June Cycle Buddies!

Hi everyone!

I am brand new to the site. I started the cycle late May, so I decided to join the June group.. Anyway, I am feeling completely freaked out and anxious. I started Lupron 2 weeks ago, and just this past Saturday, I started taking my Gonal-F shots. Today i went for my ultrasound and blood work. The nurse called and said that I only had one little follicle and told me to increase my dose of Gonal-F...
I have stage 4 endometriosis, and I've just been so careful as to not get too excited and get my hopes up with the treatment. I just feel like things are always so difficult for me.. I know, I’m so negative today (must be the hormones messing with me lol).
Ok, I'll stop with my sappy story. Im joining in order to get support and see that you guys are all going thru the same thing..

Hi everyone!!!!

See a bunch of new ladies joined! Its going to be nice to be able to share the experience of this journey with everyone!

I went yesterday for BW and they told me my estrogen levels are great and to increase my estrace pills from 2 to 4. Now I have to go back next week for more BW and US, and then I will be starting the PIO....which I am quite nervous about I have read on here from a lot of women that its painful . Looks like the FET is scheduled for June 11...hoping it comes fast as I am very anxious!!!! I don't know why but this second time around I am very emotional...I am crying all the time!!! Didn't happen last time - maybe its the meds or just nervous as I want that BFP this time!!!!! Well thats it for me...hope the rest of you are having a better day Thanks for listening...don't think I could do this without you guys!!!! Hearing everyone's stories makes this a little easier.

Hello All- AF has arrived, let the games begin . I definitely will kiss a horse's A** for a BFP this time (old joke, been on these boards to long ) I should start stims tomorrow night I can't believe it is here already, time flies when your having fun. I can't believe in maybe 2 weeks I could be preggo. I hope it sticks this time

Lisadbc- I feel the same way about the unknown. The 2ww is going to be terrible. I am just trying to take it day by day, and keep myself busy in the meantime.

I had my first bw & u/s today. The ultrasound tech really didn't start my day off well. This is my 3rd time going to her, and she is really cold. Turns her back to you, not very personable, and says nothing while she is doing it. I ask questions and she is very short with me. Seeing as I am my mothers daughter, I called and complained (she would be proud). I was happy that my RE called later and apologized. Because I have to go there almost daily next week, I am going to go to another office for the bw & u/s. HSPIGGY- WHat office do you go to? Do you like your u/s tech? ON a good note, the results were good, and I start stimming on Saturday.

Hi guys!

So I've been taking the my Gonal-F (150). I did an ultrasound on wed and the nurse said that they only saw one little follicle and that my estrogen level was 105. She told me to increase my dose to 225. Today I did another ultrasound and I could swear I only saw 2 follicles. Needles to saw I feel like crap! I have been taking the Gonal-F no for almost a week. Does this mean my body is not reacting well to it? Is the whole cycle ruined bc of it? I am worried and scared that this cycle will not work out (this is my first cycle doing ivf by the way).
Did any of you reacted slowly to the Gonal F?

byrnme- I go to the Hoffman Estates office and I love everyone there! They are so patient and answer all of my questions. They are also really accommodating!! I go back on Tuesday to find out what is going on with my crazy body...still never got AF. When I called them to make sure I understood why the Lupron was not suppressing me, they said I was the first one that ever ovulated through that dosage of meds in that office. I would have liked to have been the first for something good not bad
Hopefully I will get better news on Tuesday!

This is my first time here and not quite sure what all the codes mean....

I just finished all my testing today and I have about 2.5 weeks until I start the process...I dont know about all of you but I needed to lose a few pounds before the meds begin. I had 6 weeks to lose 23 lbs... down 16 with 7 to go.... Other than that... my Hubby wont really discuss this because he is nervous... we have been trying for years...not real seriously...but trying... It seemed strange to me that after 5 years nothing had happened...long story short....here I am... It would be really nice to have someone to talk to thats going through the same thing...

Well here's my latest update...I went for U/S and B/W on thurs. It went well, ovaries are good, and blood levels good, so i started stimming that night. im on gonal-f 225 and start menopur tonight. i was so overwhelmed with that appointment and wanted to cry because i was getting so confused when nurse was teaching me how to do the injections. i think its the meds, i have been so emotional and a lil scattered. i have been having other side effects, increased tiredness, nausea, bad headaches...but just keep reminding myself what its all for and it makes it easier to get through it.

