I just read three pages of posts and am sorry to say    that I just can't hardly keep up to do personals! I feel terrible if someone is left out! Please believe me when I say that I am really following all stories and love the updates.

Don't feel bad about not mentioning me in your personals since I've missed two days of doing them myself.

Have a quick question since we are talking about questionable actions.. here's what happened to me a couple of days ago.

I am really hard to get blood out of. The nurse who tried *without success* was getting pretty frustrated. She turned around from the counter and I noticed that her finger was bleeding pretty good.

"Did you poke yourself?" I asked, shocked at seeing her finger bleeding so badly.

"No, it's a paper cut," she replied... and started to get a bandaid from the drawer (the band-aids they put on your needle poke afterwards). I noticed that she had no gloves on (none of the nurses do) and she had blood on both fingers from trying to clean the cut (with gauze) and placing the bandaid.

I watched as she finished with the task, and then started to proceed with a second attempt at getting my blood draw... WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS. I knew she was going to use her fingers to poke around my arm to find my vein, and I knew she hadn't washed her hands that had fresh blood on them. I also knew that needle was going to go right through those blood cells and into my arm.

I asked her if someone else, with more experience, might want to do the draw, because the little room for blood draws is right next to a very full and very quiet waiting room. I didn't want to question her in front of everyone.

The more I think about it, the more ticked off I am. I mean, I KNOW I don't have any diseases - we were literally tested up the yin-yang.. but I don't know anything about her. She could be a carrier of anything for all I know.

Should I tell the doctor?

Oh, by the way.. nothing to report here except that I spent six hours yesterday and today in a ceramics studio painting, and that my belly is bloated and my back is hurting! Another ultrasound/bloodwork tomorrow morning and will report then.

Many hugs, sistas!

hi guys - it's been two days and I feel like this is a real hen party! all the newcomers (welcome!) and pages of support and confessions and updates and frustrations - this could become the most popular thread yet. i love it. i feel like we're on the brink of a wave of BPFs.

rlk: sorry your BFP won't come the day you wanted it to - I don't quite understand how they calculate when to do the beta. Mine is 15 days past transfer which feels forEVER. all the more incentive to POAS, right? (sorry Katie!!)

sonya: this sounds like a dream vacation to me - practicing art and exploring a new city all day... I know you'll be happy when DH joins you this weekend you kick into ER-mode. That nurse should be wearing gloves - and of course wash her hands! I probably sound like a tattle tale now after Es's story, but yes, I would tell your RE, too.

marci: so glad you have a plan now. maybe they'll put you on ganarelix like some of the other girls here? Sounds like you, Latrell and Dodo are both waiting for AF.

dodo: I'm not clear what messed up your body - the special 25 hour diet? And the receptionist was fired for not giving you an appointment with your acupuncturist?

Tracy: I don't think that sounds like a low number of follies at baseline or an alarming dose of Follistim. You've probably read here that lots of us had our doses upped during the cycle.

Franny: Definitely get down to Boston and find something fun and totally distracting to do. Last weekend before my transfer DH and I went downtown had a wonderful brunch, walked around Soho, and then went to MOMA. The day flew by and I totally forget to call my RE and check on the status of my embies!!! I just showed up the next day for my transfer and 3 of 4 had fertilized. That was great news for us - so it felt like a sign that I should be letting my mind go instead of obsessing which I'm so inclined to do.

Cami and Beth: have a wonderful transfer today! it's your time to rest up and join the rest of us!

Ronda and Niki: Yay PUPO! welcome!

Paty - let us know the report!

msmac: good luck at your transfer Sunday!

AFM: I have been keeping myself busy this week as things continue to be crazy at work. I've even been staying late most nights, so I just come home and collapse (after reading this). The heating pad I got seems to be working TOO well as I feel no soreness anymore from the shots...I hope that's okay. NO symptoms other than bigger boobs. I had about 30 minutes of AF-like cramping on 4dpt, but then it went away and I wondered if my mind was just playing tricks on me. nothing else. even the constipation is going away! So I feel totally normal like i should be going to the gym or having cocktails with friends neither of which i can do. sigh. Franny - i still have 9 full days before my beta!

