Hi girls!!! I have been busy & missing you guys. :D

Cami - So anxious to hear about your ER! How many eggs did you get? Are you feeling ok? Did you vomit in the car on the way home so that poor, driving DH had to listen, gag, pat your back lovingly and continue driving simultaneously? I did...it was funny! Seriously though, hope you are ok and things went well!

PUPO SISTERS - Kim, Laurie, Heather, Franny, Ashley - How are you all feeling? I am still cramping, but it comes and goes. Hopefully Viggo is digging in good! So...Viggo, Poopo & Darth! What a crowd! 8)

YAY KATIE for starting your stims tomorrow! BOO for rooster next door!

Sorry I haven't done my personals. I will catch up tomorrow for sure. To those I didn't mention, you are still in my thoughts & prayers!

Me - 32 - no issues
DH - 36 - low count

Hi Ladies~Just caught up and it seems as so many of you are going in for retrievals or transfers in the next few days!!! SO EXCITING!!! Yes Franny-this week is dragging on!!!! I just want to be PUPO!!!

Katie-a rooster?!?! ugghhh-I might be investing in a bee-bee gun!!! (that was mean) but I would not be happy to wake up to that and my dog would go crazy!!! YEAH for starting stims tomorrow night!!! I'm sure you are super excited!

rhonda-GL with your ET and hope that your snow babies are looking good overnight!

sonya-you seem to be progressing beautifully!! GL and I'm sure you can't wait to see DH!!!

Beth-that's great that 6 out of 7 are looking good! My clinic for some reasons leans towards 3dt because I had 19 that looked good on day 3 and they didn't want to wait it out for some reason :?:

marci-you are too funny!! I would push for February since you didn't go through the whole IVF process so your body shouldn't be under stress (big ovaries, lining, etc)

gi-good luck with the surgery and have fun under all those good meds!!

patypaty-Good Luck with the trigger!!!

Mandy-Good luck tomorrow and hope they get tons of follies!

Ester-looking good with your follies...grow babies grow!!

Samantha-can't wait to hear when they decide to put back your babies!!! How are you feeling today?

AFM...Sex workshop went great!! We had 25 parents (and actually 5 dads!!!) It was a great 2 hour talk about how to talk to your teens about having sex and sexuality! Lots of funny stories as I'm sure you can imagine!!
Nothing new to report...go for acupuncture Friday and then SnS Saturday and then hopefully they will have a better idea when my ET will be!! I am hoping for Monday the 1st because I have two Youth Group events on Sunday the 31st...so we will see:)

Argh... so the clinic called and they are not happy with my E2 level. It only went up from 560 to 580. The doctor raised my meds to 225 IU of Bravelle and asked me to come in again for E2 and Ultrasound tomorrow instead of waiting until Friday.

I'm nervous - what does this mean?

new at this

Post by nej »

Hi! I am new at all this but thought I might try this time. My name is Niki and I am going through my second round of IVF. My first one resulted in a chemical pregnancy. I am 34 years old and had the transfer done on the 17th and they transferred 3 embryos this time. I have miscarried twice so I am very nervous this time. Anytime I feel anything I get worried but I know it is to soon to even know if it has worked this time. I guess I am just nervous and looking for people who can relate. I find that my friends who haven't gone through this are supportive but they just don't get it, my husband is great but it would be nice to talk to other women who have gone through this as well.

Thanks,
Niki

Sorry for the shortened note last night. Had a rare opp to cuddle with my hubby, so I had to jump while I had the chance!!

so for a few personals...

misocial - sorry to hear that they may push you back to march. :( hopefully the nurse will have better news tomorrow. loved your post on the panic to the phone. can totally relate! here's to better news tomorrow.

sam - wow! 78% fert rate is fantastic! congrats! hoping they give you the best transfer day for your embies. I have had 3 day 3 transfers 2 of which were successful, so I'm a fan of day 3 even tho day 5 gets all the hype. so here's to whatever is going to get your BFP!!

Ronda- best wishes on your FET tomorrow!! are you going to transfer all 3 "good" ones? My lab only freezes blasts. :( so we've never had any frosties. hoping your snowbabies survive the thaw with flying colors! and for tomorrow am.... Image have a good one & don't forget the alarm!!

Beth - not long til you're pupo too! wow, it is all happening so fast for you all!! 6 of 7 looking good is fantastic!! grow embies grow!! Image

katie - thanks as always, for keeping up with everyone so well! You are amazing!!! Image
sounds like you, unlike Ronda, will not be needing an alarm, should you have any early morning appointments... sorry to hear about the yard bird your neighbors got. :( I know you said you're in the rural suburb, guessing they dont' have any farm animal restrictions?? yikes. sorry hun.

PatyPaty - congrats on triggering tonight!! woo hoo, just a bit longer!! Image

Mandy - good luck on your ER tomorrow!! Image

Claudia - glad your sex workshop went well. ;) do you do those often? Good luck for a ET date that works well with your scheudule. :) I'm hoping we can do ours before my DSS's get here, so I know the feeling!! Good luck!

DandMe- :( Sorry to hear about the E2 level issue. :( I'm sure they are just making sure you don't go into OHSS. Better to keep a close eye.

And a big Image to Nej and Meganlynn and anyone else new I missed out there! I can't keep up!!!

And to Babyhopes, Rlk1, Riley baby maybe, HMS, Turtle, and Ashleyncsu...

