I went and got a beta from my family doctor today - I want to know if this is going to be possibly viable before the weekend. DH comes home for a couple of days and I want to be able to either enjoy the weekend or spend it planning our next step.

We won't get the results until tomorrow.. second beta is on friday - and my clinic will have those results to me on the same day.

I tested on a digi today and got a YES... which made me feel pretty good.

I am still very scared underneath the happiness of it all.

Claudia,
That is awesome you have so many frosties!. Interesting that they want to use the 3 day first. Did they give you reasons, or just that is the way it is?

Katie,
I am glad you stayed away from the sticks!. One more sleep until your beta. I am going to cross everything I've got for a BFP for you!

Sonya,
You are PREGNANT!!!!Hurray another BFP. I am so happy for you!

J&C,
My heart is breaking for you. I am so sorry. I hope you and DH can come to an agreement as to how to proceed. Counseling sounds like a good idea, often times it is helpful to have a un-biased professional to help you sort it out.

sarita28,
Try and enjoy your time off. I know it is a stressful time, but at least you don't have to try and juggle your work schedule with the IVF schedule.

Lisa,
I am glad you have decided to move forward with Donor sperm. I would say follow your heart when picking a donor. I agree with Blessedmama, go with a medicated IUI. Success for unmedicated are just not great. I always did medicated with follistim, but have a girlfriend who used clomid and got pg on 1st IUI.

lou,
Glad you had a good time skiing, other than the back slide down the stairs (in a bikini, no less)!. I must say I am impressed with the bikini idea, my bikini days are long gone!. Looks like we will be cycling really close together this time. My DH and I are planning a vaca to Pigeon Forge, TN, if this does not work. It gives us something to look forward to. However, we cannot book cabin until I know the results of this FET as deposit is non-refundable. Soooo, I am so hoping for no vaca and a BFP!

Tania,
I am so sorry (((HUGS)))).

Lou - welcome back! hope you had a great time on your trip! And most of all, congrats on getting the green light to start!! stims in 2 days!! this will be the protocol for you!!! PMA PMA PMA!! Lots of juicy eggies just waiting to be "hatched' ;) Image

Lauren - slow & steady wins the race! don't worry about stimming slowly!! My BEST cycle so far, which resulted in DS was my LONGEST cycle and I had #s much like yours... therefore, this fast one for me makes me very nervous!! I stimmed for 13 days that time and they kept upping my meds!! Hang in there and remember the tortise & the hare ;) Image

Tania - I'm so sorry hon... words are never enough, but know we are all thinking of you... take the time you need to grieve & heal...
Image

gi - GRR! what a pain when the site loses your posts! It seems to always happen to me when I have had some time to actually sit down and take the time to type out a good message! Congrats on stimming!! grow follies grow!!!

Ashley - I'm so sorry you are going through these fears and trials. I am keeping you and your little beanies in my prayers. Keep your PMA and see if you can get that boss to lay off a bit!! Put your feet up every chance you get and do something relaxing to take your mind off things. Image

Katie - has the snow stopped yet?? I'm hoping it does for you soon too! You have to get to your appt tomorrow!!!!
Image

My SIL lives in NYC and is planning to come down to help out with driving & childcare for us this wknd... I hope she is able to make it down! We only got about 6-8 more inches, which seems like nothing compared to the 28" we already had... but the winds were AWFUL yesterday and the drifts are apparently shutting down whole sections of major roads. Craziness. Glad to hear you've ignored the temptation of the evil sticks for another day... ;) I know you can make it until tomorrow!
Image

Sarah - Yup, if you're on follistim, u r stimming! Do they set your ER in advance or do you have an estimated date? I have noticed some people KNOW their date, and others, like me, have an estimated date. My estimated date was Tuesday, but we are ahead of schedule and are looking at either Sunday - possibly Monday. I started my stims on Thursday. We're stimming buddies! Glad the snow has stopped for you.. sorry you're expecting more tho!! Hopefully it will be over before your ER!! We are expecting snow again on Monday (but I"m hoping it will only be flurries)... we'll see.. you never know with this crazy weather we've had!! grow follies grow!!

J&C - so glad to hear you and DH are going to try counseling on your decision. I will keep you in my prayers for the best decision for you all - and especially that you will not have to deal with an ectopic pregnancy. I'm still so sorry about your beta. Thinking of you and wishing you all the best.

