Hi Girls,

Clinic just called. I left work early so I'd be home for the call and I didn't even get my jacket off before my cell rang. It's a BFP for me! HCG = 136. RN said RE was "chomping at the bit" and took the serum from my blood draw and did a HPT on it. So he saw the positive minutes after I left... stinker! Here I held out to NOT do a HPT and my RE can't even do that!

Thank you all for your support. It really meant the world. I can't stop smiling and thanking God right now. DH is really happy too. He was home but has to go into work right now.

My second beta is Monday. I know it's still so early, but keep your fingers crossed for me guys!

Ronda whoo hoo do is suspect twins imagine you would really have your hands full then!!!! I cant remember and i keep forgetting to ask you your other kids are they all from the same batch of frosties or have you done a few cycles???

Katie the ClearBlue digital test comes with conception indicatator and tells you the number of wks, so at 9dp3dt it read "pregnant 1 - 2 weeks" which means 3-4 wks pregnant as they are going by last date of period, so i will test later this wk to see if it says "pregnant 2-3wks" which means 4-5 wks pregnant - it actually really helps me as we dont do betas so i can see it rising though i know theres still a risk the only downfall the battery on them only last 24hrs then the writing disappears!! ah well may just keep buying more!! I have one more session on the Intraplid drip thurs wk and on all meds till 12 wks they are making me seriously hungry sometimes my tummy thinks my throat has been cut if i havent eaten after 2 hrs!!! I am not used to eating this much and quite small naturally (5ft4inch and 112 lbs) so it will be interesting!! I dont care anyway just will try eat healthily enough sure i plan on haveing a big fat belly

I couldn't get to the betabase.com to come up (didn't even know it existed!) but I will take your word for it! Median for twins at 16dpt? I am 13 dpt today. Hmmm, could be multiple, but could also just be a really good singleton!

Ronda Ooops! I was so excited I must have had a brain cramp or something - its betabase.info Sorry about that! They go by DPO ( days past ovulation) but you just add what day transfer to what day embie so if you're 13dp3dt then thats 16DPO. Either way its just something neat, as we all know NOT to get all worked up over beta #'s - only the fact that they are rising! Is your DH over the top? Hee heee I told you your trip to TN would be delayed!

Lou Are you stuck at work all day? I hope not! This is too happy of a day to be stuck at work!! Guess your training sessions will be put off for a while - say 8 months or so! I'd like to twell you that your heartburn will go away now - but let me just say that Zantac is my new best friend, with Colace running a close second! Are you doing PIO shots?, or Crinone? or both? I'm on both and will be until 12w - so my heart is happy - but not my ass! Dont skip the heating pad or you'll be in the same boat as me -lumpy, lumpy, lumpy! ouch! How excited is your DH? I'll bet he's over the moon! I'm so happy for you!

Gi It sounds like your new clinic has all the right answers for your NK cells - and not too many drips/ meds - so YAY for that! I'm so thrilled that I get to have all 3 three of my girls on the other side!! And your Mam! How is J? Is he catering to your every need? - I'll bet he is. Now did you get to be able to take off work for an extended period? lets take no chances now - mama! And go enjoy all the ice cream you want!

Sonya: I am so, so sorry. It is so cruel for this to happen to you. Words cannot express...just know that we are all thinking of you.

To everyone I missed: I'm thinking of you and hoping for the best in your adventures to becoming mommies!

AFM: Not much going on in the IVF world for me. It's been a rough week, though. Monday was my first day back to work, and my boss did my yearly evaluation after lunch. I know I haven't been the best nurse this past year because I've been preoccupied with infertility issues, my grandfather's death, and our ongoing immigration saga...My boss is just a b**ch, though! And, many of the nurses I work with! (She picks nurses to do peer evals, as well.) Needless to say, I applied to transfer to 3 different floors yesterday; we'll see if I have enough senority to get the heck out of there!

As for my IVF journey, I had my follow-up with my RE today. He said what he would do differently next time, all things I expected he would say: start out on the highest dose of follistim and do ICSI on all the eggs, and hope for frozen embies. He said in the thousands of cycles he's done, I'm the first to have an infection after transfer. Why me? Seriously! So, things changed a little for my start date for the next cycle. I have to take this cycle off (the nurse I talked to Friday was "confused.") and then with my next period I'll start BCP. 3 weeks of that, then we'll start Lupron, then stimms mid May. So, pushed back a month, I guess. It's ok. All in due time. I have an acupunture appt tomorrow, and my weekly hour massage on Friday, so I'm still enjoying pampering myself! I know all of this will cost enough to write off on taxes next year because of the second cycle, so I might as well make the most of it!
