I see there was no typing fest last night, I could actually catch up pretty quick - where is everyone?
So since it seems to not be a complete day for me unless I fixate on something ivf related  its stuck in my head now that our last try with this RE will be an experiment in ivm - so I'll be the third patient that he's tried this with. Now I'll be thinking of my as Guinea Pig #3
BTW - guinea pigs 1 & 2 were bfn, so I know RE is itching for a bfp
Yes, I've lost my mind, I'm well aware of it

Franny -Umm... just so you know Google has crashed and is now permantly offline - oops I mean offline til 1/29. Sorry no more Dr. Google for you. I know honey, its awful - its like its designed to drive you insane.
You must resist the urge - yeah, right
And the more people tell you to just try to stay busy, we all know thats completely impossible! You and POOPO just have to get through 1 more week - so whatever guilty pleasure will make you happy - go for it :D
We will obsess right along with you!

Cami- yiippee for 10 embies! wishing you dividing dust! PUPO tom!

Hope -Wow, it must be so hard to see your DH hardly ever. Any change in schedule anytime soon? hugs to you

Kim -Did you hide the sticks or better yet & have DH hide them?

Ronda -YAY PUPO!!! When is your beta? I just finished the Twillight saga and was so sucked in from the first page, I was sad to finish them, what a style of writing she has! I'm reading her other book now - The Host
Kind of so-so. Rest up!

Es -UGH! What an experience! Thats just what you DONT need during the stress of a cycle! I'm sorry that happened to you, and yes, it is worth mentioning to RE - what if she does that to someone not as sharp as you? I've had "lazy nurse" now "new nurse" - you've unfortunately gotten "clueless nurse" UGH!

Marci -I checked back so many times yesterday for your update - Where is your RE? Now I'm mad at your clinic too! GRRRRRR!
How hard is it to call someone back? Thats been waiting a week? UGH!
Squeak on Ms. President! - signed, Guinea Pig #3

Positive thinking -Dont get nervous - lupron works great for most women, thats why its the most used protocol. But for the few it over suppresses we call it evil. you'll do fine and big YAY for getting started soon, the waiting is so hard - just a little bit more, you're alomost there!

Paty - Hope ER went great today! get some rest!

Roshaunda -Where are you? How did your ER go? Thinking of you

Miyaya - Dont stress, its so early on in your cycle, you'll most likely get a dosage raising call later - and you've got lots of follies! Glad that you're back now too!

Sam - Whoo Hoo for beautiful looking embies! PUPO on Sunday then!

hugs & PMA all around - xoxo

Hi Everyone! Sorry I've been MIA this past week. After my BFN I needed to step back and figure out my next steps. I'm feeling much better now! :D

Franny & CamiWB -- Thanks for sharing your experiences on Ganirelix. How many days did you take it? I'm nervous about this next cycle. I am difficult to suppress and have even ovulated on BCP's.

Hi Katie -- You are making me feel better about the Ganirelix cycle. RE says he's using it to "hopefully get more eggs out of me". I had only 6 last time. How's the rooster? Reminds me of a story an acquaintance once told me that he bought a couple of chickens to save money on eggs. I laughed so hard he never spoke to me again. I mean.... eggs are pretty cheap. Probably cheaper than chicken feed/bedding/cages/cleaning up after them! AND not to mention he lived in the burbs too!

moorebaby -- How many days of Ganirelix did you end up taking? When is your ER? Best of luck to you! Keep us posted. I'm thinking of you.

Rlk -- Every time I say I'm not going to POAS, I end up doing it anyway. I've always seen a negative. People I know who did IVF and had BFP's did NOT POAS ahead of their beta. Now I think I jinxed it. :( No more. I hope yours turns positive quick.

Misocial
-- Thanks hun. I've missed being around too. This BFN took more out of me than I thought. I needed a few days to regroup. But I'm back in it. How are you feeling today? This process is such a drain on you and you are allowed to feel what you feel and vent accordingly. I hope you feel better soon. It's a rollercoaster and you were at the bottom. It will go back up again. Hang in there.

Arabsrcool -- Yup... A short ski trip is just what the Dr ordered! Thanks for the advice. Did you have FET last Wed? How'd it go? Thinking of you.

