rlk1 LOL I even googled PMA and found it all over but no description fof what it meant.

I have heard a ton of success stories about FET. I guess you never know which ones are 'takers' and which ones aren't... How many FE do you have?

Isn't your clinic open on weekends? I know mine always is, although some of the labs are closed down. I don't know if they do an actual trasnfer on the weekend, but I know they do monitoring, etc. I know it's a lot, and the doctors don't owe their lives to us by any means, but I think that in some cases they should be 'on call' rather than make a woman wait an entire cycle because they can't get to the clinic on a saturday. I know that's a double edged sword... when do they draw the line? But still... hopefully things work out perfectly for you![/b]

SPOTS I SEE SPOTS.....BRING ON THE FLOOD.....
I usually start AF on the 4th or so anyway so stopping BCP on the 4th was good now I am spotting. Do I wait until full on AF to call, or do I let them know I am spotting now? My first stick and stir is on Friday ( still laughing over this thanks J&C) Supposed to start Follistim and Menopur on Sat. Did manage to get my RE to ok progesteren suppositories instead of shots..YEA..... I am such a wuss about shots. Can someone tell me exactly what they are looking for or at with this first round of US while AF is here? I am thinking bloody mess right before work oh goody. Also have been very snappy this am, usually a sappy but now snappy.
I have put myself in time out 3 times and it's only 10:36 UUUGGGGHHH this is going to be a long day. Rambling, sorry.
To all my new found friends HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY may everything go your way today!!!

Hi girls! :D
Just got back from RE consult appt and baseline u/s. I LOVE MY RE!!!!!! He turns me into a bawling mess  because he is soooo nice!. I was telling him about our insurance issue (as in lack of) and told him we only had money for one FET. He said and what happens if you have embies left and its BFN. I started bawling and told him I really didn't know. He, bless him, told me if it didn't work the first time, he would do a second cycle "as close to free as I can make it". He didn't want the only reason we didn't go ahead and use the rest of the embies to be strictly financial. so basically he is giving me a 2fer. That really takes alot of the pressure off of me and I feel so much better. My next appt is on 1/15 for u/s, bloodwork and lining check. Estimate now for transfer is January 20 or 21. He was totally ok with transferring 3, didn't bat an eye. Looked at the cell #'s of frozen embies, have three 8 cell, 7 cell (2 embies), 6 cell(2 embies),5 cell (2 embies) to a 4 cell. Holy cow, I am on my way!

misocial,

My RE ofc always said call when AF hits full steam. Hurray for the suppositories instead of shots. That in itself is reason to celebrate!

rlk1,

Did AF go away yet????? Mine has slowed down and the estrace is giving me a killer headache everyday.

lou,

One more day. I am getting nervous for you!. let us know how it goes!

hi to all my cycle gals!! :D

arabsrcool wow that is awesome news!! it sounds like you have a very nice caring doctor. its going to be such a stress release just knowing you have a back up plan, but we all know you wont need it because its gonna stick the first time! its so great that you have so many good frosties to choose from! i hope you and DH are ready for TRIPLETS!!

misocial yay for seeing spots!! haha i also am seeing some spotting today! my RE says that cycle day one is considered a full flow before 3pm...well its 3pm right now so i am hoping i can call in the AM with my cycle day one report! GO AF GO!! haha

dandme hi hun! i saw your post about feeling overwhelmed and i just wanted you to know that i am here for you...we all are! you will start to figure everyone out. when i joined my first thread back in aug. i was a little confused and felt left out, but i just jumped right in, and now i feel like a pro! once you start stims this thread will make you feel sane, and us girls are here to support you! hope ya stick around! :D

rlk1 while i was away i was trying to teach my 2 and a half year old neice about patience haha i dont think i did a good job so i cant help you there haha. i usually have patience, but when it comes to IVF i'm freakin NUTS!! AF wont show up fast enough, then wont go away fast enough, the phone calls from RE about instrustions take FOREVER, my follies wont grow fast enough....ect ect...its all a waiting game and i suck at it. as for you AF i'm sure its going to be fine. last cycle they started me on stims before i even got AF. i was so confused because i was on stims for 3 days before AF, and then about 6 days during AF. i was worried how everything would work out, but the RE kept telling me it was fine and normal..whatever i dont know. just try to relax. i'll cross everything for you for tomorrow. how about you send that witch my way and you'll be all set!

