kittycat -- Your beta does seem early but the blood test is very accurate, so you should get a number if it's positive. My clinic always does the first beta 14 days after ER. Did you have a FET or a 5 day transfer? If it was a 5 day, then it's right on time . Good luck tomorrow!

katie -- you're post made me laugh because I know the feeling of being excited for someone else's BFP. I jumped around and cheered yours...lol. Thanks for being there. And thanks for keeping up our tracker! I'd be lost without it! I'm doing PIO shots. I hate them. I've got one bruised rump! DH has gotten good at giving them. I've been icing the injection site prior and it seems to help.

Ronda -- Can't wait to hear how many babies you have in there... you transferred 4 frosties, right? I'm betting it's more than one!

Franny -- Can't wait for you to join the other side of the boards either! Are you cycling March/April? I'm going to be stalking you. That BFP is on it's way. It took me three transfers to get this one. Still in shock! I Think you are right, my mom was right here with me.

Lauren -- I'm going to be stalking you as well. One of those frosties of yours is soon to be your BFP!

Claudia --- PUPO!!!! YAY!!! I really hope this is your time and you get a BFP. You've been through so much stress with the darn lining checks to get here. I'm excited for you and will be checking up on you too.

Gi -- You keep doing those clearblue tests that tell you how far along you are... sounds cool! When do you follow up at your clinic if there's no beta? Do you have to wait for u/s?

AFM -- So I just found out today that I am indeed pregnant, beta = 136. I took my HPT to confirm and got two definite lines. Made it all very real. I know it's very early. I wasn't sure if I was going to end up on the April board or the Winter mommies board that Katie started. I'm still not sure...lol. But until someone gives me other news, I'm going with the mommies board! I will definitely be checking up on all the wonderful women I cycled with from October to present whose BFP's are still to come. It is sad that this board is coming to a close soon.... Keep in touch everyone. But first, we need to wait for a couple more betas to come in!

Lou, I am sooo sooo happy for you. It was a FET, not to sure when most have BETAs for those. I called today to see if they could push it Friday for the purpose of me feeling my embryos need to get stronger. Just don't know.

kittycat -- for a FET where the embies were frozen on day 5, then your beta should be 9 days after transfer. That's how my clinic does it. If they were frozen on day 3, then you should probably wait until Friday. Whatever you decide... Good Luck!

I know I vanished for awhile, but with this board coming to an end and so many of you moving on to a Winter 2010 baby board, I thought I would drop in and say hi! Lou, I am so happy for you, and what a perfect ending to this board. You were are first BFN and last BFP! I think for the most part I have come to terms with my experience and I also think I will try for a FET in January. I can do a Flex Spending Account and pay using that method. I will be on the downside of their numbers when it comes to age, but I don't think those 7 months can really play a factor...and my embies are still on the right side of the game. To all of you with BFP's, cherish each and every moment and each and every experience. I mentioned that I have other children and that I landed here do to a tubal ligation. I assumed that since I had never had problems in the past that the result of a BFP would be a baby. I was wrong. I am sure that everyone here will continue on down the road and have successful pregnancies with that outcome but as Sonya has experienced, Miaya, and myself...that is not always the case. So enjoy your pregnancy but remember the miracle that it is and when your little one's arrive in October and November, hold them, love them, cherish them, and then for one second remember your journey and the journey of others who turned out so differently.

Hi everyone -

Boy, I just love how much great news we have had over here recently! It makes me so happy to see all those BFPs rolling in especially after how long its taken some of us - YAY! I hope the streak continues it does make me sad to see this thread coming to an end, I've gotten so attached to you all. I'm not sure that I could have have made it through 7 tries without the amazing and strong women on this site - Thank you for being there. This place has meant so much to me and i think this process changes the way we think forever. At least regarding fertility or lack thereof. I'm not going anywhere - you all have become a part of my day that I really look forward to I'll be checking up on my girls that are still trying & probably crashing and bothering you guys teee heee


Lou Has the news sunk in yet? How little sleep did you & your DH get last night? It will feel surreal for a while. I still have mornings when I wake up and think "I'm pregnant? really?! " My DH has gotten really good at the PIO shots too, but you'll be on them for a long time (RE says til 12 weeks) so you've got to try to stay as lump free as you can! I've never iced before the injection, I think its better to have the muscle as warm to help disperse that thick oil. I've just tried lately to use the heating pad before as well as after the shots and it seem to be helping. But I believe the real key is to do a FIRM massage for at least 10 minutes after (thats the part my DH always skimps on) then i pay the price of feeling the lumps - fun, yes? Did you say your 2nd beta wasnt til Monday?

Gi How are you feeling? Now what is your next move? Do I have this right, after patiently waiting out your 2ww, now you begin the next 2ww until your 7 week scan? Ack! You poor girl, it never ends does it? But its all worth it in the end - a big baby belly!

Sarah I'm sorry that you had such a rough week! this really was a bad time to have evals! I wonder why it seems that charge nurses are always so difficult?! it sounds like your RE has a better plan for your nxt try, so try to focus on that ( I know impossible with INS stuff going on!) I'll stay crossed for your April cycle and will be checking up over there! Big hug!

My youngest dd is from the Fresh cycle that created the embies we just used for FET. Interesting that a pg test tells you how make weeks you are. I have never heard of it!

I'm still in shock that I am pg! my second beta is Friday at 9 am. I wonder when it will really sink in that I am pg. Maybe after 2nd beta #. Keep your fingers crossed for doubling!

I just umped to March/April board and read your story ( was still thinking your transfer was going to be on Friday). WOW, its never dull with you!. Your dog was probably like WTH???? My walk was very short!. I am so glad you are finally PUPO!

Katie thankfully i am off work for next few mths and its partially paid by my taxes so financially we are ok, you are right another 2.5 wk wait for me as no betas but i am not going to stress as long as i dont get too bad cramping or bleeding i will be ok ( i hope!!)

I cant believe ye havent heard of those digital tests with number of wks we have them here for the past year. I did another today as i was only supposed to officially test today and the number of wks has increased which is great. J is sooo excited but extremley nervous wants to know constantly how i am then says he doesnt want to know as if i mention the word cramps his face grows pale i try to tell him its normal and i dont get many! Quick question how do i change my profile?? I havent a clue how with this new layout and i am finally going to add a ticker as i want to be positive about this pregnancy and since i have no ultrasound till the 29th i may as well.

While logged in go to the "user control panel" its on the top left side, next to where it says "overview" is "profile" (that still works the same way!)

katie -- Yes, my second beta is Monday... I don't know why so many days later. But that's what they told me. And no...lol... it hasn't sunk in yet. I keep wondering if it's still there. Didn't sleep much at all last night. Kept thinking about how there's going to be soooo much to do and that I don't even know where to start. I'm overwhelmed with the possibilities.