Hi everyone – welcome to the newbies on this board, it’s nice to see the board get so busy
Hspiggy – sorry to hear about the ovulation/ AF/ cyst issues. Does your clinic think the cyst could impact your cycle or can they proceed anyway?
Jenice – yay for AF and for getting started. Baby dust to you, this will be YOUR TIME!
Byrnme – sorry to hear about your painful & cold U/S. ISome nurses are just so cold & clinical. Good for you to call & complain (seriously, for what we pay the clinics, we should at least get good customer service!). I always ask 100 questions during my tests (I am one of those type A people who need to understand EVERYTHING that’s going on) and one of the nurses at my clinic always looks so annoyed with me and my questions. Oh well!
Chiara – don’t panic yet about your cycle. Follies are hard to count at the beginning when they are little. I was told I only had 13 in my beginning of my first cycle and we ended up with 21 mature ones. I don’t know that they can really see all that well at the very beginning of the cycle. My RE only seemed to care how my hormone levels were going up in the first couple days of stimming (then towards the end of the cycle the size & number of follies is what they track more closely) – have they been giving you results of your BW?
Hopeagain – Welcome, fellow traveller! Hope you can have a travel free cycle so you don’t have to deal with travelling w/ the meds or rushing home for doc apt…
Nel0120 – Welcome! Congrats on losing all that weight, that’s amazing!! Did you do a special diet? I so need to go on a diet too, I gained almost 15 pds on my first cycle and having been gaining on top of it since. And if I get what I want with this cycle it’s only going to go up from here 

AFM – I am finally back home after 14 days on the road, and it sure feels good to be home! Poor DH, he does not see me for 2 weeks then I get home and start my meds right away, I give him a week before he starts wishing I was back in Amsterdam... My meds were supposed to be delivered today but my RE had forgotten to get pre-authorization from my insurance so they were only able to ship synarel which I need to start on Tue. The rest will arrive in the next week. That took A LOT of phone calls with the pharmacy to iron it all out late last week, and the pharmacist kept calling me in the middle of my night in Amsterdam, even though I told her 3 times I was in Europe. Fun, fun. On another note, I just hired a woman for my team, she started 2 weeks ago, and announced to me on her first week on the job that she is 4 months pregnant. That was the most cruel joke ever – not only am I slightly jealous (I have to admit), but also pretty bitter that I will spend time training her only to see her go on maternity leave and leave a void on our team 4 short months from now (in Europe they get 4 weeks off before the due date). I am trying so hard to be happy for her & her husband but right now I can’t. And that makes me feel like a pretty awful individual. OK enough of Debbie Downer, it’s memorial weekend (YAY!) and I plan on spending plenty of time at the pool and eating & drinking with our friends & neighbors - hopefully that’s the last time I’ll be able to drink for a very long time What are you all doing this weekend? Did anyone see the new Sex & the city movie?

I watch the Sex and the city it is awsome.
I stoped the BCP on thurstday and now i wait for AF,i am kind of spotting but when it will come anyone know?
I was reading your post and most of you know how everything will look like the order of meds ,the time frame,the FET .I really don't know anyhting:(should i ask the doctor?I know i have to call when AF arrives so they can do blodd tests and U/S and i will start the meds,but how long?
anyway how is everybody hand in there?

Julia- Your not a bad person, you just have feelings. I know I have resented some people we know when they become pregnant. It is really hard to be excited for someone else, when we are being tortured to get the same result and it just accidently happens for them. I have a DD and she wasn't easy to get either. I lost 2 pregnancies before her and had surgery.I was told then to do IVF but I know we couldn't afford it and we thankfully finally got lucky. I think we appreciate our DD more than others that just stumble on being pregnant. I looove to spoil my DD I think cause of it. I know I don't even like to see preggo people which I see all the time. My DD was in preschool and every preschool mother has a big belly and always carrying a baby in their arms. I think after awhile you become numb to it. It is funny cause I have a DD, so people actimatically assume I'm fertile. So, I get the ? " Are you going to have more ?" or " You have more children than your DD ?" it becomes akward and annoying. I don't want to explain how my life has sucked trying to have a baby and losing 3 pregnancies and surgeries and numerous IVF attempts. If I do explain all that to someone I know, you can tell they feel stupid for asking all the questions. Then you get the pity party syndrome from them which I am so over in getting from people I don't know that well. I am so thankful to have our DD, she is our world I would have a couple of more if we could afford it. Just think maybe you and the woman @ your work can swap pregnancy symptoms in a little while. I know that was kinda fun asking other preggo women their experiences. I know for myself gettin my DD, third time was the charm

AFM- I started stims 2 nights already done, YAY!!!!!! I could do ER around the 8th Just starting to feel tired and have a bloated feeling . Follistim or follisting does sting a little. I don't mind this shot, and I will be doin ganarelix soon and menapur. I hate the progesterone shots, I actually feel anxious before getting them. DH tries but sometimes he has hit a blood vessel and wow I see stars I hate them, hate them, hate them !!!!!! I got that out of my system,LOL

hi zitinia,and welcome. I am doing fet as well and it took me 3 days after bcp to start but i called as soon as i started spotting and they said that it counted as the same so if you are spotting i would call and tell them that.
my doc said the transfer will take place around the tenth of june so for me from start of AF to transfer is only 14 days .yayyy things go much faster than with ivf.

thanks for the replay:)I have to call them tomorrow,cause they are closed today(memorial day)it is rally weird spotting,but i heard that this is actually normal.....i can't go tomorrow for blood test if they want me to go,do you think it's not going to be too late if i go next day?

oh i certainly dont think it would be to late ,especially becouse you are just now spotting,but i would definantly call and let them know ,it all depends on your doctor.as for my doctor he wanted to see me on day 3 of my period for an ultrasound .
