i have a pcos question...are you on a special diet? ive read about gluten free foods...what do you think about that. when did you find out your diagnosis. any advice in dealing with the side effects of pcos?? i dont know any one with pcos, and it was enlightening to learn all the things that i have been dealing with as a result of pcos, and overwhelming to learn of all the things i may face in the future...

Hello Everyone;
First off, I would like to say that I can relate to the emotional pain that you all must be going through since my story is somewhat similar to all of yours. Secondly, I am so happy that this forum exists. I feel stronger knowing that there are others in my situation. So, to introduce myself, we have been TTC for 5 years. We have unexplained infertility. We are fully ready for IVF (this took me a long time to come to grips with). This is our first attempt and hopefully our last. I, too, am very nervous about the whole process. I start Lupron on 5/22. I hear that Lupron is quite evil, so I’m concerned about which nasty side effects I will have.

Debbie - I have been on lupron since 5/9 and I have been crazy mad. I seem to get mad over everything and I am making my DH's life miserable. Every little thing seems to set me off. I can't wait to be off Lupron.

I wanted to wish all of you June Cycler's luck... I just got the dreaded call from my doctor saying he is cancelling my IVF and moving me to insemination. I had two follies grow to 21cm and 6 stay around a 7cm.


I wish you nothing but babydusts and am so happy I had the chance to share my story with you.

maybethistime - So sorry, I feel your pain. Ive been cancelled 2 times before after finishing bcp and doing lupron for 3 weeks. I hope the IUI works out for you both. Jump in anytime you feel like. Tons of baby dust to you.

Lisa..OMG..mad is not even close to how I have been..my poor son (almost 17) and Husband...today is day 6 of lupron and i was a little better..working out.running has been helping..one more week of just lupron..i have hear that once the fert. inj start.( repronex/follistime) the effects of lupron shouldnt be so bad...ugh...
maybe this time...so sorry for the bad new...but keeping fingers crossed that you can still get good news...

Hi trying for baby...Good luck and glad you are with us...there have been women who had no bad side effects with lupron..maybe you will be one of the lucky ones...hopefully, right?? this is very emotional and I am also grateful to have some place to go to vent..this is my second IVF...I was completely heartbroken the first time and I am hoping that this will be my last!!!! xoxoxo

Hello Ladies,

I saw everyone is doing introductions so here it goes....My DH and I live in Connecticut and have been married for 2 years this coming monday . We were together for 3 yrs before that so as soon as we got married we started trying and after a year of nothing we got tested and he has a low sperm count. We did our first IVF cycle in 10/09 which resulted in a BFP but turned out to be a ectopic pregnancy. I was so upset I needed some time to bring myself together to do it again and finally decided last month we would go for another round. I have been on lupron for a couple of weeks now and on monday had BW and US and tuesday started estrace and baby aspirin, next tuesday I have to do BW and if all goes well I should be getting the frozen transfer (I have 5 frosties from the first cycle)on June 10 I think! I am doing everything possible to keep a PMA. I started accupuncture this week and will be doing Fertile Yoga on saturday.

Hope to get to know all of you better - it is so great to be able to chat with you ladies who are going through the same thing!

Hopefully, fingers and toes crossed, EC/ET should be towards the end of June...

Trisha....my first IVF was BFN so i understand the emotional pain and disappointment...my negative was in April but since I am 40, i dont want to waste any time...sending you tons of baby dust...when will your transfer be?? that fertile yoga sounds awesome and acupncture...great ideas...way to stay positive!!! So importants

Hi Deb - thanks! Sorry to hear that...yes it totally is emotional! Thats great - looks like we might be around the same time, my transfer should be the second week of June. I am 35 and really don't want to waste anytime either as this could be a long journey from what I have seen....

WW - glad you joined in! I have never heard of the nasal spray either...what is it?

Glad you guys started a June cycle , was over in the mAy cycle but think we are going to be June, have an appt Wed 26 may, with doctor srating over since we are in a new place with testing just to make sure nothing changed if all goes will hope to start med middle of June. wishing all of you ladies much success in your cycle. this is our 2nd attempt at IVE me 34 will be 35 in June hubby 27 will be 28 June. had a tubal in Sep 99 reversal Feb 08. After sugery one tube opened on tube not. tried for about 10mths no baby went to the doc the tube that was open is noe blocked tried IVF in Dec 09 7 folices 5 or 6 eggs . 3 mature , 2 transferred unsuccessful. Hoping all goes well this time

Hey Ladies! I am also a June IVF'er. This is my first cycle and I am extremely nervous. A little bit about me/us... Me (30- no known fertility issues) Husband (41-low count). We are in the Chicago area and have been married for 9 months. We have been trying for over a year but we knew that we might have issues TTC (both of our doctors have told us this from other issues/surgeries).

I started Lupron on the 21st and am waiting for AF to start the other meds. Heading into the doctor either Monday (if AF shows up) or Tuesday if she doesn't! I have never wanted to get my period so bad before...it is amazing how things change. So far I haven't had too many issues with the Lupron-just crabby but I can't tell if that is the end of the school year (I am a 3rd grade teacher) or the meds!!

It is so nice to be able to share stories and talk about what is going on!

hspiggy...where at in the Chicago area? There are a few of us in the area on this board. Sounds like we are on very similar cycles. Just finished provera and waiting for AF to arrive!!

So my doc office just informed me that they only start stimming on Thursdays, so if AF doesn't land around Monday or Tuesday it's right to the bcp for me. How frustrating At least I know I'm close!!

i took a first stab at a thread update so we can stay on top of everyone's progress. i am not super techy so could not figure out how to insert pretty graphics, if anyone knows how to add them in pls PM in so i can jazz this up a bit. and also let me know if i got any of your dates wrong or if you have more details to add!!

afm - i have been in amsterdam for work for a week, then off to the UK for more meetings. this is such a long strech away from home because i had to squeeze it all in before i started this jun cycle. then i'll be home for a while with maybe some domestic trips but no long flights or jetlag until my BCP. i talked to the pharmacy today and they are shipping all my meds on fri. can't wait to get started...
