Hello Ladies,

Hope everyone is well.

Carolyn - how are the boys? x

Loving the list of us all - easier to keep on track of things! Ha :D

I'm going for a blood test tomorrow to see if I've ovulated on the Clomid. I've been using ovulation tests but nothing has come up as yet. I didn't use them until day 14 of my cycle so unless I've missed when i've ovulated or i haven't as yet! Will mention it to the nurses tomorrow. I've had a few hot flushes but apart from that i've felt fine on the Clomid.

Sophie - no IUI for us. Just taking the Clomid and changed our lifestyle for the 6 months and will see how things go from there.

Will let you know how I get on.

Take care everyone x x x x

Image friends!

It's been such a long time since this thread was so active!!! I LOVE IT!

So wonderful to see updates on so many and to see some big, positive changes coming down the road! YAY!!!

First of all, Queen Becks! - reading your posts has been so uplifting. i'm sooo glad to see you back in the baby world! BEST WISHES for your appointment this Friday!!! I'm so excited for you and DH!!! I have a single girlfriend who has always wanted children (she's also an elementary school teacher) and she just recently, in the past year, became a foster parent, and is now in the process of adopting her foster daughter. She is adorable and I'm so happy for them. I only wish as much wonderful success for you!! (ooh, and sorry about the confusion with my ticker! - that's supposed to mean that i'm on IVF #4 now, i guess i should change that to make more sense! My son is 15 months old now)

Rachel - sounds like ruby is doing really well... hope daisy picks up some weight and starts eating more soon. I'm sure she will turn around in no time. i'm sure they keep you busy. especially when ur struggling yourself. hang in there, girlie and hope u feel better soon!!!

Jayne - so glad to hear Oliver is doing better!! Will keep him and you all in our prayers. I can't believe they will be 2 soon!! Gage is not far behind them! it goes TOO FAST! No chance for more? :( honestly, if gage had been one of twins, then we wouldn't be going down the IVF road again either. we really didn't think we'd be able to muster another huge $$ amt for another go. Somehow, we managed, but it certainly hasn't been easy. best wishes to you, tho, whether you find a way to try again or not.

Tracy - WOO HOO!! So glad you are getting going!! and PERFECT, eh!?! GREAT NEWS!!! Image

Lee - hope all is well with you, can't wait to catch up again!

Vicky - how did the blood test go? how r u feeling??

Carolyn! MUM!! How's it going in the life of a mom of two beautiful twin newborn boys?! sounds like like just about what i'd expect. so sorry to hear that benjamin isn't feeling well. hope he starts feeling better soon and u and DH can get some rest!

sophie! yay for #2! hope it goes well with the fet! hope you get to relocate when the time is right. we want to relocate too... but it's just not right now. my dh can retire (they have 25 yr retirement) in 3 years. i'm hoping we can somehow make it to our new home (closer to my family) before that, especially with two little ones! I know where you're coming from, sweetie. hope we both make it sooner than later!

afm - i've barely made it out of bed the past two days. ugh. my m/s is somehow worse than last time. i am not sure how people make it beyond 2 pregnancies. Gage is wonderful and beautiful, but it's exhausting to be sick and try to take care of him. i wish we lived closer to my family so i could have more help when dh is working. and of course, i wish i could not have to work too, but we can't have it all, now can we?! ;) just hoping the m/s subsides some soon! ;)

my first 6wk ultrasound is this wednesday, st. patty's day! and no, sorry ladies, i don't expect to see 2 little ones in there. we did elective single embryo transfer, so unless by some rare chance, it decided to split and i've got identicals in there, i'm expecting (and HOPING!) to see 1 little tiny heartbeat. i'm not too worried, tho. i had much higher betas with gage than this little one, whom we fondly call, "Icky" by the way (my dh has to come up with crazy names for our embies - icky is short for ichabod... may be a great name for someone, but not one we'll be using ;) )

looking forward to catching up!! love, hugs to all!

Hi guys!!!

Becky! :D It's great to hear from you!!! WOW, as you said things move really fast, I'm so happy for you!!!!! Oooooh I hope the adoption process will be joyful and exciting!!! No needle in sight, it's a plus! ;) I hope you'll update often so I know what's happening for you guys! You're the living proof that, when you really want something, you will get it. You're meant to become a mommy again, and it will be granted to you very soon! :D As for your question, Jérémie was born on April 27th. THANKS for the update on Aunty, I'm SO HAPPY for her!!! Where are the little girls from? Tell her hi!!!!! :D:D:D

Miracle: Any news dear? Cake decoration???? Ooooooh if you have tips I'm in. I spent half an hour watching cake decoration tutorials on youtube and I had a blast!!!! Two of my friends are engaged and I'm, crossing my fingers that they'll think of me for the cake or the whole banquet. How are your studies going dearest? Are you still passionate about law? Have you found a type of law that you like more than others? How are things on the tmt front? I can't wait to have news! ;)

