Oh lou you must be relieved and 3 on board sure thats great, on my last fresh cycle (april 09) we transfered 2 and was told only small possibility that 1 would freeze, the next day got a call and had 2 good quality they both turned around within a few hrs and were apparenlty much better qualitiy than the 2 transfered!! p.s got pg from both. New PUPO buddie whoo hoo!!!!

Ronda what an expensive chinese but sooo nice i was going to get some after ET but had a craving for Sheppards pie!! I am also on the pineapple did it last 2 bfps sure it cant hurt!!

Sarah sorry you are not well but it wont harm the embies, i am also on Antibiotiocs (augmentin duo) they made me go on it day before EC just to prevent something like that happening.


Lauren pineapple is a myth but worth a try, you eat 1 slice including the core once a day for 5 days, hows the 2ww going?

AFM on day 2 and entertained myself by making homemade cards! I feel "tummish" though i think it may be constipation all these meds are prob. driving my system mad. I cant help wondering do i have blasts inside me now or have they died?? but i am not too stressed yet still very early days, have slight cramping which i am assuming is my ovaries trying to shrink back to normal. J thinks i am testing sunday wk...yeah right dont think i will last!!!

Lou; yay for being PUPO!! How exciting! I can't wait to see your bfp. Putting three in is exciting. I wish we had put three in, but for afterwards, I was glad we had four to freeze - in my mind, I had two more tries, even though I know they don't always survive the thaw.

I'm glad all went smoothly for you. Enjoy your chinese food - I'm inspired and am making hawaiian meatballs on rice for dinner. lol

Gi; what kind of cards are you making? The meds are difficult to take, and they do have side effects. I think we all share that feeling of wondering what was going on. I liked knowing they were in a lab and getting daily reports.. when I got the ET I felt like I was on my own. Can't wait to see your bfp! Will you test early?

Katie; I am shocked at the amount of snow you guys have. I'm in central british columbia Canada and we rarely get that much snow, so it's hard to imagine our southern neighbors dealing with that. I hope your dog is feeling better. When will you do another beta / ultrasound??

Hooray we were dug out this afternoon! That was an insane freak storm - my neighbors who have lived up here forever said we havent gotten that much snow from 1 storm in more than 15 years - ok as long as it never happens again! When it takes construction equipment to dig out - then thats WAY too much snow!
I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the night because I've started feeling crampy again and my RE made me a bit paranoid about that, he was saying that crampy at this point is a warning from your body. So I'm done with anything but couch detail til tomorrow

Sonya So we got more snow than Canada? jeez -it it spring yet? I go for the next u/s on Tues, my RE said that there should (please God) be a heart beat by then but that will only be 6w3d so I hope he's right. I've heard of some not hearing the HB until almost 7 weeks, so we'll see. Are you having any symptoms yet? I feel completely fine, its kind of freaking me out a bit. Almost like I'd feel better mentally, if I felt worse physically? craziness! Dont worry honey, March 9th is coming soon! I know the waiting is painful.

Katie - I was ordered strictly to not even vacuum, or lift ANYTHING over ten lbs until my 10th week - you need to settle in and just grow babies. I'm not allowed to have intercourse, either - nothing that might cause any kind of disturbance to the core. I have been crampy from time to time, usually b/c my bowels have been a little overactive -sorry TMI - but it's true. Lower back pain is okay and normal as long as it doesn't come in waves. Your body is telling you to take it easy - so lay around a little.

I am totally pulling for your ultrasound! That's just a few days away. I've totally given up on getting an early one, so I will just be happy that I saw the sac - it made it all a lot more real for me.

I know what you mean about the symptoms... I've had short waves of 'almost-nausea' but nothing serious. today I am simply exhausted and I am truly peeing a lot more. At least three times a night and every 2-3 hours during the day. My breasts' soreness comes and goes- I've felt nothing today - yesterday they were killing me.

I wish you ALL the luck on your ultrasound - I'm sure you'll be a nervous mess until the big day

congratulations Lou!! You're pupo!! I am so pleased that all three embies were doing well and you decided to transfer all. I think I would have done the same! YAY!! now, rest & relax!!

and claudia - i'm sorry you are getting frustrated with the push back dates... I wish your RE would have just called you and said, hey, let's talk about this, rather than saying, oh yes, come back next wed for S&S!! But I'm glad you decided to wait. I hope your lining continues to thicken. I think you will be glad you gave it this extra time. Increased thickening or not, at least you will always know you did everything you could have... and one more week in the grand scheme of your baby's life will not be a big deal in the long run!

and Congrats Kerribell on + HPT!!! YAY!! I'm glad I'm not the only POAS girl out there! here's to a wonderful beta on Monday!

Well we just got back from the Dr this morning where they took my blood and now I have to wait for a phone call to see if IVF worked...??? Although since it is Sunday we might not hear back until tomorrow. Not like I have been on edge all week, the day finally comes and I still might not know for another day. I am seriously thinking of going and getting a HPT but my DH is trying to discourage me from that- he wants me to follow the rules! I am still really scared of what the outcome might be.

Megan - when they draw blood on Sunday usually there is a nurse who calls with results that day too. At my place anyway. Good luck!!!

Lou - I am glad everything turned out great with your embryos. Now the 2ww! My first week went by fast...one more to go for me. Hope yours goes by fast!

Katie - Your vet sucks! Your poor dog....that makes me so mad that you could not get her meds when you needed them. You have 2 Great Danes? Wow!! My Chihuahua is probably the size of their head lol.

