Miyaya – So sorry to hear about the difficulties you and DH are facing. I think it might make sense to take some time off and try some basics again, esp. since Clomid worked before. Sending you big (((hugs))) and lots of love and support.

J&G – Oh my I am so sorry to hear about all the pain and trauma you’ve been going through! I’m sure you want to be able to move on after a failed cycle and not being able to…I really hope you don’t have to have the surgery, sweetheart! HUGS.

Tracy – So glad you are having fun with family taking a break from the craziness!

DandMe – Hang in there – Remember some ladies go for months and months and don’t even realize they are pregnant! Hope you have that u/s soon.

Moorebaby – Read your post a few times. I can’t believe all the mess ups. Can you maybe even change clinics? It seems like they were just not communicating with eachother. I hope you can get some answers!

Hope – I started feeling some nausea about 4 days before my beta test – so that would have been 10dp3dt. I think you are preggers!!

Lauren – YAY for 2ww. Rest up and relax and visualize that little embie digging in!

Katie – Congrats on the great u/s! You must be so excited so see that everything is progressing as it should 

Gi – Come on blasts! You have such a great shot with this cycle. You’ll be PUPO so soon!

Ronda – Yay for the four embies! I think you are smart to go for it – this will give you a great, great chance.

Lou – 7 eggs whooooo hooooo! I’m so happy you got such great news. You’ll definitely have at least one or two perfect little embies to transfer with such a great number.

Lauren – Hurray for two perfect little 8 cells in you now! They’re back in Mommy – Sending tons of sticky dust!

PositiveThinking – Yay for your transfer of two little perfect embies! Hope you are feeling 100% percent now and that you’re enjoying bed rest and being PUPO!

AFM – So much for not knowing our beta numbers  DH got the call yesterday that my 3rd beta number was 1127!!! I am SO HAPPY. Ultrasound is scheduled for 3/3 – I’m nervous for it because last time all my u/s were awful and traumatic – all I ever heard was ‘the sac size is small’ and ‘we were hoping for more progress at this point’…so I am a bit scared. I’ll be 6 weeks and 5 days on the ultrasound day – Please God we’ll see a good size and a fetal pole!

Hi everyone -

Sorry that I didnt repost last night, I grabbed some dinner and ended up knocked out on the couch. I dont really have any pg symptoms except by the afternoon, I feel wiped out! I mean I'm thinking of going to bed by 8:00 some nights, and I'm ususally a night owl. My DH is working double shifts until Sat, so now that we're having another storm (UGH they're saying 1-2 FEET of snow!) I keep running outside to shovel the steps, but the RE told me yesterday - NO lifting, straining or snow shoveling! I have to be able to get the dogs out, so this is looking like a really fun day! I told the RE that I was getting crampy towards late afternoon and he told me thats a warning sign from your body that you need to take it easy. Jeez - I'm glad I didnt tell him that I had to shovel out the driveway yesterday to get to his appt! So he also told me I'll stay on the PIO inj until 12 weeks - OH JOY!! :? he took me off of the progesterone in ethyl oleate and said it contains alcohol, so has switched me to PIO in sesame oil, he told me that its more unpleasant! Boy he wasnt kidding! I couldnt even draw the med up in a 25 gauge - I had to draw & inject with a 22 gauge. That stuff is thick!! The real problem is trying to find a spot on my hips that isnt covered in lumps though, now matter how long I massage or sit on the heating pad I'm still stuck with these lumps of unhappy muscle. How long did you all stay on meds afterwards? I have 1 crinone AM, PIO PM, and estrogen x2 day, plus baby aspirin, prenatal vit. Does staying on til 12 weeks seem excessive?
I cant wait until next Tues to (crossing fingers) see the HB! I still almost burst into tears every time I see my RE, so if all goes right next week he'll release me
guaranteed tears when that happens! Fingers crossed that we dont lose power today, I read that 110,000 houses lost power already - EEK!

J&C oh, honey, my heart hurts for you. That is so difficult. I'll keep you in my prayers that the shot works and your numbers go down - big hug to you

Miyaya Its crazy how much adoption runs, isnt it? and with all of children that need a good home & loving family, its just awful! I know you and DH will find the route thats best for you both - big hug!

Es Yeah, I'll say things dont exactly add up! Not to mention that your RE & urologist seriously need to communicate better! Definitely have a sit down with RE! Good luck - I have you in my prayers also!

Hope 6pt5dt and feeling little nauseous??? Hmmmmm... I think its "Icky"!!! Just a few more days til you put your crown on - POAS Queen!

Tracy Sometimes a step back from all of this madness is the best idea - you get to regroup, refresh and come back loaded with PMA. I know you wont give up on your dream - DD needs a sibling! :D

Katie -- So glad you saw a "sac and a dot" on your u/s and that your little bean is growing normally. Can't wait until you get to hear that heartbeat!

Moore -- Wow... something definitely sounds fishy regarding the conflicting information you've received. I would definitely schedule an appt to clear it all up!

AFM -- Got my fert report. It's not great but I guess it could be worse. Of my 7 eggs, 4 were mature and of those, 3 fertilized. That means I'm definitely having a day three transfer on Saturday 2/27. I so hope all three make it until then. I'm scared to death. I was really hoping I would end up with a few more this cycle.