DandMe - Hoping you get some definitive news before the weekend so you and DH can enjoy and relax. I know you are being cautious, and understandably so, but we are all hoping that your hpts are correct and you will have nothing to worry about. :)

Ronda - how's it going? here's to NO vaca in TN... ;) that this is YOUR cycle, hon! So sorry, Dolly... maybe another time!
Image

ktelise - hoping the 3rd time is the charm for you! It was for me, so I'm sending my 3rd time charm dust your way ;) good luck with the PIO!

sorry to everyone I missed. thinking of you... just running out of time and space! If I keep it up, I'll have a whole page of post just to myself!

afm - had S&S this morning. RE said still may trigger tomorrow, or possibly Saturday... I have a couple of follies at 19mm, but the majority are still in the 13-15 range. Waiting to get the call this pm about E2 & med dosage. Been on reduced Gonal-F (300 IU from 375) and Luveris (75 IU from 150) for the last 2 days. Looks like it slowed me down a bit. I feel like I'm 3 months pregnant and probably look it too. My right ovary feels exceptionally large. Hoping I can get my SIL from NYC down and my sister from NC up here in time for the ER. With the snow NY is getting, we'll see if we can make it happen.

Sarita -- Yup... I do remember my time at UIHC although it seems like AGES ago. I graduated in 1995. Currently I work as the Clinical Manager of Pharmacy for a large hospital just outside of Chicago. Hence, all my stress! But sometimes I do miss Iowa City. My DH moved there for my last year of school and worked as a pharmacist at UIHC. We lived in an apt right by Carver-Hawekeye Arena so he could easily walk to work. It was a fun time for us. I'm actually doing a fresh cycle this time, not a FET. Happy stimming to you... I'll be joining that club come Saturday.

Ronda -- Glad we'll be cycling together. I love company! As for the bikini... so far I've done a great job on keeping myself in shape and my body fat downaround 15%. A lot of my friends are personal trainers and figure competitors, so I don't want to feel like a slug when I'm with them. I'm used to hitting the gym 6-10 hours a week. They keep me very active and eating lean and green. But I'm ready to let it all go to hell if I can get that BFP! My closest trainer friends say they are going to train my body back into shape in no time once that baby comes. We'll see about that... I may choose to stay at home and cuddle instead... ha ha.

DandMe -- Congrats hun! You are PREGNANT!!!

Hope -- Thanks for the PMA! Yay for triggering soon. Best of luck to you.

katie -- Thanks for your excitement. I so hope you are right about this being a stellar cycle for me. How are you holding up? Your beta is tomorrow right? I've been praying for you.

Good morning, everyone! Well, I've been up since 9:30am, but I am not a morning person. Day off today. No blood work. Just shots at 5:30pm.

Hope644: We are stimming budies, aren't we? :) You have 28" of snow sofar? I'm not sure how much my side of the state has, but my parents live in western Iowa and they've had over 30" sofar! I know they've had a miserable winter...I can venture a guess that yours has been equal. My ER is Tues 2/16. I have b/w tomorrow but no u/s, so I'll have b/w again Sunday with u/s. If they don't tell me Fri when my trigger will be, I'm going to call and specifically ask them how I'm doing. (After b/w I call a 1-800 # and listen to a recording of a nurse telling me what dosages to take until my next b/w date. I don't actually talk to a live person.) Hope you're having a great day! Stay warm!

lou71: I'm sorry I got you confused with someone else. Good luck with the fresh cycle. I will send lots of good vibes your way. You're not that far away, after all!

Sarah - We had 28" of snow last weekend and then more on Tuesday/Wed. The news is going crazy because we've now officially topped the previous 1st place record for the highest snowfall for the season - Dulles Airport has reported an amazing 54" (or something close) topping the highest snowfall ever recorded in the DC area which was in 1899!! They have been saying we need to ship our snow up to Canada for the Olympics! Guess the "snow fairy" got confused and delivered their shipment to us! ;) Are you guys are used to a lot of snow during the winter?

It's funny how different Fertility Clinics can be. Do you have a time after which you are supposed to call your 800 #? My nurse calls me every day that I go in for S&S (bloodwork & ultrasound) - and to my knowledge, except for betas, I've never had bloodwork without an u/s... I guess it all works out. The only thing I would not care for is not being able to talk to a live person - I usually have questions I've saved up for my nurse when she calls... (she probably dreads making the call to me! ;) )

Glad to hear we're stimming together - grow follies grow!!!

Hi everyone -

So grand total for snow was 15" - well thats enough now - Spring please!
Ok so today is the last day of torment, beta is tomorrow. Now my nerves have really kicked in! Yesterday from about 4pm to 11pm I had strong cramping, like a bad AF type, I cant imagine that as a good sign. I've been crampy since the ET, but mild, low in the abdomen, and intermittant.
These yesterday were sharp, and nonstop. all I can do now is wait and hope. I'll be at labcorp when when open at 7am, but you know even though its s stat order I'll end up staring at the phone til the afternoon

J&C -I'm so sorry honey. I know it was an awful week for you.
I 'll keep my fingers crossed that counseling will help your DH get things settled in his head and his heart. I do hope that you try again. (((HUGS))))

Sarah -I've had to do my own IM PIO lots of times before, its really not as bad as you would think. Just a twist in front of a full length mirror. The first time is just strange, but its a relief to know that if you're stuck someday with no one to administer - you'll be fine. 30" of snow?
I like the midwest but your winters are brutal! let me know when you get more dates and I'll update our list. :D

Sonya -I know its official tomorrow - but CONGRATULATIONS!!!! :D

Marci -NO NO NO NO sticks for me - those damn things hate me and like to make me cry  They never give me the answer I want  I love your blinkies!! How are you doing? I've been lurking on your thread ( sounds creepy doesnt it?) When march gets going a little more I'm sure I'll be crashing over there all the time (too many friends over there to cheerlead for!) I'm just hoping that I dont need to be a cycle buddy on april - for the love of, I've been on every thread since JUNE!! I'm exhausted!!!! Miss you! Is Colby dog ready for your injections soon?

