Wow, I really let this thread go! I need to revive it for the upcoming bachelor , biggest loser and american idol!

So finales-

Biggest loser- Incredible! They all lost soooo much and look fantastic. The pink girl who was not in the finale looked so different, but you can tell her confidence was through the roof, she won the at home prize. And I knew that guy was going to propose, what a nice story that was. I say congrats to them all and next season looks even crazier. They are advertising twins who weigh almost 1000 lbs, and the highest start weight ever of about 550llbs! That is insane.

Amazing race- I am glad the brothers did not win, and the ones who won deserved it. They stayed calm and worked well together the whole time. I was surprised that the miss america girl got so nasty with her husband in that last episode.

Survivor- I was so happy Russell lost. I understand he played well, but I agree with what others said about not rewarding that kind of behavior. There are ways to get to the top without being mean and nasty. He said he is not like that in real life, but I don't buy it. You don't burn someone's socks if you are not that kind of person. And then he tried to buy the title of sole survivor...sorry russ, money can't buy everything. But I am sure he will have another chance on next season as a villain.

Ok, so looking forward most to the bachelor. I know some people thought jake was a goober, but I liked him. Hope you guys are still with me!

Amazing Race: I couldn't agree more: so glad Megan and Cheyne (SP?) were the winners. Of the final 3 I thought they deserved it most. I couldn't stand the brothers with all the yelling, whining and what-not. Could you imagine asking Wayne Newton, "Who are you?" I could not believe how much Erika was freaking out on her husband. She clearly does not stay calm in a stressful situation! I would have thought that competing in Miss America would give her a leg up on staying calm, but I guess this was just too much for her.

Survivor: I was rooting for Russell by the end. I hated him to begin with, as I always hate the villain types. But they usually end up doing better than I think they should. This season, the jury actually voted how I have always thought it should be. DH finally convinced me that the villain's way of play is just play, But now I'm not so sure. I could never treat people that way and be okay with it. I couldn't tell myself, "it's just a game". I also have a hard time believing that Russell isn't that way in his normal life. He may not go around burning people's socks, but I am sure he is perfectly okay with trampling on others for his own gain. Interesting that he was on the brink of tears, though! Although my DH did not agree, I thought that Natalie was a deserving winner. I thought she did well in many competitions and did so much better than you would have thought from the beginning. She was so tiny but she never gave up. When she killed and ate that rat - wow!

I was not following the biggest loser. Tuesday night was my night off of TV!

I will likely follow just the bachelor next season. I think my DH might even watch once in a while, too.

Do you know if Big Brother is back to it's summer only schedule? I am assuming they only did a mid-season show last year because of the writers strike. I kinda liked having an extra dose of BB, so I wish they would do that again!

I agree, Natalie was a deserving winner. I know people will say she rode russells coat tails, but that is a fair strategy, staying under the radar. And yes, she did well in many challenges. I think it was her that I was super shocked at when she drank that gross stuff and she killed that rat for food. She deserved it.

Haha, I forgot about the brothers not knowing who wayne newton was...they were so annoying.

I do think big brother is mostly just a summer show now. I wish they had a second season too.

Well, I will look forward to chatting it up about the bachelor, that is my favorite show. It is the reason I started this thread in the first place.

Okay, gotta be the bad guy but I was so upset when Russel did not win Survivor. Like everyone else, I could not stand him from the beginning. I wanted him voted off every week. However, he played a better game than I have ever seen in the 19 seasons of this show. I even believe he played better than Richard Hatch. I felt bad for him because even though he was "evil" he got everyone to where they were. I must say I was shocked at Natalie. I thought it would be between Mick and Russel. Didn't dream Natalie would have a chance. However, as someone pointed out to me, she made friends with just about everyone. She was very likeable.
I felt bad for Russell at the finale. He was pissed....and I believe he had a right to be:(
Russel is on the next season as a villian. I don't think he will go very far though. Can't wait to see.
I was shocked to see that they put Rupert on as a villian. I guess I didn't view him that way.

Amazing RAce-----I wanted the Miss America team to win. There was just something about them that I really liked. Don't ask me what. Her husband was a super sweet man.

Biggest Loser- THey were all amazing. I wish I could say it gave me the drive to start losing weight. Maybe after the first of the year. I can't believe they are starting another season in just a little over a week. I think that is my favorite reality show.

Can't wait to see BAchelor start. Let me know when it begins. While I loved Jake, I don't think he will propose to anyone.
does anyone know how Jillian and Ed are doing? Last I heard they were living together in Chicago (I think).

AFM-----went to fertility clinic on the 23rd. Just waiting to hear if we are good candidates. It amazes me how different some clinics are. This clinic is NOT leaving any stone unturned. WE won't actually start our journey until June....but there are tons of tests and what not that I have to do before then. YIKES!!!

I can kinda see where you are coming from with Russell. He did play very well, I just don't like the meaness. I am shocked to hear rupert is a villain. I also did not view him as a villain. I will have to go to the website and check out who else is on it.

I also liked the miss america team, the husband was super sweet even though she a bit moody at times.

The bachelor starts Jan 4...so soon, I can't wait! I, on the other hand, think Jake will definitely propose. I think he is soooo ready to be in love that he was willing to be with anyone, including jillian. I think he wants the fairy tale, just seems like the kind of guy he is.

