HJW Believe me it's okay that you do not have any symptoms. Believe it or not, neither did I until I ate those fried pickles. My stomach was the same size it was before transfer, no nausea, I mean I felt okay.
So don't feel bad because you don't feel nausea or bloating. Your positive HPT is all you need. Congrats again.
AFM: I am feeling a lot better, my body is confusing. Like the other day I was watching t.v. and a pizza commercial came on. I wanted pizza so bad I went out in the cold weather (my dh was at work, I would of asked him to do it.) I ate a couple of bites and felt horrible. When my dh came home he enjoyed the pizza I craved.
I am now able to eat more, I lost 6lbs in a couple of days ( thanks to the pickles) but, I gained the pounds back. :P

Morning ladies, just wanted to report in to let you know that the HPT was still positive this morning (woo hoo!) and I now have my date for my u/s. I go in on Thursday 21st January, when I will be 7wks2days. 13 sleeps to go!!!

Skylar - Haha, your pizza story made me laugh! So, so far your cravings have been fried pickles and pizza - you just need to add in ice-cream, mix it all together and you've got the classic pregnant woman food cravings! It's good to hear that you didn't have any symptoms at this stage either. I know it's probably a case of be careful what you wish for! When I'm spending half my day hugging the toilet I'm probably going to miss these days of feeling pretty normal...

turtle, dodo - thank you for the messages and I'm going to be lurking on that Jan/Feb thread to see you both get your BFP's, along with our other Nov/Dec friends!

Take care,
Hx

Hi Nov/Dec cycling friends...

I really haven't been MIA, I've just moved over to the Jan/Feb board. My FET went well on Wednesday and I transferred one blast. <fingers>

I do have a question for all you BFP ladies. Did any of you have any symptoms during your 2ww? Cramping, twinging, spotting, etc?? And if you POAS, what day post transfer did it become positive?

Congrats to all of you ladies who are preggers! I hope to join you soon. PM me if you like.

Yay, lou71, you're PUPO!!!

For my 2ww, I started off having some cramping on and off for the first 5-6 after ET, BUT I was having cramping and sore boobs even BEFORE I got to ET because of the progesterone, so I think that really doesn't count as a symptom! After 5-6 days post-ET, I started to feel totally normal again, so no cramping and no sore boobs (and in fact I still do feel normal) but I still got my BFP on New Years Day. The only thing, looking back, which I would say was probably a symptom is that every so often (starting on the day of ET itself) I got lightheaded/dizzy sometimes when I stood up (my acupuncture lady told me it was as a result of all the blood flow concentrating in my uterus).

My clinic doesn't do betas anymore but tells you to test at home on 18dpo (which would have been 13dp5dt). On the subject of POAS, I looked at katie99's chart and decided not to test until I got to the day when the HCG level would be immediately detected, so that either way the result should be definitive. In fact, thanks to DH not wanting to tempt fate, I even waited a few days more than that, and so when I tested on 12dp5dt (New Years Day!) and AF still hadn't arrived, I kind of suspected that it might have worked.

Good luck to you in your 2ww, try not to drive yourself crazy analysing symptoms or lack of symptoms, they really don't mean anything either way! When is your beta?

Thanks Hazel! According to Katie's chart, I won't have enough HCG in my body to be detected until the day of my beta anyway.... so I don't think I will POAS.

Appreciate your insight. I started to have a bit of strange cramping a little while ago. I've been on PIO for a week now. No sore bb's this time, which I did have last time.

<sigh> I know. I just have to wait for the beta, which will be 9dp FET.

lou: I also had symptoms from the meds only before ET. But I heard that your symptoms can be a sign of implanting even though I don't know if it's the right day. have to look at katie's chart. Also, people say drink plenty of water after ET helps. GL and crossing fingers for you.

Lou - yay!!!!!!

This was 1st successful IVF after 2 failed cycles. I did not feel a thing. I did have a weird taste in my mouth and very thirsty. I also had gastric reflux which I never get. I tested FRER on 8dp3dt with first +ive and tested for next 2 days with +ive until Beta. Beta 11dp3dt was 63 and 14dp3dt was 233. I did have 2 sacs but only one heartbeat at 6 weeks on my 1st ultrasound. I wish you all the luck in the world. Please try not to get hung up on symptoms. Enjoy this time b/c the real 2ww comes after your beta, waiting to find out if a heartbeat exists. They say that one you see a heartbeat, the risk of miscarriage is about 5%. Sticky embie glue to you!!!!! Think pink!!!!! Good thoughts only and definitely BELIEVE!!!!

lou71 - how's the 2ww going, how have you been feeling? Only four more sleeps until your beta, I think!!! Are you managing to resist thoughts of POAS'ing?

albany07 - so nice to hear from you and congratulations on that heartbeat. That must be such a special moment! I'm in the final 10 day countdown until my own first u/s (when I will be 7wks2days) - if anything, this time is dragging more slowly than the 2ww!!

Hjw I couldn't agree with you more, the 2ww for beta or HPT seems easier than waiting for the ultrasound. How are you doing? Do you feel pregnant yet?

Hi Skylar! I know exactly what you mean about the wait for the first u/s is harder than the 2ww itself! Particularly so because I haven't had a beta at all (my clinic doesn't do them any more), or seen RE or a nurse since transfer, so I'm just at home waiting and hoping that things are progressing OK. If the u/s goes OK, I will then have another five week wait to get to my 12 week scan! To answer your question, I'm still feeling totally normal, if I weren't still doing a cheapie pregnancy test strip every morning and seeing the second line get darker still, I would swear that I wasn't pregnant! How is your m/s, is it getting any better?

lou71 - how're you doing? Hope you're hanging in there, not long to go until beta...

Hazel They say the higher your hcg levels get, you will start to feel pregnant. At times I feel the same way you do, I just cannot believe that I am pregnant. I just feel ill. What is the date you have your u/s?

Skylar, my u/s is a week tomorrow, Thursday 21st. Only 8 sleeps to go! Sorry your m/s is still making you miserable - did you have acupuncture during your cycle? I've heard that can really help reduce m/s.

Hi Ladies.

Hazel - I am glad your u/s is almost here!

I went to the doc today for my second u/s a week after the first. To our surprise the doc found a second baby so it looks like we're having twins. What a shock! We are really excited.

On another note, has anyone heard of some wrist band that helps with nausea and morning sickness? My RE was telling me about it today and wrote out a prescription for one. I dont want to get it filled until I do a bit more research.

Hope all is well!