Katie - I stayed on PIO until week 13. At some point they said I could do Endometrin instead, but after two days of that, I thought it was so icky I went back to the PIO. The shots really didn't bother me too much after a while. (DH said my attitude may have changed after a confirmed reason for doing them, lol.)

Lou - I felt the same way about wanting a 5 day transfer, but I had to go with a 3 day and it was my lucky cycle. The embryos will be much happier being in their natural environment than sitting in a dish for two more days! (The worst part to me was that it was like adding two more days to the 2ww, lol.) Best of luck!!!

Hey my ladies,

So for those who asked Sorry cant clean your house cause i am PUPO   I cant believe i finally made it here, was a bloody nervous wreck this morning doing my "no phone call dance", thankfully my mam called in early as she is redocorating my bedroom (its gorgous plum and cream) so she distracted me till we left. I am still in shock all 5 of our embies made it!!! The RE said all were of the highest quality possible so 2 embies on board and 3 frozen :D. I was given a valium 1 hr pre transfer (never had one before) and whoo hoo what good stuff i was giggling in the waiting room after 15 min, gotta get me some more of that lol. Thanks a mil girls for all your encouragement and support i swear it was a tough 3 days but thank God i am here in the madness of the 2ww!! No betas are done in Ireland and i am supposed to test on the 11th March....Yeah right i have a test already staring at me, will try hold out till 9dp3dt as its a sat and i am not working but whether i will last or not!!! Gosh isnt having a full bladder for transfer awful, i was supposed to drink 2litres of water but i have such a weak bladder (and nerves dont help) so i drank only 700ml and thought i was going to die!!!

Lou i will say a prayer for your 3 little embies i know how stressful waiting for transfer is thats why i wouldnt be able to handle a 5 day i swear you would find me in the nut house

Merri what a great 3rd beta i am glad you got the result as it will put your mind at rest....for a while!!

Hope hmmm sounds suspiciously like a BFP  go do it do a POAS!!!!!

Katie step away from the shovel!!!! Rest, rest, rest you are Pregnant and in 8 mths going be very busy

Moorebaby just wondering did you try the injectables, clomed etc after your baby or did you go straight to ivf?? If you have time it could be worth another shot plus give your body a break.

miyaya icsi sounds like a great option, there is no point in wasting mature eggs the more the merrier!

Dandme sounds like the begining of a wonderful relationship...morning sickness!! I think on my last bfp it started shortly after 6 wks.

Hey dawn PUPO means Pregnant till proven Otherwise

chat later, gonna let this embies snuggle in tight

gixxx

Hello all! I have been behind on reading and it is good to see all the positive messages! Things have been going slow for me but since my embryo transfer last saturday, I am trying to take it easy and stay busy so I do not stressa about the results. I go back to the doctor on Sunday 2/28. My IVF nurse said not to take a home test becuase the results may not be accurate but the waiting and wondering is getting to me. Has anyone else had been told that? I am assuming it is becuase of all the drugs. I guess I am just not very patient!!
But happy baby thoughts and looking forward to a positive Dr visit in a few days :)

Hi girls! So glad to hear everyone is doing so well. Sorry I've been MIA...between work, 3 dogs, making supper, trying to do some laundry and dishes in between I am exhausted by 8 pm!!!!

Forgive me for only doing an update and no personals; I really need to catch up. Yesterday at 12:30 pm I went to the restroom because I've been having lots of clear discharge (TMI, sorry) yet I saw LOTS OF BRIGHT RED BLOOD!!!! Of course I panic and call my RE who is in surgery for the next 3 hours. Well, I'm bawling my eyes out and I'm not about to wait 3 hours. So, I head to my OB/GYN (the one I worked for for years) and the baby looked fine (arm buds are starting to form...they are cute!). He thinks it may have been a subchorionic hemorrhage. I went home, went to bed & at 6 pm when I got up I had only had a very small amount of dark blood since I laid down at about 2 pm. A few drops in the commode and only very light dark brown spotting last night. Today has been clear and I'm feeling a bit more optimistic. I can't tell you how I felt when I went to the restroom and there was so much blood, but I never had any real cramping. By the time I got home I had to rinse off and clean up. It was down the inside of both my pant legs, etc. I go to my RE for another u/s tommorrow and we've been praying the baby still looks good!

Hope to catch up soon. Much love!

Hi girls, read all posts, but will post personals later. I am offically PUPO (pregnant until proven otherwise) for whoever asked!. All 4 of my embies came home to momma. RE was said 3 embies were great quality, last one was average, he said my lining looked beautiful!! Come on embies snuggle in! :D Having some mild cramping and very very tired. Going to go back to couch, just got up from nap, from bed to the couch (had to make detour to computer however.)

I have alot of emotion right now: Relief knowing my IVF journey is done, regardless of the outcome (wierdly enough also kinda sad about it too); happy that all my frosties have been given a chance to grow; and nervous and hopeful for a BFP.

Love you all! thanks for all the encouragement

Moorebaby-

I think I might be a little confused. So, they had your DH do an ejaculate right before and they also had him do a TESE? Did he have sperm in his ejaculate? If he did, why did they have him do surgery?

tiger- urologist had him do a fresh ejaculate specimen right before the tesa just in case he wouldn't be able to find any sperm from the tesa...kind of like a back-up.
