Egg and embryo donation in Czech Republic

Post by Anna-Maria »

I recently found out that I am pregnant after a treatment in Czech Republic - Gyncentrum in Ostrava. I had 2 embryos transferred and 3 frozen for future use. I did not use Lupron (the clinic does not recommend it) only HRT to bring my period on as I am perimenoposal and have periods infrequently.

I used progynova for the preparation of the uterus lining – the clinic sent me their protocol. My lining was 10 mm when I had the scan at the clinic.

The journey was relatively easy ( we travelled by train from Prague) and the clinic was great, very friendly.

The doctors are very serious about their profession and they were trying to do their best to get the women pregnant. They have excellent results in clinical pregnancy.

They practically have no waiting list for ED, as they have plenty of good donors and a big bank of frozen embryos therefore no waiting list for embryo adoption also.

The donor already had 2 children and was University educated, I only got basic characteristics of the donor as in Czech Republic they are anonymous.
I was corresponding for a while with Diana from Gyncentrum, who speaks good English, her email is: diana.smith@gyncentrum.com. I have been to clinics in Brno and Prague, had one BFN and one biochemical.
The treatment with DE costs €3,600 much less than the other Czech clinics.

Best regards

Big Congrat`s!!!

Post by natashamom »

Wow!!Congratulation to you!!
I`m Natasha from Phoenix,AZ,had a bad experience in my State with e embies donated from our clinic in AZ.I got my BFP but misscaried after finding out it was a blighted ovum.

So now gotta save all over again...

I`m so thrill to learn you had a good experience and a BFP,this is really awesome!

I`ll need to go for the embryos as I`m sure eggs are much more expensive and as is its hard for me.

I`m planning on going there on my own and its freaking me out a little.

But I`m glad you`re sharing your story as I never heard about this clinic before.

I was thinking about a clinic in Reno,NV,but they`re a real pain, they wabt my DH to do a psych consult and I need to pay $200 for this as well as a phone consult with the RE which will cost another 170!!...Plus they barely answer my questions so now that I hear about this clinic,I`m really intrigued!

Are you in the US?

Enjoy your pregnancy and keep us updated!

How many weeks along are you?

Keep in touch,take care,

Natasha.

I`ll email them right now!

I am in my 5th week of pregnancy and should have USG next week.
I live in London and noticed quite a few English and Irish ladies are going to Ostrava as the clinic has no waiting list for donor eggs or embryo donation. The price also seems to be a little cheaper than other Czech clinics.
Please let me know if you contacted the clinic and if you decided to go there.

Regards

Yes,I did email Diana and I`m thinking about the pros and cons of going abroad as we do have an option to go for embryo adoption program here in Reno,Nevada so not sure yet,I`ll sure let you know!

Good luck on your first scan, how exciting!!

Natasha.

Oh,Anna Maria,

I`m so sorry about your misc`,I wish you lots of success in your frozen cycle

Pls keep me update and lots of positive thoughts.

As for me,I`m still saving and have come to the conclusion that the best would be to go with egg donors in CNY fertility center in NYC.

Good luck and lets keep in touch,

N`.

haha.. i just give her an alternative for the treatment abroad. the success rates are higher compared with the centre in the US and UK.