Beth84 -- Best of luck on your 5dt tomorrow! 6/7 looking good sounds great! Keep us posted.

Karen -- Yay for starting stims! Wishing you lots of healthy follies!

To all the PUPO girls -- Laurie, Kim, Jacqueline, Heather, Franny, Ashley, Rhonda, and Niki -- Thinking of you all and excited for the slew of BFP's that we have around the corner. Hang in there girls.

To those of you I didn't get to. I'm thinking of you. I just need to get caught up on this board. It's overwhelming to have 10 pages to catch up on!

AFM
-- As for my ski trip... we moved it up and planned it last night. DH and I were both able to get 2/3 - 2/7 off and are heading to Jackson Hole, Wy! We are using FF miles and got a nice hotel we've stayed at before for $60/night. I had a great Expedia coupon. We were going to go the week of 2/21, but it would've pushed my next cycle into April because my clinic closes down 3/14-3/27. Soooo... RE wanted me to start BCP's now. Currently I'm on BCP's and will have my baseline 2/10. If all's well, I'll stim 2/12 and have ER the week of 2/21. Does that still put me in this group? My other news is that I've decided to start accupuncture for fertility. I figure, it can't hurt. And there's decent evidence to support it. I know some of you are donig it... how have your experiences been? Do you have a comparison between a cycle with and without accupuncture you can share with me? I have my initial consultation and first session today after work. I'm planning to go 10 times between now and just after ET. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your support everyone. Baby dust to all!

sdc -- just saw your post. You are PUPO also! From what I know, it's really too early to have true symptoms in the 2ww. The progesterone alone will cause you to have many pregnancy symptoms. If you POAS, you might get a false negative because the HCG might not be high enough in your urine to be detected until 9-10dpt. That's typically when your true beta is anyway. If you want to be prepared, then test just before going for your beta on beta day. Best wishes to you. I hope you're BFP!

Hi Ladies!!

Sorry to be MIA yesterday but I did just check up on all the posts....sorry if I don't get to everyone and I have only 10 minutes before acupuncture but I will try and get to most of you!!

Franny-all the cramping/pulling and symptoms will make you go CRAZY!!! I used to be OBSESSED with twoweekwait.com and would convince myself each month that I was pregnant but the truth is the PIO creates the same symptoms so it's so hard to figure out!! Try to relax and take it easy and wait 6 more days until beta!!! Will you POAS? I think I'm going to this cycle but I will wait and see!!! xoxo

Katie-how is stims going? When is your next apt? How is handling the rooster next door? Where in NY are you? I think you said by Saratoga on another thread but I can't remember!!

Lou-glad to see that you are already back in the game and that you and DH scheduled a nice vacation!!! Your schedule definitely keeps you here with us so glad you are back

rlk1-TOO EARLY TO POAS!!! Don't be discouraged and keep up the PMA!! Darth is just being evil now but don't let it get you down!!! When is your actual beta test?

marci-any word from the RE?!?! I would be sooooo mad and call them non-stop until they scheduled me for my follow up apt! (Or as Katie referred to it the f/u apt!!!)

Beth & Cami-I will be thinking of you tomorrow! How many embies will you put back in?

Samantha-great that you are having your ET on Sunday!! Good Luck!

Ester-how rude of that nurse!! That would sooo piss off me and DH and he would probably tell them off!!! I'm so glad that you finally cleared it up but she should be embarrassed when she sees you again!!

sonya-how did your E2 levels do with the increase in meds? Don't stress- I also had tons of ewcm and it's totally normal because we have so many follicles producing estrogen!!! GL tomorrow and can't wait to hear the update.

miyaya-let us know what the RE says as a follow up from today. Don't stress-they will manage it accordingly!

Sorry to all those I missed. Having a blackberry feeds my obsession with this board!! Love to everyone.

AFM I go on tomorrow and then they up my Estrace and hopefully will know when my transfer will be!!! Send thickening of lining vibes my way!! I'm hoping for close to 6 but we will see!!!! Off to be a pin-cushion at acupuncture

Gooooodd Morning....Well I do sound a little too enthousiastic...I am at home getting bored and reading the post is my highlight of the day so I an excited to write to you girls even if nothing is going on...

