Sonya -- So glad you got your u/s for peice of mind but sorry the nurse wasn't nice to you though. They really should be more understanding to women in this situation. Don't they understand what we've been through?

Hope -- Yay for two lines on POAS! That's great news! Thanks for sharing your story about 4 when you had DS. I'm so worried that my 3 embies won't make it to transfer or not be of good quality. It's just such a low number. But I do have hope. I think embryo donation is very admirable of you to consider.

Claudia -- Well if RE feels confident going forward with a solid 7, then I wouldn't worry too much. I'm waiting for my call to schedule my transfer as well. It's agonizing, isn't it?

Positivethinking -- If at least two make it, then I will transfer the two best tomorrow unless the quality isn't top notch and RE recommends three. How many did you transfer? Hopefully I'll be goin' nuts in the 2ww with you soon. How are you doing?

How are all you new mama's feelin' out there? Any symptoms from the new BFP girls?

AFM -- I was told yesterday that I would be having a 3dt tomorrow and that they would call me today to schedule. Well, still waiting for that call. I'm terribly worried about my three little embies. I soooo hope they all make it tomorrow so we can pick the best two to transfer. I'm doing acupuncture this evening and again tomorrow after transfer (if I can find out when that is!). The other bad news... DH called me at work yesterday sounding really upset and said he had bad news. Turns out he lost his wedding ring. It had almost a full carat of channel set diamonds into a gold band which was inscripted with a message and our wedding date. He felt awful. We looked EVERYWHERE and called every place he'd been. No luck. All in all, it's just property. It's not family or our beloved dog that was sick or hurt. So I jokingly said to him after searching for hours "well, you aren't getting another one you know" and he hung his head and said in a choked up voice "that's understandable". Poor guy. I gave him a big hug and said we'd get him a new ring once we know our IVF journey is finished. But right now, we need the $ set aside because we are 100% cash pay.

Damnit! Clinic call already!

Lou best of luck tomorrow i really hope and pray all your embabies make it, i know how tough these few days are (i was an emotional wreak). Sorry to hear about your dhs ring, i do hope it turns up but when you get your bfp you wont be able to afford a new one cause you will have to save for baby stufff....betcha you would trade that anyday Will ck in tomorrow to see how you get on dont keep us in suspense i cant handle waiting for news

I know I've been MIA most of this week; it's been a rough week, and I'm so ready for a nap! I just wanted to come on and explain my absence, first.

So, I started out with a fever Monday after ET. That has lasted the WHOLE week! Tues night, my skin started aching (it's really hard to describe,) and I started having sharp bilateral lower-abdominal pains. I called the Dr. on-call and they said to take Tylenol for the fever, check my temp every 4 hours, and only call back if the symptoms got worse. They weren't concerned. Well, I called every day this week 'cause I felt something was wrong, and I kept having temperatures, I was so tired, and then I started being short of breath yesterday. So, they finally squeezed me in to see the Dr. this morning at 9:30am. I have endroitis (sp?) which is an infection of the uterine lining. Yay. I'm on antibiotics for 10 days, and I'm supposed to keep taking Tylenol for my fevers. Oh, and apparently the bloodwork showed that my body isn't dispersing water correctly, so I'm on Gatorade only for a few days. They said that all this shouldn't harm the fetus. Can anything else go wrong?

So, I'm going to lay down and take a nap. I'm so wiped out! I hope next week goes better! Have a great weekend, ladies! Congrats to those that are PUPO like me! I haven't POAS yet, but I plan to next Wed.

AAAARRRGGGGHHHHH...got a message from the nurse (went straight through to my voicemail while I was holding the damn phone) to stay on all estrogen and come back Wednesday for sns...WTF?!?!?

I called right back and of course the office is closed b/c of the snow so I have a message for the nurse on call who probably can't answer any of my questions and can't change anything cause my RE isn't there!!! I just emailed the RE who I HOPE checks her email over the weekend asking why I can't move forward yet and that I will give it to Monday and if nothing increases I want to move forward with FET!

Is that being too demanding? I will have been on estrogen almost 3 weeks and my lining has not gotten over a 7...this is getting ridiculous!

Sooo mad and I want answers!!!

Sarita -- OMG!!! What a horrible ordeal you've been through. Please feel better soon. I'm glad none of this will harm the fetus we're crossing our fingers for. Update us ASAP if you POAS on Wed!

Claudia -- WHAT! !?!?!????? Another SnS on Wed?!?!?!?!? You definitely aren't being too demanding. I really hope you get some answers tomorrow. If not, then I would be on the phone first thing... like 7AM Monday morning.

AFM -- My clinic closes at 4PM and of course I get the call at 3:45PM that my transfer is on for 10AM tomorrow morning. I asked if they looked at my embies today and turns out they don't disturb them on day two. Damn... I was hoping they would say "all three looked good today". So I have to imagine that's the case. My RE shared with me that when he and his wife did IVF, they got 19 eggs but only 3 fertilized... they did a 3 day transfer of the two that were still there on day 3 and now they have twin babies (boy/girl). I think he was trying to make me feel better and let me know that he's treating me the same as he'd treat his own wife. I'm still scared though. I'll update tomorrow after I'm home and resting. Wish me luck ladies!

I heard back from my RE who said that while 7 IS good to proceed, she wanted to remain cautious because of my cancellation and give me another week (!!!) and do my FET on Wednesday, March 10th. She said that if I wanted to do this Wednesday that would be fine also but her recommendation would be to wait because there is NO harm on staying on estrogen an extra week...only the benefit of it possibly making the lining better/thicker.

So I'm conflicted but leaning towards the 10th just to not have regrets on asking "what if I waited?" but I will be demanding SnS's every 2-3 days to keep progress!!! What would you all do?

