sdc,

GL tomorrow. Keep the faith.

Katie,

New nurse needs to pull her head out of ass and realize she is dealing with people's future's here.

On a totally unrelated note, I am PISSED OFF at my DH. He can be just a jerk sometimes. Ok, I am also pissed off at Directv and Verizon, which is how this whole thing started. I ordered a bundle pkg for Directv, internet and home phone end of December. For some reason, Directv didn't get the order (so of course I have to call them, not Verizon (which I spent well over an hour on the phone trying to get it straightened out with them). So today, Directv send a bills, in my husbands name, where they have re-instated his service (all this was ordered in my name) and its not bundled with phone bill. He blows up at me, I blow up at Directv and Verizon (who are not either taking responsibilty, its the other ones fault, both want to charge me termination fee's (regardless if even I am trying to get my original bundle agreement and not cancel service). So I spend my entire lunch hr plus some, to now have no bundle, no Directv (supposed to wave cancellation fee, so we will see) and phone/internet back to what is was before. So I get lots of aggravation, spend tons of time on phone and my dh says "I told you so, told you should keep printed copies of agreement" (which I did, but didnt' seem to make difference to anyone but me). I will be damned, I don't even watch that much T.V., he was the one pushing for satellite again. Ohh, sorry to vent, but I am fuming and its a good thing he is at work now. So much for not getting upset on 2ww!

Well rested and I have time to do some personals - yay!!

miyaya Ten nice follies!! And your lining is great. I'm happy for you and excited to hear "the rest of the story" as it progresses. I thought for sure we would trigger tonight but we are waiting until tomorrow.. you never know what's going on from day to day.

hms Oh man... the waiting the waiting the waiting! I am happy that I will be swamped with work when I return so something will take my mind off things. What are you doing to pass the time? Are you wonderfully optimistic?

turtle Spotting is so normal... it can even be a good sign that implantation is happening. Make sure you tell us what the hpt says... I'd be peeing on anything that resembled a pee stick if it were me. hehe

to-have-fun Well congrats on the two follies and a successful IUI. At least you have a chance and we'll be waiting anxiously for your results. You never, ever know, right? I love the idea about using double eggs... the meds would be super expensive, but if it works... you'd never regret the money. Please let us know.. perhaps the new RE will just change your meds and things will turn around. Praying for you and love your PMA... :)

cami I had the same thing happen to me with a page of personals... I was pretty ticked off!

beth I am so looking forward to your beta... will you poas before the big day? LOL I always have super symptoms from the hcg shot... with my IUI's and then they would fade so I knew it wasn't a go by about 10 dpo.

moorebaby Did you get your ER already? Did I miss it? How did things go? Can I get a play by play? LOL Hoping for the best for you!

Roshaunda Aw... your DH is away too... I know how you feel. My DH will be here for ER but gone for ET. Wishing you all the most wonderful news in the world for your anniversary. How many years married?

katie I'm really hoping your PMA is a sign of things to come. Good luck with your U/S tomorrow.. I'll be looking for your update.

claudia It's so hard to believe we are here, in infertilityland, much less when we are reminded by anniversaries that mark the months (and years) we've been going through it. I am hoping that the ET goes great and you will be joining your SIL's soon. I have FIVE nieces who are pregnant... so yay for getting to watch five pregnancies all in the family .. I can only hope I'm number 6... ;)

Samantha Sorry about the little follie that 'almost' made it, and yay for the five frosties in storage. It's a good thing you are busy - I know I'll be swamped at work when I return and it will be a blessing. I keep skipping ahead in time wondering what I'll think when I finally get the yes or no on this cycle. I know it will be an extreme emotion either way.

nej awww I know it's hard.. the emotions are all over for all of us. We never thought we'd go as far as IVF and look at where we are now. We've already decided to use up any frosties (if any) and then go to Europe or (?) for our next IVF. Much cheaper and a holiday to boot. Makes things a little more enjoyable. Just keep yourself busy and you'll have your answer soon. I will send you extra babydust!

rlk :P Hi Back to you! :P

Ashley Not gonna kid you - nausea might be a great sign. I'd poas. But then I would poas before we even had the transfer if I got the chance. Just give it a couple more days and yes, the hormones really can cause headaches! So can pregnancy. Especially after the birth thing.