Lee Hi dear! :D Oh wow, I'm sorry to hear about your grandma. *HUGS* Is she hospitalized? Is she okay now? Does she live far from you? Wow, it must be a lot of stress, I can only imagine. My oldest grandma is 85 and she lives 3 hours from here. If she fell... *shudders* I mean, even if my family is there and would take care of her, I would still feel the distance and very much wish to be there. She's very lucky to have you and I really hope you can organize things for her in order to get some peace of mind about the situation, and improve hers of course. And I hope the little buggers cooperate! ;)

Vicky: so, what did the test say? And what's the next step? Oh, I really hope things will work out for you. Sometimes, all you need is a little push. I'll keep fingers and toes crossed that Clomid does the trick. :D

Rachel: so sorry to hear you're still depressed! And Daisy! It must drive you crazy to see her refuse solids and still be on a full nursing schedule... *HUGS* I really hope the ped can help. My best friend's baby had weight problems and they struggled for a few months, but he's very healthy now, he came out of it. No baby will starve him/herself for long; I'm sure you'll find a way. Hang in there!!!!!

Carolyn: Reading your post made me all warm and fuzzy inside! :D:D I mean, I can understand how tired you must be, and how two straight hours of sleep is a luxury right now. But through it all, I feel such a wonderful warmth, love, care, and tenderness emanate from your post that I can't help but think how lucky your little boys are to have a devoted mom like you. *HUGS* Sometimes you think you can't go on like this and a minute later they remind you why you'd do anything for them, and the energy comes back! How is DH adapting to the twins? Do you get some help from family members or friends that live close?

Hope: you and I seem to be alike in a few ways. I, too, dream about the day I'll relocate closer to my family. Our relationship has been difficult for decades (not with everybody of course! some of them), but the arrival of my son made everybody drop their defenses and, just like that, we changed our relationship completely, for the better! Things became easy! Hehehe I understand how it is, to make somewhat unpleasant choices because you want DH to be happy and not rush him into a big decision. Hey, if you wait until he retires, that means you guys can move without worrying about him finding a new job, that's great! :D I'm sorry to hear MS is so bad: have you considered taking Diclectin? It made a WORLD of difference for me with my last pregnancy. The pharmacist told me it's completely safe, lots of research done and it's made with vitamins and minerals so nothing harmful for the baby. It does cause fatigue, though, I could barely stand up at the end of the day sometimes. But I'd choose that over MS anytime! As for taking care of your DS AND dealing with pregnancy symptoms, all I can say is... think about how each day that passes is one LESS day of fatigue and MS before the second trimester kicks in! :D Can't wait until your ultrasound; keep us posted!!!! :D:D:D

Sorry, I've been MIA, sorry! Small panic with the daycare, but everything is okay now. She refused to take Jérémie after his first morning (she felt overwhelmed with two newbies and, even though we booked him in December, and knowing I'm going back to work on April 1st, she just said she couldn't take him!!!!) but she changed her mind the next day because she reorganized the daycare schedule, realized she had panicked and spoken too soon, and after a long discussion, we decided to give her a second chance. WHEW. Jérémie is fine when I'm not there, but he started to realize he's missed me when I come back to pick him up. I'm not worried; he LOVES being with other babies and children, so before long he won't want to leave! ;)

I also had an evaluation done by a nutritionist and I am now on a very precise "diet". I realized I was cutting down too many things, putting too much pressure on myself to do cardio, and she gave me tips to prevent hypoglycemia. Once you learn to calculate your portions and organise them throughout the meals and snacks, it's easy. And it works! I've lost 3.4 pounds in a week! Yay! :D Cutting down my sugar intake dramatically was hard the first few days, but now that the detox is complete, I actually taste sugar much better and I rediscovered the pleasure of food! And I still get to eat peanut butter every morning, yaaaay! :)

Okay, way past bedtime, time to go to bed! Jérémie has the flu for the first time (yup, didn't waste any time, started daycare only last week!!!) and I hope he'll get a good night's rest... and us too! He's been Mr Grumpy all day, it's really not like him!

Kisses,

Sophie

Hi Ladies,

Just a quick one as am at work.

Hope good luck for tomorrow

Rachel, big hugs to you sounds like you have a lot going on there, just wanted to re-assure you about daisy's weight. I checked the red books last night and Zak was only that weight at Daisy's age, and he was a lot slower getting to grips with solids than Oliver. He seemed to be on puree for ever, I think we turned a corner when they started nursery and he ate with a lot of other children, he is very independant and will not let us feed him even now he only weighs 22.7lb. He has always been between the 9th and 2nd percentile for his weight. I know it is a worry but they will eat what they need. Also very difficult not to compare with Ruby.

Hope everyone is well, got to run am at work.
catch you all soon
