Hey Katie, you're doing a wonderful job keeping track of us all. Thanks :D I didn't start the stim. My doctor said my insulin levels were high for my age and she don't want me to start until is normal. I'm back to bcp for 2 more weeks and bloodwork. If is normal by then I would start lupron again. I was upset at the beginning but she is right. There is a higher miscarriage rate if insulin levels are not normal.
I'm keeping my fingers cross for all the pupo ladies.

sruppe - welcome! Good luck with the stims!

J&C - Yeah, keeping up here is hard, but don't worry about it. Check in with us when you can. (ps. I love Pampered Chef stuff.) Great that you're doing so well pre-transfer!

Meganlynn- I do ICSI as well (I think a bunch of us do). For couples with certain problems, it's a great technology to help the sperm fertilize the egg. Prior to ICSI, I wouldn't have been able to do IVF at all, since my DHs sperm can't penetrate the egg naturally. The down side is that the process damages some of the eggs, but an average of 70% fertilized. I think it's primarily done with male factor infertility, but if they're worried that you will only have a few eggs, they may do ICSI to forestall any fertilization problems. Have they told you why they want you to do ICSI?

jaydentd - I'm so sorry for your delay! It must be frustrating, even though it's for the best.

AFM - on my second and last day of bed rest. I'm definitely bored, but DH is being very sweet - bringing me meals and eating in bed with me. Also, one of our cats has always been a momma's boy, and he hardly leaves me, even though it's nice outside, and his brother is out playing. Yesterday, I think I taught him how to play fetch.

Love to all the other ladies!

Hello ladies-

I wanted to check in now that so many of you are close to your BFP!!!

Katie-good luck Tuesday  I have everything crossed and am praying hard that you have a whole "basket of eggs".

J & C-Good luck Thursday  You will be PUPO soon!!

To the PUPO ladies-I am sure it is torture to go through 2WW! It will be worth it all for that BFP.

So...I started AF last Tues. and called the RE excited because I thought we could start earlier. Turns out they have a specific cycle time so they put me on BCP for two weeks. Then, hopefully, I will get AF again (I know, such a weird thing to hope for) so I can start Estrodial by Feb. 11th. I guess that is when I'll get more info. about my time schedule. I feel like I am in constant limbo and just always waiting-but my time will come soon!

I'll keep checking in-let the BFPs roll! Keep the faith.

Hi all--

I'm feeling EXCEPTIONALLY lazy this morning, so I'm only going to attempt to do a few personals! Lazy, lazy, lazy!

beth84: I hope Hokey, Dokey, and Pokey are snuggling in nice and tight! Sending out some sticky vibes for you, girl!

Arabsrcool: Not sure why they test so late---I really don't see the point! How are you holding up? I'm sooooo curious to see how many took when you get that BFP!

moorebaby: How did the trigger go? YAYYYY for your ER tomorrow---so exciting! Keep us posted!

meganlynn: ICSI isn't a bad thing. Were there sperm issues? I'm pretty sure that the pregnancy rate is the same whether patients have to do ICSI or whether they do traditional IVF!

msmac: You're PUPO!!!! Woo-hoo!! How did the transfer go? Did they say when your Beta is? I'm thinking of you--REST UP!!

sruppe: How did the shots go last night? It's daunting at first, but then it becomes routine!

katie99: I can imagine it's hard not have any feedback, but, on the other hand, sometimes too much info is a bad thing! Hang in there, girl. This is your time!

J&C: Glad to hear that everything's all set for Thursday! Very exciting! Have fun with your family and keep us posted on Thursday!

jaydentd: Waiting, waiting, and more waiting. You have such a good attitude about it all! Me....I'm already anxious to start another cycle!!

lou71: It's so good to hear from you! Have fun on your ski trip--I'm soooo jealous!! Do you ski or snowboard? Glad you're staying with us for your next cycle!

rayofsunshine: I know, it's so weird to either desperately hope for AF or desperately hope to not see it for 9 months! Keep us posted!

AFM.....did another HPT this morning. Not looking good. I'm 9dp6dt and it was a BFP. Let's face it, ladies. If I were preggo it would have showed up by now. I took it pretty hard. I had all these feelings rush through me that only you guys could understand. Seeing that negative was just another reminder that I'm infertile and that I can't get pregnant when I want to. Sorry to be so down. I just had to be sad with the only girls who absolutely know how I'm feeling.

I'll let you know what the official word is on Friday. Until then, good luck to all the other PUPO girls! Since Darth didn't want to cooperate, I'm rooting for you all instead.

Oops. Meant to say that I'm 9dp6dt and it was a BFN (not BFP). Weird that I made that mistake...

msmac: we must have been posting at the same time! So glad that your transfer went well. YAY!!

sdc: Take a lesson from me....HPTs are evil! If you can wait until Wednesday it's probably better!

