Update: the clinic called. Turns out I can stop the antibiotics tomorrow because I've had enough to have the desired effect. If I start estrogen patches, FET will be delayed two days because of the different dosage. I decided to stick with the pills because FET would be on a Sunday, which means I won't have to miss work... antibiotics are hard on the stomach, so we figured if we stop one of the two problematic meds, it might just do the trick. Since yesterday, the cramps have improved a bit, so... I'll give it a try. Bye-bye antibiotics fatigue, yaaaay!

Hugs,

Franca: Congratulations hun on your BFP  You must be so chuffed (understatment) xxx

Sophie: I see you and Carolyn have kept this place going (as always) hehehe, cant belive ur so close to ur FET already. Soon u will be getting ur BFP and your family will be complete (well, thats unless u want/have anymore lol) xxx

Ems: Congrats on your perfect scan :D maybe now u can relax a bit an enjoy being preggers ... well, when u have stopped being sick that is, so sorry ur feeling so rough, but hopefully this will soon pass an u will start to bloom as you should :D Xxx

I cant scroll back any further to find out the rest of the gossip, but i wioll go an get the 'list' and update our BFP's and scans and FETS etc .... Ooooo how exciting :D

As for me, nothing really to report, there is a waiting list of at least 5-6mths before the home visits start appartantly, so we not holding out much hope for getting them started by July Sarah, so looks like u can update me on the process and the questions they ask hhehe, u can be my informant LOL ...

Hi ladies, sorry i have been awol, just crazy busy. One of my staff had a baby end of march so took his 2 weeks paternity off and with easter it lasted 3 weeks, so lots of extra days for me covering his days. Got more on holiday next week so thought i would try to catch up as DH has gone to see Kiss.

Hope all you pregnant ladies are doing well and the sickness is not too bad.

Becky, sorry it is all so slow but hoping you don't have to wait too long, my neighbours daughter has just finished her process so they are now waiting for a child, they tried everything for their own kids and all failed. He said they are going for siblings as they stand a better chance of getting a young baby.

Carolyn, how are you and your boys doing? hope they are piling the weight on, they should be nearly ready to sleep through (hopefully), are you still breastfeeding? I am sure you are a pro by now and in a good routine. Wow just realised that i was getting ready to go back to work around this time, crazy heh, bet it's far from your mind.

Sophie, hope your feeling bettr and your fet goes to plan.

Hi to all i've missed.

As for me we are all doing ok, the boys are thriving and are chattering away like mad, Oliver is a bit ahead of Zak on the speech but Zak is quicker on dexterity, we have just bought them a slide and they love it straight down Oliver went down head first, so funny!!!
any way best go get some shut eye.
catch you soon

Good morning ladies!

How are you doing? :D Hey, this thread is a bit sleepy, where is everyone?

MIRACLE!!!!! TRACIIIIII!!!! We're on May 4th, so is it official? Do you no longer belong to this thread??? :D:D:D:D Come join us on the May cycle buddies, there are many people who have just started their cycles too! And some of them know and love you (obviously!!!). Love ya, mwah!!!

Carolyn,
oooooh yes please, I want to see those cute little faces!!!! And that way you'll be able to see my profile too and we'll keep in touch. Hey, congrats on being so well organised for your first day as a homemaker! ;):D:D:D:lol: Oh, you're very lucky, they only wake up once? Took Jérémie much longer... and he's still waking up in early morning, although it's not really his fault, he's teething a lot these days... So what's your plan, how long before you go back to work? To the spa? To a posh party? ;) Ooooh I'm going for a massage, a pedi and a haircut on the 15th with my bff. My stylist made her dream come true and opened a Morocco-inspired spa. SO BEAUTIFUL and reasonably priced. Apparently, the deluxe pedi lasts for 1:30, and you get nice scrubs and a coffee mud wrap and all sorts of things... just in time for the sandals season! :) A PUPO girl must assume her princess status, eh?

