Good to see you all took a break from typing today -

ok, so 5 more days til baseline for me! finally! but still 1 week before stims

The list is HUGE! So please no one hesitate to let me know if I've gotten something wrong, or worse - missing.

To all the new girls - theres a list of abbreviations in the General forum - its "sticky" so it always stays 3rd from the top - thankfully!

Riley -OMG! 20 fert!!! The most I've ever had was 3 -
so you're like SuperWoman to me! please keep an eye out for OHSS symptoms - please! Any difficulty breathing or passing urine, sudden weight gain - call your RE ASAP

Roshaunda -The last few days of stims can be really long ones - I usually get real whiney right around then ( not normal for me) You are so close now though! Thankfully you have teens to help around the house, that must be a relief! Yes, we still have snow - it will most likely hang around til march ugh! but its suppossed to be 44 degrees today & tom!
What I wouldnt give to move back down south!

Bethany - I know hon - I hate the waiting part also! Roll on 1/26 to be done with those annoying little pills!

Franny -Tee hee! part 4! UGH! I hate when the site just eats your posts! and ALWAYS when its a long one! I'm super happy to see you get to ER! So there- lupron! and 8 follies too! Whoo Hooo!

I am in a better frame of mind this morning, a good cry in the arms of someone who loves you is very cleansing. I do feel something twinges and tingling so PMA for Fridays SnS. My wife explained it this way to me....Those are body parts that have not been used in 15 years, theye are RUSTY. Great I have rusty overies, cried even more, but from laughter. I dont get the suppression of something that hasnt worked, but who am I.

msmac in the afternoons starting tuesday I could feel tingles, I swear I am not losing my mind, also have a little crampy feeling in lower back. I am keeping a PMA now, have to cry first though, my better half made it better. Thanks for all your positive thoughts and info. I am happy for you, that you are doing so well.

Franny - Awwww your post made me choke up! - This has been such a long year for quite a few of us. I'm thrilled to see how excited you are - as usual your enthusiasm is infectious! This time for us my ER is on 1/28 but DH had to go and "perform" on the 29th - or they'll charge 550! to freeze it overnight! WTH? I'd like to hear that excuse to his boss!!!! "Well I ummmm have to drive to PA and ummmmm ... well" heh heh heh - love you too franny!

Misocial -Wait - huh? now I'm confused. If they stopped your lupron the PM before stims then what are they using to prevent you from ovulating during stims? You & me both - i've learned more about ivf through these forums than from my dr & nursing school combined! I try to read everything that Ghost posts - I always learn something from his posts. And thank God for a supportive DP! I couldnt imagine surviving this craziness without a DH that gets it. Its sad but true, there are a lot of tears throughout this whole process, you have to be strong willed and determined - and stubborn doesnt hurt either! Fingers crossed for your appt tomorrow - xoxo

bei kind of ironic isnt it.... when we were younger we dreaded AF, were even pissy about it. Now we look for it, wait for it, beg for it, then are happy as hell to see it. Life. I gave away my AF a few days ago, but I will send AF NOW thoughts to you.

Hi Girls~

I check in about 30 pages ago....sorry for my lack of updates but we have been so busy with the new house, painting and chasing my Sawyer. BUT, I have officially started IVF#2. I am currently doing my lupron down reg. I have my supression check on Monday and hope to start meds wed-thursday next week. I expect ER and ET will be the first week of February. I am so scared this time! This is probably our last chance....so I am nervous to know how my life will unfold. I hope with child:) Anyways, I wanted to check in. Sorry I am so behind on personals. I will try to do better keeping up. Good luck ladies:)

