Jeez louise - you are some typing females! Thats a good thing - the threads always pick up when everyone is moving along in their cycles!
OK, so my med order came out to less than 300 dollars! :D Now thats mostly because I had SO much leftover meds from being cancelled last month - but also because with this IVM they will only stim me for 5 days. I couldnt believe it! Every cycle so far all of the bravelle, menopur and ganirelix has come out to 4k+ So Yipppeeee!!!! Now of course this happens on the same day that we had to have a plumber and a septic company come out - so much for saving some $

Sara -Dying to hear how your appt went today! Hope everything is a go!

Beth -How was baseline? When will you start stims?

J&C- Did you get your schedule yet?

Hope -ACK!! I hate when the website eats your post! Too frustrating! And why does that only happen when it was a long one?
Sorry to hear about your sinus infection - they are so awful - hope you feel better soon! Doing the hurry up AF dance for you!

Samgarkay -Welcome! Sorry to hear about your Mom - now you have an angel helping you from Heaven. Good luck to you!

Dodo -YAY for the 18th! I'll keep my fingers crossed that her AF is on time and that your RE approves her. I've got a good feeling about this one! :D

Ronda -Wow! That really did go by quick! You;re almost ready to go!

Misocial - (Let it Flow...) Tee hee! I'll start the AF stomp for you too! We need the big boots for that one!

Babyhopes -Hee hee - you just click on the smiley that you want
So glad to hear that you're stimming is going well! Soon it'll be only sweats or stretchy pants that are comfortable - hate that part! I cant believe that your ER will be next week already!

OK have to go calm down DH since now it was a big pumber's bill and I think the septic guy's bill will send him into overload - and yes, this is the same bathroom that he tried to fix himself last month! Men!

Hello Ladies!

Sorry to make this short, but I am so busy at work today. I hate it when they actually make me work!

So, I went to RE today expecting BW & US just to find out it was only BW. And instead of all of my appointments this week there will only be today, Thursday and Sunday! She said the changed it recently? Now I'm still waiting on my results at 4:00.

Also, I started my Follistim on Saturday and at 150 per dose. My 300 cartridge should've been empty...or so I thought last night. So, I loaded another 50 and took it & then ANOTHER 50!! When I asked her today she laughed & said she meant to tell me they are over-filled. Come on, lady! If she ever calls me with my results, we will see if I messed myself up.

Ok, promise to do some personals ASAP!

rlk - I'm definitely a Yankee myself - I only moved here a couple of years ago!

misocial - I definitely get the crying thing - usually about halfway through stims. Sometimes I think it's not the hormones so much as all the built up stress!

lou - All my fingers are crossed for you and your frostie!

katie - Don't worry, I will be a good girl, and wait until the cycle is over to do anything.

karenthescorpio and dodo- I think I will follow your walking idea. More than anything I think I just need that half hour with my ipod to destress. And, karen, I'm still learning to be a southern girl - I grew up a midwestern one, but it's been an easy transition. I lived in NYC for a few years too - loved it, but couldn't afford it!

Hope644 - I hear you about the HPT. I think we just need to do what we need to do. My first cycle I took one the day before my beta, and that prepared me for my BFN. My second cycle, I didn't take one, and I was glad because I would have seen that positive before learning that my beta was only 29. My third time, FET, I tested a couple days before (knowing that a positive is not always a positive) and got a negative, so I was prepared for either a BFN or the low beta (which I got again). I have NO idea what I'll do this time, maybe i'll poas everyday from now until then!

It sounds like a lot of us are about to start stims! I had my baseline today - everything looks good. I take my last BCP tomorrow, and then Saturday I start Follistim and Menopur.