Sonya - no doing anything for ten weeks? I have been meaning to ask my RE when I can start going to the gym again. What about just walking on the treadmill?

My DH makes fun of all the abbrieviations on this board that I have told him about. Last night a friend of mine was saying that her period was late so she did a hpt and it was positive. My DH said, "Oh you POAS?" She had no idea what he meant. This friend had a baby with IVF one year ago. They told her that due to both tubes being bad, she would never conceive without IVF. She was not trying, and I guess they were wrong. She has had U/S and heard heartbeat too.

hope you got your dog squared away with meds. WTF was the vet thinking. I would consider changing after that incident. My beta is scheduled on 3/10 (same as lou!). I am amazed at the storms you guys have been getting, I wish we would get a storm big enough to shut things down here for a bit. I know, be careful what you wish for! I am feeling ok, just tired and still crampy (probably from cervix being invaded!). I know not to read anything into it any symptoms or lack of, but just going to try and hang out on couch the rest of the day.

totally get you wondering about your embies inside. its driving me crazy and I am 3dpt. I was not at all like this the last FET, I am guessing its because I know this is it for me and we are done regardless of outcome. My dh has been after me and kinda mad, I am not good at doing nothing, and he keeps telling me to sit down (RE only said 48 hrs of down, then light stuff.) Dh doesn't realize if he would step it up and do a what I normally do, I wouldn't feel the need to be up.

Gi - 2 ww is maddening! You have blasts in you and they are attaching as I type! Just think about those little ones digging in and makin’ beds in your tummy

Lou – ICSI, embie glue and AH – I don’t even know what those last two are but they sound great! 3 little embies, great for you! I think you have an amazing chance!

Claud – Ah, you must be going crazy. Like your Dr. said – a week more on drugs won’t make any difference except maybe positive! Grow lining grow! Your RE sounds divine and v. supportive!

AFM – Waaaaiiiitttting. For first u/s. V. nervous for it. I have a busy week coming up so I am glad for it to take my mind off things. I’m just praying we see good sac size or sizess and hopefully the yolk sacs! Just tired – REALLY tired. Can’t get through the day without a nap. Peeing a bit more. Boobs hurt before but that’s gone now and not really crampy today or yesterday. So weird! Wish my body would decide on a symptom and stick with it

Merri; yeap regarding the symptoms, but I've spoken to several ladies IRL who are all pregnant and many said no symptoms, or they started at 8 weeks, etc. I think we have to remember, that in the 'real world' we would have only have found out about a week ago (after period was late by a few days), and would not expect symptoms to be there.

I think I've said it before.. in the 2WW we feel every symptom in the world, and now that we're pregnant we sit around, stock still and trying to pick up a symptom! LOL

Hi Everyone!

Just wanted to let you all know that I'm reading daily and super excited about all of the new BPF's! Congrats!
Even though I don't post as often now, I'm still here

Well, we've backtracked. I think for the first 2 weeks I was so adamant to get pregnant that I was full steam ahead with donor sperm, given that we thought that was our only option.

Well, now I’m flip-flopping every day. As we all love to do research, I started really second-guessing the results. It still doesn’t make sense how in one biopsy they found sperm and in the 2nd they didn’t! I can’t see to let this go. So, I found a doctor in San Francisco, named Dr. Paul Turik. Anyone heard of him?

Well, he’s one of the best doctors when it comes to sperm retrieval and diagnosis and he created something called Mapping. I actually spoke to him directly for 20 minutes, couldn’t believe it, and just had a really, really good feeling about it. We are now going to send him the pathology slides from the first biopsy and he is going to give us an opinion on my DH odds for finding sperm. However, it’s like the more you learn the more frustrated you get. He was like do you know your DH testosterone level…I said..no, they never tested him for that. He said, well now your husband has had 2 testicular biopsies and they procedures can affect testosterone level. He recommends that nothing be done until we get that test back. So, DH had the test done last week and we’re waiting for results.

Then, the other part of me is like…so now we are going to spend another $5000 on top of the IVF ($13,000) if this works…plus travel. I know you can’t put a price on having biological children…but part of me wonders.

So, overall, I’m completely confused and have no idea what to do.

Morning Ladies,

I had another small scare this morning after my SnS.....when I got my lining checked the RE (different from the one that had been doing the u/s the past week) said my lining was a 6!!! I then totally freaked out when I got home and emailed my RE right away in a panic. She called me back and assured me that the pictures from my scan were exactly the same as last week (even looking slightly better) and the RE that did my u/s was more conservative Why does this have to be sooo stressful?!??! I just wish I was at an 8 so I can stop worrying but of course I'm now paranoid I'm going to decrease in lining instead of increasing!!! OY!! I got back Thursday to my RE and hopefully will get some peace of mind.

Tiger-so good to hear from you!! I know this must be such a hard decision, but if a biological child is in your heart and mind, then you need to do whatever you can!! I just hope you find the path you want to follow and are happy

Hi girls~ just wanted to let you know I will be straying from the boards for a bit. DH and I decided to wait a few months before cycling again...maybe July'ish....we also decided to cancel our second opinion with the other clinic. We decided to stay where we are at and save the $$. Also, we decided not to do any medicated cycles....they gave us less than 2% getting pregnant on other meds...every cycle would cost more and more of our benefit and we are low on $$ as it is. W e decided to try and clean up our lives (diet and exercise) and try again in July....So we are going to take a much needed break from TTC. I wish you all the best and lots more BFPs. You ladies have been wonderful and soooo supportive. I consider myself so lucky tohave found you all. I hope when I am back in July....you will all be preggars:) ~Nicole
