afm, You won't believe that the RE office financial lady called yesterday and wanted payment for this cycle. I said ummmm, RE said he was going to write it off (and she knew it, she was there the day I had f/u appt and RE specifically said office knows, and fianancial lady even made a joke that my bill was $100,000 and I would get 12 babies for that price). I was shocked to say the least. When I told her RE was going to write it off, she said "the whole thing?" I said yes the whole thing. So I hope this doesn't come back to bite me in the behind later. I know RE will keep his end, but hopefully the financial lady will not be after me again!. I am getting nervous about my embies and thaw.....I will get the call today to tell me what time my transfer is on Thursday. I am trying to PMA and visualize my phone call from RE for a BFP already!. I also have a box of HPT's giving me the stare everytime I open the bathroom cabinet. I gotta say, I stare back and I haven't even HAD my transfer yet! Everyone keep their fingers crossed that all five of my embies make thaw and come home to mama!

Hope -- 5 frozen blasts is great news! I hope you get your BFP & don't need them though. But it's nice to have the back-up.

Claudia -- I am too hoping that I get 7+ at ER tomorrow, but I think that is pushing it. Do you think there's any chance that 13's and 14's on Monday will be ready for a Wednesday retrieval? My last dose of stim meds was Sunday. If so, then I have a chance. We shall see! I had a black lab growing up... labs are great dogs. His name was Rex and he was just so incredibly sweet. He died a week before my wedding and I cried and cried because I wanted him in some of the photos since he was family. He was 16 years old.

DandMe -- I understand your worry until you get that ultrasound but I feel in my heart that everything will be OK. Thinking of you!

Katie -- U/S today! Can't wait for the report tonight!

Positive -- ET tomorrow! How many do you plan to transfer? I plan to do two if I have them. And I agree, definitely tell RE about your symptoms. I don't think anything is necessarily wrong but it can't hurt to bring it up. Good luck tomorrow!

AFM -- ER tomorrow! I set my alarm and triggered at 12:30AM. My fingers are tightly crossed that the 13 & 14 mm follicles have a chance of having a mature egg. If so, then I might get up to 7 eggs. I've already told myself to be happy with 4 or 5 though. 3 or less will really worry me.... isn't it funny how this works? All the ups and downs. It's one worry after another... and probably will continue for the next 20 years...lol.

Oh, and Ronda -- Thanks! I hope so too. That's awesome of your RE to write off the FET, but crappy of the financial girl to ask you for $ anyway when she knew the plan. How's your lining? How many are you going to transfer? Will be thinking of you on Thursday! Good luck!!

I was first on this board with a FET and now it look like I'll be closing out this board with a fresh cycle. ET will be 2/27 or 3/1. Does that still put me with the Feb crowd since most of my 2ww is in March? I'm resistant to moving to that board because I wanna close this out with a bang... er... a BFP!

Oh, and here's something interesting... I knew my RE was young, he's only been in practice as an RE for a little over a year. His partner is the pioneer of the program. So I looked him up yesterday and found out he's 34 years old! So even I've got a few years on him. I'm a geriatric patient to him! I do like him a lot and so far he's done a very good job with me. So I don't think that matters in the end.

Claudia Sorry, I was sidetracked before about your clinic. Lincoln sounds adorable! labs are so sweet and always good natured. Theres one across the road from us - he and my dogs bark to each other from across the road - but I'm always afraid one of them will take off crossing the road - where no one drives at the 35mph they are suppossed to Bet he is the first baby of your house too!

OK 24hrs to go - I can do this, I can do this...... darn stupid snow!

Dandme dont feel guily over you feelings its so natural esp. since you have already been thro. 2 losses and know exactly how bad things can get, i have to admit i would prob. feel the same as i got so attached to my little baby and to lose it at 10 wks was heart breaking. Your feelings will change shortly when you see the baby, see the bump grow and feel it moving inside you. Your betas sound great though i alsow know what its like to compare to others, i cycled in July/Aug. with Dogzrule and she too started off with low bets and is now 33 wks pg.

AFM the embroylogist rang j this am, now according to him (he is usually useless at the details) they retrieved 11 follicles/sacs yesterday not eggs, out of the 11 2 were empty, 2 eggs were too immature. So as of today 6 fertilized out of the 7 but one is very abnormal and for the moment we have 5 good embies, i am so scared of not making it too transfer as the time of the 4th cycle where i didnt make it still haunts me!!! So for now no news is good news the clinic will only call if we dont have a transfer, so i am banning all calls!!!! My heart will be in mouth everytime the phone rings between now and thurs..transfer is scheduled for 2:30....keep my little embies in your prayers.