Have a great day everyone,

xo

Just a quick note - I woke up at 4:30 this morning out of anticipation, and then the valium knocked me out, so I really need a nap.

But, transfer went reasonably well. I'm a little disappointed, because only 4 made it to today, two that looked good, one a little worse, and the last not great. So, we put in the top 3, and think the 4th probably won't make it to the freezer. DH has named them Hokey, Dokey and Pokey. Only 9 days till beta!

Personal later - I promise.

Katie,

my beta is scheduled for 2/3 if you want to add it to the list. Glad to hear someone else is into the Twilight series. I just finished reading the series again for the 2nd time. I've watched the movie Twilight and went to theater to see New Moon (which was very good). I was wondering about her other book, sounds like if may not be up to the Twilight standard.

Beth84,

remember it only takes one!. Glad to hear I have a 3 embie transfer sister. I also transferred 3. Go Hokey, Pokey and Dokey!

claud662,

glad to hear your lining is looking better. I will keep my fingers crossed for a Saturday transfer.

rlk,

WTF???? why do they want to wait so long for beta?? I feel for you!

Sonya,

ewwwww, the nurse was bloody and didn't wash or wear gloves? That is just wrong. All the testing we have to pay for before starting IVF, and a nurse could be the one to infect you? I would complain.

Cami and beth,
PUPO!!! welcome to the 2ww!

msmac,

one more day to transfer! you will be PUPO soon.

Marci,

glad RE finally called. That is one more thing down. Now just the wait for evil AF.

Sorry for all I missed. TTYL

Jeez guys! I know I messed up by not checking in last night, but wow! how much typing did you all do? Are you all trying to have me go stalker -like? and check in every few hours? it seems that way! Well, if thats the only way to keep up...

Jacqueline -Ooooooh you sneaky thing! Good for you - I'd do it too, if it were possible! YAY! cant wait til its official! :D

Franny -If I send you any more sticky thoughts, you'll be trying to peel yourself off of the wall! Hope you two are on your way to a distracting weekend in Boston! love ya :D

Lou -Darn right - you're with us! We think you are so special that you'll be in 2 spots on the list! I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better and making me jealous of your vacation! Although, I'd like to see Jackson Hole, skiing, for me, down an icy mountain, at 90mph? hee heee
That would be me in a cast! Have a great time - and be careful please!

Claudia -Yiiipppeee for a good lining! And more time for it to thicken even more! We'll keep that dance going for you! I'm crossed for a Sat FET! You asked about my next appt? With ivm theres just 2 appts (baseline & trigger -on tues!) We're in Orange county, near the NJ border
probably N of you near Sussex. How far are you?

SDC -Welcome to the craziness! - the 27th is coming!

Marci -I was checking for your posts yesterday, boy, your RE takes her time, huh? I'm glad you FINALLY got your f/u call - even though it took forever. Yes, I had already put you on "waiting for AF" I'm so happy that she didnt push you back til march. So now, back to the waiting UGH!
Signed, Guinea Pig #3

Roshaunda - YAY for 4 fert!! GL tomorrow! You'll be PUPO!! :D

Latrell -Doing the hurry up AF dance still - where is she already?

Cami -PUPO!! And cheers to good embies! :D get some rest!

Kim-GRRRRRRR! My clinic does a 15d beta for fresh! And they wont change your date at all - I tried last time. The only good thing about having such a long beta is at least you KNOW by that time, there is no doubts on results - but still UGH!

Tracy - I dont think guinea pigs eat roosters, but foxes do, and now come to think of it, its been quiet over there... hee heee actually someone told me they also got Fancy Hens - guess he only goes for the high maintenence types? 8-10 follies are good, and 450iu day is a medium dose - once my RE tortured me for 15 days of 750iu day - OMG I was Sooo miserable. GL! When is your next appt?

Dodo -I was wondering where you were - so glad you're feeling better now - a month sick? I'm so sorry, you must have been miserable
did donor start stims yet? When will you start estrogen? Yes, still cold here but thankfully theres been no more snow :D

Beth -Hooray PUPO!! Hokey, Dokey, and Pokey? Oh, I love it!! :D
Now go hit the couch and rest up!