lou What the heck... I missed something. What's baby in a box? Have fun on your ski trip - I LOVE to ski. Boo for heavy long AF. Thank you for checking in... will be anxiously awaiting the next step in your story.

katie 2nd post... hehe.... I can feel your distrust and caution through your words. I'd be freaked out as well. Won't they EXPLAIN to you what they expect to happen? I can't believe they are happy there are none over 10.... but you do have a nice number of follies to deal with. I cringed at the term 'scraped out' regarding your er... do they just take immature eggs and fertilize them and hope they grow? What's the harm with waiting until they are more mature? Gosh.. It's not even my cycle and i have so many questions! I'll just say I am sending you tons of good luck.

Ronda When I read you were pissed at DH I got worried.. when you mentioned satelite TV I had to have a chuckle. Men and TV seem to always be a throrn in the side for women. I hope you get it all sorted out soon!

Wow!! there were more and more posts to respond to even as I was typing out this one. Freaked out that I might 'lose' it like I did before, but so far so good.

soooo

AFM We have a total of 16 follies from 11.5 to 21. I know we might lose the largest one... the majority are from 14 to 17.5. The doctors were extremely happy with everything. Lining is good at 8.7 and E2 level was 8544. We are not triggering tonight but doing one more night of meds (so far) and then triggering tomorrow night. One more ultrasound and poke in the morning.

David is flying into town tonight and I am so excited. After all the emotional stuff, drugs, driving and being alone, I am just beside myself that he'll be joining me. We are kind of happy that we have a few days together before ER, so he can kind of share in the adventure, ultrasound, etc... He'll be gone before ET so that kind of sucks.. but that's what is, so we deal with it.

I am pretty bloated and feeling the twinges from the ovaries.. no real emotional stuff (had a few moments with my sis but that's pretty normal!)... I'm really relaxed and just letting things 'be'. I'm still terrified to have any hope. I read the stories of the girls who get BFN's and I can feel thier disbelief and emptiness. I shudder to think about going through that... it's close to a miscarriage and I've had my fill of those. Okay.. enough bad talk!! We're going to see some BFP's roll in soon and I really hope to be one of them - everything is pointing in the right direction, and hte list of things that can go wrong is shrinking every day!

Much love to all
Sonya

OK ladies - need your advice. As some of you probably saw from earlier today I have been very nauseous and had a pretty bad headache all day. I came home early from work because I just couldn't sit at my desk and feel terrible. Luckily I can work remotely from home.

So since I am a rookie to all of this I decided to go ahead and do an HPT knowing that the results may not be 100% accurate. A friend had given me a couple of the digital ones.

So I get home and POAS and sure enough it said "pregnant". I took an Ovidrel trigger 11 days ago so I am concerned that maybe I could be getting a false positive since I am 6dpt6dt. My mom is addicted to the internet and is retired so I put her on the case. She said that she read that 12 days after the trigger is the earliest it is probably best to do an HPT.

What do you guys think? Could this be a false positive? I'm not getting my hopes up and plan to POAS maybe Friday or Saturday. My beta is Monday 2/1.

Thanks in advance for the advice I know I will get.

Ashley; The digital tests are some of the least sensitive. If it were me, I'd be thinking I was pregnant. Now you've tested early, and it's positive. You need to be aware that chemical pregnancies are very common and be cautious over the next few days. I'm not trying to bring you down, but I've had three of these and they SUCK.

So yes, it looks like your baby implanted and is sending out HCG, and I doubt the trigger would be around this long... so to play it safe.. get a FRER - First Response Early Response and take a test. Then take another one tomorrow. If the line is DARKER, the hcg is increasing. If it's lighter, it may be the trigger.

But for now, I vote you are pregnant!!!! Be cautiously optimistic - I can't wait to see what your beta is!

Ashley - I think that congratulations are in order! :D Any post I've read of Ghost's says that the trigger should be gone by 10 days after trigger! OMG!! So excited for you!!!! :D Will your clinic do an earlier beta after hearing of a pos HPT? its worth trying to see if they will!