WOW...just got my E2 results. Should be around 200-300 at this point and I'm at 728!!! Guess that extra Follistim really worked. They just cut my does in half (down to 75) for the next 3 days and we'll see what's happening Thursday with my US & BW. Anyone else had this happen? What if it stays high? What a mess!

hi everyone!! :D

so i am home and trying to get back into the swing of things back in the real world. still unpacking, and cleaning the snow off of everything. you girls all typed a boat load while i was gone its going to take me awhile to get back on track with everyone. i feel far behind, but i will try to get to know everyone.

katie wooohooo on your cheapo baby in a box!!! yay yay yay! thats great news! :D
but booooo on plumbers and such....atleast its a monday and not a weekend or holiday, but still....ouch!
how was your new years? me and barry went out to this bbq and brew lodge out in the middle of nowhere with my brother and a bunch of old friends. there was a bluegrass band playing that were really good. the food was much better then fridays
so what are you doing now that you are off the BCP's? med free?? i miss you :)

claud how are you? anything new? thinking of you always :D

dodo happy birthday!!!! (afew days late!) i hope everything gets approved for your donor soon! its so crazy how things change so quickly isnt it? i think its fate and a really good sign. sometimes its good to just follow your gut and know that you are making the right choice!

J&C how did the SnS go today? oh and i saw avatar the weekend it came out, and we did the whole 3d IMAX experience and it was really cool. i liked it alot. the plot is kinda obvious, but it was ok because it gave you more time to pay attention to the world that james cameron created. if you go you have to do it the right way...this is coming from a girl who only usually pays 7 bucks for a movie...trust me the extra $$ is worth it. i left the theatre wanting a tail!! haha

lou wow i cant believe your FET is wednesday!!! wooohooo!! it looks like you will be our first BFP on this board!!! i am crossing everything for you!

jaydent when do you start lupron? i am sooooo glad i dont have any lupron on this cycle!! that stuff hates me and i hate it!

afm well i am stumped again. after my cycle was canceled in nov. i got AF a week early so i was freaking out that she would come this month while i was away. i prayed and prayed she wouldnt show up until i got home....well now i am home...so where is that evil witch? i have no idea...she's 2 days late, and i have to wait for her so i can go for my first stick and stir on day 2. WTH?? its so confusing. until all this IVF stuff i could pinpoint her to the hour, and now who the heck knows. sooooo everyone who was sending me no AF while i was on vaca can you please send AF get here ASAP vibes??
it was nice not to think about IVF so much while i was away. the lack of stress was a new feeling for me. i'm going back to my weekly acupuncture on thursday, and i'm excited to get back to it after skipping 2 weeks. i also went to NYC for a few days and ended up going to this really cool tea store in chelsea and got myself some fertility tea. it tastes great and since i am a tea drinker during the winter...might as well right?

so heres a fun story. DH and i went to get some pics printed from our trip to give to my parents, and the people in front of us were getting ultrasound pictures made, and the people behind us were getting wedding pics made....i looked at DH and said..here we are in the middle....already past the honeymoon phase of our marriage, and not yet pregnant....just stuck! we just rolled our eyes at all the happiness around us and printed our pics of us DRINKING!!! hahaha oh well....

to everyone i missed i am sorry...i am so far behind! i am thinking of you all and sending you all the best of luck!

Ok. So today was my teaching class, and wow!!! I knew it was a lot of medicines and a lot of shots but again...WOW! 4 shots a day?!?! I am in the health care field so I can keep up with everything well, and I am not afraid of needles. Giving myself a shot will be no big deal, but geez...my tummy only has so much space! I didn't know that I would be taking a low dose hcG the whole time, plus steroids!!! I hate steriods because I always get the "flush"! Ok...just needed to vent a little. That all being said it will be worth it for a BFP, but all you ladies who have done this more than once....my hats off to you! I can't imagine doing this over and over and getting a BFN each time. Anyways, I am on target to stop my BCP tomorrow and then I go in for a US and Bloodwork on the 6th. I get all my meds that day, and then start the Gonal-F and hcG on the 9th. Woohoo. So thats my update. It went well but was just shocked by the amounts of medications. Good luck to everyone!

Hi girls -

So when it rains it pours! Seems like what I thought was a clogged toilet is actually a broken pipe that leads to the septic tank! ACK!! So both plumber and septic guy will come back tomorrow to dig up half of the lawn because they cant seem to locate the tank - then dig up these pipes and put new ones in. UMMM... isnt the ground frozen? I mean its been in the single digits for a week now. I'm so not looking forward to this.
This will be a scary bill.

Lou -OMG! you'll be PUPO tomorrow!!!! :D I forget from last time - did you have to do any bed rest or not? SO MUCH LUCK TO YOU!!!!!