Becky,
Carolyn is right, Christmas doesn't see too too far when you think about it. I'm also anxious to know how the meeting went! :D Remember what the guy said at the meeting... sometimes it feels like it's going to take forever to happen, but you forget all that when you hold your child in your arms for the first time! You,ve come this far hunny, you're resilient and strong, I'm sure you'll find a way to keep busy with pleasant projects to make time pass faster! :)

Franca, CONGRATS!!!!!! How are you doing?

Ems, ooooh so sorry about the MS... with the fatigue, it really is trying... I hope you're feeling better now?

Jayne, hi there, it's grea to haer from you!!! Sorry you're so busy, but I guess it's just temporary! Hey, sounds like your little buggers are a handful, so beautiful to watch them grow isn,t it? Every week, every day it seems they do something new! :D

Lee? Hello? Back from Spain? How is that tan?

AFM, there,s much to report, as always. FET is approaching and I know the days between u/s and FET will be stressful. It's particularly stressful this time because I only have one package of frosties. BUT I try to reassure myself with the fact that, each time they thawed our embies, 50% survived. So we should have 1 or 2 embies, technically. And it only takes one... I'm quite calm about the whole thing, doing this again after having a child is very different. And being a veteran helps, too, although it's surprising how much you forget!!! (how many times a day should I take estrace?? eeerrrrrrrr) Thankfully, the stomach cramps went away when I started taking the pills after my meals and stopped the antibiotics. I still have to watch my appetite, but it's okay. The nicer side effects of the meds kicked in, and DH has dark circles under his eyes, but a nice sparkle in them too! :) Gee, sometimes I would swoop down on him just for putting his jacket on, with his broad and strong shoulders and... *sigh*

Other than that, I have officially started a cool project. I became a part-time cake decorator! :) Traci, if you feel like moving to Montreal, I'm ready to open a business with you! :D I found a nice professional cake decorator in Connecticut who's coaching me (Traci, you might want to check her website, wedding cakes for you, she's so nice!!!). I made a first attempt with fondant for Jérémie's daycare birthday cake and I had a lot of fun. Then on Saturday, I made a maypole wedding cake and got very good reviews. This week, I'm making another bday cake for Jérémie because my family is coming to Montreal to celebrate. DH suggested me to become a part-time caterer last year when I was rethinking my career. It's been bugging me ever since. I LOVE cooking so much, you all know that, but I didn't want to work exclusively on evenings and weekends. So doing cakes and desserts allows me to work during the day, deliver, and then leave. I don't know if my hobby will become a burden once I open a business. So I give myself a couple of years to test the idea. I've made a website and I'll offer my services to our social network, and their networks... spread the word. I'll only charge for the ingredients and decoration. That way it's not a business, and I can pile up experience and see if I still like it after a year or so. Then, if I want to start a business, I'll do the 12-hour training for my hygiene and salubrity accreditation, buy a permit, register the business and my prices will go up! :)

Okay guys, time to go! Take care!

Hi All!!

Have been reading just had no time to write,

Carolyn, your boys look so gorgeous, I had a peek on facebook, congratulations for doing your first day home alone!! You sound like you were super organised, time for IVF board and Jeremy Kyle!!

Franca congrats on the BFP!! I don't think I have been on here since your result!!! :D

Becky thats tough to hear you have to wait another few months, its so frustrating, I was annoyed when we heard we would be waiting, it will be 15 months from when we applied till when we start the home study, which will start in July and although at the time I thought it would never come round July is not far around the corner now!! I'll let you know what they ask when it starts!!

Ems ooooh heartbeat that must have been so exciting to see, :D

Jayne, glad to hear boys are doing ok,

Sophie, sounds like you are as busy as ever, cake decorating, work, Jeremie and FET amazing!!!

Traci where are you, hows it going have you started, let us know whats happening!!

