Daisymae congratulations!!!!! How exciting…this has been a magical month and thank you to all of you ladies with BFP for keeping the rest of us so positive.
Blairwh58 congrats on the transfer and 10 cells sounds really positive- was it a 3 day transfer? I just wanted to know how did the transfer go? Was it hard? Ours will hopefully be the week of 4th of July through the 7th –not sure of exact day so I am a bit nervous.
Millersmommy good luck with the u/s and yay! for the rising progesterone. I have to do the injection from the start and I am so scared of that one....lol I know it sounds silly and as long as we get a baby it doesn't matter but I sorta wish my RE would agree to suppositories instead of the inj.
Is anyone out there doing the injections and if so how bad is the shot?

Annashope...the injections aren't that bad. One thing I learned from doing 11 weeks straight of the PIO injections is that if you warm the oil before you do your shot it won't hurt as much. Sit on a heating pad when you are done so it will help dissipate the oil too. You will be a little sore from it, but it really isn't that terrible. I will be doing a transfer at the end of next week sometime, so you and I will be in the 2ww together.
thanks so much for the great advice I will definitely try that. I am excited to have a cycle buddy since this has been so tough and most of our friends and family don't understand what we are going through and only make things worse by suggesting that we give up on having children and move on....so anyways, thanks for all of the support to everyone on this board and it is so nice to be among people who understand what we are going through

I too am glad to have the support of everyone in this cycle group. You all have been very positive and helped me make it through. Since none of our family and friends know anything about all our infertility struggles, it can be beyond frustrating sometimes. As much as we want to tell, we figure its a lot less pressure without everyone asking how we are doing or how things are going.
As for the Progesterone injections- I actually opted for the injection over the suppository. As much as I dislike getting a shot every night, I figured it was better than having stuff leaking out all the time (and its about 1/4 of the cost). What makes me nervous is that once my DH starts overnight call I will have to do my own shots every 4th night. Anyone have suggestions for doing your own Progesterone injection?
Congrats again to daisymae and all others with BFP!! And good luck all the other 2ww.
Blair, giving yourself the PIO shot isn't that bad. The first time is a little scary. If you can get a chair to rest your knee on, it will hold you steady while you try to do it the first time, and look in a mirror..after you get the hang of it you won't need the chair or the mirror. I got really light headed the first time I did it. haha. It wasn't a big deal after that.
Congratulations on your transfer today, enjoy your days on bed rest, and find a good book to read. Hopefully the days will pass quickly and you get a BFP!
daisymae: a big big congratulation for your BFP...such news gives hope to all of us..knowing that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Enjoy the journey to motherhood
Blair: glad to hear that the transfer went well. 10 Cells wow. What do you plan to do during the 2WW. Any special diet? I read somewhere that pineapples and milk help with implantation. Does anybody know if this is scientifically proven?
This board has really been very help. The fact that non of our families and friends know that we are going through IVF makes things difficult because I cannot talk to anybody. Hence you ladies have been amazing with your stories and encouraging words . It's amazing how strong you are.

BETA 10/10
I hadn't really thought about my diet during the 2ww. We had read that a mediterrian diet was good for fertility. If pineapples and milk help then I am all for it (and I don't even like milk). I usually get my calcium from pills, yogurt, cheese...etc. I was told to work on something during the 2ww, so I'm thinking I may pick up the scrapbook I never started from our wedding 2 1/2 yrs ago. Either that or finish the blanket I started crocheting for my husband. Who knows what I will do to pass the time.
Dinagin- I know exactly what you are going through since you can't tell family or friends. I have 1 person that I met through a mutual friend, who had done 6 IVFs so she is the only person who has any idea of all the IUIs, and this IVF cycle. It gets so frustrating, expecially when my sister (who got pregnant on birth control), uses her 3 kids as her excuse for anything. Since she doesn't know what we have been going through she doesn't think about what she says. Maybe sooner than later we can both tell all our family and friends the great news!
As for giving myself the progesterone injection, I'll probably practice a few times while my husband is here. My first official solo attempt will be july 2. Thanks for the advice on how to do it though! I really appreciate all the positive thoughts from everyone here.