Franny -YAY you're back! Missed you too! Ooohh I love Bluegrass!
I'm so glad that you had a good vaca! Yeah, friday's was pretty blah food - but the company was great! Wait so first we all did the no AF dance
Now you want AF - so umm... do we just dance backwards now? he he
I'll get right on the hurry up AF STOMP! for you too! Yes, done with bcps after only 10 days weird, huh? But am on estrace 3x day from 12/27 until beta (hopefully) which will be in mid feb - hey, thats a lot of estrogen. Its kind of driving me crazy how with a normal ivf schedule - I've corrected the nurse at times - now with this ivm/ivf - I'm lost! I've just decided to go with it and pray for the best - what else can we do? Make sure to sleep in anything white and expensive - that should guarantee your AF showing up, it never fails! - big hugs to you and DH - xoxo

Riley -its still early in your stimming - theres still time to adjust you and slow you down a little.
Hope that your next u/s & b/w has your E2 slowed up a bit!

Beth -I SO hope that this is your time! You've had a rough year with this also - Yes, I would have worried about you running. I'm so happy that your baseline went well - here we go!

Samgarkay - Dont worry you will always find some more room for more injections. i try to do the AM on the left side and PM on the right, so that each site gets a 24hr rest. What part of health care are you in? I'm a nurse also - at least I was before I got sucked into the world of infertility
Yes, isnt it amazing to see how many meds will go into your body in just 1 cycle? I hope its the only one that you have to go through! Good luck!

Sorry if I missed anyone - you're all in my prayers - xoxo

hello ladies, how's everyone doing. I'm dealing with another problems. DH wanted me to email the clinic to ask about the details of the donor need to do since this time no agency takes care for us and we save the agency fee. We will do everything for our donor. The clinic came back to us and asked us if we wanted the donor to have the health exam alone which is lining check and AFC, or if we wanted to order the pre-cycle testing and genetic testing for the donor together on her first day appointment. I told my DH and we both stuck. Everytime when they gave us a choice, we'll be stuck because we don't know what they are. We emailed back and forth to find out what is pre-cycle test. The pre-cycle testing is a bunch of blood test about HIV and HEP and miscellaneous tests. The same testing also require to take the second time within 30 days of the egg retrieval by the FDA. Because it's required by FDA, the b/w can only be brought to the FDA standard lab and charge $835. The pre-cycle screening test is the same thing but taken before so that to let the RE decide whether the donor is a good candidate. And this one doesn't need to go to the FDA standard lab but still cost $635. The genetic testing will be $250. Since all are that expensive, we'd rather pay for the health exam on her day3 first which cost $250 including lining check and AFC only, we would like to request FSH test as well and don't know how much will it cost. We think if donor can get through these 3 things, it won't be too late to do other test. Afterall, the other tests are too expensive. We learn new thing every day.

Katie: sorry for the pouring rains. I saw the weather broadcast that it's worst in some area. hope your plumber guys can finish fixing tomorrow and ease you and your DH's life. you're so funny talking about the meds bill and the plumber bill. fingers crossing for you that this time will work.

samgarkay: cannot believe so many shots you have to take. crossing fingers for your BFP.

claude662: We tried to see Avatar twice but were sold out. We hope we have the luck next time.

Franny: praying for your AF arrive ASAP. like your pictures printing story.

baby hopes: thanks for supporting my 'sign' story. Sorry to hear about the constant ache. I know it's annoying whenever the pain is constant.

Hi all!

So....I have a bad feeling about this attempt. I am day 7 today and STILL have AF. This is despite TWO injections of Estrogen---which is supposed build my lining and here I am shedding it. I called the nurse and she said if I still have AF by Thursday I need to come in. I have a bad, bad, bad feeling about this. My PMA is totally shot.

Okay, enough of my whining...

Arabsrcool: Let us know how the appt goes today! Did you decide how many to transfer?

misocial: Any sign of AF?

baby hopes: Not sure I'm doing the chant correctly, since I still have AF. Hmmm....I going to have to make DH do the chant too....maybe that will help! Hope the swollen feeling subsides soon---how are you feeling today? Let us know how the SnS goes tomorrow!

katie99: UGH!! Plumbing and septic problems---what a mess (I'm sure literally and figuratively!). How is the estrace treating you? I feel REALLY tired ever since we started the IM injections of Estrogen.

