Just got the call from the lab -- Beta HCG is 267!. Whooo hooo. We are way ahead of where we were the first time we got a BFP. I'm taking it as a great sign.

I promise I'll do personals later. Thank you everyone for all your well wishes and congratulations! DH and I are walking on air today :-)

Merri-HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND CONGRATS PREGGO MOMMY!!! 267 sounds like multiples to me!!! Fingers crossed for rising beta numbers...enjoy your birthday celebration :P

Katie-I took a peak at your new thread pregnant after treatment and I CAN'T wait to be on that thread with you since THIS WILL BE TIME!!!

Lauren-YAH for triggering!!! Good luck and hope they get tons of follies.

Dodo-I hope that you get yourself better and find out what is causing this to your body and I hope you stay lurking and I will be rooting you on!!

Lou-my clinic feels that 3dt are just as successful because with my last cycle I had 19 going strong and they still wanted to keep me at a 3dt?!?!? Hoping that you make the decision that will work best for you and that you will get a BFP this cycle so you don't have to stress about insurance!!

Miyaya-so sorry hon to hear about your insurance and your DH change in heart. I agree with with everyone said that he is also feeling the disappointment from your chemical and to let him mourn over the loss before moving ahead. Wishes are with you both and I hope to hear fro you soon

Karen-YAH for your high beta numbers yesterday!! SO excited to hear if there is one or two beans in there!!!

Ronda-lining at a 12?!?!?! Holy cow!! sooo jealous!!! I will find out Monday when my FET will take place but most likely on Friday (the day after you!!!)

GI-YAH for trigger and having 16 follies!!!! Will be thinking and praying for you Monday morning!!! Love the story about breaking into the bay window!!!

AFM...sorry to be MIA these past few days (have been reading on the blackberry but not posting)! Just trying to keep up the PMA until Monday and hoping for the best!! Hope everyone enjoys the weekend and next week is back to work

Ok, I am triggering tonight and doing ER Sunday 2/21 wil Lou!!!! I have to take my Ovidrel out with me and do it in the bathroom like a junkie lol! My DH has to work Sunday and now is trying to get the day off. He has no choice, but his job is not happy with ppl calling in or taking vaca days and is watching everyone. I told him to tell the boss what's going on. I am a little stressed about it because he said he is going to work right after we get home from ER, and I would rather him be home. Guys have it so easy!

Do you guys usually take the day after ER off from work? Last time my ER was on a Saturday so I had Sunday off anyway, and I was glad because I was in so much pain. This time I am supposed to work Monday and no one can really fill in. My boss understands so if I can't make it I can't make it, but I hate to leave them short-handed. Not to mention I don't get paid for days off so I would rather work if I am able to.
I will be so relieved on Wednesday when this is done! Actually nevermind that....after my 2ww and a BFP I will be relieved lol!

Thanks Claudia -- I have no option but to leave the choice of a 3dt vs 5dt to my RE. I will trust and go with what he suggests. His success rates are very high, so they must be doing something right there!

I am looking forward to going through the 2ww with Gi, Positive, Lauren, Claudia, and Ronda (did I miss anyone?). Let's close out the board with a slew of BFP's!!! :D

Lauren -- Triggering tonight?!?! Hope you get awesome quality eggs to fertilize!

AFM -- I just got the call and received my instructions. I am not triggering tonight. II will do another 450 units of Follistim and 30 units HCG (anyone else doing low dose HCG with their stims?). I have another SnS tomorrow morning and I take my Ganirelix at 9AM. I thought they measured a follie at 20mm earlier but the nurse just told me my chart says "17mm". So maybe I have a couple of days for the small ones to catch up? I've got 4 big ones and a couple of 10's that I'm crossing my fingers hard for. My LH and progesterone are still 0.9 and 1.0. My E2 is 706. I'm pretty sure I'll have ER on Monday 2/22 and ET on Thurs 2/25. But I'm hoping for Tuesday and Friday.

