June Cycle Buddies!

kywildcat - your situation sounds a bit like mine. When I went for my first U/S after stimming for a week, I was told there were only 6 follies in the running. This was such a surprise because last time I had alot more and this time I was on a higher dosage. I am a bit baffled by that!

AFM - 4 of the 5 eggs fertilized and I am driving myself crazy waiting for Thursday transfer...just praying alot that my baby is in that group. I just want them in my body...I feel like they are my babies in a petri dish and they need their mommy.

Well... still not AF. I have never wanted to actually start so badly before. I just want to be able to start the Lupron and Follistim and get the process underway. I guess until then I am just anxiously waiting.

Hspiggy- I did my ER this morning. We were there bright ant early, and just got home. THe IV was the worst part. I do have some stomach pain, but that was expected. I will be taking it easy all day. We did it at the Highland Park office.

They were able to retrieve 35 eggs!! I was amazed. We will get the call tomorrow with how many are fertilized. On Friday, we should find out if we are doing a 3 or 5 day transfer. I am off to bed. I have lots of TV that needs to be watched. Baby dust to everyone!

nice to hear that you all are doing well in your cycles. i havent been updating much this past week, it has been very emotional for me. last saturday i went in for U/S and blood work. dr pulled back on menopur for a fear of hyperstimulation since i already had 30 follicles. when i did my next b/w my e2 levels went down very low which mean my follicles were starting to collapse. dr said this was very rare and had seen only one case. So we had the decision to make to keep going with the risk there wouldnt be any eggs. or start over. it didnt really take much thinking for me, with a strong faith my dh and i decided to go forward. so ER was completed and 3 eggs retrieved. out of 3, two were immature and the 3rd was fertilized. Considering the odds we are very happy. All it takes is one to have a baby. My ET is scheduled for tomorrow!! I believe in miracles and im going to keep on believing...

Saw my RE today and he was still not very positive about only seeing 7 follicles. He has now mentioned possibly moving my retrieval from Tuesday (which was Monday) to EVEN Wednesday. Not to mention, I had to refill follistim and menopur ($$$$) to get me through weekend now, but I this is my last try so I can't stop now. Just wondering what this could do to the follicles that are being seen right now. With my last IVF, out of the 8 mature and 7 fertilized (minus 2 transferred) NONE of them made to be frozen. So what am I looking at now?

Hi everyone!
I’ve been away from the site a bit—had to make some tough decisions. We decided we only have enough money to do 2 IVF cycles so they have to be really good ones. Unfort, I stimmed unevenly this time. Had 7 follies this time around but they were all different sizes! From 21mm to 9mm. Seems this cycle was a royal screw up. Not sure why, which is frustrating. We did things nearly the same as last time (was on BCP first) but last time at least they were all the same size. My RE said my chances of preg were about the same whether we went for IVF or IUI (5% lower), so we decided to convert to IUI. Have any of you converted to IUI before and got a BFP? 2ww here I am!

Jenice—How are you doing? Are your follies evening up? I tried going to acupuncture to help it even up as in acupuncture they can alter the blood flow from one side to another. My RE also said that if only one is larger but the rest are all the same size they can sacrifice the big one and just wait for all the others to grow to the right size, if the smaller ones are making good progress.

TDF_28, Millersmommy and Flystar: looks like we will be on the 2ww together soon. I was trying to be on bedrest all day yesterday but got so antsy after one day of reading and watching TV! So surprising, as I was looking forward to the R+R. Is sitting and writing at the computer here the same as lying in bed? I know if you sit up in bed it’s considered bedrest, so isn’t sitting in a chair the same??

Craftycat: 5 eggs is actually pretty good! Usually they won’t let you transfer more than 2-3 anyway, so I think 5 is good!

Hspippy 79: I am amazed you are getting 19 follies all the same size. How awesome!

Lisadch: Good luck with the transfer of your little ones! I felt the same way with my little embies last time around—especially when they gave me the picture of them growing. I wanted to frame it and show it to everyone! But of course didn't.

Byrnme—what an amazing cycle you are having! Hoping you have lots of good ones in there that keep on growing, growing, growing!

Narly 2000—Good luck to you. All it takes is one, so you shouldn’t give up. You never know b/c it’s all about the quality. I heard if it is genetically normal the chances are very high, even if it’s just one. Are you feeling anything yet? I'm not feeling anything...

Kywildcat—bummer on more meds. but if you had 8 follies mature last time and this time you have 7, seems that you are not doing too bad—at least it’s similar to last time, right? Are you on the same protocol as before? I was on a different protocol this time (Lupron) and it seemed that I stimmed a lot slower initially than when I was on the antagonist protocol. Took me a lot longer to get started, then at the end, things started to really take off. Don’t be too worried, the eggs will still get mature, but it just takes a little longer for them to get there. Better to wait for them to be mature then to go into the ER too early.