Moorebaby OMG I cannot believe it. There is no excuse to be rude. I am usually very nice and I dont like to comlaign much because nobody is perfect, I am very understanding but in this case, I would do a written letter to your RE because the nurses are there to serve you, not the other way around. They have no right to be rude or careless. They MUST pay attention and they MUST listen to your concerns. That is their job... :x We take drugs, we are emotional and personally I am such a baby when I get my Sns but even if you look like the Pope, this nurse should have double checked after your first confusion.

Gi: I am supposed to do my ER on 2/21, yes we are doing it at the same time. Very excited to have an IVF sister. I see you are in Ireland. I am originally from France but I am been living in Washington DC for 10 years now. Say hi to Europe for me. I miss it sometimes.

Lou71: I am sorry you had a BFN last time but you are back so quick, this is exciting. I am going to have ER on the same day as you. :P

Turtle: I am a hippi girl too and a tree hugger and everything you can think of...so relax, and I dont know if you enjoy reading but it is a great way to think about something else. Stress is not good for you, light a cancel, and imagine yourself on the beach (or anywhere you want)

Love and baby dust to everyone. I am going back to my boring day...it is hard to be unemployed... I want a job...well actually it is perfect for IFV so I am not stressed out by work...

Good afternoon all,
Well I squeeked this am, several times in fact. I finally got a call back from the nurse who was shocked  that I never got a phone call from the doctor yesterday. Of course she is not in on Friday, but the nurse assured me that she e-mailed her my number.

Well I let her know my frustrations and concern----What are we doing here and what I am supposed to be doung?

Appearently we are waiting for AF which should come 1-2 weeks after I stopped my meds (stopped on the 15th, AF should be here by 29th??) anyway when I get AF, then If needed, I will do BCP to get on their schedule. That is all the info she can give me, :x I at least wanted some reassurance that I was not going to be bumped because no one would call me back with a plan. I really hate feeling at the mercy of someone else. It's not like I could get pissy and raise a big stink, we have too much invested here.
Hope all is well with everyone, personals later.

Signed still waiting.................. Marci

Hi Ladies!

I'm back, just been resting since the ER yesterday. I had some pains, and cramps, but other than that, I am doing better today. I got my fert report, they ICSI'd 7 eggs, 5 fertilized, but one was abnormal. So ladies, we have 4 waiting for their mommie. I am doing a 3dt, so my embyologist told me they will give me a grade report tomorrow. ET will be on sunday 01/24 as long as my babies growing.

I have soooooo much to catch up on these posts. I haven't read any in like 2 days and wow girls, we got alot going on here. I will try and catch up on my reading and hopefully get to some personals.

Prayers out for everyone XOXO

Karenthescorpio: Yaaayyy for stims! I can’t wait until AF comes so that I can start mine! Let me know how it goes with you.

Moorebaby: Don’t you just hate when you’re not listened to?? How many times did you try to tell her that you didn’t know what she was talking about!!! Really!

Marci: I’m really sorry that you’re sad. I’m very new to this and I know how frustrating. I do think that it’s important for your dr to keep you informed…at this time, the less stress you have, the better. I would def give him a call tomorrow and get some answers.

Franny: Waiting is HELL!!!!!! Just stay away from google! You’re right! It’s evil! You’ve made it a week, hang in there, we’ll help get you through the rest! Everything will be fine and I wish you all the best!

Lou: I’m glad that you’re going to get away for a bit! Get some rest sweetie and take this time for you and DH!

Msmac: many congrats!!! Don’t worry, your babies are going to grow!!! Have you decided how many you will transfer? I’m stuck on that. Here is German my dr says that the max is 3 but I have to sign docs if I want that…I think that he is going for only 2.

Katie: Thanks for moving me to the AF stage! Everyday I’m like is it here yet!!! Awww c’mon!!!! Any other time it’s like I’M HERE AND I’M NOT GOING ANYWHERE! HERE COME THE CRAMPS, GET USED TO IT!!!! Now I’m just waiting…….

To anyone that I missed, it was not intentional, I’m picking up again so that I won’t get really behind again…gotta get my fingers ready!
Ladies, I’m playing catch up, I thought that I could type until I starting reading these posts…the fastest typist in the world couldn’t match you all!!!!