Lauren -- I felt only slightly sore right after ER but as the day went on, I was in agony. My nightfall I couldn't even raise my leg to get into bed and I was in tears. I took a pain med and luckily fell asleep. My morning, I was just back to being a bit sore and I did go to work. I moved very slowly for a couple of days though. I would definitely take it day by day and see how you feel. If you are in pain, stay home and rest. That's what I'm planning. I don't know what to expect this time around either. Good luck, you're in my thoughts!

Just checking in really quick. ER was at 7:30 am; I was the first case. I was back in my origination point recovering by 8am. No pain from the procedure. I've just been watching TV and napping. I started crying when they told me the preliminary report. As of Tuesday, I had 9 follicles. They only got 6 eggs today. I'm very worried to hear if I make it. I will. I have to, right? PMA! Anyway, time for some cookies and watching Ace of Cakes.

Merri: Congratulations!

Lauren and Lou: Good luck triggering! Praying for lots of eggies!

Miyaya: I am so sorry for your disappointing and stressful news. My husband is totally against adopting (my best friend is adopted,) and I would love to adopt someday (even if I successfuly bare children of my own.) Hopefully he'll come around and decide that it's what he wants afterall.

Sarita- it only takes one! Just try to rest up and get ready to be PUPO

Lou and Lauren- yah for trigger!! Get ready you are almost PUPO too!

Claudia- keep up that PMA girl, PMA, PMA :D

Merri- Happy Happy Birthday! What a wonderful birthday present! Congratulations to you and DH :D

Karen- you feeling pregnant yet? great doubling numbers.

Miyaya- I'm so sorry sweetie. You and DH need time to grieve and then you two can sit down and think things over and talk about the next step. Don't have any regrets, everything happens for a reason ((((Hugs)))

dodo928- I hope you get to feeling better real soon

Gi- I'm with Katie, enjoy that last glass of wine :D

Katie- how you feeling mommie?

AFM- I had my u/s today, saw my little peanut with a strong heartbeat. I just balled when they turn the sound up so I could hear the heartbeat. I have learned the beta numbers can be deceiving. My first beta 12d3dt for 365 and 15d3dt was 1250 and we have one beautiful little bambino.

Merri CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
That is an awesome beta!!!! I'm so happy for you!! Beta #2 on Mon?

lou that was an interesting article. I wonder why he does AH on every embie though? I was under the impression that that was standard only for women over 35. He raises some points on saying the lab environment better copies the fallopian tubes, but my RE says that as long as they are in the dish, they are still at risk ( temp, noise, disturbances, lights) If you feel that strongly you should print out that article and see what your RE says about it. But then you risk pissing him off about second guessing his choices. UGH why is this always so stressful? And besides, I thought they like to see how many, and how they look before making a ET decision? I'm just hoping that you dont stress yourself too much worrying. Please? :D

Lauren YAY for trigger! My 1st & 3rd ERs were no problem at all - but #2 wow was I sore! it depends on how difficult it is to get them out. as long as there are no complications, you take it easy, i dont see why you couldnt go in on monday - wait you do have a sittng type job, I hope?

Dodo -Oh, my - you have really been through the wringer lately. i hope that you're feeling like yourself soon! Will the donor wait a month?

Claudia I missed you. When is your next lining check? I'm still sending you thick thoughts!

Hello ladies

Well, I'm officially Image!!

ET went well. I must admit, tho. I was severely unhappy with the technician that assisted the RE. Not only did she press (unnecessarily hard, in my opinion) on my extremely full bladder, but she smelled like she had lathered up her hands in B&BW scented lotion!!!!! GRRRRRR!!!   - I don't know about others, but our clinic states clearly not to wear any scented or powdered things to the ET - same for DH! I didn't even put on make up today because I wear bare minerals and was afraid of the powderiness!!! She better not put my embaby at risk!!!!

