Lauren -- 15 is a great number! I wish I had half that many. Can't wait to hear your fert report!

Gi -- Yay for trigger! Good luck at ER!

Claudia -- Good luck at your SnS tomorrow! I hope your lining is nice and think for that transfer! :D

Hope -- Thanks for the PMA. Keep us posted if you POAS! Just don't do it too early.

Katie -- You have an u/s already on Tues? Isn't that early? Good luck! I'm glad to hear you are feeling good! Bathing the dog is on my list to do today as well. I have a 55 lb female boxer named Roxy. She's a great dog. I don't envy you with the fishtank though. I had a friend who stayed with us for a while and had a salt water fish tank. When he moved out, the water got spilled on my carpet. I had to replace it. It smelled HORRIBLE!!! That did it for me. No fish tank. But I love to scuba dive and have been diving all over the world. I especially love the big animals and have had the pleasure of coming face to face with whale sharks, humpback whales and their calves, manta rays, lemon sharks, bull sharks, grey sharks, blacktip sharks, silky sharks, great scalloped hammerhead sharks, and great white sharks (I was in a cage) among others. Maybe I'm just meant to be in their tank with them?

Positivethinking -- Where are you? Did you have ER? I hope you were able to get at least those three good ones. Do you have to do your trigger IM? My clinic does the HCG subcutaneously so it's a short needle in the stomach just like the stim meds. Update us! My fingers have been crossed for you!

AFM -- Well, I guess the Ganirelix really slows things down because I didn't have much growth from yesterday and so I STILL am not triggering. I am glad for the extra day, esp since my clinic gave me a couple of follistim cartridges :) . My E2 is 956 (734 yesterday) and my LH is 3.2. My lining is ready at 12 mm, so that's good. My follies are as follows 18, 18, 16, 14, 11, 10, & 9 (yesterday's numbers were 17, 16, 14, 14, 10, 10, 8). That's really slow, isn't it? I'm on 450 of Follistim! It's looking like I will have 4 ready at the same time. The nurse doesn't think any of the others have a chance at catching up. But I'm going to cross my fingers and pray like crazy that the 11 & 10 might get big enough as well. Anyone know if a follie that's at 13 or 14 can be mature? A nurse at my clinic told me they go after anything bigger than 10, so why would they do that if there was no hope for them? I'll probably have ER on Wednesday. My RE is doing surgeries in the morning so I'll be scheduled in the afternoon. If he gets held up, another RE will have to do my procedure. I don't really mind that if that's what it is.

Lou. My last ultrasound numbers were similar to yours. I had 12 that were measurable but some were only 12 or 13mm. Today I got 15, so don't worry. Plus you will get a few good ones because the less you get the better quality they usually are.

My stomach is killing me if I take the heat off. Can't wait for 2 weeks! My clinic is large, so I get whatever doc is on duty that week. I happened to get my RE today, which was good.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes!!!

Lou YAY for stimming for another day! Theres a sentence I never thought I'd say  My DH is an avid diver also, I think he'd love to go in a cage near a Great White - I cant believe you did that you crazy girl! Bet is was awesome and something you'll never forget - but scary too? I like my sharks just fine IN the aquarium where I can watch them behind all that glass! My RE likes to trigger at 20mm, but he's said that the sometimes you can get a mature follie from a 16mm - so I've got fingers crossed for you to get as many as possible! Are you feeling uncomfortable? Boy, the last few days of stims are rough! I remember thinking please just get them OUT! We have a 10yo Great Dane (Cassie) and a 9 month old English mastiff puppy, so between the both of them its almost 300lbs of canine. Thankfully they both like baths - its the mani/pedi that they have to be hunted down for - and then my DH has to lay on them and its still a wrestling match! but too funny! Yes, they booked me a u/s for tues which will be 5w3d - way early! I was concerned about why so early, but they also told me to bring the contact info of the OB that I want to use, so that calmed me down a bit. I guess my RE is in a big hurry to get rid of me? Ha ha I asked the nurse isnt that too early? and she said he will most likely have me come back for another one. I guess he's just overly cautious, which is fine by me. But I'm hoping he sees a "blob" and a sac and whatever else is suppossed to be there! So i'm guessing you'll be having yet another SnS tomorrow ? X'd for your follies!! - xoxo

Hope 18 days past ER??? OMG - thats soooo long! No wonder you are the POAS queen! How could you not be if they want you to wait that long?

Sarah When is your ET? Did you get your fert report?

