Cami- my ER will be thursday, I trigger tonight!! :D :D :D :D

I'm excited and can't wait for my DH to call so I can tell him we are one step closer.

Rosario - Oh my gosh - I imagine this must be pretty frightening. If it is any comfort at all, doctors found a tumor in my dad's brain 5 years ago, and they just keep an eye on it, and it's not growing or causing any problems at all. Please keep us updated!

Samantha - Great news on your ER! Looking forward to your fert report...

Hi All -

Just a few personals...

Dear Lou... my heart goes out to you sweetie. So glad to hear you are going to try again.
Image

Sam - congrats on your ER! Here's to good fertilization!! Image

msmac- woo hoo! trigger time! Image

I so wish I could sign on more often. I miss this connection!! I feel like I'm rolling through this cycle on two wheels. Although, I have to say, the others seemed somehow to drag on forever... I don't know which is better... I don't want to obsess over my cycle, but I also don't necessarily want it to be a complete blur!

gotta run... dh is here for a change and I am going to steal him away for a bit!! :)

hi all. here i am 3dpt and time is going tooooo sloooowly. I'm getting a little obsessive about looking for symptoms like i do EVERY TIME and there are no symptoms to be had at this stage beyond the progesterone.

Laurie, Jacqueline, Kim : How are you guys feelin' today? Cramps? Tired? Big boobs? I don't have a name for my embies, just callin' them the Embies.

msmac: good luck triggering! your DH will be so psyched.

samantha: woo hoo! sweet dreams and let us know how many fertilize.

beth: 7 embies. yay! so you're on suppositories again this time?

rlk/Kim: don't worry about picking up your DS. i agree with everyone: you would be doing much more had you done this the usual way. i know the inclination to second guess everything you're doing - but i'm starting to believe the small things we do in these first few days is NOT going to make or break the success of our embies. these puppies have their own agenda, and if they're intent on implanting, then gd-it, they will implant.

dodo: love the rice idea!

paty: hope you get the word to trigger tomorrow!

cami: not so poopie today. i think i'm regulating, though i'm sure by tomorrow it will be going in the opposite direction with the progesterone having kicked in. not looking forward to that. GL with your retrieval!

katie: yay follies!! they're gonna grow! i was on Bravelle too (with menopur at night) and I got 1 more fertilized egg than last time, so maybe this is the cycle for us diminished reserved girls.

roshaunda- yay trigger baby! bet dh will be so excited when he hears. so what are you studying?

samantha- glad to hear that your er went good. can't wait to hear the fert report tomorrow. get some sleep...sweet dreams of your baby! will you be doing a 3dt or a 5dt & with how many embies?

rosario- wow that's crazy that they found a tumor. glad that they found it early though, so they can treat it. keep us posted definitely!

babyranger7- welcome! it's completely normal to feel scared. but you found the right place for support & as much info as we can share with you. please, any questions, just ask. good luck with the finance company. let us know how it goes. by the way, i've always wanted to visit savannah. dh & i almost did a few years ago.

beth- that's a great fert report girl! your ivf #2 & the fet...were they 3d or 5d? if they were 5d, i'd go with 5d...at least you beat half the battle & got preggo. let us know what re decides.

cami- good luck with your er tomorrow...i'll be thinking about you! BRAINTREE!! i used to live there...on liberty street. then i lived in weymouth on washington st. i had a blast living there! we are somewhat similar, except i don't have blocked tubes. but yes, our dh's are similar. have they considered tesa on your dh?

jacqueline- 6 more days & you'll be getting your bfp! how are you feeling? just like cami said, cramping is a good sign. your little one is just settling in & getting comfortable. i mean wouldn't you if you had to be somewhere for 9 months?

paty- is your er still scheduled for friday, the 22nd? yes, all you need is 1 egg! being around positive people is EXACTLY what you need! let us know how tomorrow's (wednesday's) appointment goes.

ronda- 2 more days & you'll be pupo...woohoo!!!

claudia- what do you teach? i teach health & that sounds right up my alley. sometimes i wish i dealt with high schoolers...i have to be so limited as to what i can tell the middle schoolers. but i love them...they're so innocent. making up is fun

katie- sounds like baseline was a breeze. no b/w? that's great...the less needles, the better :-) hooray for stims really soon! i have a question for you....what is an antagonist protocol versus another type of a protocol? i'm on ganirelix, so that would be anatagonist based on your reply to lou. is it better or just different? i read your description about it, but was just curious about more info.

franny- oh you poor thing...the pio injections are EVIL  but i never heard of icing afterwards. just like katie said, ice & oil do not mix. that's probably why you still are in pain..switch to a heating pad. it will make a world of difference. you're right about if we weren't doing this ivf stuff, we would never know that we're pupo, so we would just be going about our business. but your mind is a strong & powerful thing, so the fact that we know, puts you on the cautious side. you just don't want to overthink it...stress is not good. hope poopo is setting & enjoying his mama for the next 9 months :-)

kim- i think lifting ds here & there will not jeopardize this little fighter you have inside. just like i said above, if you were preggo "on your own" you wouldn't know & you'd be doing everyday things like lifting ds. pma, pma, pma girl!!!

