Just wanted to send a quick note ...

Beth & Chris - I'm so sorry that it's now official bfn for the two of you. :( Hoping April will be your time, Beth, and soon too, for you, Chris.

Katie - wishing you all the sticky dust one can muster for tomorrow's big day! I am so excited for you. 4 beautiful embies just waiting for you!!Image

Jacqueline - great beta increase! so happy for you. You'll be going in for the heartbeat on the U/S before long!! YAY!! Image

DandMe - congratulations on the ET!! 4AB embies sounds delightful. I know you are ready to be home... thinking of you.... Image

Lauren - looks like we'll be stimming buddies! I have SnS on Friday am and should start stims that afternoon. Congrats!! This is your first IVF, right?

AF started this morning, right on schedule. I will actually be starting stims on Friday. Hoping I can make it to the RE before the snow starts. We're supposed to get 12" - possibly more than 20" - on top of the 6" we got last weekend and 4" from last night - tho most of that has melted today. I don't mind the snow so much, but I get anxious about haivng an accident. The last thing I need right now!

My other big concern these days is planning for appropriate childcare and transportation for my ER. DH is having TESA/PESA that morning as well and neither of us can drive. Fortunately, we're in the same building (and actually get to share the recovery room :) ) but we have to have someone watch DS while we're gone too... and we're pretty much guaranteed a 6am slot due to his surgery, which means leaving the house at 4:30 in DC traffic. All of our family lives out of state except my MIL, who can't do either due to health. SO, we're trying to arrange family to visit and help out. but... "oh, sure, when do you need me?" - "uh, well, either the 16th, 17th, or the 18th, most likely, but I won't know until about 36-40 hrs before".... makes travel planning somewhat difficult. I cannot wait to move. I want my family CLOSER!

Sorry about everyone I've missed... thinking of all of you and sending you tons of hugs and baby dust!

katie- wishing you so much luck tomorrow! egh...you don't need luck. this is meant to be & it will have a positive outcome...i can just feel it in my bones. hope the et goes smoothly & guess what??? you'll be pupo!!! my students were wondering if i was ok. i had to tell them that i hurt my back....this way they can pick up things for me, like my overhead projector. hehe...i don't like lying to them, but it's for the best. hope your water heater gets fixed/replaced quickly, so dh can focus on taking care of you.

hope- dh & i had to arrange transportation since he had a tesa scheduled on the morning of my er. it was difficult since we really didn't know when it would take place until i triggered 2 nights before. it'll all work out! has your dh ever had one of these? are they putting him out for it? for my dh, they just gave him local anesthesia. he's such a trooper!

sonya- woohoo...you're pupo! congrats! those are some great sounding embabies! 3 weeks, hug? doesn't it seem like it's been forever? have a safe trip tomorrow & do not lift anything too heavy!

chris- i'm so sorry hun! you are very lucky to have a sister who is willing to give you her eggs. march/april will be your months & you will have a christmas baby!

samantha- good luck on your 2nd beta tomorrow! can't wait to hear the doubling results.

roshaunda/mandy- your beta is almost here! how are you feeling?

franny- it sound like your re is being really proactive about your upcoming cycle & is being more aggressive this time. unfortunately, i don't know anything about a hysterscopy. i love your dumb tales of your days...they make me laugh! keep them coming

beth- i'm really sorry sweetie! it's very understandable about your sad feelings. take all the time you need, so you can figure out what's next for you. just know that we are always here for you...antime you want to pop in. love you!

jacqueline- that # sure sounds like twins!!! can't wait to hear how your u/s goes.

cami- i'm so sorry about your result today. (((BIG HUGS)))

ronda- i'm sending you a huge hug...so sorry hun! please let us know how your phone f/u goes. i'll be thinking of you.

dodo- yay for af getting here!

tiger- 18 follies! that is great! you're moving right along. grow follies grow!

gi- yay for no headaches! i hear ya about not being the most religious person. that's me, but i've been praying to st.anne, the saint of fertility. anything helps, right?