AFM - I had my mock embryo transfer today. My lovely RE complimented my "beautiful ovaries" - she is the only one who ever tells me that, i wonder why! ;) so all is well... start Lupron next Friday - 1/29 and am all set for ER around 2/16-2/18. Should get my meds on Friday this week. They switched it all around on me because i'm doing a "shared risk with medications" this time (not available with meds previously) so my nurse had to send me an updated calendar with new meds on it that i've never used before. I've always used Gonal-F, which is the same, but this time, I'm using Luveris instead of Menopur. Dr says it's ok, but they do have to increase my Gonal-F dosage to make up for the FHS not in the Luveris... ugh.. I've read not so great things about Luveris, but just in the way it feels to inject. :( oh well... The GOOD news is that i do NOT have PIO in my list of meds!!! WOOO HOOO! They now start off with the endometrin inserts... messy, but totally worth it. my backside looked like a pink & blue & purple dalmation last time. Image

Well, bed is calling my name. 4am gets here too soon. Image nitey nite lovely ladies.

mandy- good luck on your er tomorrow! let us know how it goes. i'll be thinking of you :-)

beth- 6 out of 7! that's great! if your et ends up being tomorrow...lots of luck!

roshaunda- your er is tomorrow...yay!

ronda- woohoo you'll be pupo tomorrow!

hope644- yay for beautiful embies! 1.29 will be here soon! once the injections start, it's all downhill girl! so jealous that pio is not on your list of meds. those injections are EVIL

niki- welcome! so you're pupo (pregnant until proven otherwise)...congrats! so if et (embryo transfer) was on the 17th, your beta must be at the end of next week, depending on whether it was a 3dt (3 day transfer) or a 5dt. am i correct? i wasn't sure if you knew the abbreviations. that's why i wrote them out for you :D i know what you mean about having someone to talk with who REALLY understands. i mean i have people in my life who are supportive, but they can't relate. only my wonderful sil, who did ivf/icsi 7 years ago & now has 6 year old triplet boys....i love those boys! i too had a m/c with my last ivf in september/october...it was awful, so i know how you feel. but i guess you just have to pick yourself up & move forward...pma (positive mental attitude)!

sonya- great minds think alike! i also duplicate the tab & then type as i look at the other tab. fingers crossed that the increase in bravelle will correct everything. please let us know what happens tomorrow.

samantha- 78%!!! you go girl! that's a great fert report!

afm...i have b/w & an u/s tomorrow. i have been taking my ganirelix in the am & follistim in the pm. can't wait to find out the progress of my follies.

lots of sticky baby dust all around ladies!

love ya,
es

Moorebaby - thank you for the reply. My last m/c was Sept/Oct as well and they weren't able to freeze anything so I went through the whole process again. I will go for the pregnancy test on the 29th (next Friday). I think I will just be nervous until then. I also appreciate you letting me know the abbreviations. I have been confused trying to figure them out on my own.

Thank you for welcoming me to the group!

well here I am at 4:45am unable to sleep so may as well say hello to everyone. yesterday was pretty non-eventful apart from the sore bum and constipation but i got a heating pad and I think last night's PIO shot actually went off w/o a hitch. also got some fiber which i'm hoping will 'relax' me.

4dpt...tick, tock, tick, tock...yesterday was the 7-year anniversary of DH and I meeting (we were set up by a friend) so we went out for burgers and I swear it was the best I've had in a long time. I scarfed that baby down along with a big ole' piece of cheesecake. Can you tell I've become obsessed with food in my PUPO days? Well, I'm actually obsessed with food all the time, but this is just a good excuse to be vocal about it. Thank god we live in a town where there's no lack of good food.

nej/Niki: welcome. i'm in my 2ww as well, my beta is just one (business) day after yours (Monday Feb 1). how are you feeling this time around?

es: sounds like the ganirelix is going well for you. i was on it for my last treatment in April and I remember preferring it to Lupron. I'm sure your follies are psyched to make it happen this time.

beth: Wow - last minute call on the transfer - well it sounds promising either way. This group seems to have a lot of 3dt girls. If it's today...we'll be thinking of you!

katie: where are you north of the city? we go upstate a lot to columbia county. i love the country up there. roosters? not so much. ugh! you'll just have to get a screaming baby to drown out the cock-a-doodles. we are all excited for you to start - you're such a wonderful supporter of everyone else - YAY FOR DAY ONE OF STIMS.

paty: trigger! the retrieval is going to be here before you know it.

sonya: I wouldn't be worried at all. a few of us had to come in for daily U/S and B/W - they just want to know if adjusting your meds makes a difference. what kind of scrapbooking projects are you working on?

claudia: I love the irony of giving a safe sex talk to a bunch of parents and then running home to take your IVF shots. in my opinion ART is the 'safest sex' you can have, 'cause there is none!

Hope: gorgeous ovaries! you are lucky not to have the PIO. i have to do both the shots and vaginal pills, but I wish I could just stick to a suppository.

samantha: do you know when your transfer is going to be yet? as with Beth, sounds good either way. I don't think 7 fertilized eggs is so few!

Jacqueline: I'm sure the cramping is a good sign. Viggo is settling in! I think my embies are still floating around...just taking their sweet time until they decide they're ready to get serious. Did you say you might POAS over the weekend? I'm so excited to hear the news! Viggo is a natural leader.

marci: I am rooting for Feb for you, too! let's see what the nurse says today.

gi: straight to the surgery next week sounds good - and general is even better. i love the feeling of going under, too.

msmac and Mandy: GL today! Hope they retrieve a nice bunch of eggs. Mandy - the little ones can do some catching up after the trigger, you'll see.

bei: any sign of AF?

rlk/Kim: did you switch your PIO shots?

franny: i hear ya about time dragging, sister. and i'm crazy busy at work. that's why i can't sleep tonight - i have a horrible client who's picking apart the entire project and we are bending over backwards for her. i take all that stuff too personally. ugh.

okay, it's now 5:41am which means i've been catching up and reading for an hour (with one break to make coffee)! i guess it's time to turn on the morning news and think about....breakfast![/b]
