Ghost - Anyone else with symptoms??

Post by ktelise »

Hello,

I had my 3rd FET on Monday and I find that I am absolutely dying of thirst and cannot get enough water to drink. I think I remember having this with my 2nd transfer which was BFP.

Has anyone had this symptom and got a BFP??? And, is this an early pregnancy sign?

Hi Lou, I wanted to post the link of the research I found about ET with 3 or less follicules: http://humrep.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/co ... 15/10/2140
After reading the replies about your question 3dt vs 5 dt, it totally make sense to do a 3dt when we have few embryos. This is the first time for me so I am really clueless... I will check with my dr to find out what he is planning for me but 3dt sounds good to me. I sure it will work out for you.

Hope: Thanks for the info, PMA.. of course...Positive Mental Attitute!! Dahhh I am so stupid sometimes..
I am happy everything went well for you.

Sarita: I am from France and my husband is from Mexico so we know a lot about immigraton issues between my experience and his different family members. I was sponsored by the company I worked for and I paid the same for lawyer fee as you but let me tell you, it was worth every penny. My sister inlaw had to go back to Mexico when she sponsored her husband and because they did not want to pay for a lawyer, it ended up being a bureaucratic nightmare and at the end, between the time away from work, the fees and cost of mexico living, it ended up being the same price with lots of stress added...The lawyer is really mandatory to have so all your stress, questions, worries, go to him. It is his job to handle it...Specially if you are a hot pregnant mama by the time it all come together, the less stress for you the better...Hang in there and I know it is hard to do but be patient. At the end, when he gets its papers, you will look at this experience as a positive challenge that you overcame and made your couple stonger.

No update so far, I still have 3 main follicules and a forth one behind. They are between 18 and 15 mm and the last one 12 mm. I should trigger tomorrow or Saturday. Is there is any change I can ovulate on my own? I am afraid of that because triggering on saturday seems a little too late to me... but I am probably wrong...

Hi everyone -

Ok I did it, I put up a winter pg thread. I made it as "09/'10 so just in case there were any nov /dec girls around they will come on over too
Now bring on the BFPs! Lots of them! :D

Chris thanks! I've got a good feeling for this double cycle plan. I think your sister is too wonderful for words1 Now how much legal wrangling will you have? Is that a state thing? Being your sister, I cant see why there would be lawyers needed at all? X'd for you as always

Gi -thanks! oh, yes you will be "winter too!" I'm glad to hear that your drip went well. How many more of those will you have? - xoxo
Gi's Mam Hello! that was such a sweet thing last week! So, are you ready to be a GrandMam? :D xoxo

Stats 23.5 weeks already? Wow! Sept doesnt seem like it was that long ago. Maybe because its taken me forever to get there? Are you all ready for twins? one of each! it doesnt get more perfect than that does it? -xoxo

Claudia - Whooo Hooo! for that lining girl! I'm send you more thickening dust and hoping for 10mm! :D Boy, you & Ronda ET next week! You two snuck up on me!

Ronda -Good luck with your SnS tom! Much thickening dust to you too! You should start on increasing your water intake and taking Colace now before ET
UGH - nothing like coming home after ET and having the mental trauma of pushing them out due to constipation. I learned that one the hard way - xoxo

Roshaunda Oooh, I cant wait for your u/s! Your betas were a little high..... xoxo

MerriI was crampy the whole 2ww. I always hear that brown spotting is a good sign... 1 more day! you can do this!!

Hope Yiiipppeee 9 fert! :D And your RE calling them "fabulous"! You'll be PUPO tomorrow!!! :D

Lisa thanks honey, that was sweet. I'll stay crossed for your March cycle! So happy that you both jumped right back in! How is your DH doing? -xoxo

Lou - Hee Heee! I've heard the 'ready uterus" described as an open faced PB sandwich! Yes, that sticky! And they sort of place them in the right spot, yes as Ghost said "they are free to move about the cabin" but they DONT fall out! I had the exact same crazy fears right before too! my RE said that they used to do mostly 5dt, but in the past few years its now 90% 3dt - he's a big believer in inside is better. - xoxo

Meganlynn Congrats for 18 fert! :D You'll have totsicles for days! Yay PUPO on Sunday!

Lauren Whoo Hoooo! See what a difference 2 days can make? So happy for you! now you have double!!!

Ktelise - I'm not sure if extreme thirst is a pg symptom - but I was like that also....

Whew! I feel like I wrote a book! hugs & prayers to us all! -- xoxoxo

Sarah X'd for your ER tomorrow! hoping for lots of healthy eggies!

Positivelupron or ganirelix whichever you're on prevent premature ovulation. Every time you get blood drawn they are checking your LH levels also.
Try to not stress, I know its almost impossible :D

Question to all team IVF players and Ghost too.