which brings me to my next thing... RE called on the way to the appt. She said I had 6 blastocysts today and 3 pre-blasts. One of the blasts was an extremely high quality embie, she called it an A++ embryo. As I feared, she highly recommended a single blast transfer. I was disappointed. DH and I talked about it for the remaining 45 min of the trip and he convinced me to go with the recommendation. :( I agreed, primarily because I know the additional stress that having a twin pregnancy and then actual twins (even with zero complications which we all know are quite possible) would have on my DH. Since my DSSs live so far away and we don't do daycare for DS and the fact that we don't have any family nearby that could help out ... it could really be too much to have a 2 year old and newborn twins. :( I am somewhat sad about it, but realize that for us, it is likely the best decision... and if we do have frosties, which is likely, but we won't know until Monday -- then we can always do another FET later if we decide that we would like to have more... and hopefully my DH will be closer to retirement, if not retired and we will at least be closer to family should we find ourselves pg with twins.

I hope to be able to catch up more and do personals tomorrow afternoon or night... I am trying to type now on my DH's laptop as I lay on the couch with my required 24 bedrest (the nurse was like Nurse Ratchett this time - she said, "when i say bedrest, i mean, you can get up to pee. and 24 hrs starts when you get home.") anyway, the laptop is getting hot! i dont want to keep it near embaby too long..

oh and I got a pic this time!! my first blast, i guess, but very cool!

best wishes to all with upcoming procedures. i will check in on your progess soon. wishing you lots of sticky sticky baby dust!!

LOU - My first cycle of IVF we transferred 2 blasts. We originally had eight left and none were left except for the 2 blasts. They had froze right away 2 2PN, which I believe is like a one day. Well, I figured we would be preggo with 2 blasts transferred and that cycle failed. We did an FET with 2, 2day and had a BFP which turned into a chemical. I now wish I hadn't gone to blast cause the FET is sooooo much easier and if I had more embies to transfer. Now we are going to have to do a full cycle again and start paying out of pocket, I would of preferred to pay for an FET rather than a full cycle. My new RE said that the embies are better off inside you than in a dish. I'm still pissed @ myself for going to blast  I thought that made better chances for me. Next time I will save all my embies and freeze them. I was told when I went to blast I could lose the whole crop and I lost 6 of them. Now I wonder if those embies lost if had been transferred to me, if they would have made it ???? The choices we have to make, can make your head spin !!!!! Good luck on your decision and baby dust to ya :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Miyaya,

I understand what you are saying about money issues. I live in a state where NO infertility treatment is covered at all so after doing last years taxes we calculated that we spent over $19000.00 on medical bills. This actually made me sick to my stomach...now there is no way I am turning back until I have a healthly baby in my arms! I had my 3rd FET on Monday so I am keeping my fingers crossed and praying for a positive outcome.

I would have to say that those of you who have been lucky enough for insurance coverage...consider yourself lucky and I wish I could only have been in your position.

Somehow things always work out but when you are in our position it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel!

Congrats to you all who have BFP's!! Woo hoo!

Hello Ladies, I just wanted to give you some updates... I have 3 good follicules: 21, 20 and 18 and 1 small one at 12...
Anyway I triggered last night at 11:30pm... by the way I was taking Lupron to prevent ovulation, and stopedp before I started stims...I did not know it was active for 2 weeks...Thanks for everyome who got back to me....
Anyways, when they gave me the instruction and times for the trigger shot, once I hang up I was so nervous about the trigger shot... I started crying in the afternoon, (7 or 8 hours before the actual shot.) I know I should join Celine Dion in the DRAMA QUEEN club..  , I know I know... Sorry...well I just want to say that after putting ice for 5 minutes, I did not feel the shot at all... I was telling my dh to hurry up and asking what he was waiting for, why it was taking so long but he was already done.... OMG I am soooo happy it is over with, I was so stressed... and after I was celebrating....not I am afraid about the IV tomorrow for the ER but I am sure it will be fine.. I need to relax and be realistic instead of panicking for nothing... I know I know DRAMA QUEEN again.... sorry....  I have all my PMA checked so no worries...

I will do personal tomorrow when I come back from ER in the afternoon. I am also thinking of Gi and Lou, Sarita and Lauren we are doing it at the same time more or less... This is exciting...
