Mellie - Congratulations on the arrival of your two new bundles of joy! I am so excited for you and your DH! Please let us know how it is going with all three.
The day we came home from the hospital my daughter, Evie, came down with a terrible cold. That has made things a bit crazy. My Mom has been taking care of her and we have quarantined the two of them to the back two bedrooms of the condo while DH and I are in the living room and twins' nursery. It has been terrible not to cuddle and kiss her but we are trying to be careful b/c if the twins get a fever that could be dangerous. It has been a week like this. She seems to be better now so Evie and Mom spent some time here in the living room with us tonight.
We have a nanny for Evie 3 days a week (normally when I work) and so, since my mom is here, the nanny has taken over caring for the twins on those days so I can get some sleep. That has helped a lot.
Caring for two is more work than caring for one but it's doable -- the bigger problem, I think, is the prematurity. Cecilia, especially, is so tiny. DH and I take turns staying up at night with them.
I'm not sure how it'll go when I am alone with all three of them. I remember thinking it would be so hard to take care of just Evie when I had her and that went fine, so I am hoping that things work themselves out when my mom has to go home. Fortunately, she is planning to stay for as long as we need her so that is great.
Gecko, how are you feeling?
Rio, are you still planning to start trying again soon?
Mellie- Congrats on your twins arriving! How exciting! I don't know how you are managing...you go girl!
Rio- I know, I have not been on here in forever. It has been hard for me to come to the boards when I am not cycling and may not be in the foreseeable future. I try to come back and read as much as I can, but I get depressed that I want to try again and can't.
But everything is good over here. Ella had her 18 month check up yesterday. She was 20 lbs 10 oz (10th percentile), and 32 inches tall (60th percentile). She is still not saying any "real" words. I mean, she is social and babbles constantly, but just doesn't want to repeat words just yet. I think she is close. The dr said if in 3 months still nothing, to call them and they will get a speech pathologist out to us for evaluation.
And, we just got her a puppy. I wasn't really seeking that out, but it fell in our laps. My husband and I started a photography business last summer, and there is someone at his job who breeds german shepherds. She gave us one for free in exchange for a couple photo sessions. His name is Brady and he is 8 weeks old. He is cute, but man is it a lot of work. He is a chewer, and is still very young. We have only had him for a few days, so everyone is still adjusting. He starts obedience school next week.
Everything else is good. I am taking a big teaching test next week, and if all goes well with that I am thinking about looking for a position in the fall. I don't really want to go back to work, but if we want another baby and a bigger house, it is really the only way we can do it.
I hope everyone else is good. Talk to you guys again soon.

Wow you all have been busy! Sorry I really do not come on here that much any more and now that I have they totally changed the site on me!
Congrats to all the new mommies! I can not imagine having another one at the moment. DH and I will probably do a FET end of next year or beginning of 2012. I want the girls to be able to go to preschool once I have another baby(ies).
Other than that, the girls are doing great. Talking up a storm, into everything, temper tantrums, getting the last of their teeth (before the 2 year molars *sigh*). Mackenzie is 23 1/5 lbs and 32 inches and Brooke is 24 lbs and 32 inches. They are in the 25% for everything. Dr. says they should be totally caught up in height/weight when they are two but she is not adjusting them any more for anything because they are above average on a lot of things (speech, skills, etc) which is great for being 10 weeks early! Who would have thought?! Crazy to think they will be 2 in August.
I will try to check in more on here. I am glad to hear all is going well with you ladies. Good luck on the FET Michele.
I am still here....and still pregnant! I have a scheduled c-section on April 28th. I am very anxious to have him here, but haven't finished his room yet. I finally stopped working yesterday and won't have to go back until mid-August. So far, all is well. His last u/s showed him at 6lbs, 3 ozs and that was two weeks ago so I think he will be big just like his brother. I haven't had any problems with this pregnancy, however, I did catch EVERY bug that came my way. I am currently on my 5th nasty cold. I hope I am healthy before the birth!
Declan is growing like a weed, talking up a storm and running us ragged. He is such an easy baby /toddler for the most part. He loves his daycare and is just a funny guy. The only thing we haven't gotten worked out is the food issue. He just won't eat lots of adult food. He much prefers to have me feed him baby food - still! He won't even eat the baby food with chunks in it! He will eat cheese sandwiches, tortillas, toast, some fruit, crackers, cheese, cereal, and chips. Sometime his daycare can evn gt him to eat a vegetable, but we can't at home. No way will he eat any kind of meat or fish. Any suggestions? Or is it just a matter of him getting older?
I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the spring. I will be in touch!
I really don;t have time to post, need to go back and catch up on everyone. Sorry I seemed to disappear, it has just been hard to come here lately when I have no prospects of a new cycle anytime soon. But Gecko, how exciting, April 28th is my birthday! Good luck and hope you feel better soon and are healthy for the birth day.