In the meantime all 5 of my other embies made it to today AND we had one late fertilized egg!! Woohoo! So they'll probably freeze it tomorrow! I can't believe it. You ladies sure have some powerful dust you throw around here! So now please throw the stick embie stick dust our way!

While trying to continue my ivf education which is thwart with its own lingo, I came across these and thought I would share. Hell, the truth is I am trying to occupy myself with something while waiting for AF. If you know of more...add on sisters :D

Multiple Dwarf Syndrome - a state caused by the ups and downs of fertility treatments, characterized by describing oneself as some combination of grumpy, sleepy, dopey, bashful, etc; especially effective descriptor if you include what we like to call the "alternative dwarves," such as horny, bitchy, barfy, crampy, etc

Reverse Pharmacology - taking Birth Control Pills in the month before "Looteal" phase: The period of time between cycles when all of the insurance statements/doctor's bills come in from the beginning of the cycle. Also a time to save $$ for the upcoming cycle of IVF.

Cruisin' for a bruisin' - driving one hour each way in rush-hour traffic to have blood drawn by a technician who's blind in one eye and has arthritis in both hands. ( or new and just cant find a vein, this was me!!)

Petri dish - a womb with a view (for IVFers)

Multiplous avoidus - the act of reminding the nurses yet again  to avoid the "infertility" diagnosis on insurance forms

Punjab - Cracking jokes to take your wife's mind off the fact that you are about to give her a shot.

Pokejoy - The imagined glee wives think that husbands get from sticking them in the butt with a needle.

Hindsight - looking back to see what is happening as you get your shot.

Happy wishes to all, hey katie maybe your rooster needs a friend, i hear coyotes make nice pets!!!!

Come on AF....

OMG girls! You are chatty! I have such a hard time keeping up and finding the time to respond to everyone. Well things are cooking. I am starting to feel bloated so I am upping the gatorade to avoid OHSS. 32 follies cooking inside me could get uncomfortable. I got back tomorrow for another SNS. I assume we will trigger on Wednesday. We will see.

Beth~WOW, I am so glad ET went well. 3 is a good number and the fact the two are good is great! GL in the 2ww. I really hope this is it!

Cami~ Great news! I hope things continue to go smoothly! GL:)

Moore~ Yay on transfer!!! I am so rooting for you:)

Someone asked about my dosing....I am on 225 iu of Gonal F and 75 repronex and 5 units lupron....and boy the 3 injections are killing my stomach. I am starting bruise. This cycle seems to be going well but I am nervous about my lining. Does anyone know how quickly your lining can beef up ina day? At cd5 my lining was at 2.6. I know we need to get around 7 at least....do you think there is time between now and transfer? the clinic did not seem concerned but of course I am. I have never had lining issues before but where I started stims before AF, I am concerned.

samantha/roshaunda- what a dork i am! i completely forgot to wish you both luck for today's et. i am so glad to hear that everything went great & that your embabies are snuggling & getting comfy in their mamas.

katie- what stims are you on? i could totally see how you feel like you're in the dark. not having any updates would drive me crazy  i'm sure that om tuesday you'll get good news. so the plan is for you to trigger in tuesday? that will be here soon...i promise :-)

latrell- woohoo for af! sorry about the cramps. she is so evil!

kim- your little one may be a late implantation, so don't get so down. everyone is different, so it doesn't mean that you have to see a bfp just yet. you can't give up on darth...you have to keep rooting for him. i am

sdc- there are a LOT of ladies on here scheduled for betas this coming week. if you check out the most recent ivf schedule for all of us that katies posts, you'll see the dates. i believe there are about 9, including you, that are testing up through 2.1. lots of bfp's coming up!!!

sara- sorry to hear that you thought you'd be starting earlier. i love your pma...you just have to roll with the punches & keep moving.

beth- what a sweet hubby you have. how are you feeling?

jaydentd- it stinks that you have to delay the start of your stims, but it's definitley for a good reason. fingers crossed that your insulin levels drops back to normal in the next 2 weeks, so the fun can begin.

meganlynn- most of the time icsi is done due to male infertility issues. i notice in your signature there is nothing about your dh. is male infertiity the case with your dh?

J & C- woohoo for fet being on schedule! wow, all of 4 you'll be transferring? are you ready for multiples?

scruppe- welcome! any questions, please just ask :-)

sonya- how are you doing hun? is er still possibly on thursday?

ashley- how are things with you?

franny- hope you're having a fun-filled, busy weekend!

afm...just got the call to confirm my er for tomorrow. it still hasn't hit me that we are moving on the next loop of this crazy rollercoaster. i think i'm more nervous for dh's tesa tomorrow. he has to be there at 7am, so his brother will be driving him & my mom will be driving me in for my er. then dh & his brother will go to the clinic to drop off dh's goods & wait for me.

lots of sticky baby dust all around ladies!

love ya,
es
