katie thanks for updating the chart!! you rock!

i have to go back and read the book you all wrote since i posted yesterday so i promise when i'm caught up i'll do more personals!

afm so i had my stick-n-stir this morning, and the ultrasound tech said i had 6 follies over 10mm and she saw 5 more smaller ones under 10mm....i know that may not sound like a lot to some of you, but for me its pretty good...and only on day 5 of stims! i'm just praying everything stays on track!! so since they called my home phone yesterday i kept my cordless phone with me while i was running around cleaning the house, and left my cell phone downstairs charging in the kitchen...sooo of course while i was upstairs i didnt hear my cell go off, and when i got downstairs i had a missed call....of course!! haha i cant figure them out! so i got my new instructions from my voicemail again, and didnt get a chance to ask any questions...they have me upping my repronex to 225units starting tonight, and adding one vial of centrotide which is the antagonist. ivf never taken this before so i'm not sure what to expect. then they lowered my gonal-f starting tomorrow AM from 300 to 225 units. i go back wednesday morning for another SnS! does anyone know why they would raise my repronex dose and lower my gonal-f? i'm not sure what the difference is....
i go tomorrow for more acupunture! the place i go lets me stay as long as i want...they give me big cozy blankets, and soothing music, and i just pass out! haha its fantastic. its like a time-warp because i usually go in the late afternoon so when i go in its light out, and when i leave its pitch black...its a very odd feeling.

gonal f is the same as bravelle & follistim
think of these as the meds responsible for the number of follies
repronex is the same as menopur - these are the meds that mature the follies.
Cetrotide is the same as ganirelix - they stop you from ovulating before trigger.
Hope that clears it up for you. 11 follies?!!! YAY!!!!
Can I do the "I told you so" dance now? Whew! for your RE finally changing your protocol! I was thinking I 'd have to call her and tear her a new one! I knew you were just too suppressed on lupron! as far as the phones, on clinic days I carry both phones all day - AY! what we wont go through for a BFP! I'm so glad you're coming along nicely! Hey everyone, hope everyones day is going well. So, I finally got my call and I am to continue the same dosage on Gonal-f, but I have to go back in for another SnS tomorrow?!?! Boy, this baby making stuff is F-U-N..... Not!!! I am not sure what is normal in the follie making department but 14 after 2 days of stims seemed a little high to me, so I thought they'd just adjust my doses and and see me back Wed or Thur. I did not expect another visit 2 days in a row?!?! As you girls all know these are not fun visits and doing them back to back seems almost like torture. Oh well, I just needed to vent a little I guess. It's not like I have a choice here, so of course in about an hour I'll self inject for the night and get up early for my visit. Of course it doesn't help that AF is here and thanks to the ASA it's heavier than normal and I am always heavy anyways. Thanks for listening! Baby dust to all and to all a good night!

Hello ladies, how is everyone doing? I'm bed rest today. i went to acupuncture at noon. I was told that my last session was not cleared and cold virus is found in my body. she treated 2 things for me today. hopefully, the body ache, shivering, sweating, eyes' itchiness and tears, nasal blockage and itchiness can be all gone today.

my typing skill is mediocre and please excuse me for not doing personals today.

Katie & gi: thanks for the kind word about getting pregnant at my age. i really appreciate!

Katie: glad to hear there is some sunshine in your area! we had lunch with our donor before and it's no longer anonymous. there's a bond now. i guess it's the same as other using donor that they found from themselves instead of thru agencies. it becomes more emotional on both side. we become more emotional to find someone so right for us. and she would want to do more to help us.

hope every one keep warm and keep crossing fingers for everyone to get BFP!