I am excited about the new biggest loser too. I also wish I was inspired. I kind of am. I am at one of my highest weights, and I am so frustrated with clothes and shopping and how I look in pictures with my beautiful little girl. I have lost it once before, I can do it again. Maybe we can do it together!

I was thinking the same thing about Jake. He is so cautious and analytical that I can't imagine him having the guts to propose to someone. But I'm hoping he is able to find happiness - and I'm thankful we get to watch it all unfold! Reality shows are my guilty pleasure!!

I am from Jillian's 'hometown' of Vancouver. The last I heard about her and Ed was on a radio interview when they were in town visiting her family. I think it was in the fall but it may have been as far back as September. They said they were living in Chicago. I couldn't say if that is still up to date or not, though. I am guessing that we'll get an update at some point during the new Bachelor season. I can't wait!!

hr - you're not the bad guy. Lot's of people felt that way about Russell. And besides, if you're from Texas, and he's from Texas, then you have to root for him - even if you hated him from the beginning! We would never begrudge you your state pride!!

Is there info about the next survivor online? I haven't looked, but I would like to see who will be on it. I'm kinda surprised about Rupert as a villain, too. I know he stole people's shoes and all, but he was just acting like a pirate! He was such a likable guy that I don't think of him as a bad guy.

When does the next Survivor start again?

hr - glad you got to get started at the new clinic. Is that the crazy expensive one? I'm glad they are so thorough with their testing. You can get started in June knowing that they know exactly what will be the best path for you. Yeah!

Michele - I am not on facebook, sorry! My friends are all annoyed at me that I refuse to conform, but I just don't feel right sharing all of my life with the rest of the world! I'm a private person that way. It's amazing that I share as much as I do on these boards!

Our Christmas was great - we found out the gender of the baby and then surprised all of our family by telling them it's a boy. Before that we had told them we weren't finding out so they were all truly surprised!

HR- I have never heard that officially, but I kind of assumed it. I would not be surprised if it were true. I also think Jillian is gay as well. I heard that somewhere.

And, I tried to look up the cast of the new survivor, and I saw some possible leaked lists, and every one I saw listed rupert as a hero, not a villain. But nothing official, we will have to wait and see. It starts feb 11.

Totally agree with what you said about Russell. It is refreshing to see a jury that chose NOT to reward his behavior. Also, I saw an early Survivor interview where Russell actually said that he IS like that in real life. He actually said that he controls everyone in Survivor, just like he controls his whole family... in his real life. Eeew! It was also so sad and pathetic how he was close to tears at the reunion show. What a sorry man!

Did you guys see the advertisements for the Bachelor? Looks like it is already starting off with a scandal! It looks like one of the girls was having an affair with a crew member. Should be interesting right from the start. Just 3 more days! I am excited.

Wow HR, I have been seeing ads on tv for a month now! Definitely set the dvr...it's gonna be an exciting season.

I am also going to be watching UK celebrity big brother. That starts tonight. In case any of my uk friends want to join in on the discussions. Of course, I will always be about 8hrs behind, due to time difference and downloading time.

Okay last night was really awesome. AND I love all the previews they showed. Now I know they always make the previews seem more exciting than what they really are but.....
HOWEVER....why do they always have to keep one crazy person? I can't say that I have a favorite yet. There were some very pretty girls, and then there were some very interesting girls. I did think it odd the number of swimsuit models there were. Jake says he is not into looks but.......

Hi ladies! So excited to be chatting with all of you again!!!

So, The Bachelor... there are several crazies in the bunch and some seem really sincere. I was totally shocked that he kept the emotional/extra crazy girl... but part of me thinks that ABC has a hand in things to keep the drama going. I thought it was interesting they had Ed and Jillian back to help weed through the women. I think ABC is really trying hard to make the impression that relationships from these shows can work. However, I heard that Ed and Jillian were going to make a "big announcement" - but I don't remember hearing anything, do any of you??

Can't wait for the Biggest Loser. I love that show! I did hear that both Bob and Jillian are gay. I can't say that it totally surprised me but I do think it's great that they have both managed to keep their private lives extremely guarded, given how the media is with any type of celebrity.

I am so glad the Bachelor is back on!

HR- I did not hear any big announcement either, and I totally think they were there b/c abc is getting heat about none of the relationships working out. By the way, I hated Jillians dress.

I was surprised he kept some of the crazies. Especially the emotional wreck Michelle (she is giving us Michele's a bad name!) She needs to go fast. There were a few girls I really liked. The one in the red dress, I think her name was elizabeth, she brought the football with her, she seemed really nice. I also liked Ali, the blonde who doesn't like to fly. I am not sure about Tenley (the one who is divorced and has only been with one guy), she seems nice and like she might be a good match for jake. I did not like Ella, the one with a 7/8 yr old boy at home, she is too aggresive for him. And I think the one that is having an affair with someone is going to be that model rosalyn. I could tell when she was saying that she wants a relationship, but she's not desperate. She just doesn't seem like she is ready for something serious, so I bet she is the one hooking up with the crew. I think we will see some of that next week.

I taped the biggest loser, I hope to watch it tonight.

Big brother uk- I was dissappointed that mc hammer and pam anderson were not on it, they were rumored to be house guests. Stephen Baldwin is always fun to watch. Sisqo will drive me nuts, he is too full of himself. I think that page 3 model, nochola, seems like a sweetheart. Should be a fun season, I am a day behind, will hopefully watch last nights episode today as well.