As everyone knows evil lupron over supressed me ans I was cancelled my first go round. Now its time for round 2 and I am doing an antagonist protocol. In round 1, I had a period started BCP, stopped BPC started lupron, stopped lupron started stims, stopped stims on day 7 with no ER.
Round 2, plan, AF, start BCP (now... which is mid Feb.) but if ER is last week of March, figure a week to 10 days of stims. I was told I would not have another period after this one before ER. When I stop BCP to start stims wont AF show again????? I am very confused. I know this protocol is different I just need someone to explain it to me in ENGLISH. Does anyone understand how I wont get another period when I stop BCP to start stims?

Signed, confused but happy, AF showed today and brought her cramppy friends.

katie- i saw your pregnant winter 09/10 cycle thread! unfortunately, i will not be able to join, but i wil definitely visit. we are planning on taking a break until july/august, so if you can definitely visit me on that thread. how are you feeling mama? i love your ticker....so cute!

positive- the ganirelix (if that's what you're on) will keep you from ovaluting. woohoo for almost trigger time!

karen- congratulations! your ticker is great too! i absolutely love your pma. when i do my cycle in july/august, i will have to stalk you just so some of that pma can rub off on me, lol! can't wait to hear your doubling beta # today! enjoy your lunch date with your friend!

lauren- that is wonderful news about your follies! i'm so happy for you! can't wait to hear when you trigger.

bei- how are you hun? yay for lupron time!

sarah- i hope you're feeling better sweetie. good luck on tomorrow's er...can't wait to hear how many eggs they get!

meganlynn- 22 & 18 fertilized? that is really good! so you'll be doing a 6dt if it's on saturday? how many will you be transferring? the et is not bad at all...kind of like a pap. did they give you a script for valium? they gave me a script before i left after my er. if they didn't, i suggest to call & ask if they can call it in for you or if you can pick it up. it just relaxes you & makes the experience a little less stressful. have you received any reports on how your embabies are doing? hope you're feeling better.

tracy- i'm so sorry! take this time to heal & think about your future. take all the time you need, as this is one of the most difficult things to cope with. (((HUGS)))

lou- i'm glad you decided to go forward. i know it's stressful & you can't help but worry, but the quality is so much more important than the quantity. as far as the 3dt versus the 5dt, both schools of though (as hope had mentioned) have their points. it's a difficult decision to make. i say go with whatever your re says & trust his/her instincts.

lisa- i'm so glad that you & dh are moving forward & trying donor sperm. don't worry about the delay...just keep that pma up!

hope- good luck on your et tomorrow! yes, you're almost pupo! as your re said, your embabies are definitely looking fabulous!

roshaunda- your u/s is friday! that's tomorrow!!! i can't wait to hear how your baby (babies) is (are) doing!

bethany- please do not feel like a failure! it is not your fault! i do hope things work out for you sooner than later, but whenever they do, i know they will! ((((HUGS)))

cami/j & c- both of you had f/u appointments on the 16th, this past tuesday. how did it go? how are you doing girls?

samantha- i'm thinking about you sweetie.

ashley- congrats on twin girls! you & dh must be so excited!

shikha goel- your beta is today. can't wait to hear about your bfp!

merri- good luck on tomorrow's beta! fingers are crossed!

to those of you who i missed, i'm thinking of all of you!

afm...dh & i have a f/u appointment with his urolgist/male infertility specialist. we shall see what he says. im off from school this week...february break...just relaxing & doing a whole lot of nothing, lol! we're planning a vacation for the 3rd week of july....somewhere on the gulf coast of florida. i'm trying to get motivated & energozed to start working out & doing zumba again...once i get into it, i love it....it's just actually starting again.

grrr! my first time being booted off the "new & improved" site!!!!!

i can't type all that again. :( going to try to cut/paste from my email to my dear friends helping to keep me sane during all this... i will try to do personals while on my 24 hr bed rest

-------------

We still have 9 growing today.

5 are at the compacting stage, which is the ideal stage for today, just before they become blastocysts on Day 5. 1 is 14 cells, 1 is 12 cells, and 2 are 8 cells. Only two have fragmentation, 1 at 5% and 1 at 10%. I'm assuming those with frag are the smaller ones, but I don't know for sure.

Transfer is tomorrow at 10:30am. Nurse said doctor will likely call me back later today or leave a note with dr for tomorrow's procedure to discuss # to transfer. We've never had that discussion before, with the exception of when i asked if we could do 3 instead of 2, which she agreed to without hesitation... the only thing I can think is that she could suggest we only do 1 - which i will fight against. DH is terrified of twins, but he's done with his process now... he won't have to go thru any more procedures if we have to do it again... besides, i'm still not opposed to 2 ;) but will gladly take just one more!

it worked! more later... hugs to each of you...