Ronda -I'm planning to reread the series as soon as I finish the Host - which I'm 3/4 through, its different, not bad, but not the "I cant put this book down!" feeling like the twillight saga - sigh
How are you doing with the 2ww?

hugs & prayers all around! - xoxo

beth- yay you're pupo! all you need is 1, so pma, pma! i love dh's names...very cute :-) so your beta is scheduled for 2.1?

claudia- fingers crossed for uterus getting thicker. a week from today, hopefully you'll be pupo!

heather- i remember, when i had my 1st cycle back in september, i had af-like cramps for like an hour on days3 & 4. it is ABSOLUTELY ok that you don't feel any soreness in the bum...actually, that's GREAT  i hope i'm the same way. my boobs got bigger as well, but i think that's from the progesterone.

sonya- you ABSOLUTELY should tell someone. that is ridiculous. what the hell is wrong with our nurses???!!! :x when's dh supposed to join you? when are you thinking your er will be? is the 28th still looking like a possible date?

marci- so glad that re FINALLY got back to you. sounds like there's a new plan set in place. crossing fingers for af to get here soon!

hope644- i did have a chat with re & another nurse. believe me, i'm still fuming.

tracy- i took 175 of follistim for my the 1st 3 nights. then they lowered it to 150 & i took that for 6 nights. today i'm to stop, as i will be triggering. i also took ganirelix for the last 5 mornings. unfortunately, i don't know what my antrical follicle count was. i do know that as of this morning, i had about 14 follicles, with half of them in the 15-19 range.

niki- how nice of dh to take the day off & stay home with you :-)

kim- i'm sorry they moved your beta by an extra day. what is wrong with them? don't they know the 2ww is already stressful enough???

laurie- hoping the days fly by for you & thursday gets here soon!

cami- how did your et go today? how many did you end up transferring?

roshaunda- any news about your embabies?

lou- i'm so glad that you'll be back to join us! that ski trip sounds like it's what you & dh need to get your mind off things & de-stress. about the ganirelix...i ended up taking ganirelix for 5 mornings. thanks for keeping me in your thoughts :-)

jacqueline- it's getting close to your bfp! your beta is in 3 days! how are you feeling?

franny- you CAN do it girl! you're halfway there! the wait does suck...i know. books, movies, puzzles....NO google, lol!

paty & mandy- how's everything going? when's your et scheduled for?

afm....they just called! my estrogen came back at 2858! i will be triggering tonight at 11:45. er is scheduled for 10:45am monday...i have to get there at 10...woohoo! i do have to go for b/w tomorrow, just to check estrogen & hcg levels. oh yeah, dh's tesa is scheduled for 7:00am monday...i hope it's not too painful. he only gets valium for it...no going under...poor thing.

lots of sticky baby dust all around ladies!

love ya,

My oh my  ,

this board is on fire :D Of course which is wonderful because it means that everyone is on their way to BFP's :D :D :D I can't keep up. There are so many of us so close to each other that it's hard to keep up.

To everyone that is PUPO: hang in the there. I can't imagine trying to keep busy to keep your mind off of the wait. I will be PUPO soon and trying to figure out how I can keep my insanity for two weeks.

Beth- congratulations for joining the PUPO club

claudia- prayers your uterus gets thicker. My was only 6 when they went ahead and did the trigger. My RE said it will thicken when I start taking the endometrin. Yours sounds great and you still have a week more of stims. My RE said since I just had my D&C right a month before everything started he expected it to be somewhat thin.

Marci- I'm glad they finally got you back on schedule, this time it will work out great, no lupron for you!

moorebaby- yeah for trigger :D

cami- I'm sure your ET went well, yeah for being PUPO

paty and mandy- prayers your ET goes well, your almost PUPO too!

All my ladies stimming and down regulating( there is alot of us)- how is everything going?

Katie- wow with IVM you don't have a bunch of SnS, thats great!