I guess that makes me officially on the March/April boards since my FET and 2ww will be in March but if you ladies don't mind, I would love to stay and close out this thread since I have come to know and love you all

I say you stay on this board and wait until 3/10 for FET. You don't want any "what if questions later" and if it doesn't hurt to stay on estrogen, then do it.

GL for your transfer. I wil be checking in to see that ALL 3 of your embies made it! Sorry about your DH wedding ring. That sucks, but you are right, its only property (but it still really really sucks).

hang in there. We are PUPO sisters together and will make the 2ww and NOT lose our minds. No symptoms, lots of symptoms, doesn't really seem to reflect on outcome, so don't sweat the no symptoms issue.

afm, My dh was off this time and went to pick up chinese for me (I thought it worked for some of you BFP girls, and I love it, so it was worth a try). He comes home and says boy chinese is expensive. I say, it was supposed to be cashew chicken combo and $6.25. Well it was $26 and was someone elses order of orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, pot stickers, and shrimp egg rolls (poor dh doesn't like chinese, so he had no idea and I didn't tell him how much my order was supposed to be). good thing I like all that stuff and I will be eating it for quite awhile. I also bought a pineapple, thought it couldn't hurt too (I know no evidence that it works, but I like pineapple anyway). Just taking it easy and plan to the rest of the weekend. Gotta to to my nephew's B-day party tomorrow and have to do a little shopping. Otherwise, its the couch for me, as much as can with 2 DD's wanting this and that.

Claudia - I say stay on this board too! You started in February so don't bother switching now. A lot of us have beta tests in March.

Lou, my first ivf I only had two eggs fertilize, one of them was multinucleated. They were both put back and I got a BFP then. I think your 3 can get the job done!

Update: well I am now 4dpt and I am doing a lot better emotionally. I had to 2ww with IUI before but it was not emotional at all. Now, because I know for sure I have 2 embies inside, I really feel responsible and stressed. Thank you for your support, and make me realize I am not the only one reacting like that. Anyways, I snapped out of it right away and now I am waiting patiently (almost) for 3/11. Ihope everyone is doing great. and ready to enjoy the week end...

Hi everyone -

OMG! I've never seen a strom like this before! They say we got 32" of snow but with the drifts -its up to my thigh and I'm 5'10"
We lost power for a day and a half and I couldnt even get the door open! How wonderful that my DH was stuck in NYC for this whole thing
I did the smallest amount of shoveling I could, pretty much just enough to get out the door and the poor dogs were like swimming in it!
When snow is up to a Great Dane's neck - well thats pretty bad news. My DH is trying to get ahold of a neighbor with a front loader because all the plow companys are saying that their plow attachments have been breaking because the snow is too heavy - UGH!! I am SOOOO over winter! Now on top of that I called the Vet to get more pain meds for my elderly Dane (Cassie) and they want to do b/w first - WTF?? Its the worst storm ever and they want her to come in
on Sun night??? I was told on Wed to NOT lift anything! i'm pretty sure tha 150lb dog counts as HEAVY!! Thank God my DH made it back in the middle of last night, but he's having to park down the road since there is no where to even put this amount of snow - even if we can the guy with the front loader - I'm so mad at this Vet right now! They wont give my DH her pain meds without new b/w - during normal times I understand - but the whole county is under a State of Emergency until tomorrow! GRRRR!!!! Thanks mr VET, thanks a lot! So now my DH will have to try to get a neighbor to go with him to lift my poor old girl - God this is pissing me off - this dog is 10years old ( Danes usually live until 7 years old) so you can imagine how trips in the car are for her - GRRR!
Its just not right - but she HAS to have those pain meds - I think we'll be switching Vets after putting her through this. Like really b/w couldnt wait a few days??
Other than that rant (sorry, but I'm mad!) everything else is fine with me, still no symptoms though. maybe now that I'm 6 weeks some will start?

Hi Ladies,

I finally have some time for personals without being obsessed over my FET drama!! I feel good about the decision to wait and my RE emailed me back at 10:30PM last night(that is why I love her) and said that although she isn't doing morning rotations this week she will see my first thing on Thursday just to make sure everything is looking good and have a small consultation before next Sunday to ease my worries. That makes me so happy because the morning monitoring they are in such a rush that if you get more than 2-3 minutes you are lucky!! So now I have her undivided attention and I figure one more week won't kill me (although I AM the most impatient person you have ever met!!)

Katie-that sucks about having to get to the vet for pain meds Vet's are sometimes not accommodating so if you switch make sure they are compassionate and caring!! I can't wait to your next SnS!!

Positive-glad that your negative thoughts are going away. I also get discouraged at times but with my last chemical I thought I was doomed and ended with a positive beta so this time I am not going to get down and stay PMA the whole time like Karen!!

Karen-I heard you saw two dots on your u/s!!! that's amazing and can't wait till tomorrow when you have your next SnS!

Sonya-how are you feeling? That stinks about your crappy nurse and I hope your next u/s you will see the heartbeat!!

AFM...trying to stay positive and just have positive thoughts through this whole thing! I will schedule some more acupuncture and try to do some yoga/pilates this week to calm the body and mind!!!

Katie -I was worried about your snowfall up there. Here in Chicago we only got 4 inches. I'm sorry about your vet holding out for b/w for your dogs pain meds. Can't anything be easy? How are you feeling?

AFM - laying here waiting for disharge agter ET. I had two grade 3's & 1 grade 2, all 8 cell today. (Grade 4 is best). I transferred all 3! RE said the grade 2 probably wouldn't make it to freeze & I didn't want to waste it. He gave me a 35% chance. We did ICSI, AH, and used embie glue... how much more help could I get there? Going to an acupuncture appt as soon as I can leave here & then going home to eat Chinese! My beta is 3/10.