miyaya- very happy to see your pma going up...that's what i'm talking about girl!!! it's great news that insurance will cover another cycle, but hopefully you will not be needing it. wow, your friends has been through so much. i could see how she is an inspiration to you. tell her i said congratulations...really!

merri- i've missed you! 10 eggs, 9 mature, & 8 fertilized???? you go girl! can't wait to find out when your et will be. how many will you be transferring?

karen- 24 eggs??? you're a machine! that is wonderful! can't wait to hear the fert report tomorrow! i hope you feel better tomorrow & the soreness goes away.

to all of you ladies who i missed, i'm thinking of all of you!

lots of sticky baby dust all around ladies!

love ya,
es

Hi ladies - I had an insane day at work today and then had to work a couple of hours after I got home. But I did want to check in a do a few personals. These are all from memory afer scrolling through the last few pages so for those of you I missed, my thoughts are with everyone!

Katie - GOOD LUCK tomorrow!!!! I just know that this gift is going to be your BFP!!! Can't wait to hear how it all goes.

Sam - Like you, I have also given more thought to donating our embryos if things work out. Being on this board and hearing all the storied definitely gives me a new perspective.

Cami, Beth, Ronda, and Chris - I am soooo sorry for all the BFNs - I honestly don't know what the heck is going on with the odds of this group. My heart breaks for all of you. I just hope that you all find peace with whatever decisions you make to move forward.

Sonya - sounds like you had a successful ET! So happy for you - now you are in the 2WW - hopefully you can find some things to distract you

Jacqueline - your numbers are great! I can only hope mine keep going up the same way!

Franny - as usual you are a great motivator of this board - keep up all the PMA because I truly think you keep everyone going :D March won't will be here before you know it and I hope like crazy that your RE finds a protocol that works for you.

AFM - I go in first thing tomorrow (Thursday) morning for my second beta. I don't think the wait for results will be as excrutiating as Monday but it's almost as bad since I have no idea if my number has gone up enough. My nausea and headache symptoms from last week are now gone - hoping that isn't a bad sign. I'll let you all know as soon as I hear from the RE nurse.

Franny: Sorry for the BFN but I'm happy to see you on BCP. I think I had hysteroscopy last year if I remember correctly. It's not as bad as laparascopy at all and just remember to focus on breathing and it'll be over in 10 min. GL XOXO

to_have_fun08 : Sorry for the beta! Good to hear that you are moving to the next step! It's always great if you've a sister that can help you than having donor egg. In my case, I have 3 sisters but they're too old to donate. The youngest one is 36 and she and I both have genetic disease and RE told me to move forward with donor eggs.

Lauren1171: GL to your b/w!

DandMe: how wonderful you have two 4AB grade embies transferred! crossing fingers for your BFP! CONGRATS for your PUPO! Sending lots of sticky vibes to you!

Hope644: Sorry for all the concerns! You're in my prayer!

Katie: my friend, don't know if you will check back the thread tomorrow. Congrats to your PUPO in advance and sending you tons of sticky vibes! I am crossing my fingers and feet for you!

Hope; all this talk of snow storms... makes me super glad to be a canadian! LOL

Flowers are blooming here, north of the border....

That's quite an issue you have with babysitting... isn't there anyone you know who has kids who can do a sleepover? Or a friend who has a mature teenager willing to spend the night? I hope you figure it out and can be at ease with it. Sorry to say but I like the thought of a guy having to have some pokes! Ok.. nothing against your DH but c'mon.. all they have to do is have a decent orgasm and we get dozens of needles, endless invasions of our netherworlds, hormones up the yenyang (literally)....

Flying visit i am supposed to be working

Franny thats what i had a hysterscopy last friday to remove the polyp and fibroid - its the exact same as a d&c (well here it is anyway) you go under full general aneasthetic, i was only bit crampy and bleeding but it was grand... better than working. I am also on the bcps a long time since 26th November and took my last one today!!! I am glad you get to go again, its gotta work!!

Ronda, Beth, Cami i am so sorry for your bfns its never easy is it?

Katie cant wait to log in and here your good news!!!!