I just wanted to say good luck to everyone!!! So many of us are so close and it is great to have a place to share and be nervous together. I know this has helped me so much with this journey! I hope all everyone get their positives really soon!!!

I went in for US and BW this morning and it looks like ER will be Saturday. I had 27 follicles today...no wonder I am so sore and crampy. I will be going in again tomorrow to check on all the little follies!! My close friends who know about the process have a new nickname for me - they are calling me the easter bunny!! They ask when the easter bunny is going to drop off the eggs!! HA! It is nice to have some humor in such a stressful process!

i am on stims 7 days today was my 3 u/s,the nurs sai that i had more follicle then last time size about 12 to 9 she said that everything looks perfect and friday to go again,most likely ER sunday or monday............do you guys think that sound good as she said?
by the way the follicle last time were may be 9,now she counted them 13-14.........
what do you think?

Hi Tdf well here we are only one full day away,i have been meaning to put a post on here much sooner but i have gotten so busy with ..coming up with things to keep myself busy to get my mind off how excited i am ..uuugghhh i have done everything from getting my hair done to cleaning my house to visiting and now im wore out hahaha, well i hope that that needle is playing nice with your tooshie!! have you gotten use to it yet? if that is even possible. i got lucky this time and dont have to do a shot as the last fet round i had an allergic reaction to the oil that the medicine is suspended in.so this time its supositories for me. I hope all is well with you ,have you found out what time on friday that you get to do the transfer ? i called the tennessee clinic today and found out mine is at 11:30 .so we will have to leave early to give us time to get there and i plan on eating a big breakfast before the transferr so that way there is no stopping to eat on the way back ..its straight to the couch for me!!
i just skimmed through some new posts and it looks as though we have about 4 or 5 of us doing the 2ww together!!!
how exciting .as for me when im resting on friday it will give me plenty of time to read the posts .

Bryneme - 35 eggs...that is amazing. I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous. You should have plenty to freeze. I hope they all fertilize...that would be even more amazing!!

Narly2000 - It does only take one egg. I will be praying for your little one to keep growing.

kywildcat - My ER was delayed a day and I thought the extra day was driving me crazy...but yours being pushed again, how frustrating. I hope your follies keep growing.

AFM- My transfer is set for tomorrow morning. I can't hardly stand it. I am so scared that I will get there tomorrow and be told (or get a call before I leave) that none of my little ones made it to day 5. When the clinic called and set up the time, I asked if they knew if they were still even alive. Since they don't check on day 4,they couldn't say, other than they were yesterday when they checked them. But I know a lot can happen from day 3 to day 5. Oh....will this torture ever end!!!

Hi millersmommy! I can't believe it...one day away!!!!!!!! I am so excited that the big day is one day away!!!! I also have been pretty busy...had a few things going on this week along with cleaning the house and getting all ready for the big day! Well the PIO is not as bad I was expecting thank god!!! I mean the injection is not bad and I am sore a bit but not too bad and hey this is all worth it if I get a BFP!!!!!!!!!!!! My transfer is scheduled for 1:20 pm tomorrow and I am having laser acupuncture before that so will be at the clinic at 12:20...so excited tomorrow will be an exciting day!!!! I have a lot of TV shows on my DVR and will pick some movies tonight that way I am all set for the couch tomorrow!!! I wish you lots of luck tomorrow...lots of sticky baby dust!!! Hope to be able to catch up on our 2 WW as this is the hardest part!!! Good LUCK!!

Hi ladies!

I hope I can join you all here, i was in the May cycle group but got delayed and will be having my transfer next friday. Since most of the ladies on the other group are done with their 2ww's I thought i would jump in here to have some buddies during the next 3 weeks

I have 1 blast frostie that i'm praying will make the thaw. Had my stripe check us today and everything looks good lining is nice and thick and will have my transfer on the 18th.

I hope i can catch up with you all there is so much going on here

Went and saw RE today and things have changed a little. Starting Lupron today, and starting Follistim 175 IU, Estrogen patch, and Estrogen pill Saturday. Just glad to have things underway now. Appointments scheduled for next Wed, Fri, and then maybe Monday the 21st. Retrieval tentatively June 22/23 and Transfer June 25/26!!!! Good Luck to everyone.

Hopeagain - I think my follies have caught up. RE couldn't see my left ovary So, I have to do a bowel prep for ER. My follies did this last cycle, I had lead follicles which were 20mm while all other ones were 14mm. My eggs always need time to mature, I'm no spring chicken anymore I think I have 10 eggs to be retrieved.

narly2000- I just saw on a baby story, woman went through IVF and she had one frostie left after multiple attempts and it worked !!!! I did a clomid cycle with my DD and had only 3 eggs and I had my DD. You never know that one egg could split to be 2