AFM, again, waiting on AF and nervous about these injections. First, I was supposed to do Merional injections, well the pharmacy here in Germany didn’t have it so the dr told them to give me Menogon (sp??) well, with the Merional, I would only have to mix one liquid and one powder…well with the Menogon, I have to mix 1 liquid with 3 powders…the nurse was like do you understand?? I was like NOOOOO…that sounds like a lot of powder..is it just me?? Anyone else use Mengon or have to mix injections this way??

Roshaunda--great news on the fert report!! Congrats and best of luck on Sunday!! I'm thinking of you--we will be PUPO together!!!!

Marci--that sounds like a bit of progress anyway--sometimes it just takes one sympathetic ear to get things moving--maybe this nurse will be your ticket to some answers!!

Franny--how goes the distraction game? I would tell you that the bridal expo is in Boston this weekend, but I don't think that will help either of us....:)

Ester--I'm still scratching my head from your story. It's truly unbelievable. Honestly, this whole process is dehumanizing enough without adding mistaken identity to the mix.

Katie--how are you feeling--other than tired from the rooster?

Sam--congrats on your great-looking embies!! I'll be thinking of you on Sunday, as well!! Big weekend for us!!!

Kim--it's too early!!!! I got a negative HPT a couple of days before my beta when I had the chemical pregnancy and it should have been positive because my beta was 35--so I don't think we should give up yet!!!! Put down those sticks!!!!!

Beth--good luck tomorrow!! I'm heading in at 8:30 for acupuncture and then transfer at 9:30--will be thinking of you (and feeling your.....discomfort?!). PUPO tomorrow!!!!

To all the ladies who are currently PUPO whom I didn't get directly (Heather, Jacqueline, Ashley, Ronda, Laurie, Sdc, Niki)--sticky thoughts to all of you!!! I hope you're not going too crazy during the 2ww--I will be tapping you for coping advice hopefully tomorrow!!!

Paty--hope everything went great today and that you are feeling alright!!! Hope they got lots of eggs!!!!

Gi--have a wonderful weekend with your friend and try to relax!!! Thanks for checking in on me--I appreciate all of your support!!

Sonya--sounds like things are going pretty well!!! I'm glad to hear that you have so many follicles and I agree about not worrying about the EWCM. You gotta love that estrogen!!!

Claudia--tons of thickening dust coming your way!!! Hope you had a relaxing acupuncture session!!! I'm doing that myself tomorrow morning.

Lou--I'm loving your attitude--it sounds like you're like me and need a plan to focus on to move forward. I think the acupuncture can only help and it makes you feel like you are doing something. Also--a ski vacation can help as well--you definitely deserve some fun and a little break--so enjoy!!!!!

Latrell--doing an AF dance for you!!! It will get here soon--I know it!!! I had to mix Luveris powder with the Gonal-F and the Ganirelix. I didn't think I was doing it right the first couple of times--but I got the hang of it. I assume these are subcutaneous injections (in the abdomen?). If so--no big deal!!!!

Ok--I am at work so I should leave this board alone for like...ten minutes? I know I missed a couple of you and I am very sorry--I was going from memory and my notes from before. I am thinking great, positive, sticky, growing, thickening, etc. thoughts for all of you!!!!!!! Franny--stay away from Google!!!!!

Oh, AFM, I called the nurse to check on the beans this afternoon, because our biggest problem has been getting them to survive to day 3--and I didn't want to get there and be disappointed again that only 2 made it--so I decided to call. Anyway--she said that so far, all 10 are still kicking--though it looks like there are two 2-cells and one 3-cell that might arrest before tomorrow. Other than that--the remaining 7 are in the 4 and 5 cell range (which is where they are supposed to be today, I guess?) and we have one 6-cell! I really hope we get some quality embryos tomorrow (and...heaven forbid...actually get to freeze a couple!!). So, that's all I've got for now--best wishes to everyone and thanks again for all the support!!!

Cami: You brought up a good question. The dr. didn't tell me where to do my injections. The pharmacy said in my hip or thigh...I'm going in on day 3 to do the first injection anyway because this is a mess! My doc and I are going to have a nice long talk about pertinent information next week.