Jacqueline -Where are you? We're all dying to make it official :D

Samantha -Rip & Cord? hee hee - your DH really is a comedian

Chris -My RE said that he's doing mostly 3dt - he said that he is barely still doing a 5dt unless theres a boatload of embies to choose from, I know that he believes they are better off inside you. Of course I'm always pulling for you, when I had my first cancelled cycle, I was crushed and you and michele got me squared away. I cant remember what either of you said, but I've never forgotten your how much your kindness and words of wisdom helped me through that. Now, I can take a cancellation standing on my head, but I'm with you - it HAS to work one of these tries, right? We WILL get there! much love & respect to you

Sonya -Prayers for you sister, I can only imagine how hard it must be. Crossed for trigger tomorrow. Not that you'll have time to read this with your David coming! Yiipppeee for that! No they're not trying to fertilize them immature just retreive them immature and finish maturation in the dish - yes, this whole thing seems odd, but ivm has been around for a while, but its success rates are lower than than reg ivf. My RE decided on this with me because each cycle I end up with such uneven growth that we lose most of them for them being too small to catch up
yep, I'm being the ivm guinea pig - ugh

Kim -Of course I'd miss you! Your sense of humor is similar to mine
And we seem to feel the need to always have the next back up plan ready
But I truly hope that we dont need to this time!

Marci -yes, its totally normal to have your AF altered by ivf meds
Isnt this too much fun? also dont be freaked out if its heavier than usual.

Lou -Yay more meds! Just what you dont get to see enough of! You poor thing! 9 days of AF? Eeekk! bet thats too much fun- Have a wonderful ski trip! ooh, I'm so jealous of a vacation!

Franny -Sorry that you're going mad - theres not really too much choice during the dreaded 2ww. Ghost says that 10 days past trigger it should be gone, but I still think you should wait it out a bit more
Yes, i know - "shut up katie"

Bei -Where is your AF already? have you asked your RE whats the delay? Big AF dance for you! :D

Miyaya -thanks! When is your ER?

SDC -Good luck tomorrow!

Ronda -GRRR! theres nothing quite as much fun as dealing with 2 companys that meesed up and are trying to blame each other! I went through something like that the other day between paypal and the cc company - ugh! Hope they got it together finally.

Whew! That was like writing a book! -xoxo

Ashley-CONGRATS ON THE PREGNANT!! HCG shot is out of our system 10 days post shot so you are definitely out of that time frame!! But just to reiterate what Sonya said...I also had a chemical so please enjoy the moment but cautiously!! I would also POAS tomorrow and until your Beta test!!

Sonya-so glad David is joining you tonight and he will be able to see all of your follies tomorrow!! Good luck with the trigger and hoping things progress smoothly. I am also sorry to hear your sister is having such a difficult time and my thoughts/prayers are with her.

Franny-any spotting today? I hear ya about constantly going to check on it!!! I'm obsessed as well but try not to let it consume you!

Katie-sorry this whole process is confusing but it seems as though you have a bunch they will get from retrieval and they will develop them beautiful in petri dishes!! Can't wait to hear the update from tomorrow's SnS

SDC-Can't wait to hear your results tomorrow! Good luck

To all my ladies in the 2ww....hang in there and I can't wait till the list starts posting some BFP's!!!!

Hey Gals,
Just wanted to update you on the ET I had this weekend. My total retrival from last Thursday was 17 eggs, 10 were mature, of those 10 5 fertilized, of those five 3 of them didnt make it. They transferred 2 embryos on day 3. One was a healthy 7 cell and the other was a robust 8 cell. I have my blood preg. test on Feb. 5th. Cant' wait!!!!!

I really hope this works out this time. The Attain IVF program was not clear on the fact that if you dont have any emby's to freeze, you loose that cycle completely. So, we expected to get 6 trys out of this, and since this is our second try and we have none frozen, we only get one more try if this doesnt work out. But hopefully it will. Wish me luck and baby dust to you all!!!!

ok, i know there are many posts, but i haven't read them yet. i will as soon as i finish this post & will do personals in abit.

so here's the fert report:
out of the 21 eggs, 14 were mature, 2 fertilized. they couldn't get ANY sperm from the tesa, but were able to find 14 "good" sperm from the fresh ejaculate. they are not sure why the fertilization was low, but suspect it's a sperm issue.