claud ive never had a saline U/S...what is that and why do they do it? good luck on friday! are you really thinking of putting back 3? wow! you are brave! there is noway DH would agree to that even though at this point when i make it to ER this time, and we get some good embies i might feel like we should just put em all back and see what happens cause i'm getting sick of all this IVF stuff! haha

dodo holy cow about all the different tests and prices! ouch! i hope you can get it all figured out...i have a good feeling about this donor! is she in your area? my best friend said that if i needed to she would give me her eggs but she lives in michigan and i live in NH so i have no idea how that would ever work....i'm thinking of you always.

katie holy crap (no pun intended...well a little bit intended! ) i cant believe that is happening! how the hell are they going to dig up your yard? my parents had to have their yard dug up last spring cause their basement kept flooding, and they found a huge root growing into one of their pipes! they had to dig in about a million spots and left half their yard a complete mess. i also know how much this cost them, so i know you cant be too happy. are you able to still use your bathroom during this or do you have to go down to the outlets to go pee?? what a pain in the butt! i'm soooo sorry! i hope it gets fixed soon. i bet the doggies arent happy about having someone in their yard either. ugh!

jaydentd isnt it still crazy to you that we get so excited to be injecting ourselves with meds? seriously i still remember my first shot and how scared i was, and now i cant wait each cycle to get started again! each shot is a new hope for our dreams coming true! good luck my dear! :)

afm well it looks like i'm back to being my old typin fool self...i cant stop haha
so i went to the gym today for the first time of the year, and it felt great to be back. i love running on the eliptical machine...it lets me run away all of my stress. then when i got home i had to pee from drinking tons of water and when i wiped i saw some pink spotting! wooohoo it can only mean AF is on her way! hopefully tomorrow will be cycle day 1, and i can go for my first stick and stir of 2010 on thursday, and then go enjoy my acupuncture! keep the AF dancing and vibes coming my way...they seem to be working! :D

LOU: Just wanted to drop you a note the day before your big day. I am a TOTAL believer in FET. I would say that over half of the people on the Nov/Dec board that got BFP's got them with FETs. Just try to relax and enjoy being PUPO. I was just like you, totally not thinking it would work (was SHOCKED that little Hope even survived the thaw).

I KNOW I'm going to see you over in the September Mommies board in a very short time from now! Saying prayers for you!

Hi everyone, I'm still waiting for AF  I guess after the miscarriage it screwed up my cycle  I want to do another cycle right away just in case I'm a little extra fertile from bein previous preggo  I swear once your body figures out what to do, it works great. I was preggo 3x's in one year, unfortunately 2 of my pregnancies were ectopics  That did suck !!!! So, here I sit can't wait to have cramps. Ohhhhh, how life changes. Might call RE office tomorrow to update them since my body once AGAIN is not cooperating !!!!!!!

arabsrcool - Congrats on having an AWESOME RE. So happy for you. You got your 3 embies, YEAH !!!!!! I hope my RE does the same for me.

Gi - How are you doing these days.I heard you were going to be doing new meds ? I might have a blood clotting disorder. One of my labs came back abnormal, we'll see what they decide to do.

Thank you Franny. I'm thinking of you always too. I am crossing fingers for you that you will be BFP. Egg and sperm donation have been around for 20 years. As far as I know, there's no concern of how far the egg/sperm donor is away from you, they are mailed via air now. They can be away from you even crossing continents and oceans. That's what one of my RE told me before when he suggested me to use my sisters' eggs. They didn't know that my youngest sister is 34 which is over the range of the donor's ages (20-33). We also share the same genetic, Thalassemia. otherwise, RE told me that she could stay in her place and the eggs can be aired to my clinic here. It sounds so unbelievable but it's actually happening now.

jenice- i'm so sorry to hear about the ectopic pregnancies & the miscarriage. af for me is due sunday, & yes i know how you feel...i've never been more excited to get it...well except back in september when i did my 1st cycle. when was af supposed to show up you think?

gi- yay for no vomiting!

turtle0619/franny- woohoo for af being on her way! i hope you start your stims tomorrow. enjoy your acupuncture session tomorrow. by the way, i really enjoyed your story about being in line to get pictures printed. sending you af vibes. ooh the fertility tea sounds really nice. what is called?

