Katie--OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am SOOOO excited about this!!!!! I didn't get to check the board at all yesterday so I was SO out of the loop---but I definitely think you guys are doing the right thing!!!! Everything happens for a reason, right?!!! So excited. Just so excited. Ok--I only had about ten seconds to post, but I just wanted to put my two cents in!!! I am still wading through the four pages I missed and will get to everyone later--but Katie, I'm just so happy for you......XOXO Cami

Well its official! I just called my RE and accepted!! I'm so excited! I told my DH last night lets see how we feel in the morning, and I woke up relieved, calm and happy (he did too) for a change. I tried to get more info from my RE - but no way. He did say that I'm to start crinone, PIO and estrace today. He said that my lining is optimal and that he wants to do FET on Thursday! Lord knows, I've never had anything to freeze before, so I'm lost on the FET protocol, but it seems simple enough. So I did clarify that all 4 are now ours (YAY) but he said that he will thaw all of them for Thursday and then they'll be regraded after thawing. Is that the standard? or should I be concerned that maybe they're not super embies?
For blasts 4 seems like a lot to thaw, oh and he said that he wants to transfer 3 if they make it. Ummm, dont get me wrong, I'm eternally grateful for this chance, but 3? isnt that too many? I mean twins would be fantastic - but triplets scare me! alot! hee hee We'd be outnumbered!
I still cant get over how yesterday started off with the worst news and was turned around with a gift from God, an hour later. Please let this work!

I wanted to thank all of you for being here for me yesterday and always
I think of you all throughout my day and know that I never could have gotten through all these ups and downs without you all. We're all together in this infertility whirlpool - and I'm so grateful to call you all friends :D

Franny -You've been on my mind all morning. How are you feeling? I hope that you were able to enjoy your visit, even though I bet it was rough on friday. I hope that your DH is showering you with hugs & kisses

Claudia -We'll be 2ww FET buddies! You're on Wed & I'll follow you on Thur! So exciting! I know you want that Valentine's day BFP! I think you're gonna get it too! Our 2nd wedding anniversary is on the 16th - do I dare hope?...

Positive Thinking -thanks! yes, my RE is the most wonderful man - he didnt give up on me (he actually promised he wouldnt!) I know other Re's would have given up on me a few tries ago! I feel very lucky. Yay for starting your lupron on Tuesday! Are you ready to go?

Heather -I've got everything crossed for you! fingers & toes! thank you for your words of encouragement yesterday - it helped alot. I cant believe you're off to India! what an adventure! how long will you stay for?

Sonya -Wow 15 fert! Whhoo Hooo! :D How are you feeling? Will you do a 5dt? I hope that you enjoy your time with your DH - it must be so hard to be apart through this process. Make the most of your visit

Samantha -thanks for your kind words yesterday, they meant alot to me. We are totally seeing this for the once in a lifetime opportunity that it is! Now Miss Samantha - are you just 7dp5dt? You are so too early and you know it! But of course I'll be buying those darn sticks too
I'll repost that embie chart before you drive your self mad. What brand are you using? peeonastick.com will tell you the sesitivity levels of all different brands - plus tell you which ones have been giving women false results - click home preg tests on the left side of the homepage

Gi -Awww thanks, honey. This has been too long for us both! It has to work this time, doesnt it? I have the highest hopes for you now that you got away from that old clinic of yours. Now that they've addressed your NK cells - I think you're go to go! I really hope that the thing to upset you will be morning sickness - xoxo

Beth -I SOOOOO want this to be your time, Its been a long year for you also. Thank you Beth for telling me how your Mom feels about adoption - you dont know how much that helped me gets my thoughts together. I know that you enjoy your 10k run - but I've got everything crossed for you to have to miss it!

Ronda -I was kinda surprised at how quick my DH was on board, even ahead of me. I always think of how hard this past 6 cycles was on me, i guess since he's been my rock, its was so easy to forget how hard its been on him too. But, boy is he a happy guy today!

Cami-thanks, honey. How are you enjoying the beach? that was a silly question, huh? well you could be here in NY here its a whopping 12 degrees  Have some fun in the sun! Do I sound as jealous as I am?