Lauren Is your ET still on Wed? or did they switch it to Friday? Get some rest and hoping that you're soreness subsides! :D

Katie I can't wait to hear about your u/s....it's so exciting!!! My RE doesn't do 5d transfers, so I will be going Wednesday 2/24.
Lou it's weird that the nurse said there is no hope for the smaller follicles. This is only my 2nd IVF but both times I got more eggs than I expected. I thought doctors and nurses were supposed to keep their patients hopeful? I think you will get a couple more! Good luck! I will be thinking of you.

Sorry I've been MIA. I went to visit a friend out of town for the weekend and didn't have internet access. I got my fert report yesterday, and then spent the rest of the afternoon crying. So, 3 eggs were excellent, two were "ok", and one was too immature. My husband had over 15 million sperm in 1ml! and motility was 90%! That's the best he's ever done! Out of the 5 good ones, only one fertilized. So, transfer is tomorrow at 9:30am. When I talked to the nurse yesterday, the embryologist was already gone for the day, so I had to wait and talk to her today. She said by day two they usually like the embryo to be 2-4 cells, and ours is a 6-cell, but average. Of course I'm terribly worried. PMA PMA PMA PMA PMA...

Also, my husband called me last night to tell me one of his best friends got pulled over by a cop who was waiting outside a place where they know immigrants hang out. He's now awaiting deportation and there's nothing their lawyer can do. I feel so sorry for his wife. They have been together the same amount of time and my hubby and I, but they just did a JOP last Sept and were planning for a BIG wedding this summer.

So, those two things happening yesterday kind of ruined my weekend away, but I'm glad to be home. And tomorrow I'll be PUPO!

Sarah - I'm glad you're keeping up the PMA!!!! I'm so sorry you've had such a rough weekend. :( You've gotta keep up the pma for your little embie, tho!!! I seriously am starting to think the stress of my first cycle (worrying about the number and quality of my embies made a big difference in my bfn. So don't you let anything get in the way of the positive, comfy environment for your embie! You are bringing him/her home tomorrow!!! Congrats on being PUPO in just a few short hours! Image

Lou - keep on growin' follies!! sounds like they are moving along, tho! Don't forget, slow & steady wins the race!!Image Your diving experience sounds fantastic!!! My DH and I started diving shortly after getting married about 7 yrs ago. We fell in love with it. Of course, DSSs and trying to have children have put a big kink in our diving adventures and we haven't been now in gosh, at least 4 years. We went on several cruises in the caribbean to dive in every port. It was a lot of fun, but nothing like what you've done! We were pretty excited to see some huge manta rays, and a few sea turtles and a nurse shark or two, but that's about all for the big boys. I actually enjoyed swimming with a huge school of grouper in Honduras. They reminded me of cows. ;)

Lauren - Sorry to hear you're tummy is hurting. :( mine hurt for several days too. :( Glad you got your Doc! Mine is very large too. I actually asked the RE who did my ET how many they have - 25!! I haven't had the same RE do any of my procedures twice - and this makes 10 total for me now. I actually got my RE for ER this time too! It was kind of cool! No 5dts at your clinic? I've never heard of that. But, it is good to know that you KNOW the day of your ET! And it sounds like you're going to have quite a few to choose from!! Good luck! Can't wait to hear the fert report tomorrow!!

ah, time to go nighty-night. gotta get extra rest for the embie! (My DH & DSS have been calling it Icky - short for Ichabod... my DS was called Armando Ishcabibble Ishiquah for the duration of my pregnancy... I'm thinking Icky may just be the beginning of a string of random names that DH & DSSs come up with over the course of time! - but they do seem to enjoy it :) )