arabsrcool/ronda- yay for an awesome re! that is great that he is willing to help you out financially, but guess what...you will have embies left, but you will have a bfp, not a bfn. you've got plenty of great frozen embies...you will be fine! january 20th/21st is right around the corner....you'll be pupo before you know it!

misocial- i was told to call when i have full flow. i will also be on follistim, but not on menopur. what's that for? i'm actually going to ask my re tomorrow about suppositories instead of pio shots. i heard that the suppositories put the progesterone directly into the uterus, so wouldn't that be better & more effective? oh yeah, & less painful, lol?

rlk1- all right girl...you better get your pma up & going or i'll be taking a little drive down to va to come find you & give you lots of hugs so you can get that pma! by the way, you are not a freak...i would've done the same thing...well then maybe we are both freaks, lol! maybe the estrogen needs to be increased. let us know how tomorrow's appointment goes. fingers are crossed for no cancellations.

dodo928- wow, lots of decisions! personally, i would do the pre-cycle screening, since that would give your re a good idea about whether she is a good candidate, but that's just me. you also have to consider the financial aspect. lots of luck with whatever choice you make. we are all here for you with whatever you need.

katie99- omg, how horrible about the plumbing issues. hope you can make the payment in increments.

jaydentd- yay for starting stims monday...less than a week! i think we'll be starting together....af is supposed to come sunday, so as soon as she does, i will be starting my follistim injections, woohoo! i'm aslo looking forward to all the pinches & needles, lol. we actually have similar stories, based on your signature. i also did ivf/icsi in septmeber, got a bfp, but miscarried. i'm assuming you didn't have any frozen embies, since you're doing a whole new cycle. at least that's what happened to me. oh yeah, the bloating...can't wait for that too.

samgarkay- 4 shots a day? what are your injections & for how long? glad that your teaching class went well.

claud622- what's your saline u/s for? avatar was amazing! alice in wonderland looks grea too. hopefully we'll be too sick from being preggo that we'll have to see it once it's on dvd, lol.

riley baby maybe- if i don't write tomorrow, lots of luck on thursday's appointment. let us know how it goes. hopefully the e2 levels have gone down.

lou71- tomorrow you'll be pupo & 15 days from then (that's when they'll do your beta right?) you'll be getting a bfp!!! lots of luck tomorrow...i'll be thinking of you.

afm, i have my follow-up/consultation appointment with re. we got a letter from the insurance company saying they need some sort of a clarification about the tesa procedure that dh may have. i called his doctor & left a message for the secretary. hopefully, i'll talk to her tomorrow & we'll be able to figure out if it'll be covered. besides that, nothing else going on. af is due sunday & then i start follistim.

keep up the pma ladies & lots of sticky bay dust to us all!

Moorebaby- I start lupron on the 11th not stim. I notice other people going straight to stim and now I'm wondering what's the difference. Did you get any testing after the miscarriage or are they doing anything different? I got some genetic testing and all came back good and now I'm waiting for dh results. I have to say I'm a little scare now, I don't want another miscarriage.

hello ladies, I just heard from another patient that she can just have one set of b/w for her donor instead of 2 if time is rushed. I don't know if it's because she had her donor done the first set of testing at her previous RE, that's why our clinic will tell her this. But I'm going to ask the coordinator that she asked to see if I can get the same answer. I also have to ask the patient advocate if I can get the clinic contract instead of paying attorney fees for our side and the donor side. Last thing, a patient reminds me to give a detailed description of the procedure to my donor so that she understands almost completely if not completely of what she is going to go through, so that she would not back out in the last minute know how many days she needs to have injections and meds in her body and how many meds and what kinds they are and their side effects. I know my donor is going back to school just yesterday for this trimester. I told her to read the info in the weekend if she's busy. I don't hear back from her. I bet she's really busy. It's her last class and last trimester. I'll just wait til weekend before communicating with her again.

rlk1: praying for you that the nurse will let you in tomorrow. sorry for the bleeding.

misocial: RE usually would like to wait until you have a flow. But I have one time that I'd never seen a flow for months but only spots or discharge or wipes and I then called in the reception to schedule an appointment for a lining check without asking them whether I should go or not. How long is you spottings since your last AF?