Hey ladies! Just a quick vent for now and I'll catch up with personals a bit later. So today was day four SNS (day 6 of stims) , and today I am frustrated. I went to a different office than normal so I couldn't get my E2 and when my RE did todays US, there was only 10 follicles?!?! They measured 6 on the right measuring 9mm-17mm, and 4 on the left 12-16mm. Size wise I guess this is good, but only 10? She didn't say anything but I looked at the screen after she left, and now I have a bunch of questions and no answers until tomorrow. Yes, thats right, I get to go for a 5th day in a row for the SnS torture!! My RE also said that the left side is still hard to get to but that with some manipulation it does seem to move. She also said we are still looking at Monday for the ER, and that I will go on a clear liquid diet Saturday and Sunday. She said they have found great success with this when someone has a hard to reach ovary. When the bowel is empty it gives more room for manipulation. I might complain a little about this part, but really I don't mind. Right now I am stressing about the number of follies! Please through lots of follie growth dust my way!! I KNOW it really is about quality and not quantity, but at the same time I really figured I'd have lots of eggs especially with the 14 they found Monday!!! Ok, just venting. I need to get my PMA back, but I seem to be very blue and stressed today. Thanks for listening.

whew....just caught up from last night!!!

Franny-your words made my heart expand!!! I totally feel the same way about you and having you go through this with me the past couple of cycles has made this craziness so much more manageable and tolerable!!! I can't wait to hear how many follies they get tomorrow and I will have everything crossed for you!!! As for my ET when I spoke to RE at my follow up apt she said that shey would defrost 2 embies and if they looked "perfect" they would transfer back 2 and that I had the same 60% chance of getting a BFP as a fresh cycle. She said if they lost any cells or don't look "perfect" they would defrost another two and see their progress. She said the only way they would put back 3 if 2 looked great and 1 was so-so!!! So they probably won't let me know until I go in for my ET what the status is-but it will most likely be transferring 2!!

Katie-YAH for having only 5 more days till baseline and a week till stims!! We are going to have our tranfers very close together (probably a day apart!)

samgarkay-With my last two cycles I had to go in every day as well from day 6 till my ER!! It sucked but it was reassuring that they were keeping an eye on everything and I had daily updates!!! They told me at my last u/s that I had about 18 follies and then retrieved 25 mature follies at my ER!! Don't get stressed about the numbers since a lot catch up after trigger!!

Riley-How are you feeling today? I also had symptoms of OHSS and I had extreme bloating, difficulty breathing, and some fluid in my stomach. What helped was ironically eating salty foods and drinking a crap load of gaterade!!! Keep us updated

miyaya-welcome back and glad that you got your IVF schedule!! You will probably be the week after me:)

Hello ladies - There is no way I'm going to get to all of you, but here's the few I am hitting

jenice -- God, that really sucks. The new clinic deal sounds like a good one -- two tries (even if one is frozen) for $7500?
That's the cheapest I've ever heard of. I saw out with the old clinic and on with the new. You don't have to quit trying
IVF just to excercise and lose weight - you can do both, although it is harder if you are cycling. I wouldn't take any time
off, but that is just me!

mandy, camiwb - Welcome and come on in - this is a VERY active board, as you can see.

lattrell - I did accupuncture for about two months before and during my first IVF. It did help calm me. My therapist was a nice, sturdy lady and was v. nurturing which I liked and helped my emo state. She built up my lining, calmed my emo, and worked on my egg quality. She also did a before and after session for ET. I say if you can afford it, go for it. This round I am not doing Accup, to see if my results are any different without it.

babyhopes - 9 fertilized is tremendous!!! That is enough for a fresh and at least two other cycles, if they make it to freezing. Congrats to you! You're gonna have a least a few REALLY good quality ones in that number.

msmac - I wouldn't worry a bit about your follicles and your unevenness - if your one good ovary is a decent producer, you'll have more than enough for transfer. Also, it's too early to be worrying. I wouldn't even pay too much attention to numbers and size until just before ER - it'll save your sanity a bit!

patypaty - I had tremendous pain and pressure as well. I recommend a hot pad and lying down or sitting with feet up as often (daily for a least a few hours) as you can. Also, try to keep drinking alot of fluid and continue to pee because I felt that my bladder being full or too empty made it worse.