Good morning ladies...Well I am still in bed relaxing...
Sarita: I am sorry only one egg fertilized and I am also sorry about your friend being pulled over. It really sucks but you know that this is the risk people take. Stay positive, you dont need more stress in your life. I hope your embryos will implant well. You only need one so stay positive. When is the ET?
Merry: Congratulation. You are pregnant. Thank you for sharing the story of your dh and the trigger shot, it made me feel better...I am not alone freaking out…
Lou: I hope you get more egg, so this is great you stimm longet. Usually I think the follicules grow 10mm per day so yours are okay....Well keep us updated on the ER day...
Lauren: Your story with the shot in the movis is very funny. Mine was intra muscular (bid needle... but with the ice I did not feel a thing...) Great for 15 eggs..Congratulation...
Roshaunda: great for the heart beat..enjoy your pregnancy...
Hope: The picture is cool, I hope they will give me one as well. One baby is great especially if you know the embryos was such a good quality...Good luck with the HPT, you make me laugh... I will try to resist when the time comes but you are right 18 days is way too long...
Claud: good luck on your lining
Dodo: I hope you recover well, your dodo sounds very nice...
Gi: How was your trigger shot and ER?
MeganLynn: I hope the 2ww goes fast for you...breath, relax and stay calm (I know ...very easy to say... sorry I know have any advice :(
Katie: I have a 70lbs labrador and I dont even try to give him a bath... I always pay the $30 at petsmart and they do it for me.. otherwise it is a mess. With the snow and everything he really need a bath but I dont have time do make an appointment...I also had a fish tank... this is so messy and you put new fish all the time and then they die... so when we moved I stopped the fish tank experience... Good luck with all your animals...fish, dog..rooster next door.. anything else??

Updates: I went for ER yesterday and everything went well. My god, I really freaked out (again) with the anesthesist came with his IV but he was so nice about it (I dont event want to know what he was thinking... I was such a baby   )..Of course I did not feel a thing and everthing went very well. :D Yesterday I was sore, but not so much. I watched 2 movies (thanks Netflix) and went to bed at 8pm. I am so tired. Today I am better, I am glad I am not working so I can take it easy...They retreived 5 eggs ( I know two were from the very small follicules 12mm) so I hope to find out more today about the fert. report. I have great PMA now that all the scary needles and precedures are done. I dont knwo who said IVF was pretty easy, they are sooo right. If I knew I would have started IVF sooner instead of being frustrated for 3 years...But anyways.. so remember when I said I was going to try only once.. no way.... I changed my mind, but I hope this first one will work out....Lets hope that the 5 eggs I have, at least one of them is great...if not, well this is life...
I let you know as soon as I know more about the fert. report....
Love and luck to everyone I forgot...I am full of PMA so if you need goo energy, and positive thoughts I am sending you some your way...

Hope -- Thanks for the PMA! I do miss diving as well, it's been since July for me. But a BFP will all be worth it. I'd gladly give up diving for a while for that gift.

Sarita -- Are you PUPO yet? Fingers crossed for you. :D

Lauren -- This is my second IVF as well. First time I expected 6 eggs and got 6 eggs. I think some could be "hiding" when there are a lot to hide behind. This time I'm hoping for 4-6. We shall see. I do hope you are right, I'd be ecstatic with more!

Katie -- I'm soooo glad for the extra day to stim as well. Might get one or two more eggs because of it. Yes, I'm uncomfortable. Belly is achy and bloated-like, but I know it won't be long now. Boy those are some big dogs you have!!! I love both of those breeds. I hope they don't sleep with you...lol. There'd be no room! Our dog sleeps in bed with us every night, otherwise she barks. Hard to be romantic with her there... hehe. Good luck on your ultrasound tomorrow! I'll be thinking of you.

Latrell -- Welcome back! Hope AF comes soon so you're back in the game.

AFM-- SnS this morning. Waiting on results of bloodwork. Seems follies have grown and I have 4 between 16-20 mm, 1 at 14 mm, 1 at 13 mm, and 2 at 12 mm. I told the nurse I have enough drug for another day if he wants to push me that far. She doubts it, but we shall see! My lining is at 12 mm, so that's good. I'll update again later after that call comes.

Hi Ladies,

I went in this morning for my SnS and my lining is a solid 7 (I really wanted an 8 but I am OK with a 7). The RE who did the u/s said they might keep me on Estrogen a few more days to "try" and get me to an 8 but I want to talk with my RE when I get the call later because I am sooo scared that it will decrease like last time or not ever get to that 8 they want!!! Even with my fresh IVF my lining barely got over 7.5 so I am thinking that this may just be the thickest I get?!?!

I am so confused but hopefully my RE will have a plan of action because I DON'T want to get cancelled again and I want to give myself the best possible situation for implantation!!!!

ARRGGHHH....I wish this process was more clear cut!!!

I will update after I speak with her which should be around 2:00-2:30

xoxo

Hi ladies,

Lou sounds like your follies are catching up, i hope all goes well for you xxx

Claud sending you more "no cancellation dust"

Katie having an early scan will put your mind at rest, last time i was so freaked out there was nothing growing inside me j insisted on an early scan and it really helped, we got the heartbeat a wk later but having peace of mind was worth everything. Your dogs sound huge!!! mine loves getting washed and all you have to say is "shower" and they toddle on down and hop in, my little baby is getting his stitches out as we speak j text me he is shaking like a leaf in the car as he knows where he is going.