Forgive if I've left anyone out - today my head is definitely somewhere else! hugs and prayers! - xoxo

DandMe: 22 is great! Congrats, I will keep everything crossed for you. Have you decided how many eggs you will transfer once fertilized?

Beth: I’m in Germany and lately all I’ve been seeing is snow! I’m not snowed in yet but it is getting deep. Hopefully, you won’t be snowed in long. How are you feeling today?

Ronda: Stay away from the HPT!!! I haven’t made it to that stage yet but I’m willing to bet that I will become a member of the club too!  But, it’s a long wait I know, try to keep yourself busy and throw all of those tests out and try not to go buy anymore, they are evil!

Gi: I’m glad that your surgery went well. Now you can move ahead and get closer to your goal! Yaayyyy!

Miyaya: 21!!! AWESOME! Congrats, can’t wait to hear the news about your fert. report. I’m sorry that you’re in pain. Try to get some rest.

Katie: Good for you! I think you are making a good decision. If it were me, I would say yes too! Like I said before, this is your blessing!! I’m so excited for you!

And a big welcome to Tiger and Lauren!!!! You will find that this is a very informative site and everyone is here for you.

AFM, had my last injection of Menogon this morning…hooorrraayyy for the last day of stims. I go in for an ultrasound tomorrow. I’m keeping everything crossed. I didn’t have any side effects from the injections…sometimes I feel a little pressure here and there but that’s really it. No tummy swelling that I can tell either. I’m hoping the meds worked! Katie, you were right! I’m a pro now, I’ve been doing everything on my own, told DH I got this, all week! I’m ready for my next step.

Lots of baby dust!

OMG Katie - I have been busy all weekend and haven't been on the board. I just jumped in to see how everything went for you. I can't believe the change your life has just made. I know it is hard to give up on your genetics but if in the end having a baby is all that counts. i am so happy that things have turned from not having anything to having 4 blasts. YEY!!! i can't wait for your BFp. This is so exciting.

I will try and catch up on the rest of the post later. I have lots of homework to do and it is due today.

Good Luck to all!!!

Hi ladies,

Still upset but looking forward. Does anyone know when AF knocks on the door after prednisone and estrogen are stopped?

I got AF 3 days before my blood test was scheduled. I called the nurse because I refused to use the progesterone since it was so heavy! She told me to skip the progesterone and come in the next day for blood, which was negative.

T3 - I'm glad you're looking forward! I usually get AF 2-3 days after stopping the meds. Just to warn you, it' might be a very heavy one, after all the lining that you've been building up.

Samantha - All sorts of things will affect your HPT results - so don't worry too much. I'm looking forward to hearing a great beta number for you soon!

Katie - I'm glad that hearing about my mom helped, and I'm so glad that you and DH are both so excited about this amazing opportunity. Is your Dr. sure about transferring three? If they are really of good quality, and if your only problem was DOR, it seems really possible that they could all implant. I know someone did a DE cycle recently (because of egg quality issues), in her mid-40s, transferred two and both took. I don't think I'd want to risk the chance (and danger) of triplets.

Latrell - Even though we got lots of snow, it's beautiful outside today, warm and sunny, so I don't mind so much. I even sat out on the porch for a while.

Jeez - it seems like I'm destined to spend the day in tears (tears of grattiude) every time I think about my RE I end up crying again :D
And I'm so not a cryer either! You all have given me so much love, advice and support that I'm ready to be bawling again! I cant thank you guys enough. I'm truly blessed to have you all to go through this with. :D

Chris -thanks! I'm still in shock myself. I dont care about the genetics anymore - I'm thinking its just a part of the recipe. And the timing couldnt have been better because I've been so drained emotionally from all these cycles - I know you know what I mean. If my damned useless ovaries wont play ball, then lets just go around them, right? Know that I hope tomorrow is the right answer, I'm cramping up from being crossed for you! :D Now go do your homework! - See? I'm practicing

Beth -You know I'm cramping up for you too! I feel the same way
trips would send me into a panic - now twins, I'm all over that! I'll ask him why he wants to transfer 3 - I was so nervous this morning, now I'm wondering if he said he'll transfer up to 3? - xoxo

Heather - I'll be checking all day for your news tomorrow. I want this so bad for you!