Hey girls, glad to see everyone is doing good. I started lupron today and I just feel like everything is going so much faster this time. After my m/c my doctor send me for lots of testing- genetic and antibodies and everything came back good. I'm cautiously optimistic this cycle.
Babyhopes and rileybabymaybe- good luck tomorrow, I'm praying everything goes smooth and you get some beautiful eggs.
Lou- lead us all to a long list of BFP
Karenthescorpio- YEY for starting lupron. What stim will you be taking? I'm taking bravelle and menopur for about 14 days. This worked last cycle and I was able to get 18 eggs.

katie99- i'm not sure what's going on with my dates on your chart. i still haven't started my stims. waiting for af. so er probably won't be the 22nd. i'll keep you posted.

beth84- i'm sorry you keep bruising yourself...that stinks. yes, you're lucky that you've never really gotten bloated...i'm definitely not looking forward to that part, but it's all worth it for a bfp.

hope644- i remember when bcps used to make me nauseous...hate that feeling.

afm...still no af. this is good, but now i'm ready so i guess i'll be starting this month. i'm somewhat shocked that i'm late, since i'm almost always on time. if i get it before tomorrow morning, i will be going to the re for a baseline. i already made my sub plans for the morning in case i'm late to school. if af doesn't show, i guess then i'll be playing the waiting game. thanks to everyone for the no af until tuesday dance...it worked!

rileybabymaybe- my ER girlfriend..... You will so be on my mind tomorrow. GL. My trigger shot was IM so my neighbor gave it to me. She finds it so cool that she help "impregnant". I hate to tell her that when you add the clinic staff, fertility pharmacy , the lab people, anesthesia MD, and my nurses for the procedure a small village was used to impregnant me....LOL

Claudia- So glad to hear that you are not having any headaches. I hope everything goes text book

samgarkay- I can just imagine the look you gave your DH when he suggested you should carry a spare.... 14 follies omg!!!!! Grow follies grow

Hi All - I'm starting my BCP tonight, YEAH !!!!!!! I have to call the office tomorrow to ask if lovenox I'll be on for the pregnancy if I am soooo lucky !!!!

hms- I realize I need to stay positive but my life has changed drastically because of infertility. I quit my career to focus on this and my DD. IVF and childcare are both extremely expensive, so something had to give, no more nice dinners and trips for us. So you can say that between taking care of my DD and IVF there is little time for me. one of my several pregnancy losses have been very recent. So, if I seem frustrated maybe these are the reasons as to why.

Gi- Thanks for being so understanding as always. You are a trooper to the end. What is going on with your cycle ?

Hello ladies! Thanks to you all for the heartfelt welcome! It's so wonderful to have so much support...I was like this before I found this site and now I'm !!!!!

You are all such strong people. I can only hope that I'm as strong in a few weeks! I just figured out today that I'm supposed to start my nasal spray TOMORROW...yes tomorrow...the pharmacy couldn't locate the merional that I'm supposed to start on day 3 of AF so he is ordering it. I hope that he understands that I will need it in about 2 WEEKS!!!! So, I'm beginning my meds tomorrow.

How did you ladies do with the injections?? I've noticed that the Brectavid (spelling??) is not an injector pen..I have to mix the medications together and then inject them. (in a major muscle???) I was a little nervous today when he was explaining it to me. But I don"t start that until the dr tells me to. I also didn't know that the merional was also an injection..I'm trying to read online now if its a med that I have to mix. I'm really thinking about having my nurse help me the first time to ease my mind and ensure I'm doing things the right way..I definitely don't want to mess up!!

jenice: congrats on starting BCP. i hope you haven't misunderstood my last post...by no means am I the picture of positivity. when i say i don't want to look back on my early 30's as a time of anger and frustration, that's because that's all my early 30's has been. i struggle immensely with anger and 'why me' and a failure of 'femaleness' because i can't produce a child. i would never judge anyone for feeling frustrated or overwhelmed. i, too, understand the expenses of IVF. my DH was laid off in 2009 and unemployed for 8 months during which time we maxed out on our insurance coverage for fertility, AND depleted our savings just to pay our rent. now we're going into debt to pay for this last attempt - last because we just can't afford emotionally or financially to continue. my dinners with friends are a small bit of happiness and freedom from my negativity. I am so sorry for the pain you've been through with your losses. I don't know what that feels like and I can't imagine. just being on this board tells me you've got the strength and grace to continue this journey, and I truly wish you the best with it.

anyway guys, the RE wanted me back a second day in a row for another SnS, so off I go.

Hey all--

So.....I just came down with a cold. No fever or anything---just a runny nose. Anyone know if they'll cancel my transfer on Friday because of this? I'm almost scared to tell my nurse for fear that she'll cancel this cycle. I know that's the wrong thinking---I wouldn't want to jeopardize this cycle---I'll just be so disappointed if it's canceled.