Evening ladies,

Oh Hope i love my little irish shamrock thanks!!! Sounds like you have a great crop of embies, i too dont have a great fert. rate but hey quality over quality anytime!!!! Soon you will be PUPO!!

Lisa glad you enjoyed your break and now rearing to go again, its important to get in the right frame of mind before going straight back in. Donor sperm and IUI sounds great fingers crossed for you xxx

lou i tried a 5 day transfer once and i was so exctied but my dreams were shattered as none made it, i did 2 3day transfers and both were positive my re says 3 day suits me better as they are where they belong besides i dont end up with my embies so i am not risking not having a transfer.

Blessedmama i am so sorry about your beta ((((hugs from ireland))))

Sarita good luck tommorrow with EC xxx

bei Yeah for starting Lupron all systems go!!!!

Lauren great news on them 11 follies what a difference a few days make we should be triggering close together.

Rhonda good luck tomorrow with scan, sounds like your lining is looking good!

ktelise congrats on making it to transfer, i really hope the thirst is a sign of your bfp oh now i will be obsessing over all the different symptoms if i make it to transfer :D

Positivethinking i hope you have some good quality eggs in there, i know the fear of ovulating early is terrible but you are in good hands, best of luck xxx

Katie i have to have another drip session 1 wk after transfer and if pg (please please god) then 2 wks after that. My mam doesnt cry often but your message had her in tears, she has been a rock to me and knows i have many hurdles to overcome getting pg is only one of them, she did lose her faith after my last m/c and was so angry with god and my late grandfather and her late brother but now she is back praying and believing that it can happen for me. I would love to give her a grandchild and its my dads birthday around testing day so what a great bday present for him!!!

karen and dandme love the tickers

Merri best of luck with beta you are nearly there and really hope we get to add another BFP to the list xxx

roshunda good luck with scan tomorrow cant believe its here already!!! Oh i am so excited for you cant wait to hear the details.

I had a lovely relaxing day today, slept 11 hrs last nite oh the joys of not having to work, brought my doggie for a light stroll j bought me one of those exendible leads so he doesnt pull me too much, i also did a good bit of my rug its coming on lovely may figure out what to do with it. Right may go take my sniffer, have a scan tomorrow so hopefully should know when triggering.

gi xxx
7th IVF finally our precious miracle girl Kayla born 24/11/10, 8th IVF FET Sept 2012 BFP!!!

Awwww, I just got a thank you card from my RE & his wife! it was so sweet, it made me cry! He said that they put the sculpture on their mantle and that it will remind them of the patients that really touched them. I'm pretty sure that when I see this man on tues I'll be in tears all over again! I still say that was a hell of a trade - we gave them artfully arranged fruit & a sculpture, and he gave us embies - heee heee

Es I hope that your f/u with the urologist gives some fresh insight, maybe a different approach? You come visit anytime you feel like! You have carte blanche! the one thing I hate about theses cycle threads is how everyone tends to scatter afterwards. I mean we're all close, why do we have to lose touch? Does it matter which threads we're on? I dont think so. Your vacation sounds great! Just the way to relax before another cycle. And you're darn right, i'll be crashing for you on july/aug - hee heee - I was on this years! much love - xoxo

Hope - Yay for 9! And having choices!!! i'm wishing you mountains of super sticky dust for tomorrow! PUPO!!!

Gi Just 1 drip before and 1 drip after ET? Thats not as bad as I thought :D Ummm... now will you need any more WHEN you're pg? Notice that says "when" and not "if" - I've everything crossed for you as always - xoxo - hugs & kisses to your Mam too! :D
Good luck with your scan tomorrow! You'll be triggering soon!

Lou How are you doing today? Did you hit up your Re with those questiions yet? Are you feeling ok? The last few days of stims are always soooo uncomfortable - ugh - xoxo

Jacqueline / Roshaunda / Ashley /Sonya / Karen Ummmm... guys? its kinda lonely over on the pg side (hint hint)

Karen -- Yay for an increased beta! :D Looking good!!!

Katie -- Yup... feeling sorta icky and bloated. Had a nasty headache today too. Ugh! I do feel better about things after hearing from RE and the girls on this board. Thanks for asking.

Gi -- Thanks for sharing your experience with 3 and 5 day transfers. I guess it's trial and error to find what's best for each person.

Hope -- Good luck on your transfer tomorrow!!!

positivethinking -- Thanks for that article. It made me feel a bit better about my future here. I think I'll probably trigger on Sunday so we're going to be together on this one!

moore-- you're right, I will go with what RE thinks is best. I do trust him.

AFM -- Day 6 of stims, started Ganirelix this AM. Go for another SnS tomorrow. Hoping the two smaller follies are catching up so I can have 5 or 6 eggs instead of 4. We shall see!