Lauren - Welcome! I'm sorry, I meant to welcome you yesterday, but it was drama central. yes, a fridge like a pharmacy - thats about right. Dont stress being on a 600iu dose, its not the max. Think of Gonal-f as responsible for the numbers and menopur as to mature the follies. Good luck with your cycle. When did you start your stims?

Tiger -How are your stims going? Grow those follies!

Karen -Good luck at your ER tomorrow! hope you get lots!

T3 -It does get easier, give it time. Both of my bfn's I got AF about a week after stopping meds - hugs

Miyaya -Are you feeling any better today? I hope so, it sounds like you had a rough ER. I cant wait to hear your fert report!

Claudia -Thank you again for your concern yesterday - it meant alot to me.

Sam - I forgot to repost the embie chart - I'm sorry, I'll do it next
Did you buy up all the sticks in AZ?

3 Day Transfer:

1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
2dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
3dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
4dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
5dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
6dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
7dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
8dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
9dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
10dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
11dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on HPT

5 Day Transfer (if your transfer is done on the 6th day please adjust according to the timeline based upon how the embryo was doing by 1-2 days {e.g. blastocyst was hatching from the shell}):

-1dpt... Embryo is growing and developing
0dpt... Embryo is now a blastocyst
1dpt... Blastocyst hatches out of shell on this day
2dpt... Blastocyst attaches to a site on the uterine lining
3dpt... Implantation begins,as the blastocyst begins to bury in the lining
4dpt... Implantation process continues and morula buries deeper in the lining
5dpt... Morula is completely inmplanted in the lining and has placenta cells &
fetal cells
6dpt... Placenta cells begin to secret HCG in the blood
7dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
8dpt... More HCG is produced as fetus develops
9dpt... HCG levels are now high enough to be immediately detected on

hi ladies. Sorry it took so long to post. I have been in some pain.

Katie~ WOW, what an amazing gift! This is so exciting. Your RE sounds like an amazing man! Good luck.

AFM, Well I am still in some pain. Have to use percocet to keep it in check. Well fert report was as expected...out of teh 21, only 9 fertilized and made it to this morning. It was about what I expected. my e2 was too low to have 21 good ones.

the strange thing is they have me scheduled for ET tomorrow on day 2. I have no idea why. They said there is a chance they will culture it til day 3 and cancel me tomorrow. I am so confused. With 9, you would think they would wait at least til day 3. Wouldn't they want to see how they do before they decide which ones to put in? I keep pushing for answers and getting nothing. They say they will know more tomorrow AM after they are looked at again. This whole process stinks b/c I just deal with nurses and never the doc....I just had a conversation with DH....with 9, under what circumstance would we really want to ET on day 2? I can only think of one....if by tomorrow AM we only have 2 left...and even then I question the quality and wonder what we are missing during these cycles....they said they will call between 8-9:30....which does not help us much b/c we are 3.5 hours away from the clinic and need to get our son to my mom's (40) minutes away....so we will already be on the road. ugh!!!!!!!!!

Hey Girlies!

My family is gone, and I'm finally off of my bedrest but am still taking it easy. Our ET was on Thursday. All 4 of our frosties made it, and we transferred all 4. My blood work is this Saturday, Feb. 6. DH had a huge breakdown this morning about whether this is going to work or not. He wants to be done if it's negative and doesn't want to adopt. We don't have any frosties left. I am totally open to adoption, but since DH isn't, I would want to do IVF again. I'm going to try to relax this week and am going to continue praying for mercy that we're pregnant.

katie - I am just so, so sorry about the IVM, but I'm excited for your donor embies! WOW - what a wonderful change of events! Since I just finished my first FET...it is standard that they "regrade" the embies after thawing. For a FET, my RE always suggests transferring 1 more embie than you would on a fresh cycle. That's why he was comfortable transferring 4 for us. (We had our DD with transfering 3 fresh embies/day 3).

Hello moorebaby!!! I'm still here!!! Mercy - I'm hoping to catch up on personals this week.

Sticky baby dust and snuggle dust!!!!! :D
Me and DH - 37
TTC - 7 years, PCOS and 1 blocked tube
IVF #1 w/ICSI...DD born Oct. '08
IVF #2 w/ICSI...BFN
IVF #3 - FET....ectopic pregnancy
HE already knows the outcome.