I know I didnt get to everyone personally and I'm sorry :( I seem to can't catch up  My prayers and best wishes go out to everyone one of you ladies. I don't know what I would do without you all. Since DH is deployed you all have been GOD SENT and I just want to say thank you! I'm not going to cry, I'm not going to cry

AFM- I was on the phone with my DH when my embryologist called. Of course I have been praying my embabies hang and there and my DH is trying so hard to be supportive soooo many miles away. I love him to death. He tried giving me a hug over the phone and I just about fell apart. I'm not going to cry, so my my 4 embabies are still hanging in their, 2 have 4+ cells and 2 have 4, so my ET is at 8 AM in the morning. I hoping we transfer two, my DH wants to transfer two. She said she will look for one big head fast swimmer and one big head slow swimmer so we can have a boy and a girl. We just said it doesn't matter, we just pray for two healthy babies.

Thanks for all the prayers and baby dust ladies. Love all you girls :D [/b]

Cami - how was transfer?

Roshaunda - I'll be thinking of you tomorrow! I'm so sorry your DH can't be there with you.

Samantha - GL to you too tomorrow!

Kim - 15 days post transfer, that is torturous!

Tracy - don't feel bad about your numbers - quality not quantity. 4-5 on each side is plenty. Also, I don't know how old you are - but my RE said that 9-10 is an average response for my age (37).

Marci- I'm SO glad your RE called and you are back on track again!

dodo - I hope your bloodwork comes back with good results and they get you on BCP.

Sonya - What terrible practices from your nurse. I think you should definitely mention it. It's not like you're asking them to fire her, but just to review basic health practices! How great that you're doing artsy things up there. I hope hubby arrives soon!

Heather - I hear you about the wait - it's so much worse because those are the things I usually do to distract myself - go out with the girls, or exercise, and now all I have is internet, TV and work (as of Monday).

Claudia - 6 does sound great for this point - GL for more thickening!

Es- Yay for triggering! And good luck to DH on the TESA. He might be one of the few husbands who understands some of what we're going through for this.

Wow you all go from one extreme to the other - where is everyone today?
I have to say that while its nice to not have the 4hr R/T drive for monitoring all the time, at least you get some feedback on how you're progressing. With ivm/ivf I'm doing my injections and just hoping for the best. It just seems so weird to me to trigger on tues with no feedback at all! I mean I know that they're suppossed to still be small, but I dont feel anything at all! Usually I feel something by now (stims day 3) I'm kind of nervous to be flying blind here. After all the cycles this past year, I'm all about lets try something different, as long as it works this time! UGH!

Heather -I'm crossed that your 4dpt cramping is from implantation!
The timing is right! How are you holding up during the dreaded 2ww?

Tracy -Yay for starting stims! Good luck! grow those follies!

J&C -Where are you lately? how did your SnS go? are you still on for thursday?

Samantha -Whoo Hoo! PUPO tom! Relax and let your DH cater to you!

Jaydentd -Where are you? How is stims going?

Es -Yippeee trigger! Hope DH doesnt freak out over the weekend worrying about monday!

Roshaunda -Dont cry! But on the other hand you're simply brimming over with hormones right now - so cry all you want to girl!
Wishing you the best of luck tomorrow! You thank your DH for us for being where he is and I know how hard it is for him to not be there with you - big hugs! GL! You'll be PUPO tom!

Sruppe -Welcome to the craziness! I'll add you to our list tom. If you go to the General forum, 3rd from the top is a list of abbreviations
Good luck starting stims tonight!

Hello Ladies!!!

All I have to say is HOLY COW to this board!!! (Thanks for checking in katie!!) I am so sorry that I've been MIA. I just started a Pampered Chef business, which is taking off quite nicely. Even though I'm not checking the board daily, I am praying daily for each of us.

My SnS on Friday went great. I always took extra time stimming when we were doing a fresh cycle, so I expected this first FET cycle to be the same. But my lining looks great, and my b/w was good, so my transfer is set for this coming Thursday. I can't believe it's already this week! We will thaw the 4 frosties that we have and will transfer all 4 if they make it.

I'll have family in this week, so I'll be sparse again, but I'll try to check back later this week. I can't wait to see all of the BFP rolling in soon!!

Prayers and sticky/snuggly baby dust to us all!! :D