Riley baby maybe: I think they worry about OHSS if your Estrogen stays high--but I'm not sure. Let us know how things go on Thursday!

beth84: YAY for your last BCP! Glad to hear your baseline appt went well and you're moving forward!

turtle0619: Glad you had a nice, relaxing trip away from the madness! It's true, AF can be such an evil witch! It NEVER seems to do what we want it to when we want it to---you want yours to come, I want mine to stop. Why, oh why, must it torture us like this?

claud662: Good luck on Friday!

samgarkay: 4 shots?!? Here I am whining about 1 shot. I think gi has to do 14 shots. I need to STOP complaining!

jaydentd: You start on Monday? I think I missed that in one of your posts! Let the stimming fun begin!!

Lou71: GOOD LUCK TOMORROW!!!! I'm thinking of you, girl. As far as your Beta test, is there any way you could take a personal/"sick" day on the 15th? That way, if the news is good (which it WILL be), you can celebrate and if it's not what you hope for, you can pamper yourself? I'm sure it's not easy to take days off of work, but it's just a thought!

dodo928: Wow, so many things to consider. It sounds like you've worked out which tests you want done and when---that's got to be some relief. Let us know how things proceed.

Four shots! Oh wow.... I thought two was bad. You'll be like a little pincushion before a week is gone. I sometimes found that having a hot bath before my shots made any irritation fade. Your US and bloodwork is on the 6th, good luck! I am a week behind you - I start meds on the 15th.
Good luck and keep your chin up with all those needles.

rlk1-don't get down about AF still being here....I'm a constant spotter so they are always having me come in to check lining and bloodwork-but still keep your head up!!! You are still in the begining process and have a lot of time to build back up that lining!! GO AWAY AF!!

arabsrcool-GL today!!! I also have the question of how many to put back!! I want to do 3 but I think my RE will only let me do 2 since I'm still pretty young and still not considered high risk just yet!

Riley Baby Maybe-don't stress about making your stims less....my E2 levels were close to 3000 by the time of retrieval so I'm sure they just want you to coast for a few days and then check the size of your follies and adjust your meds accordingly :P

Katie-sorry that your pipes are acting up right around the time of your IVM schedule!! Seems like we can never catch a break!! How is it being BCP free??? Did you get your AF again?

babyhopes-I was soooo bloated by the end of my stimming that I looked 4 months preggers!! I could barely sit down to pee!!! Just try and take in stride and it's a great excuse to get DH to wait on you!!!!

Lou-YAHHHH for almost being PUPO!!!! I am sooo excited for you and DH and can't wait to hear how snowbaby did

dodo-good luck making the decision for the donor bloodwork. I know these are such hard decisions but I hope this all works out for you!

Beth-YAH for baseline being good!!! Let us know what type of excercise you decide on!!! I would love some new ideas although this cycle will be a lot easier since I won't be stimming and can keep up with my workout classes until being PUPO!

samgarkay-sorry hon for having to do so many shots....I always just look for the area that doesn't have a bruise mark and go for it!! It's amazing what we will got through to get that end result but the 9th will be here before you know it and the ER will be just around the corner

jaydent-less than 1 week until you begin this crazy journey!!!

Keep up the PMA ladies and I look forward to hearing all of your updates!!!

Hi rlk.... I am keeping everything X'd for you... I'm new so learning - can't they just delay your cycle until you stop AF and begin to build the lining? What's PMA? I hope things work out...

Me again!

So....I'm a total freak...I begged the nurse to see me tomorrow since AF is still so heavy. Wish me luck!

claud662: Thanks so much for your encouragement! I guess I'm just worried because AF is still really heavy. ARGH! But, you're right, I need to stop FREAKING out and take things one day at a time. Patience has never come easily to me!

DandMe: While I'm an "IVF-old-timer", this is my first FET. I'm not sure what to expect either! I guess they could just move my FET date if my lining is not cooperating, but they made such a stink about potentially canceling me if the transfer had to be pushed to the weekend. Who knows! How are things with you? Oh, and PMA stands for "Positive Mental Attitude"!

Bye for now! I hope everyone's doing well!