i know i can be completely upset, but 2 is better than none. i have to be happy for that & be positive that they will continue growing & dividing. don't get me wrong...i'm sad & disappointed, but i have to look past that. i did cry, but i'm good now....just hoping & praying. the only thing i don't understand is how the sperm in the testicles had no motility, which the testicle is the source, so how could the sperm be no good there but good in the ejaculate? whatever...all i know is we have 2 strong ones that are going to make it!

they will be calling tomorrow to let us know how the 2 are doing...please pray for them.

so transfer is set for thursday. i will be taking that day & friday off from work, or school...whatever you want to call it. dh thinks i should take monday off.

lots of sticky baby dust all around ladies!

love ya,
es

es- prayers those embabies grow and hang in there. Like everyone says all you need is one. I understand how you may feel disappointment but please stay positive.

Ashley- congratulations!! keep the PMA throughout!

Mandy- yeah for your two embabies. They transferred my two back on sunday. We do our betas the same day!

Sonya- Im so glad your DH will be with you at least for ER. I won't see my DH until June. i'm glad your sister is doing better. I'm sending healing prayers to her as we speak!
Sam-yeah to having 5 snow babies!

Katie- your not a guinea pig, I know this is just not what you have been used to and it doesn't help when the nurse doesnt give you any information. That is so cool that our betas are both right before our anniversaries! This will be my 6th anniversary, and actually this will be the first one apart. Even when he was deployed before he either came home during our anniversary or like last year I went to him in Honduras. I think that is a good sign, it will be the most memorable anniversary ever!

AFM- my RE called and my other two embabies made it to freeze! :D It is all a true blessing just to even have the experience. I know I didn't get to everyone, but of course all you ladies are always in my thoughts and prayers.

XOXO

Es- I will be praying hard for your two embies. It must be so disappointing after having such a good response on your end, but it does only take one!

Mandy14 - it sounds like the best case for transfer to have those two good ones! Take it easy and let your embabies settle in!

katie - you may be the IVM guinea pig right now, but when you get your BFP, you're going to be the IVM poster girl. I'm glad you're getting another day of stims! But do you have to do another 4 hr RT drive for another US tomorrow? But 7 follies - that's spectacular!

Ashley - I'm with everyone else - you're definitely pregnant! But yes, be cautious because chemicals do sneak up on us, and it's heartbreaking once your hopes are up. But i look forward to seeing a great big beta number from you soon!

Sonya - I can't imagine what you're going through up there with your sick sister, alone in another city, and finally getting to have your DH by your side. What strength! You are definitely superwoman. Not sure if I will POAS or not - if I feel any symptoms, I'll probably do it this weekend, just to keep my expectations realistic.

Ronda - sorry about the spat with the TV company and your hubby. I know what that's like I have to remind myself that my DH is not really a jack*ss, he just likes to act like one sometimes.

sdc - all my finger crossed - good luck on the beta!

Franny - you're ALMOST there! My money is on you being preggers. I do understand the desire to stay PUPO - I think that's why don't usually POAS!

bei - more hurry up AF dust your way! You have the patience of a saint!

Lou - I hear you about the AF - the one I had after my BFN was the WORST I ever had. Even after my chemicals, it wasn't as bad. At least it will be well over by your ski trip. You must be so excited!

Marci - my cycle definitely got more crazy after all the IVF fun. But, calling your clinic and asking the nurses is never out of line!

Kim - not too much fun this weekend - aren't we expecting a snow storm? I'll believe it when I see it! You know how this whole state shuts down at the sight of a flurrie! I'm heading up your way tomorrow to visit a friend in NoVA who just had a baby. Like Claudia, I am surrounded by pregnant women, and new babies (including one from my sister). I even got to go shopping for a baby gift today - wasn't that fun.

Niki - I hope you stay sane until Friday. It'd be a shame to lose it before you get your positive beta!
Sam- Only 7 days! (6 for me!) What's your POAS plan? I might do it this weekend. Haven't decided yet. As for meds, at this point, I do 3 prometrium inserts a day, baby aspirin, a multivitamin and a folic acid supplement.

Roshaunda- How great that you have two snowbabies!

For all the ladies who keep losing your posts - I always type in Notepad first, and then copy and paste it on the site. This way, I can also scroll back through the site while I'm writing.