misocial - I have never heard of cancellation with no change in meds! I'm so, so sorry for your difficulties. Were you already maxed out on the hormones? if not, I might look into switching clinics. Yes, it is common for nurses to have you order meds you don't end up needing. This is a v. expensive lab experiment - you are the guinea pig and they are the mad scientists!

chris and katie99 - DH and I have Aetna - no coverage besides drugs. We do get a great deal on the drugs though. We also got full coverage for mock embryo, HSG, and all the other initial work-ups. We get a cycle for $6500 out of pocket, but we're paying out of pocket for shared risk so we haven't taken advantage of that deal yet.

turtle - We only transferred one and we got BFP, it does only take one! One good one is all you need. In fact, sometimes less if more if you only want to do fresh cycles and fewer FET's.

rlk1 - You're so right -you're totally ahead of me, girl! you're nearing the end of your cycle, congrats on getting this far! Best of luck with ER!

miyaya - I have suppression check on monday too! Do you start stimming that night if all is good? I also transfer the first week in February - woo - hoo cyclesister

samgarkay - 10 follicles is great! Usually there are smaller ones that they just do not bother counting, if your clinic
is like mine, they look for the target amount and if they hit it, they don't bother with the rest. Also, if they are having
trouble seeing your left ovary, there could well be more in there. I think for my last check before I went in for ER, they
saw ten about the right size and we got 15! Of those, all 15 were mature and 12 fert, so be positive and don't second guess
your little ovaries, they need all the love and support from you they can get right now!

ASM - Lupron daily, BCP's and baby aspirin. Going off BCP's tonight and hoping for AF on the 16th. That'll put me right on track for ET the first week of Feb. I did Lupron before and had no side effects, but this time I have awful headaches in the afternoon and evenings, and I'm having some insomnia. Did anyone else get this? It sucks!

Well, I seem to back back to the land of the living! That was a rough couple of days and I'm not a wimp. Still waiting on my blood results, but I do feel a little better so I won't stress.

Jenice - I'm so sorry to hear about your insurance issues. I feel you pain - we are cash pay! GL getting the funds together.

Franny - I am so excited that you made it to trigger & ER. Seems like it came so quickly so whatever they did worked VERY well!!

Gi - Any word on when they are going to remove your polyp? I'm so glad they are finding and fixing issues that were missed in the past!

Lou - My PUPO friend, less than 24 hours until beta. You'll have to find time between both jobs to let us know. I am dying to hear your results even though I already know it's going to be a BFP!!

Babyhopes - My IVF sister, you will be PUPO tomorrow! I am so excited to hear how many you decide on putting back. Will our betas be the same day? 01/26? GL tomorrow...you'll have to let me know what to expect!

RLK - Another friend who will be PUPO tomorrow! This is so exciting...let's start this board off right. First Lou, then babyhopes, you & me!!

Beth - 10 sounds like a good number to me! GROW FOLLIES GROW!!

Moorebaby - How was your baseline? GL on stims! Also, my DH has sperm issues and he was able to fert all mature eggs. I hope this encourages you a little bit.

Msmac - thank you for the prayers...we needed them! Are you feeling better today?

Katie - Our resident nurse and care-taker! What would I do without you? Well, I honestly don't know! Thank you for everything. List up-keep, symptom watcher, encourager, mini IVF expert, etc. You are a priceless addition to this board!

Samgarkay - Is it possible that they are just not able to view all of them? I mean, they can't go away can they?

AFM - feeling better today. I'm not 100%, but much better. I assume I'll go back to work tomorrow. When I went to see the RE yesterday I think he felt very bad for me. The pain was unbearable! Wonder what happened?? Anyhow, I am back and ready to cheer everyone on to the BFPs I know we will all have...starting eith Lou tomorrow! Thank you all again for the concern, encouragement, friendship, etc. Thinking of you all!