Ronda -I love TN - we were married there, in Gaitlinsburg. oh, i love the South. I was lucky enough to live ni GA then AL for 10 years - what I wouldnt give to move back!! Sorry I got lost for a minute - I just hope that you wont be going on a vaca until theres a car seat involved!

Hope -Whew! You sound like you're all coordinated! thats got to be a relief! We are 1 hr N of NYC and all the roads are clear, they're pretty good about snow removal in the city. Ooohh, its sounds like you've got lots of follies going - crossed for you! :D

Lou -Wow! you're at 15% body fat? damn girl! (wolf whistle!)
But you are SO right, for a BFP, who cares, and with loads of trainer friends? You'll be back to bikini ready right quick!! :D

Bethany -Wow you snuck up on us! ER today? I was wondering where you've been? hooray for 3 good eggs! crossed for your fert report tomorrow! get some rest! Hoping for Monday ET!! :D

hugs and prayers to all of us! - -xoxo

Hi Everyone!!! I got REALLY lucky and had today off from work as well (even though the roads are fine!!!) I took my dog to the reservation for an hour hike and we found some of our doggie friends there and they had some sleds so I went sledding which was so much fun!!!! He is now passed out while I do some cleaning (I have been very negligent of the household stuff the past couple of weeks!!!)

Lou-I am also a self claimed "gym rat" but since the summer when I began all the stims/IVF cycles I have not gone nearly as much as I used to and have put on 5-6 pounds   Whenever I do go people make a point to tell me that they don't see me anymore at the gym and then I swear they look at my stomach to see if I'm pregnant!!!! I may be paranoid but I can't wait until I really do a have cute belly to look at and then you better believe I will be hardcore once baby is here!!!! (I'm at least telling that to myself now)

Katie-ONE MORE DAY!!! AHHHHH....I am soooo hoping the best for you and DH and I got everything crossed for you hon!!! I know you and Ronda asked about the 3 day frosties and I think the RE rational is to use them first since there are more so they can defrost more at a time and since there are only 2 5 day blasts, they want to save those since if they don't defrost nicely I will have done all the preparation for a FET for nothing!!!

Sonya-WHERE RU?? I have been waiting all day for your beta numbers!!!

Hope-Good luck with your phone call today and hopefully they will have a better idea when your ER will be!! Fingers crossed!

Bethany-good to hear from you!! Can't wait to hear the fertilization report today:)

Sarah-welcome!!! A machine for your instructions?!?!? That would kill me since I am also a Type-A personality and need to ask a million questions!!! All the nurses and RE's know me by name and when I call they are like "oh hi Claudia!!!" hehe-good luck with getting your trigger/ER instructions!!

Lauren-once all the follies start to grow your E2 levels will jump up!! Good luck with your next SnS!

GI-how's the stimming going? Sorry the website lost your long post....hope all is well!!

Ashley-how is the spotting today? I hope you are relaxing still and keeping those feet up. My SIL spotted for 6 weeks in her first trimester and she is now almost 30 weeks....try not to stress!

Karen-how's the 2ww going? Enjoy the long weekend and I love your PMA!!!

AFM...I still have a light AF and I'm on day 6?? I'm not going to stress and I have my SnS tomorrow morning so I will get a lining check. I'm assuming it will be between 3-4!!! Starting to cry at TV shows and I watched Twilight yesterday (have not surrendered to reading the books yet) but that Edward Cullen sure is a cutie!!!!

hey girls~ Just popping in real quick.

katie! Cramping like that can be a good thing. I had severe cramping before finding out I was preggars with DS. Ya never know:) Good luck tomorrow. I have everything crossed for ya!

J&C~ Still thinking of you. Hang in there girl!

Sonya~ Hello??? where are those beta numbers?????

Anyways, I think I am out ladies. I started spotting this morning and its gotten heavier. Last IVF cycle I started 2 days before beta too! This makes sense since during my cycle, my lining was getting thinner before transfer. Ugh....the thought of going through this again...but we will....I am sure. Keepo your eye on the proze right? I will let you know how things progress but I am not real hopeful. I think I will be jumping over to the next board before long. Hang tight ladies....our day is coming!