Hi to everyone else,

AFM, well I made it back from Spain a week later than we thought, we were fine and we made it back on a flight so we did not have to spend a £1000 on trains, cars and ferries fortunately!!!
The weather was rubbish it was cold amd rainy so Sophie sadly I returned without a tan!!! The girls were fantastic and did not stress out over the extra week, they even got in the freezing cold pool!!!
Our little 5yr old foster daughter has decided she would like us to be her mummy and daddy and has made it very clear she is not going anywhere else thank you very much, so it is getting quite hard to keep her balanced at the moment as it is taking Social Services so long to make a decision about her future  !! Our 14yr old has started therapy now as well so our house is full of emotions at the moment, Essential oils and reiki doing a good job of keeping a lid on it !!! Send me lots of calming thoughts down the internet line!!
Have not made any decisions about my jobs as things have settled down a bit, and remember the study I started a couple of years ago well I have finished!!!! All signed off and passed so a lot more time on my hands now!!!

Ok hope everyone has a good week, catch up with you all later,

Love Lee xxx
Finally I am a mummy, we are about to adopt our beautiful little girl xxxxx

Hi Ladies,

How are we all?

So sorry I haven't been on a for a while, had a very busy few weeks!

Well I had 2 months on Clomid and it did absolutely .....NOTHING! I had a blood test on day 21 of my cycle. I tried to get my results, that was a task and half! It took about 10 days for me to get my results, by which time i was 5 days late of what should have been a 28 day cycle so of course me and DH was thinking I could potentially be pregnant. When i eventually got to speak to the nurse she was awful! Every time I rang she said the results hadn't come through and to try again the next day which I did. Then when i spoke to her she was very unhelpful and said that they were short staffed as they had a member of staff go off sick suddently (i understand that - I work in a hopsital and know the pressures people are under) and asking me if 'it was really necessary that i know the result' Erm, HELLO yes of course it is! What person has a test and doesn't want to know the result?!?! So i said well, yes really cos i want to know if it's worked or not! She said it would mean her ringing the lab and finding out and she 'just didn't have the time' so i said 'don't bother'! I spoke to DH and he told me to ring them again because it did matter and we wanted to know the results! I spoke to the senior nurse and complained about the nurse we spoke to - she'd been unhelpful before and basically not very nice. The senior apologised and said they are there to help us etc...

Anyway my result was <1 so meant i hadn't ovulated  So the nice nurse suggested we increase the dose to 100mgs. Again after 21 days i had another blood test. This time i didn't have any problems getting the results (i think they had learnt from last time). But again it was <1 so no ovulation  They had left my results on my notes to show the consultant who suggested seeing us as even on 100mgs i still didn't ovulated.I was so upset at work - i dont know how I made it through the rest of the day!

I'd really been suffering from hot flushes and disturbed sleep, so in a way i'm glad i'm off the Clomid!

So we have a follow up appt on 20th May. Me and DH are putting a list together of all the questions we want answering!

I'm so upset and disappointed. We had been on a healthy diet, going to gym and no drinking since January and all for nothing! Needless to say the no drinking has come to an end - it hasn't done anything after a total for 10 months so it never is! And we've just been speading time with friends and family (although difficult with friends as all but 1 has children!). Luckily we have 2 holidays this year to look forward to, and lots of hen/stag weekends, birthdays, and weddings!

We are also considerng buying a puppy! :D ALthough reading up on it, it seems it's going to be harder work than a baby! haha I think we need a distraction from it all being about babies! I know it will never completely take our mind from it, but it may help a little.

Anyway enough of me, it seems it's all going on with everything - so many new exciting posts! Congratulations to all those new pregnant ladies out there - hope everything is going well. Enjoy!

Will keep you all posted after our follow up appt.

Take care ladies

Vicky

I have been watching for your news. I am so sorry that it has not worked and that the nurses were not nice. I hope it goes well on the 20th. I think it is a good idea to get some distraction for while, although puppies are hard work! Enjoy your holidays and I hope you have no probs with flights!

We had Freddie 5 weeks ago and he is perfect, so there is hope for us all.

Take care of yourself