Arabsrcool: So happy for you to meet a good RE. I know how hard it is to find one. We had to go from one RE to another RE and until we come to the current RE, the third one before we can settle down. We're thinking to continue to try other RE after the last BFN cycle until my current clinic told us that they will only charge us a cycle fee with 70% off until I'm 12 weeks pregnant. We're shocked but we know this is our destination.

Franny: Congrats to the pink spot. crossing fingers AF will come tomorrow. YAY.

gi: I really feel that I'm a frying donor now. lol

jenice: Hope your AF come ASAP.

moorebaby: Thank you. The financial side really plays a heavy role. hope the insurance will cover. crossing fingers for you.

Oh boy - there is a lot to catch up with here. I won't even pretend to get everyone!

katie - So sorry to hear about your broken pipe - just what you need right now! Well at least your DH knows he can't fix this one, right?

rlk - I'll be hoping for the best for your appointment! Seems like lots of women bleed throughout this process, so don't panic yet.

lou71 - good luck! We're all there with you!

Jenice- After both of my chemicals, I got AF about a week late. After all the drugs we've been on, I guess i'm suprised I'm not more screwed up.

misocial - hooray for spotting! I hope you get the full on flood soon!

Arabsrcool - that is wonderful that you're getting a 2fer. But let's hope you don't need it!

gi - I like your idea. I think my exercise of choice for the next few weeks is going to be dancing for you ladies - AF dance, stop AF dance, grow follies dance, sticky dance...

jaydentd - there are a bunch of different protocols. For my first cycle, I was on lupron, then stims. For my second (and this one) I was on BCP then stims. I think the BC and the lupron do similar things - down-regulation. Don't be too scared right not - most patients with m/cs go on to have healthy pregnancies!

moorebaby - my RE says there is no evidence that PIO shots are better than suppositories. One difference is that the shots are easier to track in the bloodstream (whereas the suppositories just absorb right into the uterus) so sometimes the dr's like it better because it's easier to keep track of your progesterone levels. In my case, i had a bad reaction to the oil (huge red, hot welts, and so much pain) so I've just done suppositories since. Also, my insurance covers the suppositories but not the PIO.

moorebaby : In my case, I have severe side effects when using suppositories including pain on both legs. RE finally told me to stop taking it and increase the dose of PIO from 1unit to 1.5unit.

Hello Girlies!!! Boy this board is hopping. I love it!

hope - LOVE the pics and sparkles!!! Keep them coming!

turtle - I'm doing the AF dance for you!!!

rlk - Oh no - chin up!!!!! We don't have time, or energy for any negative nermals yet. Good for you for insisting that your clinic see you ASAP!!! We all worry so much about every detail. It's nice when you can make things happen when you need them too. PMA!!! Let us know how the appointment goes! :D

misocial - Glad the stick-n-stir makes you smile. I got that term from someone else on this board years ago. The baby-in-a-box was mine though. My best friend came up with that, and that one makes me smile every time too.

AFM - So at my stick-n-stir yesterday, when they did the ultrasound, I was watching the screen and saw this large "thing". It looked like a HUGE follicle, but it was a cyst. I thought cysts were rare, but apparently, it's part of everyone's normal cycle. Your ovary produces a follicle, which produces an egg. That follicle then becomes a large cyst, and when it realizes that you're not pregnant, it then retracts. So they then checked my bloodwork to make sure that the cyst wasn't producing estrogen. I got a call yesterday telling me that the cyst was not producing estrogen, so we can proceed forward. :D This morning, RE's office called. My next stick-n-stir is on Jan. 22, and if all is going well (the lining of my uterus is where it is suppose to be), then our FET will be on Jan 28.

I can't believe this is happening so fast!!! With IVF, I always had to stim much longer than everyone else, so this seems so quick for me. In fact, it almost seems like cheating compared to the whole IVF process. I started with vaginal estrogen 3x a day today (a very tiny little pill). I don't know how it could do anything, since it's so tiny, but I guess it's going to do something.

And thanks to everyone on the Avatar review. It sounds great! I'll definitely have to go see it. It's suppose to snow another 4"-6" tomorrow afternoon, so we're planning to stay in for a couple of days. I like cooler weather, but this is getting out of control!

Sticky baby dust to us all!