Positivethinking glad ec went well you must have been scared stiff, i will say a little prayer for your 5 eggs and fingers crossed you get a great fert rate, its nerve racking times isnt it??

Sarah sorry you had a crap weekend, try relax as your embie needs you too be as stressfree as possible.

Hope love the little picture of your blast, those sticks are such taunters arent they!!!

Laterall hopefully AF wont be too long, let me know if you need an AF dance started!

Lauren 15 eggs is wonderfull news you must be delighted, they must have thought you were a big druggie in the cinema  i triggered with pregnyl its a powder and liquid thankfully it wasnt sore doing it but my tummy was very sore yesterday and i kept worrying did i do it right.

AFM had ec today and got 11 eggs, i am delighted thats my 2nd best (1st cycle 12 but qualitiy very bad), j didnt need TESE thankfully as i dont think he was mentally prepared for it!! I wont get fert report till late tomorrow evening havent a clue how i will get thro the next few days, i am so nervous and I only realised last night i cant even have a glass of wine as i am on 2 courses of antibiotics!! So starting the crinone and estrogen tonight, back on steroids, aspirin, clexane, metformin from tomorrow so gonna be a druggie for a while longer. You will never guess what i did after coming round from ec, i woke up on my own and was thirsty so took a drink from my bag when i saw the "congrats on your baby boy" card for my friend in my bag, now i was still completly out of it and dont really remember much but i wrote such a long message to my friend and it doesnt really make sense and my writing and spelling is brutal, i have no idea why i did it but remember thinking i had to do it there and then j wants to keep it as its so funny! I always do or say weird things after coming round.

gi xx

Hi ladies - So many of you have had big event in the last 48 hours...

Gi – 11 eggs is fantastic! Good for you. I’ll be waiting for a great fert report – being done with ER is such a weight off isn’t it?

Lou – I think you sound ready! For some reason I think my clinic take anything over 10mm, but the question is, will those be mature? Your lining sounds awesome! I don’t think I was ever over 11 by that point.

Claud – 7 mm is progress! You are so, so close. Even though you might not want to wait, you want to give yourself the best, best chance possible with the transfer. That’ll make a big difference in how you feel during the 2ww, and with the money involved, etc…Try not to be too worried if they keep you waiting for another day or so – you’re on the right track and that is fantastic! PMA PMA.

Positive Thinking
– 5 little eggies is great! I am sure you will have at least one really great little embryo from that ER. And all you need is one! Isn’t Netflix wonderful? I can’t believe I ever lived without out. Certainly makes IVF easier…Come on, great fert report!!

Sarita
–Good luck at your transfer tomorrow! I hope it goes really well and they find a great little spot to reunite you with your little precious embie. It only takes one! I got a BFP on a single transfer so I know it’s true! So sorry to hear about your husband’s friend. That is such an awful story - and to think the cops were just waiting…eek.

Katie – Good luck on u/s – it is early! My clinic does an early one to test for ectopic I think – so maybe that is all they will look for. Hopefully you’ll see a great little sac growing and maybe, just maybe something going on inside! On pins and needles.

Lauren
– Good luck with the recovery! Thank god for heating pads. I hope your transfer goes really well!

ASM - Went in for 2nd beta today. As I've said, I'm not going to know the result for the 2nd beta...I don't want to know. We went through an awful beta testing period the first time and I m/c after 8.5 weeks. The bottom line is, as long as your levels are going up - dr's can't tell a thing until the u/s. So I'm just going to patiently (hopefully, optomistically, happily) wait for my DH to tell me when they want me for u/s. I think for me, this is a much much better way to go about things. Hugs to all! I'm anticipating a SLEW of BFP's in about 2 weeks time!!

hey girls. just wanted to check and and say hi....I am at work...as usual so no time for personals. Good news for us is that DH is slowly coming around and warming up to researching adoption so we will see. I think you gals were right and he was just sad about the chemical and could not think ahead. I have another beta on thursdays b/c my levels are still not down. I am kinda getting irritated about it b/c my bb's are still sore and I am so tired....this feeling pregnant when I know I am not is just cruel. However, on a good note, we have our post cycle consult with my re wednesday. I have a laundry list of questions. Next week we have appointments with 2 other RE's to decide what we will do next....one option being nothing. We will see....Hope you are all well.
