easier though...

Bethany -femara is the same as letrozole - Re's use it to block E2
for a short time, its known to help "starve" off endo tissue. I took its sister drug, anastazole and it worked just fine, but I wont lie to you, it was 40 days of nausea - sorry.

Lou -Ok, good, lets not count cancellations too. Now if only my RE would give me odds like your chart .... How goes the PIO?

Misocial -Welcome! You can always find a list of abbreviations on the General forum - they're "sticky" so they're always 3rd from the top.
yes, it does get harder after 35, I'm 40 also. It might take us longer, but we will get there! :D I think we all check our med calendar many times a day!

Franny -Hope you had a great time! hurry home - we miss you!

Babyhopes - How goes the stimming? Grow lots of em!

Riley -GL with starting stims tomorrow!

Gi -How is my Irish rose? I'm sorry to hear that you'll be a chemical soup soon with all those meds, but I'm so thrilled that they've got you all sorted out now! Now- onto a BFP!! :D

J & C -So glad that you are back! Now does an early AF mean a longer time being suppressed? Or an earlier FET date? This will be our time! :D

Dodo -How wonderful that you had a new angel drop in on you & DH!! I've got my fingers crossed that your RE approves her! I cant wait to see you all settled and ready to go! How was your New Year's eve? What did you end up doing? I'm embarrassed to admit it - but we both fell asleep way before midnight -

Sorry if I missed anyone - this thread at last count is now at 36! Thats a lot of typing going on! Hugs & best wishes to us all! - xoxo

Hi Everyone -

Mind if I crash your thread? :) First of all - HAPPY NEW YEAR - praying this will be a GREAT year for BABY DUST for ALL!

Secondly... I'm coming back for Round 2. My son just turned 1 year old in December 09 and my DH and I are all set to start BCPs in about a week or so. Waiting for AF... oddly, cycle is particularly long after it finally came back after breastfeeding for 10mo. It's about 36 days now, but RE says it's normal.

I went in for my day 3 bw/us in October and wow... what a flood of emotions - I totally did not expect. I mean, I thought it'd be surreal, but it was... wow. a lot. Both good and bad memories. My story in a nutshell - I'm 36, DH is 44. Have 3 DSS (14, 15, 18 ) and one DS (13 mo). IVF due to vasectomy (previous marriage). 1st IVF/ICSI - July 07 - BFN. 2nd IVF/ICSI - Oct 07 - BFP, m/c 8 wks. 3rd IVF/ICSI March 08 - DS born Dec 08. No embies on ice. :( always had good ovary response, lots of eggs, but sperm doesn't have the best motility. About a 50% fert rate (I'm an analyst, I have totally analyzed the heck out of this whole thing, realizing all along that it is a lesson in futility... nonetheless, it's part of how I cope ;) )

So here we go again... and I HONESTLY, don't know what I would have done without the support of the caring people on this website... Such a blessing. So... I hope you'll let me join your little group, even though I have to admit up front, I may be a little hit or miss since the little guy keeps me pretty busy... :)

And... here's a big ol'

Happy New Year everyone! I hope this year will bring all of you lots of baby luck!

So AF came on Wednesday along with the worst cramps I have ever had! My first appointment is next wednesday. Does that seem like a long time to wait? I thought for some reason you were supposed to go in like day 3 of your cycle?!?

moorebaby- I was reading your postabout your SIL- It drives me crazy when people complain about having to stay home b/c of their kids or they get aggrivated over silly things. I always think the same thing, "If I could just have one happy, healthy baby, my life would be complete! I would stay home every day and wouldn't even care!!! i think some people just don't understand the frustration someone goes through when they are dealing with infertility.

lou71- I loved your math skills!! Those odds are great!

This month is my first round of IVF. I am doing this long distance. We have a morphology/motility issue and will be doing ICSI. My friend tipped me off to this site. She went through IVF and is currently pregnant. I hope that the rest of us will be able to say that soon.

hello ladies, HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010.. sorry for MIA for days. I was first busy with DH on after christmas sale. We then were ready to go to the egg donor agency to seal the deal on the 30th. I guess I have to give an update in this thread. Night before surprisingly I received the private message from this forum to find out that it's a gal answering my egg donor post. After reading the post, I was shocked and couldn't sleep for the night. on one hand, I's thinking why the gal has a lot of physical similarities but why she came in the night before sealing the deal next day while I posted on the forum for weeks. On the other hand, she's first time donor and without an agency belonged to, we don't know what we have to do and she's first time too and we don't know how fertile she is. Of course, even the repeated donor can bring me BFN just like last time. My DH told me to email her list of standard questions from agency and asked her photos to see how she replied. Since I couldn't sleep, I woke up at 5am and checked email. I didn't see her reply. I told myself even though there's a sign but the timing is not right. I received the email night before and had to drive 50miles to the agency and arrived there in the afternoon the following day. I made up my mind and knew that the timing was not right and went back to bed to sleep more and ready for the drive. I woke up around noon and again, checked the email. I received her email with photos and answers from the gal. I was shocked when I found out more similarities, the number of siblings and their sex. My DH heard all the coincident similarities that she has but didn't say a word. Until she sent me another email telling me that she has my blood type A+, my response was 'wow'. We have given up on looking for the same blood type for long because we know it's so hard. Luckily, my DH has blood type B and so we can have any donor with any blood type. After DH hearing what blood type she has with all he said the 'coincident' similarities even though I know it's a sign, DH suggested that we could go for this donor. By taking the risk, we don't have to pay agency fee but we have a consequence of losing the agency's proven donor. I then emailed to the agency to cancel and postpone the meeting because we were so happy to hear something too good to be true but we're also concerned why was that so many similarities? We just play safe and try to see if the donor can be on hold. My DH told me that we could try but if the agent didn't want to, we would just let go. We emailed with the gal quite a bit in these 2 days. The more we know each other, the more we reassure each side that we are a good match. Now, I'm just concern if she'll change her mind since she's only 23 and very active. Also, I'm concern if RE would approve her. Her AF will come in mid January. I guess anytime when anything has Yes or No answer, I will become a worrier. I'm glad to be hear and not feeling alone.