Katie-ARRGGHHH-that's frustrating!!! My clinic also does a u/s on day 25 which would be 5weeks and something days so I think you might be able to see the dot(s) on the ultrasound that will show your baby bean!!! good luck tomorrow and this is good patience practice

Sonya-I know how anxious and nerve racking this could all be and until we all get past the first tri-mester there will be nerves about everything. Try your best to relax (easier said than done) and your numbers look fantastic. I'm hoping they bump up your u/s for peace of mind:)

haha-I'm crazy and always look at what my EDD would be if I got a BFP and it's telling me November 20th which is the week before thanksgiving (my fav holiday!!)

Lauren – Thanks for the reality check. You are so right – We are in the best kind of waiting game there is – the waiting after a BFP. I shouldn’t take that for granted! Great fert report – 13 is amazing!!! You’ve got some great spermies and eggs there.

Sarita – Congrats on the ET! I hope you and emby are resting up and getting to know one another 

Hope – It’s so great that you had 5 embies to freeze! Hopefully you will never need to use them, but it’s great news to know that an easy FET is your next step if you should need it. Sending you lots of baby dust!!

Claud – Good for you! You are the only advocate you have, so you have to be strong and firm and make sure you are getting your needs met. I’m glad you are having acupuncture and making some time for you. I’m a big believer pins and needles myself! 8888888!!!

DandMe – I’m sure it will just take time to *believe* that the bad parts might be behind you and that everything is progression as it should. Personally, I think you have ABOVE average good numbers because you’ve consistently doubled. Remember, normal is GOOD. If you were beyond the bounds of average either in doubling or not doubling, then you should worry – but you’re golden so far. Good luck on the u/s – I can’t wait to hear about how you saw the little heartbeat!

PositiveThinking – Best of luck on the transfer! That is such great news. I hope you having a peaceful transfer and a relaxing recovery to meet baby emby!

Ronda – Best of luck with the transfer! Just say no (at least until it’s 12-14 dpt) to those evil pee sticks! Give em the evil eye.

Gi – So 9 eggs retrieved?? That is still a fantastic number – and remember the higher the number collected, the higher the correlation with BFP. 5 good embies is a lot – Remember, you are only looking for one or two really good ones, and with 5 ‘cooking’ I’m sure you’ll get there! PMA, Baby Dust!!

ASM - I cannot tell a lie. I freaked out when DH told me I had to go back in for a 3rd beta bloodtest. I had thought that we would be straight on the ultrasound if all was well with the 2nd beta number. So when I heard I needed another beta, I was having flashbacks to the bad time we had with our first pregnancy (loss). So I made him tell me - first I was like, over 400? Over 500? Over 550? Anyway, he finally just told me it was a 562. 562. Which is a 67% rise - not super high, but definitely meets the criteria for a 60% rise. The nurse was really happy with the result, DH said. I go in for 3rd beta tomorrow. If all is well, they'll schedule me for an u/s for some point after that. EEeek. Still freaking out but trying not to.

Whew! that was the right choice (rescheduling this morning) we had about 5-6 inches of snow and its still coming down - I could have been crawling on the highway all day in this. Are we done yet? The backyard looks like the swiss Alps from the past few weeks That nasty white stuff had better not try to fall tomorrow too

Good afternoon, all! I hope everyone is hanging in there with everything that is going on. We didn't get the snow they said we would (we were supposed to get up to a foot and only got a few inches) but it sounds like you got it instead, Katie. That's awful that you have to wait more. But, you're right. Waiting one more day is probably better than dealing with the snow and crazy drivers.

My day of bedrest yesterday was pretty uneventful except for a fever. I was pretty warm a few hours after getting home from ET, and I thought it was just the progesterone, so I ignored it. Well, I was starting to sweat around 7pm just laying there watching TV, so I checked my temp and called the Dr. I then had to check my temp every 4 hours last night and am still checking it today. It came down, but is starting to go back up again, weird. Oh, and for those that are curious, I forgot to mention yesterday that my beta is 3/5.

Since everyone is telling stories about their dogs, I wanted to throw my story in. I don't have a dog, but I have a nephew dog named "Tank." He is a 120 pound German Rottweiler who thinks he's a lap dog and loves to cuddle and get hugs. He is so cute! I got to see him this past weekend when I visited my friend, and he was so excited to see me...my heart feels all warm just thinking about him. He actually made a very sweet gesture on Sunday after I talked to the embryologist about our embies. He looked at me when I got off the phone and then layed his head on my lap. He just layed there for about 10 minutes and I kept petting him until I was ready to get up off the couch. I have many more stories about my "Tinky-pooh" and photos to go with.

Sarah. I love the dog story! My dog is my baby and I tell him that all the time. I told DH that if we have a baby we can't refer him or her as the baby because my little dog baby may get jealous! He sleeps in our bed every night and comes just about everywhere we go.