misocial- great to see that you're back on this crazy roller coaster.

gi- glad to hear that they were able to squeeze you in! "it's my party. i can cry if i want to. i can cry if i want to." i'm such a dork! so what kind of dog do you have?

heather- SWEETS! that's all i've been craving. dh just made me chocolate chip cookies & it's 10pm, lol! how are you feeling?

lou- i'm on ganirelix. i actually just had my 1st injection this cycle today. i also used it my last cycle. they will have me taking it in the mornings while i take follistim in the evenings until i trigger, which should be saturday. i don't really have any crazy side effects from it. the medication stings a little after the injection & the site of the injection got a little red for a half hour & then went away. what does your re think about taking a break versus continuing?

everyone else i didn't mention, i'm thinking of you!

afm...i had an u/s & b/w this morning. re said i had about 10 follicles total, ranging from 10 to 12.5. based on that they weren't sure if they should have me start on ganirelix or not. they said they'd have to wait & see what my estrogen levels came back at. if they were close to 400, i would start it. i got a call to start it today...i guess the levels were close to 400. i go back on thursday for b/w & an u/s. based on the follicle sizes then, i will be given a more accurate answer as to whether i'll be triggering on saturday & having my er on monday. if er is on monday, dh's tesa will be sunday. he is so nervous...poor thing. i love him so much.

lots of sticky baby dust all around ladies!

love ya,
es

Hi Ladies~I just wanted to drop in really quickly and say hello. I apologize for not being around. I have been trying to think about this all as little as possible. I don't go for my baseline until Friday and then start stims on Saturday. So, I still have awhile to go and am already very nervous/excited/anxious etc.

Lou-I am so sorry. Take the time you need to refresh yourself.

Katie-I think the first name idea is great. You start stims friday?

Franny-Stick poopo stick!!

Gi-I am sorry you are having such a hard time getting that appointment. Glad you finally worked it out.

I am sorry that is all I can remember right now. But know that I am thinking about you all and checking in even if I don't post much. I can't wait to see the BFP's start rolling in. :D

hms Just one comment. If you are eating enough chocolate to seriously consider the caffine content of dark vs milk... well... hehehe

gi Love reading your posts! Thank gawd you got squeezed in - the money will be worth it. You might be bringing up the rear but at least you have all of us ahead to part the grass on the path! Hope things go excellent and surgery is uneventful.

Paty Glad things are settled in your mind regarding your friend. It's just not worth the negative energy when you need to be positive now. Seven follies are great - there are lots of ladies who pray for seven. Besides, it's early, right?

Riley Cramping is rumored to be very normal. Actually it can be a good sign. How many days past transfer are you?

rlk You are not being a downer - this is a support group, not a bunch of polly-annas. we have to be honest about what we're going through or we'll all be secretly feeling isolated. I wouldn't worry too much about the lifting.... I honestly can't see how using your stomach muscles can affect a cell smaller than the period at the end of this sentence. I know it's good to play it safe, but... going one lb over the 'recommended' weight is most likely pretty okay. I know your emby wasn't perfect, but I've heard of lots of ladies getting babies from non-perfect embys!

turtle Ditto on the post above - I'm pretty sure that normal light activity is not really an issue. Lots of RE's don't give any warnings except really heavy lifting or exercise. And why is your rear sore? The hotel is good - I'm finally getting rested up from all the travel. I'm exploring the city as much as I can without any real place to go. david will be here next monday so he wants me to wait for him to explore some of the cooler venues. I have a suitcase full of paints and scrapbooking supplies being delivered to me tomorrow so I'll have a lot more to do!

Cami! I am totally bowing to you - what a great, long post! LOL Hey you must be totally excited about your ER tomorrow - I am sending you tons of baby dust and great energy!! GOOD LUCK!

Katie Fabulous news for your AFC! I'm not sure what to make of them not doing bloodwork - but this is a totally different thing than a full IVF, right? I hope you have enough meds to produce a ton of beautiful follies.

beth I think seven fertilized is pretty good.... Great news for you guys. I am sure you'll get more information when the emby guy looks at everything... I hope this cycle is totally successful - how many will you be transferring?

babyranger Welcome to the crowd. Advanced maternal age? EEP! I'm only 38 so don't make me feel old - we're pretty average age for ivf... lol I'm sorry things haven't worked out so far.. but these are the big guns and your chances just raised dramatically.

samgarkay *clap* *clap* *clap* for nine eggies! Let us know when you get a fertilization report....

moorebaby Sounds like things are progressing wonderfully. We might be triggering around the same time. My day three e2 was 560 - is that high? My clinic said it was where they wanted it to be. Ten follies are nice, and isn't it good that they are all pretty close in size?

