Merri baby dust Lupron gave me terrible headaches and bruising. I did not have insomnia though. Tylenol PM maybe your best bet if you can take it. I have started getting headaches again with my stims the last 3 days I dont know if its stress though, it only happens in the evening. Hope you get some rest.

hi guys . i'm laid up in bed having just watched an episode on 'a baby story' on TLC. :) i was a little bit of a rough morning, as i came out of the ER in a lot of pain (much more than i remember last time) and they only got 4 eggs. same as last april. i was emotional - felt like the new protocol / DHEA may not have made a diff, but we'll see what happens with the fertilization. they weren't planning on doing ICSI but w/ only 4, they said i really had no other choice. i guess i had a good number of follies (hence the pain?), but most of them were just empty. what is that about? we asked the nurse if we could donate our leftover meds and she said hang onto them as they're expensive and it got emotional again as we told her this would be our last try. but she's right - we should wait until this is all over before we make the mental shift, and turning unused drugs over is def part of the letting go. not there yet! trying to remain upbeat. i've got my Life & Style and india travel book here...ET will be on Sunday but my mind is really just focused on if/how many fertilize which i should know by early afternoon tomorrow.

thanks all so much for the well wishes - it means a lot - even for the short amount of time i've been on 'board' so to speak, you've helped my spirits.

more soon...

Misocial- there are so many ptotocols. Since I am new to IVF, I'm still learning everyday as I go. My RE kept me on my lupron with my stims but little lower dose and I take 300IU of follistem in the morning and then at night 1 vial or 75 of menopur.

Jeez guys! a whole new page in 2 hrs?? Wow - I give up!

Misocial -I have to admit, your schedule has me stumped. I've never heard of one like that. I cant figure it out. Were you scheduled to stop lupron before stims? or did they stop you after seeing your bloodwork? No baby aspirin to help with uterine bloodflow? No lupron, ganirelix or cetrotide to prevent premature ovulation? No dexamethasone before transfer to help suppress your immune system to not attack the embyros? I'm wondering if maybe your early b/w showed over suppressed then they pulled you off lupron to hope and catch up? We'll see what they say tomorrow, but if they do (God forbid) cancel you - you have a right to know exactly what happened. So I wouldnt leave their office without answers ( this cost way too much $ to not get answers right then) And just in case, make sure that whats left in this cycle WILL carry over money wise. I'm sorry you've got all this added stress. big hug

katie I did not have a stop date on the Lupron until my 1/8 SnS, when they called that afternoon with results I was told to stop lupron and start stims the next day. So I dont know if I was over suppressed or not. Thanks for the warm wishes and advise. I am so very hopeful. I do have alot of questions tomorrow.

hms - keep up the PMA - don't give up!! It DOES only take 1 embryo... remember, you don't want to carry a litter anyway... just one, healthy baby. Give them time to fert and grow....

Hello ladies, thank you so much for the feedback! Please do not worry! I am too tired to go anywhere and also avoid giving good night kiss to my DH. I only keep drinking tons of water. I had acupuncture yesterday and she told me to eat only well cooked food. I'll try your diet later on. I remember we only had congee when we're young. AF came yesterday and so I'm extremely tired. Thank you so much again for the AF dance! I will go for the baseline SNS appointment tomorrow. LOVE YOU GALS! KEEP WARM! WILL DO PERSONALS LATER ON!

Ok. Now I have some time for a few quick personals! :D

lou: Can't wait to hear about your BFP tomorrow!

claud662: Thanks for the words of encouragement. You response helped get me out of my funk. I was wondering if it was possible to get more eggs than they expect. I haven't seen a lot of those stories, but read about all the empty follicles often. Thank you. Good luck at your SnS tomorrow.

merribabydust: Thank you for your support! I really needed to hear some postive stories where more eggs were retrieved than expected and better a high fertilization rate!!! I was feeling down, but am feeling much better now. I know that some of this reaction was just hormones. No help from me on the Lupron, but I hope your headaches get better soon and I'll throw some ZZZZZZ's dust your way. Insomnia sucks.

rileybabymaybe: Glad to hear your starting to feel better. I sure hope that things go smoothly for me as I can only take the day of ER off of work. :( As for my little follies, I wouldn't think they could just disappear as that would mean I ovulated. Hmmm....maybe it was the machine she was using today, as she mentioned it was an older machine. Who knows? I go back to the main office tomorrow, so hopefully the news is better. When is your ET?

turtle0619: I know I need to keep up the PMA, this morning really threw me for a loop, but I am back on track now. I get my 5th SnS tomorrow am, and will be daily until ER. I can do anything I set my mind to. I can, I can, I can! Congrats on triggering and I will be thinking of you tomorrow. You'll be PUPO before you know it. Are you ready?!?! I know you are. I am sure your husband is thrilled with his date with Mr. Lefty and the Porno. LOL

AFM: I have gotten over my little bout of poor me from this morning and am moving on thanks to a couple wonderful supportive messages from here. I will ask my RE about my concerns tomorrow. Just as all of us, I so want my BFP. There is one glitch right now, but it will work itself out tomorrow. My work fired someone yesterday and now they want me to work Monday. I am fine with doing this, so I will also ask my RE about delaying ER until Tuesday. If it's going to cause any problems then I will just tell my work, sorry, but if it's alright well then I just go to my liquid diet Sunday instead. Honestly, I like this idea as it gives me one extra day for stims. Keep throwing the follie dust my way and I will keep you posted. :D

So I just got back from dinner with some of the girls I went through nursing school with. I'm listening to all these stories of their careers moving forward and I realized all I have to talk about is infertility. It just started making me so sad. I found out 2 years ago that both of my tubes were blocked and since then its been all about ivf, well after the surgery to remove them that is. Now that I've been cycling pretty much non stop since june I notice how exhausted I sound when answering the endless "so it didnt work yet"? questions. UGH! Clearly if it had worked yet - I'd be shouting it out loud to everyone I came across! Boy, no wonder they say that infertility is isolating - it seems like until you live through it no one else understands it. I'm so thankful to have all of you guys!

Samantha -Some follies contain more than 1 egg, and some stop growing - your numbers will change all the time. You cant get too hung up on it, and quite a few girls retreive more than what was seen on the u/s
Notice that I say this now, but when its my turn - I do the exact same thing

Claudia -Yay for a 2ww buddy! Jaydentd will be right near then too! Glad that we're in sync! And hope that you still have that special t-shirt for your dog to wear... think you'll need it! :D

Riley -thanks! I'm so glad that you're feeling better - was a bit worried about you.

hms -I've never gotten more than 3 that were mature - so 4 sounds good to me. I agree with your nurse - hold onto your meds for a while yet. Get some rest!

Dodo -Sorry that your still not feeling so hot, try to get some rest
Good luck at your baseline tomorrow! Cant wait to hear about it

Franny -Stop stressing and relax - it will go just fine!

Lou -I've got everything crossed for you tomorrow!

Rlk - YAY almost PUPO!!! :D

Babyhopes - Good luck with ET tomorrow! PUPO!!