AFM so AF should be here by wkend and back up for scan and bloods on tuesday, think j has to go on his antibiotics then, then will know when to stim!! Cant wait, getting nervous though there was a programme on last night of a ivf couple and the doctor was talking about when to give up trying she said around 6 or7 failed attempts.... i am on my 7th!! i was upset but j keeps saying this is technically our 1st Real attempt as nobody knew of my killer cells before so therefore the cycles were bust before they even begun.... i hope he is right, though i am not giving up, i am only 30 and will exlore every option.

Hi all! Still having a pity party as I didn't get my wine last night. My DH works 2nd shift, so with my DD's home, I didn't think a glass would be a good idea (I am really a lite weight and one glass makes me tipsy)......so not sure when my pity party will be over. Just waiting for AF and hoping she comes quick now. I am trying to look forward to the next FET, which as long as f/u (which I have decided should not be follow-up appt, it should be F*CK YOU appointment, whadda think girls???? Sorry still feeling sorry for myself), so as long as my phone consult goes ok I will be cycling again this month. RE nurse told me to go ahead and start estrace as soon as AF comes full force. Ok, I'm off to do some work and eat some chocolate......wish I had some mozzerella sticks, and maybe some ice cream.

Franny - Look like you and me in March/April. If all goes well I should be doing ER the first week in April. Glad to see that your RE has given you a plan and you can try again with your eggs.

Dodo- I might be pressing my luck with my sister. She is 39, older then me. This new RE thinks I have PCOS and if the PCOS diagnosis is correct then she thinks we would have better cycle with my eggs then my sisters since my sister is older. This is part of the reason why I am thinking about doing a double cycle. I would love to have a good cycle with my eggs but mentally just can't do it. I have had too much heartaches already and each cycle just makes me more bitter. I am hoping by doing a double cycle I can have something more to hope for and have something to help me find my PMA.

Hey everyone. wooo whoo. I had a great fertilization report. Of the 24 eggs, we had 19 that were mature and fertilized with ICSI. There are 15 growing normally as of yesterday. Will get an update tomorrow regarding if my transfer is tomorrow or Sunday. I'm declaring my transfer will be Sunday and that I'll have 10 beautiful embies! If you claim what you want...it could happen!

Hugs and babydust to everyone! Karen

Well the results are in and......

My second beta almost tripled from 1580 to 4339!!!

The nurse said that because my number was high to begin with and they know it's going up I don't have to come in for a third beta. So now we wait another couple of weeks for an u/s on 2/22. I was really hoping for w/o 2/15 but I guess what's another few days when I've been waiting this long?

I'm still proceeding cautiously because I am paranoid that something is going to happen between now and the 22nd. But generally speaking this is a huge relief.

Just wanted to share the news - gotta get back to work.......

miyaya- Hi there. I'm PCO (slight) too. My RE put me on metformin in hopes it would improve egg quality. He said, too, to eat low carb. My first cycle was messed up (the protocol was not the right one for me and I over stimmed and got OHSS). He said the resulting embies looked like they had been chewed on by dogs! Meaning, lost of fragmentation. He wasn't for sure my eggs had anything to do with it b/c the cycle was messed up, but he said it couldn't hurt to try the metformin. He thinks increased insulin levels can affect egg quality...thus embie quality. This isn't a definite finding...just something he thinks is worth considering.

Ok, pity party over for me. I kicked myself in the butt and reminded myself all I have to be thankful for and how lucky I have been to have 2 gorgeous girls.

Ashley,
Holy Cow  !!!! those number are WONDERFUL!! I smell twins in the air. Remind me how many embies you transferred? That is just awesome news.

Chris,
I am sorry for you BFN. I know those words are lame, but there is not much else to say. Sounds like you have a plan for a double cycle, I think that is a great idea. It will give you some peace of mind that at least you will get the best of both and hopefully get your BFP.

Karen,
That is a great fertilization report. Sounds like your embies are off and dividing!. Awesome news, love your PMA, keep us posted.

gi,
I'm with J, this IS really your first attempt. Can't help you with info for your test, sorry.

Dandme,
I had to giggle when I read your post about all we women go thru trying to get PG. The guys have it easy, even the ones that have to have tesa.

Katie,
cannot wait to hear how your transfer went! :D