HopeR Good luck to your IVF.

We have given up on looking for the same blood type for long or any physical similarities because we know it's so hard to find a pure Chinese donor. Luckily, my DH has blood type B and so we can have any donor with any blood type. But still, it's so hard to differentiate who's a right one or a better one.

After DH hearing what blood type she has with all he said the 'coincident' similarities even though I know it's a sign, DH suggested that we could go for this donor. I then emailed to the agency to cancel and postpone the meeting because we were so happy to hear something too good to be true but we're also concerned why was that so good to be true can happen on us after searching for tons of agencies and REs' egg donor programs? We just play safe and try to see if the donor can be on hold. My DH told me that we could try but if the agent didn't want to, we would just let go. Katie: I wrote to you on the other thread. New Year's Eve is my b-day. I like to celebrate b-day for everyone around me since I's young. I had flowers (I like flowers and told my DH), movie, teppan dinner, and headed down to downtown for dessert. But the cake shop was closed even downtown was so crowded last night. We finally headed back home and watched the CNN, then NBC new year's eve show to watch the count down. I usually sleep after 1am, sometimes 2 or 3am. I know I should start going to bed earlier. I just like to watch the late night show or HGTV show. I slept til noon today.

positivethinking - Welcome!!!

hoper - Welcome!! How far away is your RE?

hope - Welcome to the board!!! Sounds like you're a pro. Let's get this party started!! LOVE the baby dust bucket. Bring it on!

katie - It's definitely our time!!! AF arriving early means that my FET will be earlier, maybe even by the end of January. Whew-hew!!!!!

AFM - one of the nurses from RE's office called last night. Apparently, I did leave a partial message on the office answering machine, and she called to find out what I needed. VERY happy with RE's office. Anyway, I go in Monday morning for stick and stir (b/w and u/s). I'm excited to find out how this FET process works. And no headache today. Whew!

Goodness! I cannot keep up with you ladies. I am going to try and do personals but I am sure I am going to miss like 80% of you. Sorry!

misocial-Don't worry the nerves are completely normal. I have found that reading these forums and IVF blogs helps. It just serves to remind me that I am not alone.

Lou71-I loved the odds. Those odds are scary and exciting at the same time. I wish I could do math like that, but my math skills are sorely lacking. :)

BabyHopes-Yay for stimming, but Boo for bloating. I am not looking forward to the side effects from all the meds. I am just starting to get my vision back to normal from the clomid. Can't wait to see what these new meds do to me.

Gi-14 DIFFERENT meds and infusions. You are a tough cookie. I am glad they found the problem though and are being proactive. Once you get your miracle this will all seem like a dream.

Hope644-Welcome!

Dodo-The new donor sounds incredible. I really hope everything works out with her. Does she have her own children already?

Positivethinking-Welcome

DandMe-It looks like you will be about a week ahead of me. Oh how I hope this works for us!

I am sorry! I can't remember anymore right now. I will try to keep up with us more.

I go on Tuesday for my first IVF acupuncture treatment and then on Wed to get my calender. I am so nervous, but very excited as well. I feel a little left behind on this thread, you all seem to be so far ahead of me, but hey at least when I have questions you will all have been through it already!!

Here's to BFP's all the way around for 2010!!

Happy New Year, everyone! I'm glad to be done traveling and we just got rid of our New Year's guests, so I'm looking forward to some quiet time.

OK - let me try to catch up, but I know I won't get to everyone.

Katie - you're doing such a good job keeping track of us!

Jenice and Lou- I loved the FET too. And the meds were even covered by my insurance, unlike all the stims. I'm not looking forward to the big drug bill next week. I've got to put them all on my credit card, and then wait for my tax return.

rlk - I would go crazy with a 15 day wait for my beta! Are you up in Northern VA? I'm down in central VA (aka "the real South").

Welcome positivethinking, misocial, hope644 and HopeR! HopeR - we also have a morphology problem.

Gi - It sounds like you are doing battle with your killer cells! I'm rooting for you!

D&M - I agree that a week is a long time. Are you on BCP or Lupron (for suppression)? If so, that makes sense, but if you're not, I would assume you'd be starting to ovulate already by then.

Dodo - my fingers are crossed for you and this donor!

AFM - one of my goals this time is not to lose track of everything else in my life while I do this cycle! I've put on 15 pounds over this last year, and I'm in terrible shape. So I started running again, and I'm hoping to keep that up (though I know I will have to stop for the 10 days after my ET). Anyone else who has good tips for remaining sane during this process, bring them on!