AFM Well So far everything is going well. I am feeling a wee bit 'heavy' in the lower abdomen, and my back is a little sore, but other than that, feel great. Slowly making my way around the city, but waiting for david to arrive before I do any serious exploring. I love being withsomeone when I do things so I can talk about it with them later. Funny thing happend... I am in a very large city... driving around yesterday in the depths of downtown. Stop at a light and there's this kid on a skateboard, begging on the corner. Had a to-go coffee cup on the end of a stick, hanging on a string, and spiky, multi colored hair and very unique clothing. I am a photographer, so I noticed this kid because I really wished I'd had my camera. After two full hours of driving around (was seriously lost for a while), I was on my way back to my hotel, fairly far away from where I saw this kid, and there she was, walking along the sidewalk, 'fishing pole' in one hand, skateboard in the other. What are the chances of that.... For some reason, I was somewhat freaked out. Anyhow. I should get back on track.

Tomorrow I have my first ultrasound to check for follies. My E2 on day three of stims was 560 - is that normal? Clinic said it was right where they wanted it... I'm nervous about tomorrow. Wish me luck?

Hey all-

You’re right, you’re right…I know you’re right (any “When Harry Met Sally” fans out there?). Starting today, I’m going to up my PMA game! Thank you SOOOO much for all of your kind words and support!!!

turtle0619: My bum’s sore too. I have red, itchy welts so I called my nurse. Do you have that too? We’re going to try a different kind of IM progesterone tonight to see if it makes a difference.

CamiWB: Oh my gosh, that’s so funny you should say that. My DH and I used to say that our DS had a face only a mother could love (God, I sound like a terrible parent!). The truth is, he was not the prettiest baby (think Seinfeld baby episode). He is a very cute toddler, though! Good luck today---I’m thinking of you!

katie99: Stimming starts tomorrow---woo-hoo! Is it weird that I’m so excited about your cycle?

claud662: Oh my gosh, what a funny name for my embaby!! So……Darth Vador it is! Hmmmm…I wonder if it’s dark AND evil?!? How did your workshop go last night?

beth84: YAYYYY for 7 embabies. Woo-hoo! Let us know when you’ll be PUPO!

Rosario: Wow, what a lot to take in. Are you doing okay? Do you feel alright? What did the doctor say? I’m thinking of you!!!

Hms: Yep, all of the above. Cramps…check. Tired…double check. Big boobs…check. Oh, the wait is torture.

Moorebaby: Let us know how your SnS goes tomorrow. Possible ER on Monday? That’s so close—YAY!! Your husband will do AWESOME. Go swimmers, go!

DandMe: Wow, I just checked out your blog. I’m soooo jealous you can write like that. I know you’re busy with your business, but have you considered writing a book? You’ll do great tomorrow. I bet you have a lot of follies with an estrogen of 560. I think my E2 was around 200 on day 2 and they got 20 eggs from me.

J&C and Arabsrcool: Where are you guys? I miss you!!

Okay, I meant to write to everyone, but my DS is feeling a little ignored. I’m thinking of you all and I’ll check back soon!

katie99 - I'm really glad to hear your baseline went so well this time!! I'm sure I will see you on the other side of the boards soon :) I actually met Shelby and her husband for lunch on Monday and we had a really nice time. I think it took us a while to get together between morning sickness and the holidays, but we worked it out :) She is just as wonderful in person as she was to all of us on the boards. I've been doing fine, but moving around is starting to get awkward. I've also had a bit of a cold, which has made sleeping difficult, so hopefully that will clear up soon.

franny - OMG, your Poopo story cracked me up!!! I wouldn't worry about any light exercise. Regular people don't even know at this point, and a lot of them do things we wouldn't dream of during the 2ww and the babies are fine. My one comment on the suppositories were that I thought they were icky and after a day and a half of that, I decided I would rather deal with the sore rump than have to deal with that mess. I asked to go back on PIO and my clinic said yes and said I wasn't the only one who felt that way. You might be able to go down to a smaller gage needle if you are having a lot of pain and bruising. I also used Emla cream (clinic can give you a prescription) to numb the area before the shot, which seemed to help me.

Hi ladies - I have been so MIA I literally have missed out on about 20 pages of posts - that shouldn't be too hard to catch up on.

I'm going to post quickly now because I go in for my transfer in about 3 hours. I have been working like a dog lately and just haven't been up for doing anything other than vegging on the couch or running around catching up on things during the weekends. I decided to take this whole week off of work because it was the only way to keep my work people off my back. My boss has actually been really supportive and even sent an e-mail to some co-workers telling them they have to come through him before contacting me.

I'm feeling very anxious - this is my first time with all of this so hoping it will be uneventful. We are doing an FET with two embryos. We have five snowbabies total so hopefully those will survive the thaw and we will have some left if we have to try again.

I will be sitting around for the next few days and plan to catch up on all 20+ pages I have missed.

Hi Ashley; Don't feel badly about not being able to respond to everyone - it's a real job to keep up with all the posts. Good luck with your transfer - we'll be anxiously awaiting news. This is all new to me as well, and even with all my information gathering (i'm a research hound) over the last two years of infertility and miscarriage.... I am floored by how fast this is happening, and how little I truly understand. I'm frankly terrified.. Terrified to hope it might work, terrified that it won't. However, I'm just taking it one day at a time and trying to distract myself. ((hugs)) Keep us posted!
